Rick Majerus made many friends over his years in college basketball among his fellow coaches. As news of his death spread Saturday, those friends and fans of the game offered their remembrances and condolences.

RIP to my friend and mentor Coach Majerus. I learned so much about the game and life. We lost a One of the best! My heart is heavy tonight.— Porter Moser (@PorterMoser) December 2, 2012
Majerus' death came on the same day as the passing of John Crigler, who played for the Kentucky Wildcats' 1958 NCAA championship team, known as the Fiddlin' Five:
I was saddened to hear about the losses. Rick's one of the all-time greats. John, as #BBN knows, was an important part of the Fiddlin' Five.— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) December 2, 2012
