So, uh, it looks like the question we asked about Kentucky yesterday may have been a bit premature. Relegated to the NIT after a disappointing season, the defending national champions lost to Robert Morris in the lesser tournament's first round. Even coach John Calipari admitted that Kentucky deserved to lose -- the Wildcats fell behind early and committed a lot more turnovers than you'd expect from one of college basketball's marquee programs. Fortunately, they've still got a pretty good recruiting class, and if Nerlens Noel returns, 2014 could see Kentucky back in the tournament, this time with (probably) a proper amount of motivation.

Kentucky's future?

The Wildcats ended the season in embarrassing fashion, but that doesn't necessarily mean they should be counted out for 2014.

Should Noel return?

Nerlens Noel might have been one of Kentucky's many one-and-done wonders, but his injury could mean his best move would be to come back for one more year.
