Baseball is back! We are stupidly excited for this. It's been a gray and cold winter without it, and despite the fact that we've been at our most cynical today (it is April Fools' Day, after all), Opening Day is one of the few things that we can enjoy unironically. The Astros and the Rangers kicked things off last night, with Houston's debut in the American League going about as well as it could have hoped, but today's slate of games features at least one potential World Series matchup (Angels-Reds) and a showdown between the Giants and Dodgers that may foreshadow 2013's best divisional race.
The Tigers made it to the World Series last year on the strength of Miguel Cabrera and Justin Verlander, but can they do it again?
The Giants won their second World Series in three years last season, but will they win the NL title and be able to try for two in a row?
