But math was powerless to keep Blake Griffin from landing on Lamar Odom's foot in practice and spraining his ankle. Now the Clippers find themselves down 3-2 and headed to Memphis, where the Grizzlies can close out the series Friday night. Will Griffin, who played 20 minutes in Tuesday's loss, return in Game 6? The idea is to gas out the Grizzlies starters, and then have your bench outplay their bench. The problem is that they are gassing out the Grizzlies starters and are playing their bench against the Grizzlies starters, who are dominating them."
• JKC1990: "Biggest difference in this series is the interior play of Randolph and Gasol versus Griffin and Jordan. Blake needs to work on his post game and the Clippers might be better suited getting a Center who can create his own shot versus a guy like Jordan who gets all of his points off of Chris Paul. The Lob City act is fine for fans, but it won't win titles. Randolph and Gasol have just dominated this series on the inside, and the Clippers have no answer. Their only consistent, capable scorer other than Paul is Jamal Crawford, and he comes off the bench. "

Do whatever you have to do to console yourself. But the truth is, if the loss of a 14 and 6 guys costs your team a series, then you really aren't that good a team anyway. Memphis traded a better player, Rudy Gay (18 ppg & 6 Reb.) and never missed a lick."
