Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing were twice teammates, in 1984 and in 1992 with Team USA. For the rest of their Hall of Fame careers, they were competitors vying for the same championships, with Jordan's UNC Tar Heels and Chicago Bulls prevailing over Ewing's Georgetown Hoyas and New York Knicks.

Now, Ewing's goal is to become an NBA head coach. So it's interesting that Jordan, as owner of the Bobcats soon-to-be Hornets, has reportedly turned to Ewing as assistant head coach of the struggling franchise. Ewing has spent eight NBA seasons learning the ropes as an assistant. If and when he gets a team of his own, will he succeed?
