Who's better -- Messi or Ronaldo?

The first match day of UEFA Champions League is done, and the debate still rages: Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? That's because the latter netted a hat trick Tuesday in Real Madrid's 6-1 win at Galatasaray, only to be matched by the former Wednesday in Barcelona's 4-0 victory over Ajax. Both are at the top of their games, leading massive clubs in the direction of big things. Then again, let's not forget the rest of Europe; three of England's big four walked away winners, as did defending champion Bayern Munich.
