Panic time in San Francisco?

Just two weeks ago, a win over the Green Bay Packers had observers hailing the San Francisco 49ers as the NFL's best team -- or at least the NFC's. And hey, they reached the most recent Super Bowl, so why not? We'll tell you why not: the last two weeks, which saw a 29-3 thumping at the hands of the NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks and, more disconcertingly, a 27-7 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts. And things are as ugly as the scores would indicate; Colin Kaepernick suddenly can't throw (277 passing yards in the two losses), injuries (Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis) are mounting, and now Aldon Smith is leaving the team indefinitely to deal with personal issues. Is it time to panic by the Bay?
