CFB playoff selection committee

College football's new playoff system needs a method of selecting the teams involved, and the NCAA has settled on a 13-member selection committee. It revealed the committee's composition Wednesday, and it includes names like Archie Manning, Condoleeza Rice and Barry Alvarez. Changing to a playoff system may be a necessity for college football, but is this committee the right way to go about selecting the next group of potential champions?
