Scott will be here soon!
Scott, down my 9 going into tonights game, i have Santonio and Jeff Reed going do i have a chance?
You should win easily - no reson to worry
Who's the handcuff to get for Alexander, Morris or Weaver?
Morris - Weaver is a fullback, more used for catching occasional passes
I am deep at WR with Buress, Jennings, Branch/Engram and need a RB with the LJ injury. I am targeting a team with MOJO, Lynch and SJAX/Leonard who needs a WR. What would be a good trade scenario to offer?
I think if you can get Lynch for Jennings, I would go for it
Scott, trade Kevin Jones and Cotchery to get Edgerinn James cupcake schedule over the last half of the season? I'm deep at WR.
I would keep Jones, who will post better all-around yardage numbers - that's too much to give up anyway
Scott - I have the Chargers D and the Giants D, but both seem to have pretty tough matchups this weekend (SD vs. Colts, NY vs. Dallas). I have a hard time playing a D against the Colts, but the Giants are playing against my #1 QB (Romo) and one of my starting RB?s (Barber). Should I play Big Ben instead of Romo so that I am not so conflicted? Or should I drop one of the D?s and hit waivers for a one week start? I almost have to play Barber because I own LJ. I am not too deep at that position and he may be out this weekend. Thanks in advance!
Start the Giants - your confliction will not affect the outcome - if Romo plays terrible and you bench the Giants, you'll hurt your outlook - the fact they face each other should not affect your decisions - rooting for something to happen or benching someone does not affect outcomes or maximize your production
Scott ? I got K Jones, Bush, Jacobs, Chatman. Fargas on wire. Add him too? Or am I just being greedy?
I think you are fine at RB and should search for help at other positions
Any news on Cutler? If Ramsey starts, what would you expect from him against the Chiefs? Thanks.
Too early to know as he has to undergo tests - I would not start Ramsey - he has always been erratic
Scott, do you think the Giants have more momentum than the Cowboys do coming into this game. I think the Giants do because they have won 6 games straight? Also, which qb has more pressure?
The New Jersey Giants have feasted on weak opponnets - Eli faces more pressure and will be a shaky fantay start
As an LJ owner, should I trade Fargas to get Priest? Or just start Fargas until LJ gets back?
I would start Fargas - Priest may not be able to carry th eload and could share time with Kolby Smith
85 getting on the plane has to be a very good sign. Do you think he misses time?
Getting on the plane does not mean he will play - early reports say he could miss one game
Hey Scott, I'm awaiting word on Alexander's MRI. Why don't NFL teams get these MRI's over with early on in the morning?
This week's fantasy games are not even done - have some patience
Clemens looked pretty solid against a tough Washington team yesterday. What can we expect from him the rest of the season??
I think he can be a very good fantasy backup, a few two-TD outings
If 85 misses one game does that make Chris Henry a better play?
After an eight-game layoff, I wouldn't expect him to explode right away
Scott, I am absolutely sick of Alexander and am convinced that he is done... should I go ahead and cut bait, let him ride the pine, or seek out a trade?
I would bench him because you are not going to get much in a trade but if he can regain form late, you'll regret cutting him
I'm thinking of offering Kitna & Marshall to a Braylon Edwards owner. I have Brees as my starting QB. Other party has Campbell as their QB, and a decent receiving corp behing Edwards. Fair trade? Thanks.
I don't think that will be enough to make the other owner want to give up Edwards - maybe you can offer Kitna for a slightly lesser WR
Still not sold on Lee Evans???
Nope - Joan Rivers could score against the Bengals
I have Romo and Kitna at QB. Should I look to trade Romo for an elite WR, or trade Kitna for someone like Houshmandzadeh?
Kitna would not get you Houshmandzadeh - I would keep Romo and move Kitna for a lesser WR who could still start
Fair trade: Boldin for Lynch?
If I had Lynch, I would want a better WR, but it's not overturnable
What do you think of Warner's fantasy value with his easy schedule for the remainder of the year? I have been playing QB's from waiver wire since I dropped Cutler about 4 weeks ago
Good production does not simply come from an easy sked - ability and production play into it too - Warner is not 100 pct and he's risky
Would you trade McNabb and Bush for Palmer and T.Jones if your other RBs were Adrian Peterson and Gore?
No, because Gore is not healthy and you need Bush until he recovers
Hey Scott, Need your help. Dynasty league...Is Brees for Edge a good trade? The other guy has MBIII, MJD and Maroney...should I ask for one of them instead? I'm 9-0 and thinking ahead to the playoffs. Edge has the friendliest schedule, but going forward, is this the best move? Thanks...love the chat.
Brees is playing to well to get only Edge for him - I think you could do better than any of those four RBs
The rest of the way, Big Ben or Mcnabb?
Roethliberger - he is underrated and definitely has been more steady
Sold on Lee Evans or not, that's your answer? You told people to bench Lee Evans in favor of WR's such as Brandon Stokley. You owe fantasy nation an apology. (except for me, since I didn't listen to you)
No, I am not sold on him - he had one good game againsta very bad D and a lucky jump ball the week before - after Miami he gets NE JAC and WAS and will disappear again - because he doesn't have any help
I made a bad trade last week. I needed to upgrade at TE so I traded Portis and Betts for Alexander, Shockey and Keith (I own Addai). Now Alexander is hurt, Jordan (my other #2 RB) is losing his job and Portis looked amazing yesterday! Ugg. Will I be able to get by with Kenny Watson as my #2 RB?
No you won't be able to get by - but don't kick yourself for what is done and keep trying to improve through other trades and pickups
Is Driver and TJones for Edge too much?
Neither has played well recently and might not be able to land Edge fo ryou
Dnab or Kitna the rest of the way?
Neither will be consistent, but I expect Kitna to have few more big games
Of these three, which two should i consistently start: lynch, edge, maroney?
Lynch - he has certainly proven himself as a regular fantasy starter and goal-line guy
Trade T Brady for D Anderson and Bush?
If I had Brady, I would not deal him - don't mess with success
Not necessarily a Lee Evans fan, but "Doesn't have any help," and "lucky jump ball?" Wouldn't you call Marshawn Lynch quite a bit of help. Wasn't the threat of Lynch grinding out first downs and running out the clock what created the opportunity for that jump ball against the jets? And isn't being able to consistently win such jump balls a valuable asset in a big play receiver (see Randy Moss)?
Evans doesn't come close to Moss in jump balls - he is more of stretch the field guy. He gets no help from the other Buffalo WRs - that TD was a prayer - Evans is no Moss - it's amazing what one jump ball and one game against a bad team will change people's perceptions when Evans has mostly stunk overall because of bad QB play and and a lousy supporting cast - he is still not a reliable fantasy starter
Scott, this question could help a lot of us, as the RB situation this year is a mess! Best "RB lottery ticket"? Adrian Peterson(CHI), Brian Leonard, Ryan Grant, Priest Holmes, or DeAngelo Williams?
Peterson - I really believe the Bears' patience will grow short with Benson
Traded Driver for Matt Schaub (my other qbs in 2 qb are rivers and clemens) smart move?
May not look good now, but when both Schaub and Andre Johnson are healthy again, they can both help you late in the year
Hey Scott, I have Houshmandzadeh and picked up C.Henry last week. What type of WR should I expect back in return for Henry? Thanks for you insight.
I think you should wait for Henry to actually produce and then you can sell higher on him
I have no TE and Foster is deep on my bench. Deal his For V. Davis?
If the other owner will surrender Davis, I would definitely do it.
Adrian Peterson(Chi)?!?! Sorry, but the GM just came out the other day and said Benson was their man and it wasn't his fault there is no blocking. AP will be nothing more than change of pace and even if they did bench Peterson, Wolfe would split those carries. Priest is the much better option, as LJ could be out a pretty long time!
Thanks for the hometwon input, Kevin, but those are all desperation choices and I never fully believe what team officials say publicly - plsu, Priest is a big risk who could share with Kolby Smith
6.3 is the average number of touchdowns Lee Evans has caught the past three years in the second half...(7,6,6) Does that seem like a trend?
No disrespect, but this is not fantasy baseball, where you can lock trends to past totals - I don't trust him for solid production
Scott this can probably help alot of people with the playoffs 5 weeks away. I have been offered Westbrook in a trade that is pretty fair. My question is do I NOT make this trade based on the teams Philly plays during playoffs weeks 14-16 Giants, Dallas and New Orleans. My current starting RB's are Portis and McGahee.
Westbrook will post the numbers no matter who he faces. I would get him for sure. Thanks a lot everyone!
