I'm here ready to go, let's chat.
do you think tenn. has the upper hand on getting marlo brown out of memphis?
I think the Vols have a great chance but watch out for Ohio State and Georgia, they're in the hunt.
What do you think of Mark Ingram and Julio Jones at Alabama?
Great start for these rookies. Ingram has a 5.7 yard per carry average and 159 yards plus he shows his versatility with three receptions.
Jones has five receptions and a touchdown; he should be a great one.
Rick Neuheisel's recruiting wasn't that great at Colorado or Washington. Why should one believe he will recruit better at UCLA?
I wouldn't say he was a bad recruiter. He went 66-30 at those two schools and three times won ten games.
The problem right now is that USC dominates California but he did get a good verbal with Richard Brehaut.
Has Anthony Lalota cooled on ND? I've read its now between Michigan and Penn St. Is this true?
I don't think the Irish are out of the picture. Lalota does like the fact, however, that Penn State is closer. He may decide within the next few weeks.
How bout the job Mark Dantonio is doing at Michigan State? That 2009 class looks awful good. Is there anyone on the radar who is favoring the Spartans?
Coach Dantonio is doing an excellent job. The 2009 class is very good but it is heavy on the offensive side.
All of the verbals are from the Midwest and when MSU was really strong in recruiting they ventured to Florida. They need to do that for defensive speed.
They would like to land players like Larvez Mars LB or Kedric Johnsn DE from the Sunshine State but they are both long shots for MSU.
Bill, With ECU's recent success, will it effect their recruiting?
They are doing an absolutely remarkable job. They do have some solid verbals already but they will need to beat North Carolina and N.C. State head to head to really make an imprint. Winning does great things.
Is Corey Adams down to Arizona St and Ohio St? Read that USC was moving on.
I think you are right on top of it but don't count USC as completely out of the picture.
Nebraska is hosting their top commit in QB Cody Green this weekend along with top targets like DB Gabe Lynn and DT Latu Heimuli. How big of a weekend can this turn out to be for Nebraska? How good are their chances with those two and how do you see their class shaping up? Is Nebraska still on the minds of top recruits?
This could be huge if they perform well. Green is a very good player and Lynn is exceptional. Nebraska is still in the game for a lot of players but they need to start landing some top guys.
Where do you think William Campbell will end up?
I still think he will stay close to home. Michigan State would love to have him and you know the Wolverines will not give up.
Bill, Notre Dame has brought in top 10 recruiting classes in each of the past three years. However, when I watch the games I just don't see any players. They look slow and unathletic. Is this a case of the recruiting "experts" being poor talent evaluators or is the ND coaching staff doing a poor job of developing that talent? It's not like they're beating out teams from the Sun-Belt or MAC to land these recruits. They're beating out USC, Ohio St, Florida, etc. When I watch those teams play I see real talent. I just don't see it at ND and I'm an Irish homer.
I have said several times within the past years that the Irish need more team speed. They work hard at recruiting and get good players but not a lot of burners.
Academics make it tough at times but they try hard. For a few years they went too far West and didn't have a lot of success. This is a big year for them.
ND has a lot of recruits visting this weekend for the Michigan game is there a chance any of them commit while on campus?
There are some top players like Glen Carson LB and Devon Curtis DE but don't look for many if any commits.
What do you think of Tim Brewster's second season as coach of the Gophers? Will he bring in another top 20 recruiting class?
He and his staff are all over the place but they need to have a good showing in the Big Ten this year to help their national image.
How about Paul Johnson at Georgia Tech? His offense is turning Jonathan Dwyer into a household name, will this become a destination for top RB prospects? He has a commit from Jordan Luallen, so I guess that helps to dispel the myth that he won't be able to recruit QB's?
If they can keep improving and beat some of the big boys, GT will attract good RB's. It will be interesting to see how opponents defend his offense as the season progresses.
Hey Bill, I'm not hearing much about UGA lately, whats the story? Are they almost done, who do they have left?
Obviously they are having a great class with 14 verbals but there is some room for players like Reuben Randle and Andre Debose, two great wide receivers.
Thanks for all the outstanding questions. See you in the endzone!
