Chat with Paul Kuharsky

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:59 PM)

Hello everybody. Thanks for coming by... I'll try to answer as much AFC South stuff as I can. Fire away..

James (San Francisco, CA

What is going on with Jerry Porter?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:00 PM)

It sure seems weird, doesn't it? He's not in the plan. Suggests to me they aren't seeing dedication or production in practice...

James (Mill Valley, California)

What is it going to take for the 3-3 Jags to chase down the 5-0 Titans?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

For starters, the Jags can't lose to any of these soft teams -- Cleveland, Cincy, Detroit. If they're 6-3 in a month, they've still got a chance. I don't think they can win the division, but I do think they can get a wild card...

Mad Mike (Houston)

Paul: Well, last week at Reliant was certainly a 180 from the week before. I would like to think that we will be sitting at 3-4 after the next two weeks with the Lions and bengals coming to town. Giving us a shot to turn things around in November. Your thoughts?..........MM

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

I'm with you. But anytime you look at a couple games and say those should be wins, this league surprises you. I think the first win takes a lot of weight off of them, though...

JB (TX)

Might as well get the VY questions out early: your take on his media session yesterday and when do you think we'll see this "package" Fisher was hinting about?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

Don't know about the package. I suspect not soon. He was good in media session with large group. But five minutes before that he blamed media for everything in a chat with Tom Curran of NBCSports.com. So we came in to write feeling like he'd helped himself, only to read the earlier interview a little while later...

Steve (Syracuse, NY)

What are the thoughts of the Titans with the new pacman drama, they lose a 5th rounder this year right?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

The price of washing their hands... They traded six weeks of Pacman and a fifth rounder for Lavelle Hawkins, pretty much...

Garett (Brighton, Mi)

Hey Paul how are ya? I know this is a AFC South chat, but from your stand point, what did you think of the Roy Williams trade to Dallas?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

I don't think he's worth that much. But more power to the Cowboys for being aggressive...

Bill Williamson (Somewhere I Belong)

Sando or Mosley?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:06 PM)

That's like choosing chicken or fish. I like both...

Paul (Nashville)

Hi Paul, I enjoy your appearances on 104.5. Are we likely to see Lavelle Hawkins in a game anytime soon? He seems talented but lacking in some discipline or some intangible that keeps him on the sideline. Thanks.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

They don't work in kid receivers early. I'm not hearing anything to indicate they will change how they operate...

Steve (Memphis,TN)

Titans trap game vs. Chiefs or do they pull out a win?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

Trap game is such an overrated concept. They could lose any week of course. But they handled the Chiefs last year in KC and they weren't this good and the Chiefs were better...

Joe Davidson (Stamford)

Thomas Jones against Oak or Chris Johnson against KC?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

Tough call. I presume you drafted CJ higher. I'd play CJ I think...

Jason (Buffalo)

With Joseph Addai out a few weeks, can the Colts survive with Rhodes?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

Yes. It's not Rhodes I'd be worried about, it's the guys behind him where there will be drop off...

George (Franklin, TN)

How much of a margin do you think Collins has with Coach Fisher? Do you think a couple of bad quarters be enough for Young to get the nod?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

I think he's got quite a bit of margin...

Steve (Syracuse, NY)

Ah not Fantasy Football questions! Will we see more of Lendale this week coming off the bye?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

Probably. And he'll get it near the goal line...

Jay (Middletown, CT)

Mike Shanahan called Jeff Fisher before the 2006 draft and asked about Jay Cutler. IS Fisher kicking himself now for not taking Cutler instead of Young?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:11 PM)

That's overrated I think. They are friends and they talked about a player. You think Shanahan, and offensive guru, didn't have a handle on a potential franchise QB on his own? I think he knew exactly what he was getting. As for Fisher, guys can spend a lot of time regretting draft choices if they let themselves...

Dude (St. Joseph, Missouri)

Why was there not a penalty called on the blocked punt in overtime last week between Arizona and Dallas. The punters foot was broken from the player running into him. I believe it was a missed call unless I missed something?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

If you get the ball there is no such thing as roughing...

Steve (Syracuse, NY)

Is it a possibility to use the franchise tag on big Al again next year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

Not once he meets an incentive that dictates he can't be franchised again...

Bill (Knoxville)

Why no word on a fine or suspension on Matt Jones? After all it was Cocaine.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

Eventually. But is the case even finalized yet?

Henry (Yona, Guam)

How do you expect the return of Meester and Naeole to impact the Jag's offense?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

That's a good question. They've played a few good games with the line as is. If those guys are better, the offense will be better. I have to see them play...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

The Colt waived a DT for McCargo - do they get the waived guy back on roster since the trade fell through?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

Buffalo either takes him back or lets him go. If the Colts liked him, then they can pick him up without having given up a pick...

James (Nashville, TN)

I heard you on 104.5 The Zone, and you said the Titans wouldn't resign Haynesworth? You gotta be kidding me. Why would you say that?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:16 PM)

They can't afford him -- the way they pay. They aren't allowed to talk contract with him until the end of the regular season. At that point he's going to be within six weeks or so of free agency. Someone will make him the highest-paid defensive player in the league. He'd be nuts not to wait to see those offers, and one will blow the Titans out of the water...

Tim (Boise)

Can the Titans really ride Kerry Collins to a Super Bowl or are we seeing another Baltimore type with great defense and average QB?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:16 PM)

Of course he's an average QB. But Baltimore won a Super Bowl with Dilfer...

JB (Jax, FL)

Did the Colt's-Ravens game give you flashes of Super Bowl Colts, or was it a well played game vs. a bad team?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

It gave me flashes of very good Colts. And that it was against that defnese was impressive. They are on their way back...

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

The one-two punch of Slaton and Green seems to be effective. Think the HOU running game is coming together?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

It should come together against Detroit and Cincy...

Los Angeles, CA

Will Roy E Williams perform well in Dallas? Is he worth a fantasy pick-up?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

He's available? Yes pick him up....

Steve (Syracuse, NY)

Titans like Jason Jones to replace big Al or do you see them going DL early in the draft?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

I don't know if they know that yet. They'd certainly need another. How much of a value pick they'd spend there is hard to say...

Joey (Rochester, New York)

In 1990, Steve DeBerg broke his pinkie against the Oilers. He played with a pin in it and wrapped it up. Why can't Romo?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

He might. He doesn't even need surgery. I think the concern is further injury that would put him out long term...

John in Denver

How does the schedule work in terms of out of conference opponents? Id like to see a Cutler vs. Young matchup. Thanks

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

It rotates divisions. Then you have two games against the two teams from the other AFC divisions that finished where you did. So if Denver and Titans both win their divisions it wouuld line up. Vince has to get back in the lineup first...

JB (TX)

Can we peek ahead to the huge Colts/Titans MNF game in 2 weeks? What are your early thoughts? Even if you throw out Week 17 last year the last few games have been really close and highly competitive.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

I think it will be a very tight, good game and I think Nashville will be in a frnzy...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

Do you honestly think Pacman is in rehab right now - and if so does it have any hope of working?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

I'm the wrong guy to ask. I gave up on him a long time ago...

Bill (Knoxville)

I found this on ESPN and it indicates the court system has made it's decision. "An Arkansas judge accepted Matt Jones into a drug program that could erase a felony cocaine charge." So when does Goodell make his decision? Last year it would have already been made and a suspension handed down.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

No, not for a first offense it wouldn't. He'll get to it. That says "could erase." He could wait to see if it does erase...

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Joey Porter had a pretty good day against Duane Brown. You think Brown is providing effective protection on the left side? Just rookie woes?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

Rookie woes plus a 3-4 plus a very good rusher. I think he's doing OK overall...

pat (Haskell NJ)

do you think vanden bosch and tony Brown will play this week

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

Don't know. I'd say maybe on KVB and no on TB...

Joe the Plumber (Ohio)

Paul- Love the blog! I'm a big Jag's fan. How do you get through the Bye weekend- the two week layoff is just too much for me!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

I get through it by going to Lambeau for Colts-Packers! Pretty good weekend. No byes when you have a whole divison...

Jay (Middletown, CT)

If Fisher and Shanny are friends, what happened with the advice on Travis Henry?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

Good question. Shanahan does what he wants...

pat (Haskell NJ)

do you think tennessee will resign albert haynesworth

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

I've covered this over and over. No. He's going to meet incentives that mean he cannot be tagged again. Then he'll be within six weeks or so of free agency. He won't be able to resist waiting to see the market. Someone will make him the highest paid defensive player in football on the first day. He may call the Titans as a courtesy, and they will say 'Good luck.' I'd be very surprised if he is a Titan next year...

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Will Dunta Robinson be in the lineup for Sunday? Starting or rotating in/out?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

They aren't sure yet. If he plays, 16 to 18 snaps...

Frank (Pell Lake, WI)

Larry Johnson will not play (suspended) for the Chiefs this Sunday. Any prediction as to what a final score will be? I say 24-10.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

I resist picking winners and losers and scores. I do think the Titans will be fine this weekend...

Anthony, Nashville

Every year people doubt the Titans. Pick the Jags & Texans to finish ahead of them. The reasons why they will always be better is the coaching by Jeff Fisher, Mike Munchak, Jim Schwartz & Jim Washburn. They are the core of what makes that team go.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

So broad in proclaiming the doubt of the Titans. I picked the Titans second behind the Colts. You are right, excellent coaching is a huge key for them...

Mad Mike (Houston)

Paul: Indy handled Balt last week, but they have a weak "O", so I am not convinced they are all of a sudden back to normal. The week before they were pretty much manhandled for most of the game. I don't think we really know where they are until they complete the next 4 games; @ The Pack, @ Tenn, host the Pats and then finish in Pittsburgh. I think they don't fare better than 2-2 in those, but I suspect more of a 1-3 or shudder the thought of 0-4. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks........MM

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

I think there is no chance they go 0-4. I think 2-2 at worst...

Da'Juan (Jacksonville, FLA)

Paul- Are there Jags fans anywhere outside Northern Florida?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

I hear from some...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

Granted he's pretty young, but would Jeff Fisher consider retirement if the Titans were to win a Super Bowl within the next 5 years?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

I seriously doubt it. When coaches win a Super Bowl, they generally like the challenge of trying to do it again...

pat (Haskell NJ)

do you think the titans will be good enough on offense this year to make a deep playoff run

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:31 PM)

The more I see the rest of the conference, the more I think it's possible. You don't have to be very good on offense if you are really good on defense...

dwidep (Knoxville)

If you were Bud would you pony up the $$ to resign Albert or let him leave and hope to replace him? Also, didnt Dilfer beat the team led by Collins?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

Scan down for Albert answer. Don't get your point about Collins. It wasn't like Dilfer and Collins one on one. Collins got killed by a phenominal defense, like a lot of QBs that year including Gannon and McNair ...

Dan (Nutley, NJ)

I know it's far away, but could you see the Titans drafting a QB? Are they committed to going back to Young in the future?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

We don't know. They don't know, I don't think. They could draft one. I don't think super high...

JB (TX)

Speaking of coaches, where would you put your money on Bill Cowher resurfacing?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Cleveland would have to be tempting to him if it opens and is offered...

Alison, Denver, CO

Whats your take on L. Tomlinson? I was offered LT in a trade in my fantasy league but am skeptical as it seems he is declining. Any advice? My other RB's are Jamal Lewis, Thomas Jones, Ricky Williams, Rudi Johnson, and Cedric Benson...as you can see, no viable #1 RB.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

I like his chances of having some big games. But he may not be as strong week to week as in the past...

pat (Haskell NJ)

any titans on the roster right now not getting to much playing time that you could see stepping up and making big plays?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

Noen jump to mind. Crumpler?

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Schaub and Johnson put up huge numbers in the MIA game. Why doesn't that equate to more decisive wins? Turnovers?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

Yes. Turnovers killed them. They can also play better defense...

Joey (Rochester, New York)

Bill Cowher going to the Browns is like a half a dozen players going from the Yankees to the Red Sox & vise versa. It ruins the rivalry. The loyalty is gone. However, Cowher was a coach for the Browns under Schottenheimer.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

And played for them...

Mike (SF, CA)

Paul, are you going to end this chat if people keep asking about Fat Albert? Seriously though, how do you think Gregg Williams has affected the Jag's D? Is this a learning process or a personnel issue?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

Little of both. They just don't have people who can rush consistently. Then they got dinged in the secondary.

Josh (Lebanon TN)

Paul, I wish the Titans would have pulled the trigger on a big name WR, I know that they don't like to spend big money, and they still wind up in the hunt every year, but one day won't this bite us in the butt, no matter what position it is. Is it Adams or do we get GM's with tight wallets?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:38 PM)

I don't understand this. They aren't going to get a big name there. It's not how they work or what they believe in...

Mad Mike (Houston)

Paul: Although I am not a fan of the Titans, i do agree they are overlooked or underrated often. But, when they lose Albert during the offseason, will we see a similar effect we usually see when Sanders is off the field for the Colts. The few games Albert missed last year the Titans were a whole different defense. What happens to the Titans without Albert and an average at best offense? Thanks........MM

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

It will be a huge loss. I think they'll find out they underestimated his meaning...

doug

Was pumped when I heard the McCargo trade and now he failed his physical. Unreal, where do the colts get another DT body?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

They don't. Or they could still get McCargo for free if the Bills don't want him.

ant jacksonvile fl

What is it going to take for the ravens to realize to win you need a QB?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

Give Flacco time. I think he will be good. Way better than Boller...

Jonathan ( Austin, Tx)

just saw your love/hate list. I didn't see anyone from denver?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

My love hate list?

Frank (Pell Lake, WI)

I was getting used to bragging last year that the Titans played in the best division in football. What are your thoughts as to why the AFC South has stumbled a bit so far this season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:43 PM)

Manning's knee surgery, Houston's poor play, Jacksonville's injuries...

Adam (Washington, DC)

Putting on your prognosticator goggles, what's your best guess for the final records for the division teams?

Aaron (Nashville)

Paul, I understand your reasoning why the Titans won't re-sign Fat Albert. But doesn't the recent extensions for Gage, Finnegan, Roos and Stewart at least hint at the fact they're willing to pay those who've performed? It's not like they're going to go splurge on some big WR, so why not a core guy like Albert? Do you think there is still a fear of locking up so much money on a guy that could get content and lazy with all that guaranteed cash? Thanks

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

None of those guys are close to the financial ballpark AH will be in...

JB (TX)

Any chance of Roos or Big Country going to the Pro Bowl, or are there too many "names" ahead of them?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

I think they'll both have a shot...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

Is Drew Brees the best acquisition ever through free agency?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

Reggie White is. But Brees is top five I am thinking, without drawing up a list...

pat (Haskell NJ)

how do you see the afc south shaping up at the end of the year

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

I'm avoiding the question because I don't know. I think it'll be Titans-Colts-Jags-Texans...

Paul (St Louis Park, MN)

Hey Paul- Do you get any sense of what the Titans are going to do with Vince Young in the next few weeks and into next season? I hope they get him fired up because I see a lot of potential and they have a huge investment in him.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

Their hope is that Kerry plays well and Vince sits the bench. Maybe they roll him out for something special to give people headaches and make teams prepare...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

Plax could be a top five or top 10 guy. The success story for FA WRs...

Jonathan ( Austin, Tx)

Sorry paul. Bouncing Between you and Roto. What are the Texans going to due come Dec. Will The roof be fixed? Then again it is Texas, it's like 85 in Dec.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

Roof is open for remainder of the season...

pat (Haskell NJ)

did you hear anything about trick plays tennessees been working up with vy on the field with kerry or some trick play with cj?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

They don't generally share detail of surprises. Just like your wife wouldn't spill details of your surprise BD party...

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Has Sage Rosenfels' stock dropped since the meltdown against the Colts. He could start on a lot of other teams.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

They still have one of the best backup situations in the league, I think. He had an awful five minutes....

James (Nashville, TN)

Would you say the weakest aspect of the Titans D is Middle Linebacker? If so, what do you think the Titans would do to solidify that position?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

I don't think they are unhappy with MLB. And it's a situational position they don't put too much of a premium on. The nickel back plays as much or more in certain games...

Adam (Washington, DC)

I was about to post as a NJ resident just to get a response from you. I went to the Ravens-Titans game two weeks ago and was blown away by the stadium experience in Baltimore. What's your favorite venue for seeing a game? (Also, don't include the quality of food in the pressbox, since I can't have any.)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Arrowhead is great. Lambeau is great, I am there this weekend. Baltimore is very good...

Jason Chicago

Who are the probowlers from Tennesee Griffin? Finnegan? Haynesworth? Roos?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

They've played 5/16th of their schedule. It's way too arly to be naming Pro Bowlers. I don't like that fan voting started already....

pat (Haskell NJ)

which rookie do you think has played the best in the AFC south

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

Slaton and Johnson...

Jason (Buffalo)

The Bills, Browns, Packers & Bears have huge homefield advantages in December. Why would the Lions & Vikings give up that homefield advantage by playing in a dome? They both haven't won anything since they moved indoors! For the Lions it's too late as they have there new stadium. But the Vikings? Back outside & they'll win! Football was meant to be played outside in the cold!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

Fans like to watch a game with a beer in hand rather than a hot chocolate. Easier for a bad team to sell tickets to an indoor venue, I think...

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Manning / Harrison looked a lot better this week than they did against Houston. You think the Colts are starting to click?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

I do. They were still a little off on some stuff. Clearly Peyton is feeling better and better...

pat (Haskell NJ)

do you think the titans Defensive backfield is one of the best ball hawking defensive backfields ever if not the best

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:55 PM)

No. They are good. Not everythig that is really good right now qualifies as the best ever. We're way to quick to say stuff like that...

jason BROWNS QUESTION

i noticed you called the browns soft, guess your not a believer in there win against the giants (there starting to get healthy). when they beat the skins sunday will you change your tune.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:56 PM)

I don't recall calling them soft. That was a good win. It doesn't wash away them being pitiful up til then. They are nowhere near as good as their hype. Next year they'll have a soft schedule and be far better...

Benjamin Plattsburgh

Amobi has been playing better since relegated to pass rushing situations.... people think hes a bust I say hes young..... the texans tried to rush him and it hurt his development.... let him play in a medium sized role he is comfortable with until hes older

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

Sometimes less can be more...

pat (Haskell NJ)

down the road 2 or 3 years do you see vy as the titans starting qb

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

I don't...

Sunny (CA)

The way the Colts have been playing as of late, they seem to be back to their winning ways and the Jags look like they have overcome their injuries and are on a run. This being said, do you think the Titans can win the division?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

Yes. I think they will continue to play well and it will be hard for someone to catch or pass them. But the division may not be settled until Week 17...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

I agree with you about people exaggerating modern accomplishments, I frequently peruse wikipedia and I love this policy of theirs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Recentism

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

I never look at Wikipedia, sorry. People can make up whatever they want on there, and have really hurt some individuals by allowing complee BS to be posted about them...

Scott (CT)

Speaking of stadium atmospheres, SI.com rated LP Field as the 2nd best stadium in terms of atmosphere outside of Lambeau. What are your thoughts?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:00 PM)

I've been meaning to go look at that. Second overall? I think that's way high. It's a fun atmosphere. But it's not KC/ Pittsburgh/ Cleveland...

Jonathan (Louisville, KY)

Paul- What's this "code blue" thing I keep hearing about for the MNF Titans/Colts game? I've seen rumors, but nothing concrete.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:01 PM)

Code Blue is a big secret still. I sure hope they aren't going to have everyone dressed in dark blue, which is also a Colts color...

jason BROWNS QUESTION

FYI from earlier "James (Mill Valley, California): What is it going to take for the 3-3 Jags to chase down the 5-0 Titans? Paul Kuharsky: (3:02 PM ET ) For starters, the Jags can't lose to any of these soft teams -- Cleveland, Cincy, Detroit. If they're 6-3 in a month, they've still got a chance. I don't think they can win the division, but I do think they can get a wild card...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:02 PM)

By soft, I didn't mean not physical. By soft I meant very beatable. I know you are a fan, but do you think the Browns are intimidating right now? No one is looking at them and saying, "We can't beat those guys..."

Scott (CT)

Paul, is Mike Keith the best team play-by-play guy in the NFL? every week they play clips of other announcers and they're cheering, clapping their hands, it's sickening. Wycheck and Keith are one of the few professional teams out there.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

I love Mike. But like many in his job he gets pretty excited about good stuff for his team...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

You should blame your inability to remember calling the Browns soft on the media

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

I blame the media. They twisted my words and took things out of context. They are out to get me...

Matt

How much do you know about Chad Simpson, one of the backups for Rhodes now? I know a lot of people felt like he was a keeper but he's been on the practice squad. Dungy seems to like him but then again he likes everyone.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

I think he's a guy they feel they can plug in when they need and get production out of...

BJ (California)

I know it's a small market, but don;t you find it ridiculous how much the Jags are skipped over on ESPN, and other NFL shows? Is it anything other than being in a small market? We even have our national star now in MJD...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

I don't generally chart the shows. If there are millions more Giants fans, say, I can understand leaning a little more their way. But what makes the NFL great is that any team can be good, and when a team is good it deserves some pub. The Titans are getting theirs now. The Jags are only 3-3, what should people be raving about? Jerry Porter's big contributions?

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Paul pls let BJ know it's just as painful to be a Texans fan - no love outside the city.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:08 PM)

They are 1-4. What should the national media be trumpeting? "The Texans, still fumbling the ball away despite emphasizing ball security for a year?"

Chris (NJ)

Is it time to fire Mike Nolan. They keep signing FA for him and he doesnt improve the team. He has to go.

The tarps (over the seats in Jacksonville)

BJ, it's because of us. Make people start buying tickets so they can take us off and maybe the rest of the country might pay more attention to the team.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

If the tarps are off, Jacksonville has over 10,000 more seats than Soldier Field. Reasonable to expect the Jags to outdraw the Bears?

Brett (Indianapolis)

Paul with the sudden loss of Mike Hart and Joe Addai's multiple week injury, any chance the Colts will try to pick up a vet RB not getting reps or not playing with anyone?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

They just added two yesterday, both with history with them...

jason BROWNS QUESTION

i think the feeling around the leauge is that they have a lot of talent and are starting to get healthy. starting off witht the cowboys, steelers, ravens, giants doens't help either.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

They have to play who they are scheduled to play...

Guy (Round Rock, TX)

Speaking of the booth - why is it every year MNF gets some clown in there. Kornheiser is okay on PTI but terrible in the booth. I watch MNF with the sound way down to avoid his ramblings.
