Chat with Paul Kuharsky

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

Greetings chatters. Missed you the last few weeks. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and are way ahead on your shopping...

Jesse in Nashville

Chat time! Hey PK.. which game you at this week?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

I'm at Titans-Browns. Not many gems in the division this weekend. Not many gems in division the rest of the way...

Kevin (Houston)

Did the showing on MNF help the Texans have a chance at getting more primetime oppourtunities in the future?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

It certainly didn't hurt. But it's not so much about how you do when you are on as how they expect you are going to be when they put the scheduled together...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

PK, long time no see amigo. What happened to VY, develop an allergic reaction to the ball after not turning it over for a whole 9 minutes? Anyway, is he out for Sunday? There's a decent chance there's scrap time available, would be nice for him to get a rep or two

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

I can't imagine it would keep him out Sunday. But I am surprised at how many people think handing the ball off in the fourth quarter is super-valuable for a guy who's actually played before...

Mike in Indy

So even if the Titans and Colts both finish the AFC South Champs will be the Titans? What would be the tie breaker?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

They can't both finish champs, one wins on tiebreaker. And if Titans win Sunday, they win the division. If Titans beat Browns and Colts win out and they tie -- head to head and division record would be ties and Titans would win on results against common opponents, which is the third breaker....

Chris in Tampa, FL

I am a Jaguars fan, and I have to ask why you put so much blame on David Garrard when the whole team is awful. How can he perform with an awful offensive line and bad receivers? Did you not see the Texans game ealier in the year where he won the game himself?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

When a QB is paid $60 million, in times of trouble he has to be able to lift his team sometimes, not have people look around and talk about how bad things are around him. Big Ben had some terrible o-line play early this year. At times, he played well anyway. Certainly Garrard is not problem No. 1. But he's not been part of the answer either, in my eyes...

phil(mn)

how come no one talks about matt jones getting off so easy, when all these other guys get four games?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

His hearing is today. We'll find out how easy he gets off. A delay isn't the same as no punishment...

Steve (Syracuse, NY)

Paul- that Titans/Indy game week 17 could be a good one once again, could keep indy out of the playoffs...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

I think the Titans will have sewn up homefield and the Colts will have sewn up the No. 5 slot and it's actually not going to mean anything...

jeremy va ( one last shot)

what happened to my saints man :(

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

Brutal. Starts on defense...

Joey (Rochester, New York)

Hey Paul, I have an odd question that's kinda late. But Art Modell moves the Browns cause Cleveland won't build a new stadium. Then Cleveland gets a new stadium & team. Then Bud Adams moves the Oilers cause Houston won't build them a new stadium. Then Houston gets a new stadium & team. My question is why didn't these cities just build new stadiums to begin with?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

Because those two owners had terrible relationships with their cities governments at the time. Pretty much all that happened because of personality conflicts...

Steve (Syracuse, NY)

Paul- if you think the Titans have sewn up everything, and seeing vince DID get on the field on thanksgiving...does vince start week 17?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

No. They can't flip on and off switches. They have to keep momentum going into the playoffs...

JB (TX)

As far as the Jags go, losing Marcus Stroud seems to be the biggest deal. Also, blowing money on Jerry Porter and Troy Williamson wasn't all that smart. Did Williamson fight Brad Childress like he promised?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

They didn't lose him, they TRADED him. Way worse. I wasn't there but heard of no fight...

JB (TX)

PK, missed you with Marc & Andre this morning, your interview started after I got to work...just to clarify, even though Adam Jones is reinstated the Titans draft pick is still lost. Am I correct on that?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

Yes. The conditions were about getting suspended again...

Bart (Milligan College, TN)

Hey Paul. Missed the chat lately. What do you think are the Titans' chances at the AFC 1 seed?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:15 PM)

I can't see them not getting it. They could lose to the Steelers and will still get it. Dallas-Pitt game is big for the Titans...

Matt

Was I the only one who noticed Monday night that Del Rio looked like the last place he wanted to be was on the sideline there? I'm not accusing the guy of anything, but he just looked like he would rather be elsewhere than around that team

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:15 PM)

Just trying to be one of the guys maybe...?

Dwayne (Hagerstown, MD)

How many games do you think Miami would have won WITHOUT Chad Pennington and what shot do they have of winning the AFC EAST? thanks!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

More than you think, I bet. But he's been great. I think Miami fans are going to have to settle for dramatic improvement without a playoff spot...

Jesse in Nashville

PK - several other teams (Lions, etc) I'm sure would love a crack at prying VY away from the Titans. I know you've said that will never happen. Id that still your position?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

Salary cap implications of trading VY this offseason are unbearable, I think. That doesn't mean he's in Nashville for sure, though. If he wanted to quit on a winning team, imagine how dedicated he would be in Detroit...

Chris in Tampa, FL

Yea and Big Ben has a much better defense and more reliable receivers then David Garrard. How is he suppose to lift his team when the receivers drop the ball? And you said that Big Ben played well "at times", has Garrard not played well "at times" this year. I am just trying to find some positives in my awful season. I know Garrard is not like he was last year, but I still think he has the physical tools to be great. He just needs the WRs and O-line. Thank you for your time and thank you for keeping up with the AFC South and especially the Jags.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

Collins' receivers drop the ball. He's won a couple games for the Titans this year. No, Garrard doesn't have a good supporting cast. Yes, he still gets a share of the blame...

Jimbo Nashville

PK,last week was it the Colts poor offense or good Cleveland defense?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:20 PM)

Both. I wouldn't worry about it, showed off the Colts' ability to find a way...

Chief (Nashville, TN)

Does Cleveland play a one or two gap technique in their 3-4 defense?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:20 PM)

CHIEF: "Gap Talk with Mark Howard" is at 1045thezone.com...

no one from no where

Are they showing the collier interview on sportscenter or OTL or anywhere on tv?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

There is a link to it on my blog page...

Jesse in Nashville

Ken Dorsey doesnt strike fear in the hearts of many. Do the Bownies have a chance this week at all?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

If they play defense like last week they could be in it. I'm feeling the potential for 16-6 or something like that..

Ryan (Denver)

Will Haynesworth be back with the Titans next year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

I think once he's close to free agency, he'd have to wait and have a look and then someone will blow him away. Others believe a deal will get done. It's their biggest question...

Steiny (NYC)

Is Jack Del Rio a better coach than Gary Kubiak?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

I don't believe so. Kubiak is an offensive guy with an offense that can move the ball and score (though turnovers are a major issue). Del Rio is a defensive guy with a very average to bad defense...

Steiny (NYC)

Are the Texans a better team than the Jaguars?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

No. Top five probably...

Steiny (NYC)

Will Steve Slaton ever be an elite running back in the NFL?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

Looked elite to me on Monday. Certainly good enough for them to key their running game around for a couple years...

Mike (Iowa)

They've been talk about the Jaguars moving ever since they got the franchise. Why even bother giving Jacksonville a team then?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:26 PM)

There wasn't talk about them moving right when it was awarded. Tags saw Jacksonville as a market like Nashville, but it hasn't panned out that way...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

Spur of the moment rule: If you post the same question three times, it goes unanswered...

Anthony, Nashville

I think one of the more disappointments this year has been Greg Williams as a DC in Jacksonville. Is some of the blame on him or the cards he was dealt with?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

Part him, part players, part JDR. There won't be a second year. I wonder about him in Houston...

Matt (Houston)

Would Houston be better off trading out of the 1st round every year? Aside from Mario, they haven't drafted a single above average player. Yet, they are very good after the 1st -- Ryans, Winston, Slaton, Daniels, Bennett, etc.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

Nobody wants to trade into the top 15. Too expensive...

Gary Brackett

um.. my leg is broken. Keyunta and Saturday are out and wait for it.... ... Bob Sanders is hurt. How long can we "find a way to win" with a duct-taped team?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

Based on Cincy, Detroit and Jax, I'm guessing three more weeks...

Biff, Nashville

Is Bryan Pride a free agent after this season? Isn't his quick weight gain a little suspicious? Are there any StarTabs laying around his locker room?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

The Titans say he's just a workout warrior and a beast at traininig table. He just goes rolling in there and takes over...

Tony (Brooklyn, NY)

How do they feel about the Giants in Tennessee? Thanks!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

I think they'd love a chance to play them in the Super Bowl. But based on recent seasons, one of them doesn't make it. One of the favorites seems to get picked off annually...

Steve in Upland

Hey Paul, I was trying to convince a friend that Indy's "win ugly ability" against verying levels of competition is not a bad sign. I remember the seasons when we stomped teams 42 - 17 and then would get clobbered by the Pats in the playoffs. What do you think of their "win ugly ability and how it fits with this year's impending playoffs?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

I think it makes them more dangerous in the playoffs. If things don't go well, they'll have a lot of good experience to lean on. If they get healthy, I think they are very dangerous in the playoffs...

Jeff (FL)

How good would Percy Harvin look in a Titans uni? He would bring an element they've been lacking for years.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

Have you not seen Chris Johnson??

Ryan (Denver)

It's shaping up that the Colts will most likely have a wildcard match-up with the Broncos for the 3rd time in 5 years. This time it will be in Denver, who do you see winning that game when and if it happens?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Colts. Denver is horrible...

Todd (Tennessee)

What do you think of Quinton Ganther? I think he could be a dangerous change of pace back for a team lacking the Titans depth.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

He'd do OK in Denver. Hard worker with some skills, but nothing to get too excited about, I don't think...

Tim Sacramento, Ca

How much stock do you put in a GM and Owner saying they'll keep a coach next year even if his record is 4-8 and his team was in the AFC championship game last year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Depends on which GM and owner?

Jesse in Nashville

Chris Johnson is 42 yard from the 1,000 mark already this season putting him in an elite class of rookies. Is he the next Earl Campbell?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

Chris Johnson is a little quick guy who runs around and by people. Earl was a bruiser who ran through people...

JB (TX)

That Bryan Pride thing has "Mayne Event" written all over it, make sure you get a royalty check for breaking the story when it happens.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

I'm going to count on you to police it for me?!?

Chris from Tampa

So if they are so many problems with coaching and players, how do the Jaguars improve in your opinion?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

I think they have to do a major roster overhaul and they can't go oh-for-free agency like they did this year....

Ryan (Denver)

I can see why you say the Colts would win but I don't think Denver is "Horrible", Pretty impressive road victories this year and the Colts couldn't score against a terrible Browns team. What gives?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

I saw Denver get rolled by Jacksonville. The Broncs have lost to KC and Oakland. Outside of the Mountain time zone, most people don't see Denver as a threat to win a playoff game...

Tim Sacramento, Ca

I'm talking about San Diego with regard to how much stock do you put in a GM and Owner saying they'll keep a coach next year even if his record is 4-8 and his team was in the AFC championship game last year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

I can't see how they don't make a change...

Brian (Williamsburg, VA)

Hey Paul, from your experience in Nashville and what you know about Fisher/the Titans organization what do you think they'll do if they wrap up homefield before the Pittsburgh game week 16? How will they approach Pittsburgh and Indy, will they play them at full strength to get a view of what they might be facing in the playoffs or will they try to avoid injury? Also, any chance we play full force against Indy in order to keep them out of the playoffs if it comes to that or is there some professional courtesy since Dungy let us in last year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

I think if you try to avoid injury, you get injured. I think they will play out the season, maybe pulling starters in the fourth of a game that doesn't matter. I think if the Titans have a chance to keep the Colts out of the playoffs, it would be to their advantage to try to do so and that they would try. But I said earlier, I think Indy will lock up No. 5 before that game...

Jeff (St. Louis)

How has Jake Scott been in TN? I know they made the right decision not re-signing Jacob Bell. He has been bad for the Rams.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

Pretty good. More physical than Bell...

Terry (IN)

Who's this Melvin Bullit kid? He would be starting for half the teams. He may be Bethea's replacement in 2010.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:43 PM)

He's very good. Another example of Polian's ability to find guys...

Scott (Jacksonville)

Any chance the Jags cut Florence after one season? He didn't get a big signing bonus, so they shouldn't have to absorb too much dead money.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:43 PM)

I believe he has a $2.5 M roster bonus in 2009. I wouldn't pay it...

Collin (TN)

Do you believe that Mawae's play has slipped as the season has progressed, just as it did last year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

Seems like some, yeah. But also he saw Jenkins and will now see Rogers....

John (Austin)

Didn't you pick the Saints to go to the Super Bowl? Do you feel stupid for making that pick?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

Wasn't a great pick, obviously. It's not easy to call the Super Bowl in July. Who'd you pick?

Joey (Rochester, New York)

As you know I don't take much stock in fan voting for the Pro Bowl, but in your opinion has Eugene Amano, Kevin Mawue & Jake Scott earned there Pro Bowl Votes so far and why hasn't Michael Roos & David "Big Country" Stewart gotten more attention?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

There are more good tackles with known names, that hurts Roos and Stewart. Amano isn't close to being the second best guard in the AFC. See Bryan Pride blog entry today for a bit of the back story on that...

Collin (TN)

Will McGinnis become DC when Schwartz leaves? Or would Fisher prefer to bring Greg Williams back when the Jags let him go?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

I'd be very surprised if it's not McGinnis...

Matt (Houston)

Props to Polian and the Colts. Houston has been looking for an above average safety for 7 years. The Colts get Bethea late and Bullitt after the draft. That's embarrassing.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

Excellent point...

Stewart (PN)

Can you please direct me to a site that shows the pro-bowl votes leaders?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

No site I know about. There is a link to a spreadsheet in my blog post that mentions Haynesworth in the headline...

Dave (Canada)

Knowing what we know now which USC back would be the better draft pick: Lendale or Reggie?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

Depends on what you need. I think Reggie if you use him the right way...

Jesse in Nashville

Cortland Finnegan and Nick Harper both missed practice this week... any word on these guys? Tyrone Poole.. what?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

Too early to worry. Also, if Braylon Edwards is undefended, it's 50-50 he drops it and 50-50 Dorsey gets it there...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

What's B. Jones' contract status, also, do you see McCareins returning next year after his maddening inconsistency?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

Brandon Jones is set to be unrestricted. McCareins is a good blocker but I'm with you, I think they HAVE to upgrade that spot...

Collin (TN)

How do believe Titans players responded to Lendale White saying, "I don't know what three plays is helping me do?" as he put in his studs?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

Old news already...

Jeff (OR)

Why is the pro-bowl process so secretive? You would think the votes leaders would be readily available at nfl.com. as well as who the players and coaches pick.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

The NFL can put out weekly info on the slow day of the week -- Tuesday -- and milk the process to get pub, so why not?

Ken Dorsey's Mom

That's not very nice of you, Paul!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

Sorry Mrs. Dorsey. I am glad Mrs. Edwards isn't here...

Ryan (Denver)

Any chances an all Manning Super Bowl? If so, who wins?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

I'd take Eli in that matchup...

Todd (Tennessee)

I've always wondered why it is so hard to track the pro-bowl process. Fans vote for 3 month, but there is no way to see the leaders. You would think the league would make that data more accessible.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

I have plenty of complaints about it, but No. 1 is that fan voting starts way too early...

JP (Pittsburgh)

So, us Steeler fans in the know have figured out that the Steelers and Titans are the only Super Bowl worthy AFC teams. That said, does either team hold back when they meet, as they'll likely see each other again?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

Good question. From my viewpoint, it's a big game toward determining homefield and you can't hold back thinking ahead to a game that you don't even know is going to happen...

Collin (TN)

Teammates' responses to White inside the locker room is not old news. They're not going to say anything public about his overt selfishness. The Detroit game changes nothing. In a close game, CJ gets all the carries and LW knows it. But next time he complains, he will make it seem like it's less about him.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

They didn't like it, obviously...

$Robby$,Indianapolis

Hey PK...id like to ask do you think the The Big Blue (Colts) have any chance of going deep into the playoffs this year? It sure seems like were constantly getting worn down w/ all of our injuries. Always seems like someone new is getting injured just about every game...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

Said earlier I thikn they are dangerous, especially if they get healthy. Get Sanders, Saturday, Brackett and Dawson in there and if you can't play the usual style, you can rely on the find-a-way-to-win stuff that's worked so nicely for you...

LJF (Washington, DC)

Why do Steelers fans so easily forget that the Colts beat them on their home field?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:55 PM)

Because they are a game better and will win their division while the Colts can't...

Dustin (Mpls.)

I missed this LenDale White comment, Where is this article?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:56 PM)

He said it after the Jets game. Look for an AFC South blog entry from 11/23...

Collin (TN)

Do you believe Bulluck gets a new contract? Tulloch appears to be ready to move outside, and Bulluck has never seemed confident in the front office to ante-up (and he has plenty of reasons to feel that way).

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

Ready to move outside so they can get Fowler back out there? I don't know that KB will get a new deal this offseason if he's signed through 09 as I think he is...

Liam (Houston)

Could anyone from the AFC knock of the Giants?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

Titans, Steelers and Colts could beat Giants. Not saying they would, saying they could...

ryan ( boston)

hey paul, is Xplosive going to stop by your chat like he did bill williamsons? that was great, it was like a obmama comming in. any how you think the Texans are comming of age?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

Too slowly. I expect a dud in Green Bay...

Hogman (Fayetteville, AR)

Who do you see as rookie of the year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

Ryan...

Todd (Tennessee)

How recent is the blog about Haynesworth with the pro-bowl link. I'm not seeing the headline on your blog page.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

Tuesday... Send something to my mailbag is you can't find it and I'll forward link...

Grammar Police (This chat)

The excessive periods after every answer is maddening!

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:00 PM)

That's my thing... Sorry... Here are some extras: ... ...

Pudge Heffelfinger (Canton)

Should the Pro-Bowl be awarded by scouts and coaches only. Fans are retarded and players don't know who is good at NT.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:01 PM)

Only O-linemen vote for NT, at least that's how the Titans do it. The structure of the player voting is actually not bad. I am anti-fan voting. Makes that third a popularity contest. But at least players and coaches can offset bad choices..

Dave (Canada)

Do you think Houston had the talent to win 10 games this year? If so, do you think that the hurricane putting them on the road for the first month really hurt their season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

I'm unsure how losing earlier to Baltimore at Reliant would have altered their season. They don't have the talent to win 10 games in that division. Not close on defense...

What?

Steelers a favorite over the Colts? Didn't Indy go TO Pittsburgh and beat them?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

Yes. Does one result determine all results thereafter?

Rick-Lowell, MA

Do the Pats get into the playoffs? I think they'll win out, but they need Balti to lose 2, I believe...or the Jets will have to drop 2. Does it happen?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

Tough call. I think the Jets hold on and win the division. So NE has to catch Balt. Not impossible...

Jason - Virginia

Do you think the Steelers can overtake the Titans as the class of the AFC?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

Steelers could win in Nashville. I'd still expect Titans 1 and Steelers 2 as the top seeds in the AFC playoffs...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

When was the last time 2 rookie QBs had their team in the thick of the playoff hunt this late in the season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:06 PM)

A very good question... for your loyal AFC North or NFC South bloggers to answer...!

Cameron (Tennesee)

Speaking of Fowler, what ever happened with him being implicated for steroid use? Did the NFL just decide not to suspend after all?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

I don't think they just decided not to suspend him. I think they didn't have the evidence that was initially presumed. They really killed him with that, tainting his name. He should get an apology...

Tom Brady (boston)

hi, will my team make the plaoffs this year and what do you think about Rosie Colvin? Can he help our D??

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:08 PM)

He couldn't make the Texans. So of course after sitting out all season he'll have three sacks for New England on Sunday...

Jay - Pittsburgh

What are the chances that the Steelers will be the AFC champs and win become super bowl champs?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:08 PM)

I give the Titans the edge but expect it will be one or the other...

Collin (TN)

How has Dunta Robinson played since returning? Has he made Reeves look better? Or is Reeves getting thrown at more?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

Robinson looked OK to me Monday night. I'd certainly prefer to throw elsewhere given the choices...

Ryan (Denver)

Reality: Impressive games won by the Titans, maybe 3, they're terribly overrated Titan fans

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:10 PM)

This from a guy who thinks Denver is good! And whose team has lost to Jacksonville, Oakland and KC! Funniest post of the session...

Cameron (Tennessee)

Do you think Collins will come back if he's not promised the starting job and its an open camp battle? VY's salary goes way up in 2010 I believe so would the Titans want to keep him as a backup next year and then have to pay him all that money in 2010 not really knowing what they have?

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

Is the Roy Williams trade going to be the going rate to get a top-flight WR in a trade (eg Anquan Boldin), or did the Cowboys offer way too much and a team could get away with giving less?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:11 PM)

I can't see anyone giving up as much as Dallas gave up. But that doesn't mean he gets moved for less...

JB (TX)

Raiders botched FG last week: worst NFL play ever?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:15 PM)

Dumb call executed about as poorly as possible...

Kerry Collins (TN) (really Ryan from Denver)

I'm the QB that's going to lead you to the super bowl and win!!! come on Paul be serious, yeah Denver has been inconsistant but Titans will drowned in the playoffs

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:16 PM)

I don't paint Collins to be Elway. But both the Titans and Collins have been to the Super Bowl more recently than the Broncos, no?

ray gordon reid bristol conn o6620

MY COMMENT TO PAUL KUHARSKY. HI PAUL TEXANS DEFENSE ONE STUD DEFENSIVE END AWAY FROM BEING VERY GOOD

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:17 PM)

No, they need a lot more than that. A safety (or two) and a corner...

JL (Hoboken, NJ)

Was the Raiders FG a worse play than the Jags snapping it under center when Garrard was in shotgun? Also the Orlovsky running out of the end zone play comes to mind...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:17 PM)

Orlovsky wins that one. Pitiful...

LaRon Landry (DC)

Since the Titans couldn't have me: Reggie Nelson or Michael Griffin in our draft?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:18 PM)

Tough to compare because Griffin is in such a better situation. I'd say Griffin right now...

Bud (Nashville)

Do the Titans believe that Brown, Jones, and Vickerson can be an above average DT rotation without Big Al?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:18 PM)

I can't imagine they wouldn't see dropoff...

Roger Goodell (The Commish)

Even I can admit Denver stinks. In any case, Paul, you aren't wearing sweat pants while doing this chat are you? I don't want anyone to get hurt.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:19 PM)

No sweats. Thanks for asking...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:19 PM)

Been fun folks, thanks for coming by. Hope to see you next week. Tell your friends...

Michael Griffin

Why is Ed Reed going to the ProBowl and not me?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:20 PM)

Don't jump the gun. Reed hasn't even won the popular vote yet and that's only a third...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:20 PM)

Enjoy the games everyone...
