Craig Haubert

Welcome Everyone!!

Craig Haubert
  (3:03 PM)

National Signing Day (NSD) is almost here - Boy how time flies. Lots happening -- we just updated our team rankings one last time before Wed. and plenty of good players still out there.

Craig Haubert
  (3:04 PM)

Real quick ESPN.com and ESPNU has it all for you on NSD - top players will be joining us to chat and we have 10 players announcing on air on WED on our NSD show on ESPNU from 10AM EST to 7PM EST so please join us.

Craig Haubert
  (3:04 PM)

Lets get going

Bradford (Boise, ID)

Craig, What are the Noles chances of landing Debose and/or Reid?

Craig Haubert
  (3:06 PM)

I think Debose sticks with UF - but things look real good with Reid -- never really sure with him, but i think the Noles may be the team to beat for the talented CB

Nick (Greenwich, CT)

Hey Craig! Do you see any Connecticut prospects making a splash in College football for the years to come?

Craig Haubert
  (3:07 PM)

The guy to watch out of that state is QB Jordan Reed - going to Florida - needs work but very talented. Won't make an immediate spalsh but could down the road.

Dave (Jackson, MI)

How do you anticipate Michigan finishing up it's class?

Craig Haubert
  (3:09 PM)

I think things look good for Michigan. I think they get QB/ATH Denard Robinson (and his teammate) and that is huge - they need another QB in addition to Forcier that can run that offense. That would be a big get on NSD for that offense and its future and i think they get him.

Craig Haubert
  (3:10 PM)

I also think they have a real solid shot w/ OG Quinton Washington -

Lindsey(Virginia Beach,VA)

What are the chances that WVU gets into the Top 25 recruiting?

Craig Haubert
  (3:12 PM)

I think it will be tough. They have flown under the radar with their recruiting but have done a good job. They just missed the cut for our latest team rankings, but got serious consideration. I just don't think they can do enough by Wed night to make that final push into the top 25 though

Bradford (Boise, ID)

Craig, which of the big USC recruits sign on NSD? And which decide to sign at other schools?

Craig Haubert
  (3:13 PM)

I really think they get Te'o and I am feeling that they also get G Su'a Filo

Steiny (NYC)

Hey Craig, how are you doing today?

Craig Haubert
  (3:14 PM)

Who says New Yorkers are not nice -- I am doing great Steiny - thanks for asking!

Matt McCloud ( Murfreesboro, TN )

Where do you see Tenn. class finishing?

Craig Haubert
  (3:15 PM)

I could see the Vols (currently at #16) pushing into the top 15 - I think they land MArlon Brown - and could very well land S/CB Darren Myles JR - and those two would be a big boost to that class.

Nick (Pittsburgh)

I have been hearing pitt has a decent but not the best wannstedt recruiting class and that it just helps some of our needs. Is there any players we have a shot at to possibly boost into the top 25?

Craig Haubert
  (3:17 PM)

Solid class by Pitt, but this will be the first Wannstedt class that misses the top 25 - I don't see them doing enough to make that kind of needed jump.

Kevin (Tempe, AZ)

Do you see Vontaze Burfict in an ASU jersey next year?

Craig Haubert
  (3:19 PM)

I know that seems to be the popular thought right now, but i think he stays in Troy.

CAN ALABAMA GET IN THE TOP 3 WITH THE FEW THERE WAITING FOR?

Craig Haubert
  (3:20 PM)

Bama is the team to watch on NSD - they currently sit outside the top 5, but have some "big dogs" still on their board. I could see them if things break right jumping into the top 5 and maybe even into the top 3. They are a team to keep an eye on Wed.

Elijah (New Iberia,LA):

How can LSU hold on to the top spot on NSD?

Craig Haubert
  (3:24 PM)

It will be tough, but if they can land Rueben Randle (which i think they will) that will help and also getting Barkecious Mingo would be good as well landing Myles Jr. and maybe even DE Sam Montgomery. Randle is a key, but some other guys like those mentioned could help to secure a No. 1 spot if LSU can land them.

TRex (seattle)

Am wondering what you that of Sarkisian's first UW class ... any hope for us Dawg fans at all?

Craig Haubert
  (3:27 PM)

It will not be great -- That new staff is good, but they have their work cut out for them. Not easy to sell a winless team to recruits who are to young to remember the winning days of the Don James era. There is always hope TRex, but expect a bump road at least in the beginning.

David (Charlotte)

How do you like what Butch Davis and co. are doing in Chapel Hill? Can they pull in any of the big boys they are waiting on?

Craig Haubert
  (3:28 PM)

They are building one of the most scary Defensive Lines as far as talent goes that i have ever seen. If they can add DE Montgomery (which it looks like they may) that will be huge. Currently they sit at No. 11

Mark (Binghamton)

Has Buffalo's dream season seemed to affect their recruiting this year?

Craig Haubert
  (3:31 PM)

Gotta take a Bulls question and the answer is not really. Winning helps, but one season does not open up the flood gates for talent. They need to keep winning, but the more they do the easier it will be for them to get more higher profile recruits.

Jake (South Bend)

Will the Irish finish big?

Craig Haubert
  (3:32 PM)

I thought they were a lock for Byron Moore, but as NSD draws closer not so sure anymore. I think they miss on Jelani Jenkins.

Damon (Kyle Tx)

Any major sleepers in this class that some non-traditional powerhouses picked up?

Craig Haubert
  (3:34 PM)

Ole Miss just landed a sleeper at TE in "Z" Mason out of Nashville. A player with a basketball background and great upside in football. A great get by the Rebels.

Craig Haubert
  (3:36 PM)

Sorry Folks - Gotta run. Thanks for stopping by. Great Questions. Remember we will be here on NSD to chat several times - so look for times - Not only us Scouts but guys like Craig Roh, Jelani Jenkins and others are stopping by to take your questions.
