Chat with Paul Kuharsky

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:58 PM)

Hi folks. Thanks for coming. Hope Jacksonville faithful have seen the column just posted on Gene Smith....

Ran, Jerusalem, Israel

Is there even a slim chance T.O will end up in Indi? We can sure use him and the team is strong enough to handle his childlike behaviour. worked well for NE with Moss

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:59 PM)

Unless they've had a major philosophy change in the last week, no chance....

Nick, Long Beach

Comments on the following AFC South players for 2009 - Peyton Manning, Lendale White, Jones-Drew. What are the prospects for Slaton, will Houston get a bigger back to complement him?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:00 PM)

Manning -- Still completely capable of carrying his team far. White -- Last year in Tennessee, better use it to sell himself. MJD -- Going to miss Fred Taylor, needs to minimize injuries. Slaton -- Should pick up where he left off, looks like they will draft his help.

chris (tx)

What is the latest on Owen Daniels? Is he visiting with other teams or is he close to a contract with the Texans

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:01 PM)

He's restricted. So while they want to do a deal, there is no ticking clock. If he got an offer sheet, they'd match and draft-pick compensation is ridiculously pricey.

Jordan (Hendersonville, TN)

Now that the Titans have signed Washington in free agency, they probably still need to add another for depth. Do you think they will try to sign a veteran cheap or draft one in the 3rd/4th round?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:01 PM)

B. Maybe even earlier....

Scott Allen Indianapolis Indiana

Where do you see the Colts going in Free agency in regards to the Defensive woes they had towards the end of this past season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

Nowhere. They aren't a free agent team. Rarely bring in an outsider. They will draft LBs and at least one big DT. Could then bring in a vet in camp depending on how they are feeling about what they have.

Franklin, TN

Could DJ Moore be the first Vandy player drafted by the Titans in the 1st round? Will the Titans go defense with the first pick? Are they apt to go best player available, or will they draft for need?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

Possible. CB looks like prime spot for them right now, but sign Miller or Green or Carr and it's not a must-have and they can go best available. Moore's a great player, but he's tiny....

Daniel(Houston)

LB Barnett is visiting the Texans. If they sign him who will they target with their first pick? And will there be alot of takers for them to trade down?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

If they sign him, they really won't be desperate anywhere and can go best available. I'd say DT and CB would be top two remaining needs. Always possible to trade back, but need a partner....

Marc (Clarksville, TN)

I'm just curious, but how much of the lack of progress of Titans receivers falls on the receivers coach? Shouldn't they be blamed for not developing playmakers, or are they just not given anything to work with? I can't help but think that if someone is worth a draft pick, they have some potential to play.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

They underachieved under Alan Lowry, Steve Walters, Ray Sherman and Fred Graves. Seems like a problem bigger than coaches....

Ali: DC

Hey Paul, What about VY and good player for Jay Cutler? Seems like a good bet. Denver needs people on defense.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:06 PM)

How is that a good bet? Cutler is worth a lot more than that. You think people are anxious to get VY when the team that wanted him has given up?

JB (TX)

PK, were you surprised how much Brandon Jones got from SF? Also, apparently you were right thinking the Titans never really had a shot at bringing Big Al back...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

Hey bud. Was fortunate that my call on Big Al for a year played out as I suspected it would. Easy tea leaves to read... Who looks at the Titans and says, 'Let's pay one of THEIR receivers?'

Jared, Goodlettsville TN

What are the chances Vince Young is traded or more likely released in Tennessee. I heard last week that the Titans were feverishly trying to sign Chris Simms last week before losing him to Denver.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

With Simms out of the picture, VY is definitely in the picture into camp this year. If he completely bombs, they may have to look for a backup. But No. 2 is his to lose...

Aaron (Nashville)

How much time to C. Davis and P. Williams have left? If a vet gets cut post-June 1st that could contribute now, nobody flashy, does one of them get the can?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

They cost nothing now. Barring huge turnarounds, both will be cut at end of camp. They wouldn't get paid anything significant until Week One...

Jason (Bmore)

Nate Washington, Justin Gage. Same players. I don't get it?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

I think Washington is a little quicker, better deep. But let's accept your theory. Would you rather have a second Justin Gage or Justin McCareins?

Charlie Nashville ,TN

What do you speculate the team's plan for Chris Henry, Chris Davis and Paul Williams might be? Why have these guys been kept around without seeing the field? Not even sure I saw them much on special teams last year. Keep up the good work on the Zone in the AM.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:11 PM)

All cut at camp's end unless they make major strides. Little will win Henry's spot. People we don't know yet will win Williams' and Davis'...

Randall (Houston)

Hey Paul, I see the Titans are looking for backup at the CB position, thats great, but are they done on the free agent market as far as WR? Otherwise, is there a realistic chance that Percy Harvin falls to the Titans, or will they look for more help on Defense? Thanks for your time.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

I think they are done -- Washington for McCareins.A vet later or Hawkins or a pick to replace Jones third and for the fourth hole... Harvin is not a good fit, I don't think -- look back for a blog column on him. I think Heyward-Bey, Nicks and Britt could be in play if they break the round-one streak... Otherwise look for a second rounder....

j, houston tx

im a huge texans fan, what do you see them doin in the draft? and what have they done in FA so far?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

Good get with DE Smith. Too much money for backup QB Orlovsky. If they sign Burnett, then they need DT and CB...

Aaron (Nashville)

Paul - thoughts on the WC qualifier in Nashville at LP? I know it's only T&T (and kind of an odd time to get a qualifier here) but what a big step for Nashville in the soccer scene.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:15 PM)

So excited. Got great seats and will actually be able to sit in the crowd, sip a beer and root for the US 20 minutes from my house. Nashville soccer community needs to show up big, the only thing that could be better (outside of being a venue when the WC comes back) is a qualifier vs. Mexico, and we're probably too far south for that....

JB (TX)

Good to see VY is committed to the offseason, it would have been nice to hear him say it instead of his agent, however. Did the Titans really work on getting Chris Simms back, or did they more or less let him walk?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:16 PM)

They weren't going to pay a third QB that kind of money. He was certainly in play if things didn't work out with Kerry. If he had no suitors and came back cheap they would have loved to have had him....

Brad Burke, Va

Where do you see marvin harrison going?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

Either nowhere or to Philly late, like during camp...

Ali: Washington, DC

Thanks for the great post this morning from Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper about the Titans players in contract years. Offense: Kevin Mawae, Eugene Amano, Lendale White, Alge Crumpler, Ken Amato. Defense: Keith Bulluck, Stephen Tulloch, Kyle Vanden Bosch, Jevon Kearse, Dave Ball, Tony Brown, Nick Harper. What are your thoughts, especially about the more important players like Mawae, Bulluck, and Vanden Bosch?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

I don't think Mawae gets another contract, Leroy Harris is ready. KVB should get another deal. Bulluck I need to see this season. I'm not worried about guy like White, Amano, Amato, Kearse or Harper. They can or will move on in all those cases...

Dean Hamilton Adairsville, GA

What are the chances some block buster trade gets worked out for Jay Cutler by Tampa Bay, Detroit, or possibly some other dark horse team?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

Unlikely unless there is major lying going on. In the Cassel scenario, they had another starting QB. In these others, they don't....

Nathan (Billings, Montana)

Will the Titans get another WR? if so which one? And who do you see in Tennessee that is still on the Market?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:20 PM)

I don't think til the second round of the draft. Possible they'd bring Bennett back cheap and risk free...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:20 PM)

Focus here is AFC SOUTH...

Steiny (NYC)

The Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday re-signed defensive tackle Daniel Muir. What do you think Muir will mean to this defense in 2009?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

Not much if they answer their DT questions in the draft and with rookie free agents. He's serviceable, upgradable too...

Steve (Memphis,TN)

Is Justin McCariens still with the Titans? I read that he signed another one-year deal but then hear talk that he ain't there? Please verify.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

He is unrestricted, they are uninterested, and hopefully for Collins and the offense they remain that way....

alan (dallas)

Is Roy Williams an answer to the Texans secondary issues

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

No. They need a safety who can play the position -- meaning defend the run and the pass. He can't cover...

John (Seattle, WA)

Paul, who benefits from Marvin being let go? Wayne was awfully inconsistent, Clark seems injury prone, and Addai has major questions too. Is Gonzalez going to be Peyton's top weapon?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

Wayne and Clark looked pretty good to me, and will be the main guys. Everyone benefits, must mostly everyone who was behind Marvin benefits, meaning mostly Gonzo and the draft pick...

Jason (Bmore)

Fair enough. I was under the impression Gage was a bit more of a burner, but at the same time, Nate has caught 100 passes in his career, last year accounting for close to 50%. Getting 9mm guaranteed must be the way things go these days.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

He was behind two Super Bowl MVPs. None of those on the Titans receiver roster...

Russ (Nashville, TN)

What are the Titans chances of signing Justin Miller? I think he would be a more than adequate replacement for Chris Carr.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

I'd rather have Chris Carr, and that's still possible if he comes back to Earth...

Joey (Rochester, New York)

Why hasn't Daniel Loper generated any interest? Is he not ready yet to be a starter?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

Depends on who's answering that question. And then the teams that like him need to a) need a starting tackle and b) be willing to meet his price. Titans would love for him to return...

JRC, TX

So now that fat AL is gone does Jones fill in where he left off against Pittsburgh or does Hayes come in and light it up?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:26 PM)

Hayes is an end. It's be a rotating combo of Brown, Jones and Haye...

Dean Hamilton (Adairsville, Georgia)

Which AFC south teams could you see possibly taking a chance on T.O.?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:26 PM)

None: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcsouth/0-8-24/How-Owens-would-fit-in-the-AFC-South.html

Peter (Nashville)

I realize this is a major major stretch, but... If for some reason Sanchez was still on the board at pick 30, do the Titans pull the trigger and groom him for the future?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

I can't see how a QB needy team wouldn't trade ahead of 30 for him. If he was there at 30, I think Titans would shop the pick to QB needy teams. But it's not impossible they'd draft him if they feel OK about corner...

Sean (Philly)

How about Andre Johnson on one side, TO on the other, with Walters and Owen Daniels running in between?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

And don't forget TO tearing up the locker room....

Dale(Nashville)

Will Titans bring back Carr?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

If his price comes down, which means he doesn't find better opportunity, then sure. He'd be wise to come back and they'd like to have him...

Steiny (NYC)

Will Tra Thomas become a Jacksonville Jaguar in the next couple of days?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

No. He or his agent really got that out there. I think he's from near there and initiated contact. There was no official visit....

Matt (Rhode island)

Paul,do you think the Colts will address their inability to stop the run by adding a bigger DT and a play maker linebacker in the draft?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

Yes. Those and a WR are top three priorities and Polian will address them all in the draft....

KRIS (SPRING HILL)

HEY PAUL, ANY THOUGHTS OF THE TITANS PUTTING LENDALE WHITE ON THE TRADE BLOCK FOR A RECEIVER WHO IS DEVELOPED, AND DRAFTING ANOTHER RUNNING BACK TO REPLACE HIM. SEEMS AS RB'S ARE A DIME A DOZEN, AND CAN MAKE THE JUMP FASTER THEN DRAFTING A WIDE RECIEVER.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:32 PM)

I've gotten this a lot and I think people are really overrating White's trade value... Also he's a year away from being a free agent... RBs are a dime a dozen, but someone is going to give the Titans a quality receiver for theirs? Why?

Mark (Nashville, TN)

What is up with the Titan's man crush on Keith Bullock? There is a reason he has only been selected to one Pro Bowl.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:33 PM)

Because he doesn't get sacks because he's not in a 3-4? He may not be AS underrated as people say, but nationally, he is underrated...

Cameron (Monterey)

With the addition of Nate to Titans WR core, do you see the Titans now pushing off their WR needs even further into the draft. Possibly to the 5th round or later?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

I don't think they go into the draft saying, 'We won't take a receiver before round X.' But yes, it's less pressing than it was before they signed Washington...

Adam (Columbia TN)

With Vanden Bosch entering last year of his deal, will J.Ford be ready to fill in for his spot or will he be manning the other side in place of Kearse? What about D.Ball? Both are unknown to ppl outside of TitanLand but showed last year they are capable players but might be better suited in spot duty as compared to fulltime duty? Your thoughts?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

Good players who will get chances to show more this season and could replace Kearse in 2010. If KVB returns to form, I think he could sign during the season....

Anthony, Nashville

Paul, in your personal opinion, do you think Vince Young can turn it around or has he burned his bridges and has become damaged goods?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Never mind the bridges. He has not shown me any indications things have clicked in and he 'get's it.' And without that, he's got no chance, in my opinion....

Steiny (NYC)

Will the Texans can look at the draft as the best way to find a running back to complement Steve Slaton.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

I believe so. Benson would have been nice, but not at that price...

Peter (Nashville)

What kind of productivity do you see Washington bring?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

I see him keeping a safety honest, and that's the biggest thing. It will open up things for CJ and other pass catchers....

justin houston tx

what person in the league would be best to help mario williams on the line in the league or draft

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

If they could land Raji or Jerry in the draft to go with Okoye, Antonio Smith and Williams, that would be quite an offseason on the line....

Cameron (Monterey)

Now that we have a new defensive coordinator and with Big Al's departure, do you see the Titans mixing in a larger blitz package or stick with just rushing the front 4 like usual.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:38 PM)

Larger yes. But if the front four is getting there, it may not be needed....

Corey (Houston, Texas)

What do you think the Houston Texans next move will be now that Cedric Benson decided to stay in Cincinnati? Also, are there any updates on Dunta Robinson?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

Franchised guys like Robinson and Scaife are backburner issues right now, they're locked up and teams have time to get back to them...

Ali: Nashville, TN

When does Bo Scaife get a long-term contract to replace the tag? Approximately how many years and dollars might it be for?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

They have plenty of time to get to that. I haven't looked at or pondered the price yet....

Steiny (NYC)

Could you see Terrell Owens becoming an Indianapolis Colt?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

C'mon Steiny. I've answer a lot of these already. No, TO to the Colts won't happen...

Mark (Portland, ME)

Hate to belabor the TO thing... But, you started by saying No to Indy 'unless they had a major philosophy change'. Well, does a new coach qualify? Seems like that's Peyton's team now, and he would not tolerate the nonsense.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

No a new coach doesn't, because his boss is still Polian. Why do you want a guy that drops a lot of passes and is locker room problem? Why test Peyton's ability to control him?

Brandon West Orange, NJ

Hey do you think there is any chance of th Tennesee titans picking up any top notch WRs i know they got Washington, but it seems they should have a lot of cap space maybe T.O.?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

There are no top notch WRs out there, including TO. Don't get carried away with name recognition. Is that really the most important thing? That they have new guys you've heard of? Or do you trust them to find guys you'll love like KVB and Bironas and Tony Brown who you'd never heard of?

Jim (Georgetown, TX)

Paul, In class right now, thanks for rescuing me... Saw the article in either the NCP or Tennessean saying next offseason would bring more change with Bulluck, Harper, Crumpler, Scaife, Amano, Mawae, Brown, Kearse, Vanden Bosch, and Dave Ball are all potential free agents. Which of those do you see Tennessee holding on to beyond next season? Thanks, Jimbizzle

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

Scroll down for first answer to this... If KVB is healthy and back to form, I see an extension for him. Scaife will get a long term deal. They'll try to keep Brown and Ball if he's affordable and healthy... Jury will be out on Bulluck, depending on who they draft and how a pick and kegler come along and if KB drops off at all... Gone or replaceable: Mawae, Amano, Kearse, Crumpler, Harper... And Amano may not be coming free. He just signed an extension during the season....

Jeff (Philadelphia, PA)

Paul: With the Eagles only losing players lately, will they actually sign any big names to help their offense, and McNabb, this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

Again the obsession with big names. The most important thing to the Eagles should not be that you are intimately familiar with who they sign. How much did you know about Runyan when they brought him in? He turned out OK, no?

Gerald(Houston, Texas)

Paul, really enjoy the insight and information in your blogs. What are the chances that the Titans take a look at Tori Holt if he becomes available

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

Thank you... About the same as with every aging, slowing veteran in the league. Slim...

Stephen (Franklin, TN)

I love Springsteen but...Queen of the Supermarket? That may be the stupidest song ever. What's up with The Boss, Pauly?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

I didn't like it at first either, but then I read something about it... It talked about his ability to connect there with a simple human moment we've all experienced and how it's semi-courageous to even attempt... I'm a complete Bruce apologist, so you won't get anything bad out of me...

Joel

Do you think the Texans will take a RB in the 1st round? If so, who would be the best option?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

Not in the first round, no... DT, LB, CB, trade back. You take a RB at 15 and pay him 15 money and he's supposed to back up Slaton and you've created some cause for unrest.... And those other needs are bigger, they need defense...

Matt (NY)

What do you think about the Jags letting Taylor go? Maybe from a price perspective it was a decent move, but it seems like he's still productive and one of the last locker room leaders they have.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

I would have kept him...

Josh (Indy)

Why did the Colts non-tender Keiaho? Shouldnt they have at least gotten something out of him?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

Apparently they didn't think him worth holding on to. Heck of an indictment, you rarely see that with a who's had that playing time....

Tyler (Murfreesboro, TN)

Can you tell Wycheck that he needs to stick around past the 9:00 hour in the morning, his golf games can wait til midday. At least man up and stick it out with Mark and Kevin til 10. Also, you should go to 5 days a week. We need more blunt people on the radio. Well, besides Mark.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

You want him to work for free? His contract calls for him to work til 9. You think he just leaves when he feels like? Now showing up in the first place is a different story....

D.W. ( Nashville, TN )

Have you heard that maybe Torry Holt will be cut by the Rams? If so, what is the possibility that he would fit into the Titans system or do you think that he would be interested in playing for Tennessee?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Old ground here: Titans have a long history of not showing interest in aging, slowing WRs....

Dave (ILLINOIS)

Speaking of "big named" receivers.......are the Texans going to match the offer sheet that David Anderson signed with Denver?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

They already did, yes...

Mike Houston Texas

Paul do you see the Titans going after another WR like Lance Moore and any interest in a LB like Kevin Burnett if they cut Ryan Fowler? Thanks

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

I could see them targeting a RFA WR with no compensation attached. Don't think they'll do much beyond that, at least not during this stretch. Burnett can find better opportunity and money elsewhere I'd expect. He's meeting Texans today....

DD (Nashville)

Like Eric Moulds??

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

Keep going... Moulds and Pickens and Willie Davis in the last 12 years. And 500 guys they passed on....

Junior (Indianapolis)

Why don't people talk about Marvin Harrison very much? The guy has been one of the best receivers in the league the past 10 years and yet nobody even cares.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

Has been. Your words. Productivity against price right now I don't think there is a lot of interest. I see him surfacing in camp when someone thinks they don't have enough...

Matt (NY)

Paul, for a team that has historically leaned heavily on TEs - it seems like that might be a hidden, glaring need for the Titans. Crumpler was decent run blocking but very quiet as a receiver. Will they keep what they have, look to the draft, or maybe give Stevens more time?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

Stevens is mostly a blocker. Scaife is the pass catcher. Still pretty productive. They could draft one, though, to be ready for life after Alge...

Houston, TX

What's going on PK. Seeing as the cowboys are in need of safety help (along with mental help) what are the odds that the cowboys will try to pursue veterans like Gerald Sensabaugh or Jermaine Phillips if they even can? Thanks guy.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

It is time for Sensabaugh to surface somewhere....

David (Gainesville, FL)

Do you see the jaguars trading their draft pick for a lower first round and some other picks?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

Maybe. But if there is a quality LT or DT there, they need a quality guy in both spots and will likely take one....

4-C (StLouis, MO)

Do you anticipate the Colts elevating Gonzales to #2 and drafting a new #3 WR or keeping AG in the slot and drafting a new #2?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:01 PM)

Depends on who they draft. You'll remember last year in three-wide they often put Wayne in the slot. Think they'd like three guys who are flexible, so they can confuse people. But AG seems best suited to the slot to me....

Ryser (Miami, FL)

Ey PK do you think tennessee would trade down in the draft to be able to take a big playmaker at widereceiver such as Micheal Crabtree ?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:02 PM)

That's trading up, and while teams covet the guys up there, they don't covet their contracts or want to part with additional picks... Titans will likely stay put, or move back -- go from 30 to 35 and you save even more because you're out of the first round....

Jeff Atlanta

The titans were dumb enough to give givens a system guy a bunch of money why not an all star like Holt

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

If Holt is cut, doesn't that means the Rams, who are bad, think he's finished? Then why do the Titans want St. Loo's trash? Just because people know his name? There is a lot more to it than that....

Jim Mora (Seattle)

If i grow a mustache will I be as successful as Holmgren was with his years in Seattle?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

You should try it!

Josh (Charlotte)

Paul, I'm sorry for the people that keep asking the exact same questions. Don't they pay attention? Any chance of D. Brooks signing in Indy? We're mighty thin at LB.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

If Dungy was there, there would be a chance. But they go with a lot of kid LBs who are cheap. And under Coyer they are going to do a bit more, not just play straight Tampa Two, which is Brooks' thing....

Jared (Irvine and CA)

What about TO to NE? Strong leadership. It's Brady/Bellichicks team. Owen and Moss, Welker in the slot

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

They have the best chance of controlling him. But they don't need another vet receiver in my eyes...

Dave (Pittsburgh, PA

I do not believe Washington replaces McCairens. He replaces Jones. Their numbers were identical and is truly a number 3 receiver. The WR position has NOT been upgraded. Titans's fans will get just as frustrated as Pittsburgh fans over Washington's drops. He has no hands.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

Jones couldn't handle the work of a No. 2 -- if he could have, he would have taken McCareins job. Washington has more upside. His numbers were what they were in part because he drops balls, but moreso because he played behind two Super Bowl MVP wideouts.... If he's not better than McCareins, then it's a horrible signing. I think you might be better than McCareins....

zao (maryland)

Will the colts have a chance to get to a SB next year with this team, today it doesnt look as good as last years, or will a few draft picks be enough for a serious run instead of 1 and out in playoffs.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:08 PM)

All you can ask is for them to get in and have a shot. And this team plus a draft class will be good enough to contend to get in and have a shot...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

Well folks, it's been fun. Thanks for all the quality questions... Please scroll down and read, a lot of the later questions were touched on earlier... Hit my mailbag anytime. Sometimes it takes awhile, but I answer 85% or more personally, honest: http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/mailbagESPN?event_id=21417
