Chat with Paul Kuharsky

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:54 PM)

Good afternoon folks. The usual invites: Friend me on facebook at "Paul Kuharsky Espn"Sign up for as an AFC South Blog Twitter follower -- look on the right side of the blog page.Send questions to the mailbag any time. And check out the new column on the Texans' offense.

Andre Johnson (Houston, Texas)

I just wanted to point out to the Finnegan worshipers that I had 11 catches for 207 yards and a TD. While "trying" to "cover me" Finnegan drew 2 personal foul penalties because he was so angry that I was lighting him up. Looking forward to seeing you next year Finnegan.

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:56 PM)

Dude, you are great. Finnegan is good heading to great. Odds are the great receiver wins in the long run.

mums (Houston, TX)

Hey Paul thanks for the OTA stories on the Texans this week. With the free agent signings and draft picks, most believe the Texans are moving closer to their first playoff berth. That said, I'm starting to worry about the discontent emerging between the front office and Demeco, Daunta, and O.D., due to contract issues. How much will these distractions affect our season's success? Enjoy your stuff.

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:57 PM)

I think Kubiak will do a good job not letting it be an issue. But Daniels and Ryans are in bad spots leverage-wise. Because if there is no CBA the best they get in a year is restricted free agency.I don't know that I am buying the reports of the offers to Daniels and Robinson. How could they turn those down?

Daniel (Boston, MA (via Medina, TN))

When you're visiting practices, do you ever feel as though you get a real sense of the team's camraderie? Or, whether the team seems to respond well to the coach? Or, who the real team leaders are? If yes, do you have any such observations that surprised you or would surprise us?

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:58 PM)

All that stuff always looks and feels good for everyone in May and June. I think readers and fans want some divine signals on that stuff at this point in time and they just don't exist.Coaches don't even know for sure what they have,

harish (Fargo ND)

Why is everyone so high on texans this year? They pretty much have the same roster from last year. Some are even making them AFC south champions. Am i missing something?

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:59 PM)

Because someone unexpected always gets good. They don't have the same roster -- they have big additions on D-line and at OLB.

Chuck Norris (Where You Least Expect It)

I'll be helping Ed keep things in order!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:00 PM)

We love celebs. Get him a drink. Let me know what I can do to keep you happy Mr. Norris.

Brian (Jacksonville, FL)

Before we get things going, what is the status of the dog and will he be requiring your attention?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:01 PM)

Excellent question. He is out. I tried to start a bit early. We will end promptly, He will come in. And I will go get a sandwich and begin prep for a big softball game tonight. His name is Finley, by the way. Turned me into a dog guy.

Yet Another Mike (Jacksonville)

What kind of injury problems did Chris Brown have while in Tennessee, and should he now be good to go? Obviously the Texans hope so. All I know about Brown is that he looked like Jim Brown against my Jags a couple years ago.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

Toe, groin, hammy maybe shoulder and back too.I can't remember them all, really. Name a body part, he was probably on an injury report with it.

Todd (LaVergne,TN)

Yo Paul whats with the new chat format? I cant see or fresh a thing!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

Mailbag me concerns and I will pass along. I have some myself with the spacing. They are working hard to get it all sorted out.

Clay (Jacksonville, FL)

Nobody outside of Jacksonville knows about Mike Walker. All the attention has been give to Holt and the rookie wideouts, but Walker flashed in the Steeler game last year and then was dealt some serious blows in life, which made him fade. I'm a UCF alumni and remember Mike Walker and Brandon Marshall as the starting WR's. Walker was better in college, but has not performed yet. I am expecting a big time break out year for him. Just wondering what your thoughts on him are?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

Flashed being key word. Time for him to be available and play well for a long stretch or get passed.Great kid and I like him a lot, but he's got to get and stay healthy.

Brian (Jacksonville, FL)

With the release of Lemon I'm harkened back to Shack's decision to take Leftwich in 2003 when Brunell was more than capable. Not only would that have put the Jags in a position to take Big Ben the following year, but it would have saved us 2 BUSTS in Byron and Williams. Imagine how much better the team would look with Gross as your tackle and Ben as our QB?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

Hard to pass on a guy you like this year in anticipation of getting one the following year. They didn't know where Big Ben would go, or where they would be drafting.

Alex (Cookeville)

Hey Paul, how was the trip to Houston for OTAs? I know you were there for their activities, but do you have any insight as to how the Titans OTAs are going this week? Any news on the Rookies? Thanks! Looking forward to the rest of the chat

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

I will see the Titans work out tommorow and then a couple more times next week.

David Lawson (Bakersfield, CA)

Hey Paul, big fan of your Thursday chats. Its one thing I love to look forward to. Now, onto my question. Since Nick Harper is getting a bit old for a position he is playing, who do you think his replacement could be? The Titans drafted Cary Williams last year but didn't even play. They also drafted Ryan Mouton in the third round. Are these two potential replacements?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

Those two and McCourty, yes. I expect the Titans replace Harper next year as his contract is up.But I think he's been as good or better than any second corner they've had since 1996.

Tim Graham (AFC East)

Sweet, Chuck Norris! No one that cool ever comes to my chat.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

The latest on Graham:Friends wanted him to join them to see "The Hangover." But he elected to stay home and ordered "He's Just Not That Into You" on cable.

Cremaine (Nashville)

If Brandon Marshall becomes a free agent or gets traded what do you think of his chances of being a Tennessee Titan.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

Not in a trade, and I don't see how he becomes a free agent.

K. Collins (CMT)

I sure am glad all the talk is VY talk. Maybe no one will notice I havent put back to back good years in the NFL since my draft class. You havent noticed Paul. Have you?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

I don't think that guarantees you can't be good this year, no. A lot of factors go into that sort of "trend."

Dave (Canada)

In Tuesday's Reading the Coverage you titled one link: Shocker Lendale White defends Vince Young in a radio interview. Wouldn't it be more of a shocker if a teamate didn't defend VY? I know that you hate Lendale but he was just saying what almost every other Titan has said about VY, that he's a competitor who wants his job back and they can understand that.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

I was being sarcastic. I don't hate LenDale at all. In fact, I've probably defended him too much.

Pacman Jones (Da' Club)

Hey Paul, earlier in the summer you told me the only game I'd be playing in was a backyard football game. What do you think about Big J maybe taking me back in Dallas? I'm kinda like Eminem yo, it'd feel so empty without me!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

That died in half a day.

Andrew (Atlanta)

Paul, when are you visiting the Titans' OTAs?And what position battles are you most excited to see play out?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

Position battles don't really play out at OTAs.I know everyone is excited their teams get on the field some. But it's become a huge part of my job at this time of year to keep putting things in 'text and reminding you that it's mostly meaningless. The back end of the receiver rotation in Nashville will be one of the things that's interesting.

Dustin (Stanford CA)

Any chance we see the Lendale "The Round Mound" White and Chris "Crazy Legs" Johnson on the field at the same time more often this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

Why? The defense sees one take a hand off, and the other is immediately irrelevant, no?

Dustin (Stanford CA)

Hey Paul, I have been trying to ask you about CJ and the Titans passing game for a long time. They keep saying they are trying to get him involved more with the passing game. What do they mean? More swings, screens, and dumps? (Which sounds like Sando's Friday night) Or do they mean running real WR routes?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

I think they want the league to think he's going to be all over the place. And I think he'll be prepared to do more. But splitting him out is a once in a while kind of thing. Generally they are talking more about swings and screens.

Devin (The Boro)

I saw your post about Texans players having Twitter. I'm thinking about getting one myself and I was wondering which other AFC South Twitter-ers you knew of and what their Twitter account names are?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:15 PM)

Check out this site, the ones I've reported are included there:http://www.athletetweets.com/?page=1

Chuck Norris (Where You Least Expect It)

Thanks Paul. Who is the toughest guy in the AFC South? Big fan of Donavin Darius when he played and I like Bob Sanders, but tough means not being soft to injuries. You have anyone like that for me?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

Mario Williams. MJD. Finnegan is pretty tough, though he lets it get out of control sometimes.

Dan (Ohio )

From the Kevin Seifert chat:Aaron (NY): Who'd win in a fight between Tim Graham and Paul Kuharsky? Kevin Seifert: I'm sure I would have to call a halt to the proceedings for excessive biting, hair-pulling and scratching

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

I actually saw that. Glad to see the rivalry getting broader play.I'm no hair-puller, and Graham would come up empty if he tried that tactic.Let's have Seifert-Sando on the undercard?

Matt (Indianapolis)

Paul, What are you hearing on the Colts search for a number 3 receiver for the slot? Also, is Mike Hart getting close to recovery? He could be a difference maker in the short yard situations.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:20 PM)

There search entails three guys in their locker room: Garcon, Collie and Hall. I put them in that order based on what I saw and heard at minicamp.Hart has the makeup to be the third RB and contribute on special teams. Should be good to go for or during camp.

Mr. Bob Sanders (IR)

Hey Paul, what are the chances i won't get hurt this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

You're track record is pretty good in odd years, isn't that right?I love Melvin Bullitt, so they alternative is different but hardly terrible.

Tory Holt (Jacksonville)

So what if Garrard can't go deep very much? Aren't I more suited for the short-mid stuff now anyway, at this point in my career?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

You probably are. But an occasional home run alleviates a lot of pressure. I don't know if the Jags are talented enough to string together a bunch of 80-play drives every week.

RAY GORDON REID ( COLUMBUS OHIO 43512)

QUESTION TO PAUL KURHARSKY AT 3.20PM HI PAUL HOW WILL COLTS OFFENSE BE THIS YEAR

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

Very good. They have this QB Peyton Manning I am HEARING GOOD THINGS ABOUT...

Kenny Britt (Da South)

Paul, Do you really think I have to learn this entire huge playbook before coach will put me on the field? Or do you think my skills are such they cant help but put me on the field my rook season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

I expect they'll be willing to use you with a limited package providing you know it inside-out.

Marvin Harrison (A step slowville)

Is there any way i get picked up..for leadership? maybe by the Titans?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

You can only have 80 players. I believe you need to sign them all with the intent of them playing and producing. I don't sign a guy for leadership if I don't believe he can play anymore. And the league seems to be unified on this one at this point.

Jacksonville Jaguars (Jacksonville)

It must me nice having to fret about who your third receiver will be.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

Nice.

Titansfan615 (Murfreesboro)

What should the titans expect from Jovan Haye, and do you think with a revamped KVB.. we still collapse that pocket?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

Yup, I do.From here forward, if your question is posted multiple times in a row, they all disappear, along with the chance of being answered.Chuck Norris and Ed have my back here.

JB (TX)

So what does PK do to pass the time after OTA/minicamps and before camps open? Quiet introspection? Hit the clubs w/Pacman and make it rain? Or something inbetween?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

Empties his tape recorder of all the stuff he gathered to keep you entertained and informed through the next six weeks.Runs. Cooks. Sees a couple flicks. Reads a couple books.Has one mini-vacation to an undisclosed beach location. Thanks for your concern!

Peyton Manning (home)

PK, I'm glad to see that you've been hearing good things about me, because we haven't been communicating and I feel left in the dark

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

My weekly request for your cell or email. Or address for smoke signals?

Taylor (Murfreesboro, TN)

Hey, paul! what do you think about Chuck Cecil? and do you think that he can keep up the recent tradition of a strong defense in Nashville?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

I think he will be just fine. The Titans passed the torch to Williams and Schwartz pretty seamlessly, there is no reason to expect this won't be the same.

Multiple submitter ((Billy Volek's basement))

Our browsers don't tell us if questions have been submitted or not, leading us to click "Submit" more than once. Can you give us assurance our questions are getting there?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

This one did. Thank you for clarifying that and providing me with 'text.

Keith Bulluck (Smashville)

Is there anyway my team shows me the respect i deserve and pays me, and I stay a Titan?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

I don't think they are disrespecting you if they don't break the bank to sign you.And I suspect, as you do, that this is it.

Dave (Canada)

Today is Sir Paul McCartney's birthday. What's your favorite McCartney/Beatles song?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

Day Tripper and Maybe I'm Amazed.

Finley (outside in the heat)

Hey man, can I come in? It's hot out here!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

You're OK buddy. I'll check on you in a second. When did you get Internet out there? And fingers?

DeWayne (Portland TN)

Do the Titans draft a QB in the first round next year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:30 PM)

Sixty-percent chance, I think.

Tony (Florida)

Paul.....what about Marshall for Henderson and a 1st or 2nd?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:31 PM)

They've already dealt their second next year, correct? You want no first day pick?

Tom (Chicagoland)

Any chance the Titans franchise Bulluck next year? They'll have 2 to use with no CBA.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:31 PM)

Not inconceivable.

kpweaver27 (Kokomo, IN)

I feel like if Brandon Marshall is to be traded, the Colts should get involved. They have few areas of weakness and adding another star receiver might put this team over the top. Thoughts?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:32 PM)

Not the way the Colts operate.

joesph addai (watching tape)

Hello Paul, remember when i was a rookie and ran the football like i needed this job. You think i can get that back and stop hopping in the backfield like a rabbit on red bull?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:32 PM)

I suspect Donald Brown may motivate you to that end.

Danny (Broward county,FL)

Hey Paul, with Dungy out as the Colts head coach do you think that Peyton Manning can still make them contenders for the AFC south? Who do you think is gonna be a key factor for their team in this division?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:34 PM)

Absolutely I expect them to contend. O-line will be the big story.

kpweaver27 (Kokomo, IN)

I suppose I'm wondering if "the way the Colts operate" will shift a little with Caldwell as head coach.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Polian is the same guy who doesn't trade away first-round picks.

Dave (Canada)

Should golf become an indoor sport? I had a great day of work planned where I would get to follow the US Open leaderboard online and then come here for a chat and then go home. It would have been amazing. Now I ahve to do actual work.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Bad luck dude.

kpweaver27 (Kokomo, IN)

Why are over half of the questions answered about the Titans?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

Blew your chance to change the trend by asking something about Colts, Jags or Texans. Good job by you. Congrats!

Brian (Jacksonville, FL)

So now that you have visited with each team, what is your take on the tone\attitude based on last year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:38 PM)

That I've got to revise all your thinking that I can judge each team's tone and measure it against the other three out of OTAs or minicamps.

Roger Goodell (NY)

Is there going to be an outcry if I let Stallworthless play this season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

Yes.

JB (TX)

So other than the giant mosquitos what was your impression of that year you spent in Houston? What part of town did you live in? Were you more of a Men's Club or a Treasures guy?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

Lived in a dump on Richmond. Near Antonio's Flying Pizza. Yum.

Awayne (INDY)

Who do think will take shot at Matt Jones once training camp opens,I think the Redskins makes a lot of sense, your thoughts?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

I'd be very surprised if he's not on a team on opening day, or at least for Week Two -- which would help ensure his contract isn't guaranteed.

Justin (Ohio)

What are the chances of Grossman making the cut in Houston? Are they that worried about Orvlosky, or are they seriously considering keeping three QBs this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:41 PM)

Yes they are. And it's about Schaub, not Orlovsky, I think...

Dave (Canada)

After Joey Buss' remarkable performance on the mic after the Lakers won, would it be well advised to keep Bud Adams' grandson away from the mic if the Titans win?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:41 PM)

He'd do better than Bud. But no chance Bud would pass on the chance.

Kyle (L.A.)

Paul, why do so many people expect the Titans' D to make such a precipitous fall this season without Haynesworth? Does no one recall that they actually beat the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers sans Haynesworth last season? What do you think?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:41 PM)

Rather have him than not, but they can win plenty of games with what they have.

Parker Shipp (Murfreesboro)

5 Years from now name the player who has had the best career with the titans Washington, Britt, Cook, or Gage

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

Good one. I want to say Gage, but I am going to say Britt.

Jason (Chicago)

Paul besides the Steve McNair fiasco have you ever critized the Titans front office. I am a huge titans fan but you and the rest of the media in general is overly friendly with those in power. Think Resse/Adams/Fisher ran McNair out of town for a 63% completion rate 16TD's and 11ints in 2006 but you praise Collins for a 12TD 7int season where he completed 58

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

Ripped them for their handling of Randall Godfrey. Destroyed them on Pacman for a long time and have been pretty hard on them for Vince. Have hit them on wasting draft picks on a Chris Henry or a Byron Frisch. Repeatedly say Fisher is too loyal and too conservative, that this idea that he treats everyone the same isn't true just because he says it.I could spend an hour on this.McNair was breaking down and had a contract they could not stomach. It's really, really too simple to slap down two stat lines and compare as if that's all there was. How about dollars? How about wear and tear?

Brian (Jacksonville, FL)

Sorry Paul. We that follow the AFC South blog expect nothing short of miracles from you with regard to divisional evaluation. We may not have the most tradition rich clubs but dang it we'll have the best reporting and most educated fans!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

I've now been bought a beer by a reader in Jacksonville and Houston. Are you listening Indy?

Dan (Ohio )

What was your opinion of Norm Chow? Do you think he is only capable at the college level?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

Scapegoat. Good guy. Don't know if he could have been good in NFL or not, but he didn't have a fair chance.

JT (Houston)

By ANTONIO's! I know exactly where you were. Yeah, it is a dump. Should have came down Westheimer to the Westchase area near the beltway - of course then you would've been further from Reliant.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

I was poor. And Reliant was a dream. I was an Astrodome guy. Ultimately I dated a girl who lived in Pin Oak Park and spent a lot of time there.

Tim Graham (AFC East)

The Colts used to be in the AFC East. On their behalf I will ship you a case of Zima.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

And your DVD of "He's Just Not That Into You?"

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

I can taste it. Do you seriously think the Broncos have a chance to be good?

Jason (Chicago)

OK Paul please do spend an hour on this because you have been reporting on the titans FOREVER well since before they became the titans and were playing in Memphis and you named the six times you ripped them. Think about that

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

When I write a story headlines "Playoffs or pink slips" and they go to the Super Bowl, I really should slam them harder.I'm not going to apologize for having civil relationships with people I cover. I have one, albeit a younger one, with Del Rio, Polian, Kubiak, etc...

Alex (Cookeville)

You hear about Hank Williams Jr shooting the MNF Music Video on Monday and Tuesday next week in Nashville? You should go and rep the AFC South Chat, I know I am

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

I may do a fly in the wall thing. But I had Hank on the phone last year and wrote about him. And he was all over the place.

Dave (NC)

What are the chances Ryan Moats is able to make the Texans again this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

I think he's a good third or fourth back, and I think it's unlikely more than one of the rookies really steps forward. Factor in Brown's propensity for injury and I think Moats should make it.

Most Interesting Man in the World ((Trying to save you))

Paul, even me being cannot make your chat more interesting than Tim Grahams.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Would you like a beer, kind sir?

kpweaver27 (Kokomo, IN)

What do you see as Marlin Jackson's future with the Colts? Does he stay at corner, convert to backup safety, or find a new team next year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Why would you convert to backup safety when they have Bullitt?

rick (st louis)

Do you think a Belichick coached Titans team would have at least one ring?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

Very good question.Probably.

Dave (Canada)

Which AFC South player is the most likely to get a Sports Illustrated cover this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

In all such scenarios, the likely answer is Manning.

Andrew (Cartagena, Colombia)

Whatup, Paul. I find it laughable that the Colts have become the trendy, "This team will miss the playoffs" pick. In my opinion, if the Colts can run the ball, they will contend for the Super Bowl. Do you agree?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

I do. I will be very surprised if they do not make the playoffs. O-line is the biggest issue/story.

Justin (NYC)

What are the chances Big Jon Henderson is traded/released by the start of the season. What do you think the Jags would get for him in a trade?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:55 PM)

Traded: 2%Released: 0%Teams would kill to get their hands on him and take their chance with his work ethic. They need to get him playing again, not get rid of him. We don't know who their second DT is, better yet their third.

Keith (VA)

I just want to ask you your take on which WR would you take on your tam Johnson or Fitzgerald?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

Fitzgerald. Mostly because he's younger and I think faster.

Hunter (Kansas)

How many wins can the cheifs pull with Cassel at QB?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

Five?

Hoople331 (Franklin)

Any comment on how the Titans are coming together on the field? Do they look like a cohesive group? I think the relative youth is going to pay off in increased speed.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

No comment, no. I said earlier some huge sign of how a team is coming together is not available in June. Every team looks like everything is great.

Roger Goodell (NYC)

PK, I'm here to investigate tampering going on in this chat. Brandon Marshall is under contract to the Denver Broncos and Bill Williamson is the AFC West blogger. Treat lightly.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

Apologies, sir. Want some dirt on Pac?

Dave (Nashville)

Paul, when do the networks announce who will be commentating on each game?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

They assign crews a few weeks before, but it's usually not public info until the start of the game week.

matt (columbia mo)

I hate the question asked about Belichick and whether he would have got the titans a ring. Fisher is the longest tenured head coach for a reason. If you think Belichick would have one a ring with the titans explain what he could have done differently. In the super bowl Mike Jones made an amazing tackle, and Its not Fisher's fault the refs last year missed the delay of game or that CJ decided to get hurt. I just think that you saying Bill would win one is a smack in the face to fisher. . . the only way i see Bill winning one is by him cheating by watching their practices. . . I still think you are the best journalist ESPN has to offer and I follow you on twitter and facebook. So please rationalize this assumption for me

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:01 PM)

BB changes game plans dramatically week to week, which makes the Patriots completely unpredictable.Fisher does what his team does, and wins or loses with it.I think BB's style translates to some additional playoff success in Tennessee -- or pretty much anywhere.

Eddie (CA)

What 3-game stretch do you find to be most difficult on the Texans schedule? What do you believe will be their record for the three game stretch?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

Indy-Ten-Indy with the bye in there. 1-2 tops.

Jason (Chicago)

Paul there you go again being silly. Andre J gets more catches for more yards on a team that throws dramatically less then AZ and he has Kevin Walter opposite him not a probowler like Anquan Boldin

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

Was I supposed to take each out of 'text and examine in a vacuum, or pick him based on what he's done with the team and people he's done it with? I love AJ. But LF is probably the one guy I take ahead of him.

dan (san diego)

what are the chances of the JAGS turning it around this year?? everyone sees the NFC east as the best division in football, but if JAX can turn its game around, along with Tenn, the colts of manning, and the emerging texans i see the afc south as potentially the toughest division this year. your thoughts Paul??

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

Jags can be much better and not make it out of fourth.

TJ (Ft. Myers)

Lasr week, Ed gave me a 2 game suspension for failing to timely respond. Any chance I can get a reprieve from the commish for next week?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

Talk to Ed or Roger.

Steve (Upland, IN)

I love your witty comebacks during these chats. They are rarely predictable, but usually funny. If Football had a Mystery Science Theater 3000 equivalent, you could defintely be the voice of one of the witty robots.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:06 PM)

I would accept that job if offered.

Eddie (CA)

Which top Texans player have you seen underperforming at OTA's?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

Eddie, I need your readership buddy. As I said in the blog, veterans didn't participate in the minicamp practices. And while the kids had their sessions, I was inside talking to the vets.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

One or two more.

Morgan (Boise,ID)

How is it that we are hearing that the Titans might not resign Bulluck next year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

He's saying it, writers like me are agreeing with it, and apparently the comments are being read aloud.

Seth (Denver)

When can we expect your article on Tony Ugoh?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:08 PM)

Within the next couple weeks. Thanks for asking...

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

OK folks. We may have a time shift next week. I will let you know.Hit me on facebook, twitter and in the mailbag. Thanks for coming!Cheers!
