Hello football fans! We'll be here each week starting at 7:30 p.m. ET to chat live up to and during the Monday Night Football game! Get your best questions and comments ready and submit them below!
Hi there, folks. Aaron Schatz here from Football Outsiders to take your questions on tonight's AFC South showdown and anything else about the National Football League. And now, it's time to rock out with your cochlea out. (Check a medical textbook... it's in your ear.)
Do you think the titans d fence will be good enough to stop matt schaub and the texans?
No, not really, but then again I'm not sure that the Texans defense will be good enough to stop Chris Johnson and the Titans offense. I am guessing you are going to have a high-scoring game here. These teams are currently 11th (HOU) and 19th (TEN) in FO's offense ratings, but 24th (HOU) and 27th (TEN) in defense. By the way, last year when Andre Johnson played the Titans, he had one game with 29 yards and another with 207. Heh. 149 yards in first game between these teams this season, and yes, Cortland Finnegan was still healthy at that point.
Is the only reason jamarcus russell got drafted so high was his performance in the bowl game..
No, there was more to it than that. He had some big wins all season, and scouts absolutely loved his arm strength. But they just ignored the fact that this guy had no accuracy and his decision-making skills were lousy. You can't really simulate "go through your progressions and figure out who's open" in a private pre-draft workout.
why do we never talk about raiders?
Spencer, scroll on up.
Aaron, what is the best explanation for LenDale White's massive dropoff in production this season? Obviously, Chris Johnson's recent explosion would rendered nearly all other RB superfluous, but White was hardly playing well early in the season, either.
Clearly, Patron was the man's spinach. No, seriously, I think the problem is some decline from the Tennessee offensive line. The blocking just hasn't been as good as it was last year. LT Michael Roos in particular seems to be having problems this year. With Chris Johnson, you don't notice this as much because when he *is* able to get through the first line of blocks, it's time to go off to the races. LenDale is much more dependent on his initial blocks, because he's more of a "find the hole, push the pile, get the extra yard when it is there" kind of guy. He's able to get more yards on those kind of plays than Johnson is... but if those yards are coming two or three at a time, nobody is going to notice, because he's not mixing in the occasional 50-yard touchdown or whatever.
do the saints (my team) have enough strength to make it to the superbowl? if so who would they play?
Sho' nuf. Saints have to be NFC favorite right now. FO playoff odds gave them 36% chance to make the big game and 18% chance to win it BEFORE Week 11 action. (http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds -- won't be updated with Week 11 until after tonight.) The top four teams are pretty obvious right now: New Orleans and Minnesota in the NFC, Indianapolis and New England in the AFC. The most likely Super Bowl scenario has one of those teams playing the other. Of course, we haven't seen a lot of "most likely Super Bowl scenarios" over the past few seasons, have we?
Do you think that Kerry Collins is done now? Is his career or do you think he has a few years left, possibly with another team? Kind of how he started with the Panthers and now with the Titans?
It's hard to imagine the guy's going to want to drag himself out there for training camp with a new team for a few hundred thousand dollars and a chance to be a backup. He's going to be 37 in December. Then again, some guys have stayed around forever, so maybe he wants to keep playing. I dunno, if I were him I would think it's time to go back and be with my family.
With the recent improvement of Vince Young and only one year left on Kerry Collins' contract, how serious do you think the Titans will be at looking at QB's in the 2010 draft?
Honestly, that depends a lot on how Young plays over the next few weeks. After the trouble he has had, it's hard to see them passing up someone like Sam Bradford if he's there when they are drafting. But he's played very well so far -- 25% better than an average QB according to FO's advanced DVOA metric -- and if he keeps playing this well, it makes sense for the Titans to draft a QB in the third or fourth round as a backup and let Young try to take the reigns again.
do you think the jags have a good chance on making the playoffs?
Football Outsiders was one of the few media outlets that picked Jacksonville for the playoffs before the season began. (For all I know, we were the *only* media outlet to pick Jacksonville for the playoffs before the season began.) However, while the 6-4 record is nice, our DVOA ratings have them 18th, the lowest of any team with a winning record. Their remaining schedule is the sixth-hardest in the league, with MIA, NE, and IND in December. It will be tough, but it isn't ridiculous, especially given the quarterback situation in Denver and, if Roethlisberger can't go this week, Pittsburgh.
Honestly no. the best player on that team is maurice jones drew. who isnt even one of the best backs in the leauge.
MJD isn't one of the best backs in the league? Put the pipe down, man. Who is better than him? Adrian Peterson, maybe. You could make a case for Steven Jackson and Chris Johnson. Rice? Can't think of anyone else.
Will Chris Johnson go over 100 yards tonight, or will the Texans' D stop him?
We measure how many long runs each defense gives up based on percentage of yardage that comes 10 or more yards PAST the line of scrimmage. The Texans defense has given up 33% of rushing yards this way, tied for the worst in the league. This is not a good thing if you are aiming to stop Chris Johnson.
When Owen Daniels returns will he still have the talent he has showed over the last couple seasons?
I don't see why not. He'll have the same post-ACL surgery adjustment period most other players have, unless he is lucky and has a Javon Walker-style recovery. But after an adjustment period, I'm sure he'll be back to high quality.
How many more productive years does kurt warner have left in him.
Nobody knows, because there are so few precedents for a quarterback playing so well at this advanced age. Warren Moon and Brett Favre, that's it.
How would you describe the Texans' shot at the playoffs???
"Moderate." Three teams have very clear holds on division leads, but the AFC wild card picture is a mess right now. So Houston is in there, but so are a lot of teams. Our last FO playoff odds report gave them a 26 percent chance. That goes up with so many teams they are competing with losing (DEN, BAL, PIT) but down if they themselves lose tonight.
Could the Titans actually win the wild card if the Steelers blow more games like they did verse the Chiefs?
FO's Bill Barnwell wrote about this in our weekly MNF-related feature for ESPN Insider: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=4673845
Do you think the Vikings can make the super bowl?
Randy, maurice jones drew has the most touchdowns in the league if im not mistaken.
Yes, indeed. He also leads all running backs in fantasy points. Score one for us: Our preseason KUBIAK fantasy projections had MJD number one, actually ahead of Adrian Peterson. I don't think there's anyone else out there who didn't have AP number one. Honestly, *I* would have even taken AP number one, despite what my numbers said. But here we are, and MJD is the top back in fantasy football -- and it isn't like this is a "not as valuable in real life" type performance either.
Do you believe that Schaub can be an elite QB in this leauge or will he always be a very good one?
What do you mean by "elite"? Right now, FO's advanced metrics have Schaub as the third most valuable QB in the NFL this season, behind only Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. If by "elite" you mean as good as those two guys, year after year, well, no. He's not going to get to that level. Only a handful of guys in NFL history have gotten to that level. But right now, when he's able to stay healthy (this season, for example), Schaub is playing at a level that matches Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and Carson Palmer. (Note: Obviously, part of that is that he gets to throw to one of the two best receivers in the NFL, but it isn't like the REST of his weapons are that good.)
Would the AFC South get more national recognition if they didn't have two of the smallest markets in the NFL (Tennessee and Jacksonville)? Year in and year out it seems to be a pretty tough division, but the bigger markets always seem to get more publicity--even when those teams are not as competitive.
Shhh... don't tell anyone, but Indianapolis is a pretty small market as well, I believe 25th in the Nielsen rankings. To give an example of the market size issue, Houston (10th) is the only one of the four AFC South markets that also has a baseball team, and Houston and Indy are the only ones that also have the NBA. Obviously, Indy doesn't seem like a small market now since they have one of the two best players in the game, but without Peyton Manning they would be no different from Nashville or Carolina. So yeah, that's part of why the AFC South doesn't get as much press. The other part is that everybody is used to the Colts and Peyton Manning just winning every year, it seems like the other teams generally fall short even if they do make a playoff run. I'm talking here about perception, not necessarily reality. Of course, the AFC South may not be filled with small markets for much longer, since eventually that team has to leave Jacksonville. Would you like the second-biggest market in the country in your division? "Los Angelenos, always come from somewhere..."
So is this whole Vince Young is mentally unstable swept under the rug because they are winning?
This is my version of the Bill Simmons mailbag trick where he posts a thought-provoking and/or mildly tasteless e-mail from a reader, then doesn't actually comment on it. Consider my thoughts provoked, Zwaag.
Looking at the Steelers remaining schedule it is hard to think they won't make the playoffs! They might be 6-4 but they can play with anybody, in the 4 losses, 3 have been by 3 points. Stop the mistakes and they will be fine, you agree?
Uh, Chris, "stop the mistakes" is a pretty good recipe for ANY team to make the playoffs. It isn't like the Steelers have some special "awesomeness if not for a few mistakes" power that other teams don't have And that's not a super-easy schedule the rest of the way, with Baltimore TWICE and Miami, although Green Bay obviously looks much, much less dangerous without Al Harris and Aaron Kampman for the rest of the year. Anyway, the Steelers are a good team and I would guess they have a better chance than most to get a wild card, but it isn't a cakewalk. (Mmmmm... cakewalk...)
i was hopeful after last year that the titans would make a run at the colts' dominance. will any of the afc south teams curb indy's dominance if peyton's still in town?
Wait, you are in Indianapolis and want the Colts to lose? Man, you live in hostile territory. Anyway, other teams have made a run at being as good as the Colts, but the Colts themselves just win 12 games year after year after year. When will it end? Well, other than a Manning injury, I think two things can take down the Colts, at least temporarily. 1)When Jeff Saturday retires, because so much of Manning's ability to call plays on the field and guide the offense is connected to Saturday's ability to work with him and the offensive line. You saw how the Colts offense had problems when Saturday was injured at the start of last year. Saturday is a year older than Manning and quarterbacks last longer than centers. 2) When Bill Polian retires, because he's done such a good job of picking out talent that is undervalued (even, often, undrafted) but perfectly fits the Colts system. Although if Chris Polian takes over for him, nobody may notice the difference.
I'm so glad that Chris Johnson is on MNF so the country can finally see that he is THE BEST BACK INT HE LEAGUE!! Is it just me or is he the most exciting player the NFL may have ever seen? I'm not saying best, or whatever, but pure explosion. Your thoughts.
"Hi, I'm Jim Brown. I match the explosiveness of Chris Johnson with the power of Jerome Bettis. Did I mention that in my spare time, I'm also the best lacrosse player who ever lived?"
I keep bugging Bill Barnwell every week about the Titans, and I want to get your input if possible. Do you think the Titans can go at least 8-8, and do you know what the percentages of teams that are 9-7 and 10-6 that make it to the playoffs?
I don't have the percentages handy. A lot of 10-6 teams get wild cards. 9-7 not so much. Even 8-8 may be tough. The Titans still have to play the Colts, the Chargers, and the Cardinals. The Dolphins aren't pushovers either. And of course, they have a good opponent tonight.
Who wins tonight?
Like every Monday night since Ron Jaworski finally joined the MNF booth, the answer is "you, the viewer."
Are the Cwoboys the best NFC East Team?
Nice name, Aaron. Our stats have the Eagles as the best NFC East team. Right now, the Eagles rank fourth in our DVOA ratings, Dallas ninth, the Giants 11th, Redskins 22nd. Yes, I know Dallas beat Philly by four on their field, but overall the Eagles have been better this year -- although they've also been very inconsistent, even more inconsistent than the Cowboys and Giants.
Can Baltimore beat the Steelers this coming week, without scoring touchdowns ?
What is this, 2000? When did Joe Flacco turn into Tony Banks?
Do the Patriots have a chance in slowing down the Steamroller known as the Saints next Monday night?
Yes. The Patriots are the number one team in the Football Outsiders DVOA ratings, while the Saints are third. While the Patriots and Vikings have gotten better over the course of the season, and the Colts have stayed very consistent following a somewhat disappointing Week 1, the Saints have definitely declined since the high of their first four games. If I was picking a line based on FO metrics, I would actually say the Pats should be favored, even over the undefeated Saints on the road, by maybe 1-2 points.
Did yesterday's performance by Matthew Stafford move him ahead of Percy Harvin for Rookie of the Year?
I don't think so. His overall numbers are still not outstanding. Besides, the real rookie of the year is playing in tonight's game: Houston linebacker Brian Cushing.
remember when VY got ROY. Remember?
Yeah. That was AWESOME.
OK, I'm out of here. Everyone enjoy the game, and like I said: Brian Cushing, rookie of the year. Watch and enjoy, and wonder what the Texans would be like if they actually had other players to put next to Cushing, Ryans, and Mario Williams (and if Dunta Robinson was playing as well as he did pre-ACL injury).
Thanks, Aaron! OK, everyone ready for some football??!!??!!
Ladies and gentleman, coming to you live from everywhere and nowhere, the one, the only, BUZZMASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's Monday night....can you feel the buzz.....
Buzz. Buuuuuuuuzz. Oh Buuuuuuuzzzzzzzzz.
Has anyone seen Buzz? BUZZ!!!!!!!!
Hello Hello. My eyes are still a little glazed over from the American Music Awards but here we go ... the Chris Johnson show about to begin.
lets just all hope this is alot more exciting then last monday
Vince looks nervous tonight...not like at Texas or recent Titans games...trouble coming.
I had the flu last week but I plan an appearance tonight
I don't see how it can be less exciting than last Monday. There are actual playmakers playing tonight.
We missed you terribly, momentum!
Man I miss watching Earl Campbell run
Why are people ripping last weeks game. Games with little scoring and hours after hour of no action can be very exciting.
And we have kickoff ...
this should be a high scoring game
steve slaton is back and he wont drop any balls this week
Nice to see a pass rush from Tennessee.
Over/under on # of times, gruden, tirico, and jaws retell the Vince Young story tonight: 39
tommy, earl campbell didn't run. he bulldozed.
2 plays, 2 Johnson handoffs. Going to see a lot of that tonight.
Buzz no one cares about a pass rush from the Titans. You're fat.
So I should cancel that trip to Peru?
well that was the worst 3-11 play call i have seen all week
Unnecessary roughness on matt. lose of post.
At this rate we're on our way to having 40 punts in this game.
At this rate were only going to have 40 post during the chat.
Alright folks, took the bandwagon from last week to the junkyard but anybody riding the Titan wagon??!!
Texans gonna step up, big time, big stage, biggest game ever, BIG WINTexans 38, Titans 21
Andre Johnson makes it look so easy.
ANDRE JOHNSON IS BEAST!!
I'm cruising in the Texans bandwagon. Population: 1
here comes the fisticuffs
Looks like just pushing and shoving. No fists. Yet.
Now that's a good quote "I brought my checkbook."
that will make the commish very happy!!!
The Titans won't be writing any checks to V. Young after this year, they'll be looking for a new qb.
Vince Young is going to the HOF. He said so himself
Shovel pass to Slaton for a TD. Slick.
Jay Cutler said he has the strongest arm in the league, he said so himself.
We'll see if Vince attempts a pass for more than 5 yards on this drive.
Fisher's stache is NOT happy
Hold on, buying a Havoc Heli.
VY goes over 100 tonight.
HOW MANY YARDS DO YOU THINK ANDRE JOHNSON WILL HAVE?
Buzzmaster, inches...it's a game of inches. Not feet.
110 is also the weight of each of Buzz's limbs.
I'm sorry for being late. I apologize to all my friends and fans out there, and thanks for understanding.
AJ is amazing, gonna torch them pore lil titans Johnson-150yds, 2tds
Chris Johnson almost had a Devin Hester moment there.
That's a personal foul for unchatmanlike conduct against Ross from Illinois for typing in all caps. 15 yards and it remains 1st down.
V WHY threw it down field a little bit! It was incomplete, but it's the thought that counts!
Andre is incredible, but the real reason for the Texans success is Matt Can't Stump the Schaub
punt o meter should read 3, there were two punts in the first three minutes.
I have a dilema SN. We just moved to a new house that is right on a golf course. I love playing golf but now the wife want clubs and lessons for X-Mas. How much do I have to spend to get out of this so I can have my 4 hours of peace?
Oh boy. You need a diversion. Fast. Nation? Help a fellow chatter out?
Chad, half of what you own
People who don't know how many punts there have been need to get lives.
Turning into Slaton's drive. Nice running.
Chad, bowling seems to be getting popular again... give up on the links!
I was thinking new car would make her forget but I don't want to go that big.
Make the first experience a bad one ... pick the busiest time, arrange for annoying foursome in front of you, chance of rain, hit some balls into the high grass and spend 30 minutes looking for it ...
Oh yeah. I forgot about the Texans' pathetic first drive. Punt-o-Meter: 3
all that great blocking for nothing
Chance of rain? I live in Vegas. It has rained less than 1.5 inches the entire year here.
OK, the other direction. Hottest day possible.
I'm here if anyone cares
Jaws' head is going to explode next week.
I'm starting to think Vince can't throw the ball more than 25 yards. Barely had enough on that 20-yarder.
If this games a bust, does ESPN amp up the ads for the game next Mon?
Surprising we haven't seen more ads for next week. Best game of the season on MNF.
His delievery looks like Terrelle Pryors... ie not good
C'mon Saints get to 18-0 vs 18-0 Indy in the SB. I still want to see Mercury Morris' head explode.
Wow, perfectly placed ball there from VY.
Vince, we triple dog dare you to pass on us!!
New England is poised and ready to 'not' go for it on 4th and 2 against the Saints.
End of 1st Q. Texans 7, Titans 0. Looks like Fisher wasted a time out there.
Oops. 1 second left.
Nice play. That was a long toss. 17 yard gain. NOW end of 1st Q.
Tennesee should want to end this quarter.
Are we watching the Titans or Georgia Tech?
Buzz says VY can't throw more than 20 yards. Then Vince bombs a perfectly place ball down field.
Hey, our first Bud Adams sighting.
gotta love the Bud-Man
Buzz this chat is so bad I've had to drop my pants in disgust.
Don't look now, but Vince Young is quickly becoming the next Peyton Manning.....HAHAHAHA. sorry, i couldn't keep a straight face
Oh come on Jaws...he took some time off and now understands how to play QB? Seriously? Yeah definitely a good way for most QBs to develop, sit on the bench.
Young to Britt for a TD!
If these guys give C Johnson any more love I'm gonna have to mute it.
I have to agree with Roller on this one.
nice drive by Vince
That Vince Young is good. Where has that VY been?
Roller, then you might not want to watch next week's game. Who gets more love, Brees or Brady?
Pete: That Vince Young has been sitting on a bench going crazy.
Buzz I just heard there's a such thing as Caramel Bacon Popcorn. Since you've obviously had it, does it taste as good as it sounds?
Caramal Popcorn = Good. Bacon on anything = Good. So yes.
Brees deserves more, but I'm sure everyone but me will be praising everything Brady does.
That's illegal procedure against Pete (NC) for looking ahead to next week's game. 5 yards and it remains first down.
Vince looks good! I think he has the physical talent. It seems like most of the issues with him are the mental aspect of the game. Clearly they had little faith in him as a leader if it took as long as it did for him to get in.
Maybe CJ deserves the love? He's a beast, top 10 player in the NFL.
Can we finally consider Chris Johnson a top 5 back in the NFL?
Braden: I think we can. AP is of course first. But yeah, I think there is definitly a spot there for CJ.
CJ is only 2nd to AP. Personally i think they are both 1.
Doesn't everyone in American have a Snuggie by now? Do they really still need to advertise?
Well they started to advertise snuggies for dogs so clearly they are moving into a new market
Ahhh snuggies, for those too lazy to turn their robes around to wear backwards.
Titans D dominating all of a sudden. Going to get decent field position again.
Or not. Good punt. VY has it at the 16.
84 yards is nothing for the next great QB in this league!
That's a personal foul against Buzz for implying that everyone in America has a Snuggie when in fact there are a large percentage of people who know better than to buy something like that. 15 yards and don't let it happen again.
Next great QB? Gimme a break!
anti-me....sarcasm. look it up. google it.
Brian Cushing is really starting to SHINE!
Cushing is a beast.
vince young qb of the future which is now
oww that guy hits hard
schaub has been throwing low all night long now
That's the Steve Slaton we all know and love
That's 15 yards against "Chris Johnson" for whining about getting hit. Grow up. Repeat 1st down.
Chris, that better not have been a tweet from the bench, or else you'll be sitting there a lot longer than you had imagined.
This game is getting kind of boring kind of fast.
That helps. Andre Johnson TD!
you were saying buzz
the jinx strikes again. good job, buzz!
wow perfectly executed
Your move, Vince.
Chris Johnson will get a 50 plus yard touchdown before the game is over
The Titans' secondary may be healthy now, but still looks terrible.
This game has more fireworks than one would expect to find at their local firework store around the time of our great nation's birthday as an independent nation
Woo Ha! Chris Johnson held in check!
How many times are the guys going to say "Mike Heimendinger"
There's the Chris Johnson we all know and love.
And just like that the Titans are in the red zone again.
Chris Johnson is a freak.
LenDale White with the 1 yard run for a TD.
Chris Johnson does all the work, Lendale White gets the glory
If you had said in the beginning of the season that Vince Young would be back as Tennessee's starting QB and that he helped turn the team around they would have put you in a straight jacket and placed you in a padded room.
I smell a hail mary.
What? That's kind of weak. Halftime.
Is Les Miles coaching the Texans tonight?
Gonna take a break and load up on Dr. Pepper and Doritos.
And we're back
People need to stop with the changing Thanksgiving game. Isn't that what the third game was started for?
You watched halftime. Bonus points.
To everyone who thinks they should take the thanksgiving game away from Detroit--what is wrong with you? Give Detroit something, have some respect for tradition--Detroit CREATED the game altogether idiots.
Vince young getting some good throws downfield tonight. That's a great sign for the Titans. Should be opening things up a bit for Johnson.
And on the 8th day, God created the Thanksgiving matchups
Vince Young tapped on the way out of bounds by Cushing ... 15 yards.
My vote for Thanksgiving games would be a "rematch" of the AFC and NFC Championship games. Easily scheduled, and at least has some good games. Looking forward to the Pack cleaning up on the Lions..
Vince fumbles. Texans recover.
They should have the worst two teams from the previous year play and the losers gets relegated to the CFL. The winner gets to eat turkey. Loser gets to have Canadian Bacon or ham as normal people call it.
The Lions on turkey day is perfect. I can pretend to be interested if some random family member is getting on my nerves but can easily take a post-trytophane nap without worrying about missing anything important
They should have the Cowboys and Lions games. Pass me a turkey leg.
They need to let Slaton run more. He looks good.
And Brown misses the 49-yard FG. Still tied with 8:08 left in the 3rd Q.
Anyone have $29.95 I can borrow?
You'll have to excuse Kris Brown. He thought he was still in Indianapolis. Hahahahaha
Bad throw by Vince .. even worse INT attempt by Robinson.
Flashes of Texas Longhorns game right there.
Vince Young single-handedly keeping this drive alive.
Buzz whats up why U need $$29.95 2what am I missing???
Keep getting toy commercials here in the Northeast.
So apparently the run only works if it's a broken play.
I still can't believe Young is starting? Consdiering they were trying to trade him at one point, and now he is their QB of the future
Bironas with a 50-yarder right down the middle to give the Titans a 17-14 lead with 2:49 left in the 3rd Q.
Vince, Vince, he's our man, if he can't do it, maybe Kerry can
I bet Pete Carol isn't surprised VY is starting and the QB of the future for Tennessee.
Okay, for real, Andre Johnson only needs 1 more yard and I tie. 11 more for the win. It has to happen, right?
Vince Young adds another dimension, the dimension unfortunately is one containing qualities of an awful quarterback.
im tired of buzz letting these homers type all day. give the qb credit where it's due.. arent they winning? because of VY right now? getouttahere
Man that New Jersey Devil SportsCenter commercial is awesome, always makes me laugh.
how is any awful qb in the league 21-11?
Jay, you think that having the ability to run for first downs every now and then is a quality of a bad QB??
Vince Young = Roger Staubach without all the baggage
Huge play to Andre Johnson on 3rd and 1 ... first and goal Texans!
Man the Titans secondary has been awful this year
There's your Andre Johnson points.
if the Titans hold them to a FG here I'll be extremely impressed
Eh, dessy have you seen our red zone offense this year? This is where we lose games!
FG to tie the game at 17-17. End of 3rd Q.
Hey, has anyone seen Momentum lately?
i smell a 20-20, going to overtime, does anyone really want to win this game, type of ending
Over/Under on VY's rushing yardage in the 4th Q against Houston is 50 yards + a TD.
Texans red zone playcalling = fail
VY breaks 100 yards! Hall of Fame!
Will it be Andre or Chris who takes over this ball game?
We usually do the goal line fumble play. I'm glad we're kicking field goals now.
VY has almost as many rushing yards as both Houston's RB's he is 1 yard short of passing them
Did we just see Captain Kangaroo?
Santa Claus' brother at the game
Mr. Dunta Robinson is having a bad day for the Texans
Just seems its the little things the Texans are missing, making dumb penalties, missing key interceptions
Which team wants to beat themselves more....
Ugh.. Drive killing penalty..
Johnson is having the quitest 100+ rushing yard game ever.
Contain Vince Young, win the game...
Bironas wide left ... this game is going to go down to the wire.
Give credit to the Texans D on that Buzz. Seems like they are the first team in a while to at least contain him so far
Pollard stops another drive
Pollard is all over the place!
i was just thinking to myself that the only thing this game needed to become an instant classic was a missed FG. we are being spoiled tonight, gang. at least by last week's standards
The Titans are doing everything they were supposed to do ... getting downfield passes ... pressure on Schaub ... this is their game to win.
Keith Bullock is amazing in coverage!
Does this game even matter, both of these team are not going anywhere. They only look good playing each other.
Another first down scramble by VY. That sure comes in handy.
If Vince wasn't scrambling the titans wouldn't be able to make any 1st downs practically
40 more yards and VY has 100 yards passing and rushing
come on, geek. this is a preview of the AFC Title Game
Johnson has taken a beating this game. Hes gotta get to the outside more cuz hes not getting alot of explosion up the middle against this D
I could see a long drive chewing up the clock.... Score and turn the ball over with 2:00 to go to tie..
Ouch. Trick play wasted on delay of game.
You can't stop vince, you can only hope to trip him
trip me once shame on me, trip me twice shame on you
Momentum!!!! Hello!!!??? Are you there???!!!
Can't see either of these teams playing for anything but the first draft choice.
Game winning drive time for the Texans. Show that you are wild card worthy this year.
Umm.. @geek.empire.. you missed the lions browns game
wow. gotta catch the ball BEFORE you can run with it. another punt. sweet
how about no pedictable first down run to Chris Johnson this time.. thanks!
although no one out on the playing field seems to care much, Fisher's stache will not let them lose this game
The only thing about this game is I don't think anyone will score enough to beat the over.
That ref won't be working the Superbowl
Johnson at 151 yards. He's had a long night.
Getting close to Bironas time.
Chris Johnson is going to carry the titans the rest of the way
Texans have pretty much kept chris johnson in check besides a couple long runs......which u can obviously expect from him
Yeah, they held him to only 150 yards. What an effort.
Thats a catch
no doubt that was a catch
In check? He's got 150 yards on the ground with over 5 yards a carry. He's in check only in the sense that the Texans have kept the passing game in check
i was just thinking that all this game needed was a good, long replay to keep the rhythm going
That replay official wont be working the superbowl.
hmmm tough call
Big third down here. Don't want OT.
have the texans had the ball this half?
