Morning all! Getting that second cup of Glenn Coffee... who is first?
AJ, thoughts on Steven Jackson? Sell high?
Yes I do. Get out before St. Louis stinks up the joint even worse and his production drops off the cliff.
Who do I play this week, Reggie Bush or Ray Rice?
50-50 call. I go with Bush, simply because McGahee has usurped much of Rice's value lately.
Who's the better pick up for the week, Coffee or Choice?
Taster's Choice for me. I doubt Barber plays a full load, and Coffee hasn't proven himself as of yet.
Who would you suggest starting this week, Kyle Orton (vs. Dal) or Ben Roethlisberger (vs. SD)?
Close call, since Willie Parker's status isn't clear, but I am currently leaning to Orton.
Devory Henderson or Manningham this week as a WR3?
Henderson either gets you zippo or 10 points - he's a boon or bust guy. If that fits in with the rest of your lineup, have at it. Otherwise, Mario.
Do I go with Aaron Rogers or the Sanchize this weekend? Both have tough matchups!
I go with Rodgers. I like Sanchez, but I'm not sure how he does if FORCED to pass, which I can see happening against the Saints.
When will I be playing again? Should my owners hold on for another week or so or drop me for other options like A.Caldwell, Sidney Rice or Jacoby Jones?
WR's like Moore are replaceable. I'd not hold on to him if I could take a chance on upside of Caldwell, for example.
Cedric Benson is the projected points leader for week 4. You buying it?
Buying it? I am the one who put it on the market in the first place.
Any Value the rest of the year for me?
Not so much. I run scared from all things Browns.
Hi AJ, i have the Vikings D playing...is it better to start Ryan Grant, who if he scores will take away points from the D, or Ricky Williams, since the Fins will probably run a lot? Thanks.
At the same time, if he fumbles you don't lose points. I don't think you worry about a defense double-dip. You start your best options... but I think you are right that for this week Ricky might well BE the best option.
Would you give Run DMC another shot and start him over Pierre Thomas or Kevin Smith this week?
Over Smith, with the injury concern, yes. Over Thomas who had a great second half last week...no.
Josh Morgan didn't make the top 50, but Avery slid in at 49. How much difference is there between the two?
Not much. Both are probably only even in the discussion at all due to byes.
Hey aj do you think picking up maurice morris would be good because of kevin smiths injuries I have an open spot.
Not just good, but essential.
Dare I sit Andre Johnson going against Nnamdi Asomugha in favor of a juicy matchup (E. Bennett against laughable Lions D)? Last year AJ had 2 for 19 in championship game.
I don't sit him - but it's true that Daniels and Walter have more value with Nnamdi and friends focusing on AJ.
questionable bradshaw agains kc or rookie moreno vs dallas?
I'd go with Moreno. I know he's playing... Ahmad, not so much.
Manningham or Harvin this week?
I go with Percy, but at some point that run will stop. I'm going to ride it until it does, though.
Kevin Walter or Devin Hester for the rest of the season?
Barring another injury,I don't hesitate to say Walter.
Trade Garrard for Kevin Walter? I already have Flacco and need WR help. Thanks!
... and I'd definitely do this as well.
jackson or lynch?
This week, stick with Fred. After this week we'll reassess.
Will Leon Washington find the endzone against NO? I guess your projections say no. What do you say?
So hard to project who scores TDs each week. A WR can get to the one four times and not get in. Go by the touches and yardage... don't worry about TDs in projections. They're gravy.
Whitten or Shockey this week?
I like Witten every week. Been burned by Shockey far too many times.
Santonio Holmes vs SD or Santana Moss vs TB this week? The Bucs have given up a lot of big plays this year.
Indeed, and Jason Campbell has done well to find Moss lately.
Kevin Walters or Mike Sims Walker this week?
Especially with Nnamdi on tap, I'd go with Walter. Not all that sold on the MSW yet.
Edelman or Bryant Johnson?
Bryant Johnson - even if Welker sits, Edelman is not going to have another day like when he unexpectedly starred.
Why do you answer so many questions relating to starting Guy A vs Guy B? Can't people just look at the rankings?
Unfortunately, a) people ask those questions more than any other and b) I usually assume the part 2 to all those Q's is a reason why, and I try to give it when I can.
mccoy or coffee the rest of the year?
McCoy over the long haul. Gore will be back, Westbrook will get hurt again.
AJ...forte owner....drop beanie wells to pick up "the other AP"?...potentially future running back vs. peace of mind...
I think I'd go with Beanie. Last week's workload was the exception rather than the rule. AP2 has proven in the past he's not worth it.
Will I take over this year?
No. You may get time when Portis can't go... just like any other No. 2. However, there won't be a full-on coronation in DC.
Garcon for Coffee a fair deal? What about Lynch for Roy Williams?
Need deals are always fair. I've no problem on the face with either.
Rank 'em for this week, one half ppr: Ray Rice at NE, Thomas Jones at NO, Ahmad Bradshaw at KC.
I'll go TJ, the Ray, then Ahmad.
AJ, please rank these backs for the rest of the season. LT2, Parker & Moreno
Gotta have some faith in Tomlinson, since Sproles can't do it on his own IMO... but I'd go with Moreno over Parker.
Steven Jackson or Vincent Jackson, rest of year?
Sing for VJ... top 10 WR at end of year.
Is Chris Brown now worth a start in any match-up, and who should be my number 2, Benson, or Ronnie Brown.
No he is not. I'd go with Benson this week over Ronnie.
Henne over Campbell the rest of the year? I have Campbell backing up Eli in a 16 team league, and Henne gets the Bucs in week 10.
So, you're not looking at the rest of the year, really. Just the one week... and since I can't forecast injuries six weeks down the line, I'll stick with Jason.
Vernon Davis - you think he's turned a corner, or did he just forget who he was?
I think he's turned a cormer, though if the Coffee gets cold, I'm not sure he'll continue to do as well.
Me or Royal this season?
Rolling with not-so-negative Nate.
Who would you rather have for theis season D Ward or Beanie?
Beanie. Cadillac has turned the 3-headed monster into a 2, and it's not long before it becomes a solo act.
What are the chances Bowe plays this week? Even if he does, do you play Bess over him?
It's probably going to end up being a game-time decision, which for me is as good as saying he's not the greatest option... but with Henne being an unknown X-factor, I'll wait to Sunday. If Bowe practices at all Friday, I might roll with him when the games kickoff.
Who you taking for the rest of the year, Felix Jones, Cadillac, or Larry Johnson.
Right now, it's Caddy.
How long until Royal becomes a safe drop? I hate to drop a guy who COULD be great, but I'm doubting if he ever WILL this year...
Look, the idea with drops is to make them to improve your team. If there's a guy on the wire who makes your team better right now, you make the move. Will Royal come around? A little bit, I do think - but not all that much. The rotation in Denver is not spinning in his direction.
Does DA make a difference for Clev.? Thinking about rolling with that Cincy D.
No, but he'll throw more than Brady --- probably hitting the guys in stripes more than his own guys.
Titans D or Jets D ?
I have the same choice in my long-time keeper league, and I'm going Tenn.
DA hitting referees???
Referees, sideline reporters, kids in the fifth row...
AJ, Burelson and Manningham are always so close in the rankings, who to start this week? Burelson seems like he could get a bunch of garbage time stats.
Indeed, and the Giants could be up enough to hand it to Gartrell all 4th quarter long...
Do you like Donnie Avery or Donald Brown in a PPR league this weekend as a flex play?
I go with Brown... either way (ahead or behind) he'll get nearly all the 4th Q stats.
Do you start me against the Ravens of Jersey or Joe Flacco against the Pats?
I can't sit Brees at home, regardless of the opponent.
Please pick 2 from my ugly bench: Braylon, Knox and Sims-Walker.
Sorry Mr. Edwards...
Buckhalter or J. Lewis?
Right now, it's Correll time.
Is C. Benson for real? Should I drop M. Lynch or Westbrook to get him?
Given the matchup, yes. I'd not cut either of those two you mentioned for him... but this week I do start him of the 3.
A. Bryant gonna have some value at some point this season?
Hopefully, now that Leftwich is out of the equation... but I'm not holding my breath on this one.
any point to hanging on to me?
Only in keeper leagues.
Jamarcus is terrible and can't get me the ball. Will I turn it around this year?
Not as long as Al Davis' puppet-man continues to trot JaMarcus out there and then have him go 2-for-20 every game.
AJ -- DA comments have me rolling! Can you see Mewelde Moore emerging as the best option in Pitt this year -- the other guys seem either unhealthy or unmotivated.
It all rests on Parker's toe. If he's dressing, he gets 15 carries... not enough for Moore to be relevant.
Come on guys - please stop asking these "should I start A or B" questions. That's why ESPN gives us the weekly rankings...AJ - who do you like as a guy to stash in a deep PPR league: Mike Bell, Justin Forsett, or Jamaal Charles? Love your chats, man!
Thanks... I'm a staunch believer in Julius Jones... as in, he's not a good RB. Give me Forsett.
Can Houston stop the run this week with horrible Jamarcus in town?
Can a moist paper towel stop a "light brick"? They can't stop them... but Cable will still refuse to run the ball. It's bizarro world in Oakland.
Does the Saints DST continue to put up solid numbers for the rest of the year? Is their value contingent on the offense putting up big #s and other teams having to play catch up?
Actually, in many ways I think the converse it true. Up 28-0 at the half will lead to plenty of soft coverages in the second halves of games. I think if you assign points to YA, they are an average D.
Buzzer Beater, Is Lee Evans or Knox a better play this week? Plus what happened to Lee Evans? Thanks
It' the TO show... especially when he gets no catches, he still demands more and more attention from Trent Edwards. I go Knox.
That's my time for the day, gang. Thanks muchly for stopping by. Feel free to find me on Twitter, and we'll see you the next time on "Villa Alegre"
