Chat with Pat Yasinskas

Jerry (Metairie, LA)

Do you think that the NFL now understands that you do not have to be 6'5 to be a successful QB(Drew Breeseis 6'0). Will this help future draft choices?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:47 PM)

Might help some guys in the future. But Brees is an exception. Guys with his instincts don't come along often. Welcome to this week's chat.

elliott (NOLA)

Pat will you be at the game mon nite/ I will be there go saints

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:48 PM)

Yep, I'll be there.

Jamie (New Orleans)

What type of impact do you think FB Heath Evans' placement on IR will have on the Saints' offense and how should they attack a very respectable Falcons' defense?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:49 PM)

It's obviously going to hurt. Evans did a lot of good things for that offense. But I think they can survive it.

Kevin (Atlanta,GA)

What truth if any do you believe that the Glazers are "mailing the season in" this year just to get say a Bill Cowher or Shannahan type coach in here next year with lots of cap space and primo draft selections?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:50 PM)

No truth at all.

John (New Orleans)

Pat, what are your thoughts on Jabari Greer's performance so far this season? Seems to me he is on track to having a probowl year.

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:51 PM)

I think he's having a Pro Bowl season. One of the best pickups around the league in free agency.

Ross (NC)

Chances that Delhomme get's sent to the showers early this week?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:52 PM)

If he starts off with an INT or two early, I think Fox has to pull the plug.

Sam (Apex, NC)

Thanks for kicking off early the only thing I look forward to more than the weekly chat are the games

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:52 PM)

Thanks. I enjoy the chats, too. You guys, and girls, are a great group.

Loren (New Orleans)

I don't get it, Pat. Do people not watch the Carolina games? How many times does Jake hit the receivers right in the hands only for it to be deflected into the opposing defenses possession? Yea Jake is responsible for some but it seems more and more of them are receiver's missed routes and slippery hands. I wish people would stop using stat books as the measurement of a players success.

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:52 PM)

This is a valid point, but I think Jake's also at fault for his play.

Jose S. (NYC)

Pat, if Josh Freeman does not show any promise for the remainder of this season and the first half of next, what is the next QB move for the Bucs?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:53 PM)

Hire a new coach and let him pick the QB.

Neil (NOLA)

Pat, putting Brees' and Ryan's respective passing games aside, which running game would take right now? The combination of Bush, Thomas and Bell for the Saints or an explosive, yet struggling Turner for the Falcons?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:54 PM)

Right now, gotta give the edge to the Saints. Turner's just not doing it like he did last year.

Sam (Apex, NC)

John Fox is likely done after the season but what do you think will happen with Marty Hurney?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:55 PM)

Excellent question. I think there's a chance Hurney could survive. I think he's in better graces with the people that matter most.

E. (Tampa)

Michael Clayton's daughter goes is in school with my kid (along with Dungy's son and Grammaticca's son)...oddly enough she's always dropping the crayons. Do you think it's genetic???

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:55 PM)

That's not nice.

Colby ((NC))

Any chance that Jeff Davidson might lose play calling role if he doesn't wake up to Panthers strength in the running game?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:56 PM)

Not in midseason. They don't have anyone else to call plays. Fox is a defensive guy.

DW (Gastonia,NC)

Pat, after reading several articles about the Panthers' QB coach, and former QB coach (McCoy, now OC in Denver and Orton is looking better), I'm wondering how much of Delhomme's issues are directly related to the change. Thoughts?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:57 PM)

Might have some small impact. But Jake's problems really started last year when McCoy was still there. He had the horrible playoff game against Arizona and a bad game against Arizona and another bad one against someone else.

JRozz (Tampa)

Pat after the Bucs go 0 and 16 which coach is most likely going to be replacing Raheem "my team only needs 3 hours of practice during the bye week" Morris?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:58 PM)

Take your pick -- Cowher, Shanahan, Gruden, Dungy ...Joe Gibbs. The rumors will be flying.

Josh Freeman (Tampabay FL)

Hey Pat,Do you think I have what it takes, to show Tampa I am the furture?

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:58 PM)

I don't know. But we're about to find out.

Steve Smith (Car)

How long before I'm asking out???

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:59 PM)

Matter of time.

Jon Fox (Car)

Why can't I adapt??? Have I lost my own message somewhere along the line??

Pat Yasinskas
  (12:59 PM)

That's part of your problem. You've never changed.

Malcolm (Blacksburg,SC)

More likely to be successful coming in as a starter. Sherrod Martin at Safety or Dwayne Jarrett at WR?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:00 PM)

I'd go with Martin.

Stephen (charlotte)

Who is qb for the panthers in 2010 matt moore, a fa, or a rookie qb?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:00 PM)

Way too early to tell because it's going to depend on who's coaching Panthers. But you can eliminate Matt Moore.

Wendell (Liverpool, UK)

Mr. Yasinskas: As a Saints fan, I'm pretty happy with the season so far but the Dolphins exposed some of our weaknesses. Do you think a better team could use the same the gameplan and beat New Orleans?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:01 PM)

True, but look on the bright side. That was a tremendous comeback and shows you what the Saints are made of. Enjoy the moment.

Julius Peppers.... (Car)

Pat, why did it take 7 years for me to have a "light come on"???

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:01 PM)

I think it's kind of flickered off and on for seven years.

Kareem (New Orleans)

Do you think Hardgrove is a decent replacement at DT while Ellis is on the mend?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:02 PM)

Yes, Hargrove's done a nice job this year. He's not Ellis, but he's not bad.

Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)

Well being 6'5 doesn't mean anything either. Derek Anderson is 6'5 and look at what he's done.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:02 PM)

Excellent point.

Justin (WV)

Y doesnt John fox start matt Moore? He is Good

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:03 PM)

Just curious, but why do you (and others) say Matt Moore is good? He's barely played. Have you seen something I haven't or is he just the most popular guy in town because he's the No. 2 QB.

Marc (OC)

Pat, if Freeman comes out and bombs does that signal the end for both coach and GM? Rebuilding is one thing but showing no signs of improvement is totally different. They both have to be on short leashes at this point.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:04 PM)

Yes, I think they've got to win a couple games and create some hope if they're going to keep their jobs.

Kareem (New Orleans)

Do you think that David Thomas getting snaps at full back will give the Saints the same type of threat Evans was?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:05 PM)

No, there will be a drop off. But Payton's a good enough coach to minimize it.

Jim Bates (Tampa, FL)

Pat, how come my man to man schemes don't work? Should I go back to something that does work like the Tampa 2?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:05 PM)

Maybe because you don't have the players to run them???

matt (h-burg)

you put gruden in with the coach's that could replace morris do you really think the bucs would bring him back after one year

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:06 PM)

No, I was just kidding -- throwing every available name out there. Please don't go starting that rumor.

Jose S. (NYC)

Pat, thanks for answering my first Q! So, from what you have seen so far, is Raheem Morris terrible or does he just have a bad team? Both?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:07 PM)

I suspect there's a bit of both at work there.

Taylor (Atlanta)

The biggest question mark for the Falcons is their secondary correct? What is with our pass rush?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:07 PM)

Abraham's been unusually quiet and they don't blitz very often. Might be time for more blitzes.

Brian (Cambridge, MD)

Please give me some valid reason as to why we took Leftwich out to play Johnson??? Leftwich was supposed to be the bridge to Freeman...i feel like we just threw the three games Johnson started right out the window...We could have one against Skins and Panthers with Leftwich...just my opinion

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:09 PM)

Well, they had that Giants game where Leftwich couldn't lead them to a first down until almost the fourth quarter. I think they had no choice but to pull the plug after that.

Taylor (Atlanta)

Will your be at the game this Novemember to witness Michael Vick's return to the GA dome? Im positive he will throw from the wildcat this time to Desean Jackson deep

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:09 PM)

We don't make our schedules that far in advance, but I think it's a pretty safe guess that I'll be there for Vick's return.

Justin (WV)

nothing can be as bad as jake right now????? even if matt wasnt good but he is (based on what ive seen)

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:10 PM)

Agree he showed a little bit. But I saw the kid in practice every day for a couple of years. He's not an NFL starter.

Josh (Pa)

Thanks so much for answering several of my questions, you always do such a great job on here keeping us "small market" Carolina fans in the know. One more question for you Pat... Why, oh why, does it seem like Jon Fox and Marty Hurney took the "safest" way out every time over the years when it came to getting a signal caller??

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:11 PM)

Fox and Hurney always take the safe choice. It's part of their philosophy and their personalities. They'll admit to this. It may end up being their downfall, but it's also been a factor in their success.

Chad (Las Vegas)

Coaches and their costumes. Payton = Superman, Smith = Robin, Fox = Garbage Pail Kid, Morris = Shower curtain from The Karate Kid.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:12 PM)

Not bad.

glenn (nc)

We would like to see Moore because he's played 3 games and won 2 as a starter. Maybe he's a gamer and not much of a practice player. Need to find out

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:12 PM)

Careful what you wish for.

Tim (Los Angeles)

Pat, I thought this year was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the bucs, that was the plan. They fired Gruden because he had no plan, why all the talk so early about changing coaches?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:13 PM)

Human nature when a team is winless. The bar wasn't set real high for Raheem. He just needs to show some hope that the rebuilding is starting to work.

Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)

Pat, you said Matt Ryan won't have "sophomore slump". I really haven't paid attention to his play, but do you think there is a little bit of a sophomore slump going on?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:14 PM)

No, I don't think it's a sophomore slump. Now, he has had some tough moments that I didn't think he'd have, but I think that's mostly because the running game has struggled. Overall, he's been solid.

NOLAmite (New Orleans)

Hey Pat, do you think people are making too big a deal of Reggie saying the Saints "Could" go all the way? It's not like a Joe Namath guarantee... Seems to be it was almost a "gotcha" question from the media to have something to talk about...

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:16 PM)

Well, I don't know the exact circumstances of how Reggie was asked the question. But it wouldn't be the first time the media's been accused of creating something out of nothing.

Kareem (New Orleans)

Do you think Sean Payton has matured as a coach? He has been more balanced and even fired a pal in Gary Gibbs which lead to him cutting his own check to Gregg Williams.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:17 PM)

Yes, great question. If there's an award for Most Improved Coach, Payton would be a lock. I've seen a totally different coach this year. Always was a great offensive mind, but I had some doubts about him as a head coach last year. No doubts now. He's learned from his mistakes and built up the running game and defense. He's also better at reading his team, knowing when to go hard and when to give them a day off. I think that's helped with the injury front.

Nathan (Cary, NC)

You are really down on Matt Moore, but how can he possibly play worse than Delhomme is right now?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:18 PM)

Like I said, careful what you wish for. Don't you think that if Fox thought Moore gave them a better chance than Jake, he'd already be playing?

nano107 (Tampa)

I can't believe how much hype the media has made about the bucs having a bad year. When you rebuild it's a bad year guaranteed!!!! None of the players they purge are in the NFL (Except June-IR)This team was old but with 10 picks next year it's a start. We've had it good for many years, GO BUCS!!!!!

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:20 PM)

A Bucs fan that's still optimistic. Wow.

george (england)

is mike smith a stubborn man? He keeps on maintaining we're a run first team, and that ain't going too well.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:21 PM)

I suspect we're about to see if Smith and Mularkey can adjust. It's clear something's gotta change with that offense.

Mike (Charlotte )

Pat why do you continue to bash Julius Peppers? The guy has really turned it on lately and has given great effort yet you mention Abraham who has 3 sack in your Pro Bowl column, but not Peppers who has double that and a lot more tackles. Your shtick is getting old, I understand bashing him when he is bad, but not when he is 2nd in the NFC in sacks.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:21 PM)

Like it's really helped the 2-4 Panthers?

Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)

How did that NFC Stout comment go with your colleague?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:23 PM)

Stay tuned. I think we'll have more on that before too long!

Chad (Winnipeg)

Hey Pat, great job, i'm a Saints fan, do you think 14-2 or 15-1 is possible? let's not talk about undefeated yet.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:24 PM)

Yes, very possible. I even think 16-0 is possible. But I'm just saying possible because I don't want to make any guarantees like Reggie Bush.

Nathan (Cary, NC)

So Peppers is not helping the 2-4 Panthers, so he gets no credit? And you heaped it on Brees last year whose team went - straight to the bottom of the division?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:25 PM)

Pep's taking up $18 million in cap space. Is that worth five sacks or whatever he's got right now when you're 2-4. I think they could have used that money to fix a lot of holes. If you're making $18 million, you should be carrying your teams to some victories. Can you truly say he's done that?

Clark (High Point )

Pat do you have a grudge against the Panthers organization back from your Observer day, you have always seemed very negative towards them since you have been at ESPN.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:27 PM)

Get real. I praise them when they do well and criticize them when they don't. That's my job. Do it for every team. Think I criticized the Saints and praised the Panthers a lot last year. I can only work with what they give me.

Chris (New Orleans)

Pat, every year, no matter what the success of the saints is, there is always a love to hate fan. Do you think with the lack of impact and the negative attention, that reggie bush is becoming that guy

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:28 PM)

I think that would be safe to say, from what I've seen.

Ryan (Lafayette, La)

I can vouch for you on criticizing the saints last year pat!

JRozz (Tampa)

Pat Roy Miller has 8 more tackles more than Hovan and a sack any chance they finally let this kid most of the snaps him and Wikerson are the 2 bright spots on the D line.Peppers 25 tackles 6 sacks 2 ff Wilkerson 31 tackles 6 sacks 2 ff

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:29 PM)

I like what I've seen out of Roy Miller. One of the few bright spots. Think they've got to start playing him a lot the second half of the season.

Nathan (Cary, NC)

What does the Panther's decisions on how to spend their cap have anything to do with Pepper's individual play?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:32 PM)

Who cares about his individual play? I'm saying they couldn't do a single thing in free agency because of his $18 million. They didn't even have a decent backup when Maake went down. Wouldn't it be nice to be a 5-1 team with ordinary play at defensive end and good play in a lot of other spots than have a DE who's having a sometimes-good year and be 2-4?

Miles R (Charlotte)

Stop HATING on PAT. He is dogging the Panthers because they have done nothing but drive the franchise into the ground and push fan support away for the past 8 months of decisions. I don't like some of the things he says because they are TRUE. It hurts

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:33 PM)

Thank you. And I don't particularly enjoy ripping Panthers because they have a lot of great people. But they're 2-4. It's not like I can go around saying, they're wonderful.

Vance (Greensboro,NC)

why didn't you include Peppers in pro bowl for NFC South. blocked FG, 6 sacks ,1st in NFC South (4nd in NFC ) , FF. What gives?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:33 PM)

If you want to vote for him, vote for him.

Brian (Cambridge, MD)

Love those stats from JRozz!! Do you think it would be smat for the bucs to trade down in the draft and get more picks or pick one of the stud DT's that are going in the top 5 (McCoy and Suh) to pair up with Miller??

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:34 PM)

That's what I'm thinking right now.

andrew (nawlins)

Pat, just to be fair, go ahead and say something critical of the Saints this year. We'll wait patiently while you think about what that might be.....

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:35 PM)

To this point, I've got to be a no comment on that one! They've been pretty close to perfect.

A (NOLA)

Reggie's exact quote. Your thoughts?"Q: Can the Saints, now 6-0, go undefeated?A: Of course my first answer is going to be, 'We're going to take it one game at a time, and that's our mentality" (laughs). I have to say it--if I don't say it, then I'm going to get some hell from teammates. But can we go undefeated? Yes, I do think we have the players, the chemistry, we have the heart and dedication, the coaching staff, we have the players and ..."

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:36 PM)

So basically, he's saying they "could" go undefeated. Nothing wrong with that. Sure, they could go undefeated and would you want him to say anything else?

ATLJBO (Atlanta)

2008 Matt Ryan stats thru 6 games: 1163 yards, 5 TDs, 3 int2009 Matt Ryan stats thru 6 games: 1360 yards, 11 TDs,6 intWhere is this Sophomore Slump talk coming from ? Its more play calling and Micheal Turner then Matt Ryan (why Matt Ryan doses not have gaudy numbers)

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:36 PM)

Agree totally.

Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)

Come on Pat, as a Saints fan I'm not happy with their Special Teams play. Not one bit at all.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:37 PM)

We'll let Lloyd take a shot at the Saints.

Mike (Charlotte )

So Pat you think Jon Abraham should go to the Pro Bowl over Peppers? Please.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:38 PM)

Did I say that??

Bobby Hebert (WWL)

Pat, can you make my case for the HOF? I have been saying the Saints will go to the Super Bowl since the beginning of the year. Come see me Super Sunday, I have to wear a dress during my pregame show if the Saints make the Super Bowl

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:39 PM)

Bobby, I'll see you Monday night in NOLA.

Mike (Charlotte )

Well than clear it up. You mentioned Abraham, but not Peppers, tells us.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:41 PM)

Oh, like there's some big conspiracy by me to keep Peppers out of the Pro Bowl? I don't have time for that. If Pep puts up the stats and the Panthers win some games, then he belongs. If not, no.

Vance (Greensboro,NC)

Im still think your cool Pat, keep it real. I like that.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:41 PM)

You're cool, too.

Sam (Apex, NC)

Guys chill out on the Peppers stuff its getting annoying.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:42 PM)

Good point, Sam. Lots of more important stuff to talk about.

Nate Morton (Palmer, Alaska)

Come on Pat, you see the question, you know you want to answer it. 8 weeks, 3 different starting quarterbacks, no injuries to any of them, when's the last time this happened if ever???

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:43 PM)

Not sure. Good question. I'll check with our stats people. If anybody out there knows the answer, share it.

Mike (Ohio)

Pat, not a question but a comment since this is a Louisiana related chat. Just wanted to tell everyone to check out Wright Thompson's OTL story on LSU leged Billy Cannon on the front page of espn.com. Great story.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:43 PM)

Thanks. I'll have to check it out. Wright's an excellent writer.

Patrick (Charlotte)

am i cool?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:43 PM)

Cool first name.

Alex (Metairie, LA)

Do you think that Heath Evans' injury is a big deal?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:44 PM)

It's going to have an impact. Evans did a lot of things very well. But I think Payton is a good enough coach that he can figure out ways to survive it.

Mark (Dallas)

I know you don't make predictions, but what do you expect to see Monday Night? Any key things to look for?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:45 PM)

Atlanta's CBs. It's all about if they can even contain New Orleans' passing game.

Jason (Jacksonville)

Pat, I really like the way you have been answering the questions today. Got a little bit of a fire to them. I would like to see what Matt Moore could do with half a season just as much as anyone but people need to understand you live in die by the sword and Jake Delhomme is John Fox's sword.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:46 PM)

Your last line pretty much sums it all up.

Patrick (Charlotte)

Panthers in 2007 went through Testeverde, Moore, and Carr. No injuries

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:46 PM)

Not quite. Carr was injured, badly. I think injuries might have factored into them going to Moore from Testaverde, too.

Joshua (Atlanta)

Pat will the Falcons at Saints game be a blow out or a close game. Falcons got their teeth kicked in by the Cowgirls and the Saints had a emotional come back when that can be draining. Would it be possible for the Falcons to come out of no-where at beat up on those soft Saints?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:48 PM)

Think it would be tough for anybody to "beat up" on the Saints. But I think the Falcons may be extra motivated after last week and with this being a big division game. Can they win? It's possible. Just doing my Reggie Bush talk here. Anything's "possible".

Paul (Gastonia )

Pat why every time some fan brings up Matt Moore you completely discredit him, saying how he is not good and was undrafted. First since when does not being drafted not make you not viable, ever heard of Kurt Warner. Fact is the kid showed something in 07, yet when a fans say they should start him you say he sucks and was undrafted for a reason.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:49 PM)

Tell you what, when Matt Moore comes in and starts throwing for 400 yards a game and Panthers finish 12-4, feel free to remind me. But that's enough Matt Moore talk for now.

andrew (nawlins)

Wasn't Weinke in that mix of QBs, too

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:50 PM)

No, not in 07. They let Weinke go after 06 and brought in Carr. He was supposed to be the savior.

Nate Morton (Palmer, Alaska)

Pat, thanks for putting the question on your chat board about the 3 QB's. I'm so cool now I had to post on my Facebook I made it on with Pat Yasinskas!! Whoop Whoop!!

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:51 PM)

Cool. We'll friend me on Facebook.

Mark H (Greensboro, NC)

Hey, just read where Muhammad is not expected to play Sunday. How do you think Jarrett will do?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:52 PM)

Wish I could say Jarrett will come in and catch 12 balls for 150 yards and three TDs. But have any of us seen anything out of Jarrett to make us believe this is a good thing.

Jaquay (Charlotte,NC)

Do I just have to keep sending in questions to get answered? I'm curious.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:53 PM)

Yes, and this goes for all of you, if I don't answer your question, feel free to re-send it. There are more than 600 questions on here right now, so I don't get a chance to read every one. I try to hit as many as possible.

steve (ny)

If this chat is all about the NFC South, why isnt it titled as such? How do you think Thomas and Bell will do against Atlanta's run D this week?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:54 PM)

Yes, this is a weekly chat on the NFC South. I'd think Thomas and Bell should fare well against Atlanta's defense.

jimmy (Pensacola,Fl)

Pat, what is your honest opinion of Josh Freeman's ability

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:56 PM)

Totally honestly, I don't know yet. I've seen him in practice and he looks the part. But I don't think anybody knows what he's got until he's really out there.

Chad (Las Vegas)

You just asked for people copying and pasting their question 100 times.

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:57 PM)

Oh, believe me, there's already some of that. But, hey, it counts in our traffic numbers. Couple more questions before it's time to run.

Brandon (VA)

Your thoughts on Tye Hill this week? does he start?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:57 PM)

No, if coaches thought he had anything, Hill already would have been starting.

Garry (Charlotte )

Pat, when is ESPN actually gonna send you to do a Panthers game? Will you be at the Saints and Panthers game next week?

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:58 PM)

Yes, I'm scheduled to be there next week.

stephen salvo (Connecticut)

Hey pat, love the blog. im a worried Atlanta fan, and am worried about the game monday, why has ther been such lack of success in the running game? facing more 3-4 defenses? Is it me or is Matt ryan making some questionable decisions sometimes? I want you thoughts. Thanks

Pat Yasinskas
  (1:59 PM)

Thought Ryan made bad decisions, like I'd never seen him make before, against the Cowboys. Have to think it's because he's not getting help from running game.

Bill (Laplace, LA)

Pat, were the Cowboys that good, or did Atl have a bad day?

Pat Yasinskas
  (2:00 PM)

I'm not sold on Cowboys. Have to go with ATL having bad day.

Brian (Cambridge, MD)

I know your about to leave come on answer this....What happened to Derrick Ward?? It is not a good sign...he was the first move made by the new GM-HC regime and it's not looking so good right now!!

Pat Yasinskas
  (2:01 PM)

Yep, I think you could call Ward a big disappointment. Lot of money for a backup. They thought he would be the go-to guy and he's not even close.

jimmy (Pensacola,Fl)

It's time to go enjoy the weekend Pat thanks see you next week

Pat Yasinskas
  (2:02 PM)

Thanks Jimmy and thanks to all. We'll see you again next week.
