Chat with Paul Kuharsky

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

Greetings fine people. Column coming shortly on Larry Coyer. I am not close to being ready for Saturday departure for Miami. We're expecting an ice storm in Nashvegas tomorrow. Onto you...

Finley (Via Mobile)

I am all packed. Got my T-Rac outfit, grabbed your VY Jersey and I am ready to go. When do we leave for Miami?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

You couldn't last a second in one of those mesh bags everyone is carrying their dogs through the airports in these days.

Frank (Dallas)

Why do think Kevin Walter had such a sub par year last season? Even when Daniels went down, he still did not seem to get targeted as much as the previous year.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

It's a good question. Maybe he needs Daniels and a run game to be more effective.

Ashley (Brooklyn)

How worried should the Colts be about Gregg William's stated philosophy to deliver "remember me shots" to Peyton Manning and knock him out of the game? Will the offensive line protect him better than the Vikings line protected Brett Favre?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

I think the Colts proved last week they don't worry about talk. The Colts almost always protect well.

d1amond12 (CHAPEL HILL, TN)

After the past season's dismal coaching from Jeff Fisher, he starts by firing his coach that did the best job. We had no problems with the RB aspect of the Titan's game. If he had replaced the secondary coach, or special teams coach that would be one thing. But why try to fix what just is not broke? Is Fisher becoming the Al Davis of head coaches? Those that defend him are stuck on his tenure. But Fish did a terrible job of coaching and talent evaluation in 2009. And he seems as if it carrying over into the off season.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:05 PM)

Don't you think it's possible there was behind the scenes stuff? If you have a great year, does it guarantee us that your boss was great? The Al Davis of head coaches? Go crazy and take things way too far much?

Mark_V (Maryland)

As you reported Manning and Freeney made the All-Pro Team. Do you have insight into why Marvin Harrison did not make the team? Was he not one of the most dominant WRs this past decade? Saying Terrel "can't catch a cold in Buffalo" Owens was better than Marvin is saying Marvin shot a guy in Philly.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:06 PM)

All-Decade I think you mean. He could be on it. As I wrote, they revealed the guys who are playing in or were elected to the Pro Bowl team who are on it. We learn the rest Sunday night.

Luckyhorseshoe (The Stable)

Hi, do you know who's ref'ing the SB?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

Don't think it comes out until next week.

Jimmy (College Grove, TN)

What is the Titans biggest need in the upcoming draft?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

Depends on what they do with their free agents. DL, LB or CB.

Joe (Nashville)

I was wondering if I could get an update on the injuries to Powers and Freeney, your thoughts on who the Jags should pick in the third round, what is going on with Bullock, and the Texans' needs in the draft. Oh, why can't the Colts get any respect?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

Credit to Joe for actually reading and comprehending the blog. Bravo. You are president of this chat. Get the other people in line, cause some of them are not kidding.

Jose (Baltimore)

Can there be a roughing the passer call on a handoff? I know Big Rex got mad about the Bullitt hit, but seriously? Maybe he was looking for an unnecessary roughness call?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

A personal foul, yes.

Frank (Wisconsin)

How fitting is it that two teams that beat the Titans by large margins (Pats, Chargers) were bounced in the playoffs? I believe, as Gregg Easterbrook might say, the Football Gods exacted their revenge!!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

Please. Those teams were way better off than the Titans all around.

Zach Bolen (Indianapolis)

Do you think the league should taken action for Gregg Williams comments towards Peyton Manning?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:11 PM)

Is there no free speech in America any more? What he said wasn't even that bad. One primary object of defense is to hit the quarterback.

Jesse (Nashville)

Regardless of what happens in Miami.. will Jim Caldwell take NO more heat for mailing it in the last 2 games of the season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:11 PM)

If they lose, he may still take heat. If they win it doesn't justify it either.

Edward (California)

How much did Tice and Pola, formally of the Jaguars, have to do with the offensive playcalling? Will Koetter open things up more next year, especially with more receiver/offensive tackle experience?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

It will be more Koetter's deal for sure. But you need a guy who can makes reads and throws to open it up.

Kevin Costner (Hollywood)

If the Jags don't get Tebow can they still sell out their games by having 8 Kevin Costner days?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

True. You should reach out.

Peyton Manning (Miami)

hey Paul, I've talked to Polian and told him I need your speed at wideout for this game. You come hangout with me after practice and I'll get you ready. Come on you know I can turn any Wr in to gold. I don't want to toot my own horn, but IM the greatest QB to ever play. TOOT TOOTI AM AWESOME

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

Be there in five hours. End chat.

Jordan (Allentown)

What do you think of a Mcnabb for Boldin trade? They both have 1 year left on their contracts so would it work?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

Youth for age though. Not a ridiculous idea.

Ed Huckali (San Diego)

Personal Foul 15 yards "sucking up to the chat host" Replay 1st down

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

Double personal foul: Spelling your name incorrectly.

Chris (Syracuse)

Do the Colts have a legitimate chance to sign both Bethea and Brackett? If not, which one should they focus on signing? I'd say Bethea, simply because of age and the Colts' ability to find linebackers just about anywhere. You?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:15 PM)

No CBA, no cap. No cap, no unrestricted for Bethea. Just restricted.

canadacoug (nc )

are the titans going to make a move anytime soon

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:16 PM)

What would you like them to do?

Richard (Marion, IN)

Hey PK! Just wanted to hear your thoughts on Joseph Addai. Being an avid Colts fan, I hear a lot of people give him grief. But I personally think he's doing a great job: he's a great pass blocker and an effective runner in the redzone. Thanks and take care!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

Yeah, I think he's been more efficient at what he's asked to do than most people realize.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

No generation gap for Colts' Coyer:http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/8873/no-generation-gap-for-colts-coyer

Josh C (Louisville, KY)

Top defensive back free agents this year are...? And are they UFA or RFA?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

Look for a link in Reading the Coverage from this morning.

Scott (IA City)

I apologize for this question on an insignificant player, but is Mitch King still on the Titans? thanks.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

Just signed a futures contract with the Colts, I saw somewhere.

Alex (Miami )

do you think the Colts need to win the super bowl in order to justify them not playing their starters the full season and going for 16-0? or is reaching the super bowl enough?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

If they win it's not because they rested. If they lose it's not because they didn't.

Who Dat? (Orleens)

How effective would screens be to slow down Colts pass rush? Saints ran a beauty for a TD against Vikes.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

Shows down rush, but doesn't get much yardage as backers and DBs shed blocks well, are very fast and rally to the ball very well.

Markus (Saratoga Springs, NY)

Hey Paul, always enjoy your articles and chats. Did it seem to you that the officiating was sub-par in the championship games (calling ticky tacky stuff, not calling the blatant stuff, and blown challenges)? Also, SB...It seems that every time there is a game featuring 2 explosive offenses, it's a defensive struggle, and vice versa. What do you think about this SB? shootout or not?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

Not the shootout a lot of people are imagining, I don't expect. I had no beef with officiating in Indy outside of the missed call against Bullitt.

Sasha (Purdue county)

Paul, who's your pick for the superbowl? I'm debating whether to wear my Brees Purdue jersey or my Manning Colts jersey.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

Tough, tough decision. A third option. Adult clothes. A shirt without names or numbers or logos. It's allowed.

Sebastian (Boston)

What are your thoughts on bringing Daunte Culpepper to New England as a solid veteran back up to Brady? Brian Hoyer isn't exactly a comfortable insurance policy.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

If he wasn't a solid backup to Stafford, what makes you think he's a solid backup to Brady?

Jared (Orlando)

Do you think the Colts should move in a different direction with Bob Sanders? Trade? I mean he has cost the Colts a lot of money for only playing 4 games the past 2 years.?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

People don't generally trade for injury-prone, expensive guys.

Colton (Las Vegas)

At this point, is there any realistic chance that a new CBA could be in place?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

Doesn't seem like.

Lovie Smith (Sleeping on stacks)

Why are Jeff Fisher and I the highest paid coaches in the league?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

You're not close to highest paid, Lovie. You're pretty inexpensive.

Jared (Orlando)

Under rated stat of the AFC game the colts out rushed the Jets! (the #1 rushing offense.)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

How was it underrated? I wrote it 10 seconds if the game was over. Would it have been appropriately rated if I made it five seconds earlier. Three?

Tim Tebow (Florida)

Do you think I have a better shot at playing quarterback or tight end in the nfl?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

I think you're a long-term QB project. That won't work.

Frank (Wisconsin)

Do you read every comment on stories you link on your facebook account? I've read some of the comments and they get way off topic sometimes.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:26 PM)

Generally, yes. If it spirals into a conversation of the merits of Abraham Lincoln, no.

Jason (Bmore)

If you had to rate strictly on potential, who has the most out of Garcon, Gonzo or Collie, and which do you think Manning prefers?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:27 PM)

Not apples to apples to apples there.

Mike (Indy)

Why are so few people talking about the problems the Saints offense can give the Colts defense? Colts D is a much improved unit but that secondary is suspect at best.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

So suspect it gave up the fewest big plays of any defense in the league. And lost zero games when trying to win. Certain the Saints will challenge them. But don't deflate something that's shown no real holes.

Casey (Indy)

Does anybody besides me think that they handed out Coach of the Year honors a little early this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

Nope. Right on schedule. It's not a post season award, chief.

Matt (IN)

Help me PK. I've been stuck in a meeting for 2 hours. What do you think about the signing of Randy Winn?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

Not real fired up about it, but he can be a bit player.

Colton (Las Vegas)

PK, what individual/positional matchups are you most looking forward to seeing during the SB? For me its the colts D-line vs Saints O-line, esepcially Freeney vs Bushrod and the underrated colts DTs vs OG Evans.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:31 PM)

I'm not really a pick-my-favorite-matchup type. I'm almost always going to pick top corner vs. top receiver. Like most people, I generally watch the ball. So I can't pretend I'm studying an interior line matchup on every play and swept away by it.

Greg (Indy)

Paul quit being wuss and pick a team to win. You'll pick the division order, but wont pick the winner of a game. Noodle Arms

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:31 PM)

Have you met me? Welcome to my chat, in which I have not picked a single game all season. I don't pick games. If you follow along, you'll get a sense of who I expect to win.

Simon Kuharsky (From Crib)

Finley says we are going to Miami? Is it true?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:32 PM)

No, pal. Finley is a storyteller.

Frank (Wisconsin)

Paul, I think I'm going to make my first pilgrimage to LP Field this upcoming season. Any recommendations as to seat location in the stadium?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:32 PM)

Be aware of the sun and whether you want to be in it or not.

Peyton Manning (Indianapolis)

PK, How much of a problem will Darren Sharper be for me in the Super Bowl?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:33 PM)

You're going to have to account for him, of course. But he's not the first ball-hawking safety you've seen.

Lucas (Indy)

Can the Colts youngsters hold on to the ball against Saints tackling better than Vikes did?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:33 PM)

Yes.

Emmanuel (Las Vegas, NV)

Have you heard any scouting developments from the Senior Bowl regarding the division and what are the Jags planning to do with their third round pick?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

Really even coaches who go there come back and say they need to still watch film to get a sense of a guy. They get to meet some of them and get an initial feel. But there is a general misconception that staffs come back from Mobile and have a much clearer sense of where they are heading. The draft is three months away. Anyone making big judgments now is irresponsible.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

Soliciting "Primary Complaint" candidates. Would love to film one shortly after we are finished. Feeling empty, however.

Lovie Smith (Im rich!)

"Leading the NFL ranks are Chicago's Lovie Smith and Tennessee's Jeff Fisher, who make $5.5 million a year" -Forbes 2009http://www.forbes.com/2009/05/13/highest-paid-coaches-business-sports-nba.html

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

I don't believe it on Smith. Dumb if true.

Finley (via mobile)

Forget the Mesh Bags. Simon said I could travel in his stroller. When do we leave?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

If my "we" you mean "me," Saturday.

Brandon (Jackson, TN)

Collin Cowherd was talking today about how which ever team the media falls in love with usually loses. Such as the Jets, Vikings, Chargers and now the Colts. How do you feel about his theory? I think its just plain dumb.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:37 PM)

Nice fit for what's happened so far in these playoffs. Arizona had that role last year at this stage and how did it go for them?

Jim Irsay (Indianapolis)

PK, I know it's your job, but I wanted to point out how courageous it was of you to sit with Tim Graham last weekend.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:38 PM)

Thanks Jim. Nice job in SI. Some of the lyric quotes were either: a) over my head, or b) nonsensical.

John (Cleveland)

C'mon Paul, Pick the Pro Bowl. Who ya got, NFC or AFC?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:38 PM)

Tie.

Clay (Nashville)

I have a different approach to OT. I don't want it to last forever like college, but I also hate the coin flick(no matter the stats). I would like the game to continue at the end of regulation just like a change between the third and fourth quarters. Get the mandatory TV timeout in, change the end of the field, and use all the OT rules(1 time out, booth reviews, first team to score wins).

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:40 PM)

I don't really get it. If there is no threat of time expiring at the end of the game (and ending what's going on), it's not the end of the game. And it need to be the end of the game.

Super Fan (Indy)

I have heard rumors that the lack of a CBA could potentially keep the Super Bowl from happening in 2012... Is there any truth to these rumors?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:41 PM)

This is the 2011 season we're talking about. If there is no CBA, there will be a lockout, if there is a lockout there aren't games, if there are no games there is no Super Bowl.

Will (Syracuse)

Should The Bills Draft A Quarterback?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:41 PM)

Yes.

Awayne (INDY)

Unless something unusual happens this week at what point do you think to yourself I wish they would just play already so I don't have to keep coming up with stuff to write about?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

I love each and every day and the opportunity it grants me to write for you fine folks.

John (League City, Texas )

Paul, I read that when considering which players should be voted to the pro bowl, other players and coaches don't put as much research and consideration as AP writers do for the all-pro list. What are your thoughts? Also, I'm just curious. Why didn't DeMeco Ryans get selected for the all pro roster. He had his best year as a pro, lead a defensive unit that ranked 5th overall and 2nd in rushing yards over the past 13 games, and guided Brian Cushing to an outstanding year. I just don't understand the criteria AP writers use to determine the all pro list. Thanks

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

There are 27 All-Pros. There will be 120 Pro Bowlers not counting those who passed. One is unquestionably better than the other. A guy doesn't get an All-Pro spot if the majority of voters think another guy was better. They liked someone better than Ryans. It's not some horrific oversight.

Abraham Lincoln (Ford Theatre)

Four score and seven years ago, I sent you a friend request on Facebook. What's taking so long?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

My personal or professional page, Abe?

Blake (Abilene, TX)

Should the Pro-Bowl be played with shorts and flags?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

Shouldn't be played at all.

AFC QB's (Probowl)

3 of us in 1 game! This must be like Christmas for an AFC blogger!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

Graham will have to tell me all about it.

John (League City, Texas )

Paul, what do you think is still lacking in the Texans' defense? I think pass rushing and forcing more TOs, for sure. Also, how good of a defense will they have next year if they fix those problems? Thanks

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

Free safety. Time to get a guy who can play there. But pass rush too.

Awayne (INDY)

The NFL wants to add another a game to Europe in the coming years why not the Pro Bowl. Some players might not be as quick to turn down a trip to Rome or even London and that way no team loses out on a home game ect...Your thoughts?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

You say "Rome" to these guys and more than half think "Jim." There was nothing wrong with Hawaii, which is why they are gong back the next two years.

Dustin (Stanford CA)

Hey Paul any chance you are going to do re-grades of past drafts (07-09) for all of the teams in the division?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

I sure hope so.

Greg Ballard (Indy)

I would like to add to Super Fan's question... If there is a lockout in the 2011 season, but the league resumed play for the 2012 season, would we retain our bid and host SB XLVII?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

Yes. If that Super Bowl is played, it's in Indy.

Robert (Bloomington)

Why never pick a game? For the same reasons the announcers never seem to pick the game they are commenting on?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

If I pick the game, then I end up rooting for what I picked and it gets in the way of me watching what happens. Instead I worry about what I said would happen.

Peyton Manning (Film Room)

So what do you think of Greg Williams announcing he wants his guys to injure me? Classy, no? I am SO telling on him to my dad. Also, do you think I have more than a few seasons left in me? I always said I didn't want to play after my skills start to decline...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

Every defensive coordinator wants to injure the opposing quarterback. I think you have six or seven years.

Colton (Las Vegas)

Anyone in particular that you are looking forward to hearing from on Meida Day?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

Colts assistant coaches who I don't get to talk to.

Larry (Washington DC)

Where would you rather be this weekend...pro bowl (just talking the game itself) or my bachelor party in Atlantic City? Purposely scheduled by my best man since this is truly a dead weekend for football.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

With you, but relocated to Vegas.

Chris Johnson (Fort Lauderdale)

I just woke up -- what have i missed?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

You are a sleepy dude.

Blake (Abilene, TX)

Are there Pro-Bowl cheerleaders?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

Yeah. And mascots.

Tommy (New Orleans)

Born in 1868, I grew up watching Archie Manning and am big fans of Eli and Peyton. But in 10 days, Peyton is the ENEMY and I hope Williams and the Saints get to Peyton!! (sorry not a question)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

You are old. How are you holding up, fine sir?

Kevin Costner (Hollywood)

I'm thinking about hosting a Super Bowl party at one of the hotest nightclubs in Miami. Can i count you in as a co-host?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Sure, unless I have to pay for anything.

John (Cleveland)

I've gotta say Paul, you're a better blogger than Graham in every way except one. He's got better hair.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Not hard to beat me in that category.

Jeff (Indy)

What do you think about the Colts decision to wear blue for the Super Bowl? 1-0 in white, 0-2 in blue

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

I don't think they decide. I think they are home based on the rotating schedule and told to wear dark.

Jordan (Austin, TX)

PK, I get scoffed on all the time for living in Texas and not being a Dallas or Houston fan. What's your take or is it all good for business as long as we all love the same game?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

I think if you don't root for the home team, you need a reasonable rationale. You root for your dad's team, you were born somewhere else, your second-cousin once played for another team, etc...

Jared (Orlando)

Given Peyton's SB ring was against Rex Grossman would a win against this Saints team be a more respectable SB ring and help out his legacy?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:56 PM)

A Super Bowl win is a Super Bowl win. They aren't graded on the quality of the opponent. Are the 85 Bears graded down because those Patriots were bad?

Mark Howard (Nashville)

(Snoring)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:56 PM)

At least the microphone isn't close to your face. Oh, wait. Yes it is.

Pierre Garcon (Indy)

What do think will happen with me and my buddy Austin once Gonzo is healthy again? I sure hope we all get to stay here in this magical football land...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

Hard to know, but it'll be a nice problem to have.

Monte (Lebanon,Tn)

What statement are the Titans making by firing Byner. Do they think he could have produced a better situation than the end product? Your thoughts.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

As I said earlier: Isn't it possible that CJ had a record year and Fisher could have still had behind the scenes issues with Byner. If Monte has a great year, am I to automatically presume his boss is the best ever?

Blake (Abilene, TX)

Diffrent sport, Whats your opinion on the Arenas suspension?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

I'd like them to suspend NBA operations.

Awayne (INDY)

Paul you have some pull IF Jacksonville moves to LA could you talk the commish into realigning divisions with St.Louis,Detroit,Cleveland and Indy being the new Midwest Division.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:00 PM)

Won't happen. Certain teams will never be out of the same division. Cleveland/Pittsburgh or Oakland/KC or Chicago/Green Bay. Why do people obsess about the imperfect geography of the divisions?

Matt (IN)

PFT is reporting that the Colts have worked out Mike McKenzie and (oh no) Jason David? Coincidentally, both are former Saints. Do you think this means that Powers is hurt more seriously than they say?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:02 PM)

If Powers had a broken foot, Lacey starts, Jennings is nickel, Rushing is dime. A McKenzie or David would be inactive, I'd bet. I doubt either is signed. Don't get worked up about it. Teams work players out all the time.

Adam (Louisville, KY)

Almost missed the chat again! Who do you think the Colts' top 6 players will be for the first media day? Garcon worries me that he has talk before I think in him.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:02 PM)

I haven't heard Garcon say much interesting or risky at all, so you lost me there. I would expect a bunch of veterans.

Smitty (Miami, FL)

Is Charlie Johnson the right fit long term for the Colts at LT?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

I don't think so.

Monte (Lebanon,Tn)

Could the tension have included White.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

I don't see why White, who's not gong to be around in all likelihood, would have much to do with it going forward.

Mike (Indy)

More boring/irrelevant, Pro Bowl or Winter Olympics?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

Pro Bowl.

Brandon (Indy)

just wanted to tell you a story PK. i was at the pacer game last night.. and at the end of the 3rd they showed a few colts players in the stands including reggie and pierre. 3 min standing ovation.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

You and the other 10 people there?

Jake (Fishers, IN)

If there's a lockout in 2011, the super bowl scheduled to be in Indy in 2012 will be pushed back to 2013.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

Is that correct? So they've covered Dallas' behind I guess that means? Apologies.

Tommy (New Orleans)

Let's try this again! Born in New Orleans 1968. Archie, Eli and Peyton Fans...But Peyton is the Freaken Enemy on SB Sunday!

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:05 PM)

As he should be.

Bill Polian (Indy)

I caught another video of Jeff Fisher wearing/possessing a No. 18 jersey... Is he ill? (not that I mind...)

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:06 PM)

I was bored by it the first time, so you can imagine how excited I was to hear he'd done it again.

Awayne (INDY)

Is Clint Session one of the best young LBs in the game that nobody outside the AFCS knows about ? Much like Brackett is a star that just isn't recognized by people not around the division.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:06 PM)

They are both quote god, and people all over the league and country know about it if they pay attention.

Kevin Costner (Hollywood)

I have a great idea for a movie. It starts off as the story of a sports blogger and then about 10 minutes in it turns into a western. Can you write the screenplay?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:07 PM)

Will get right on it. Is there a part where we also live on a water city and ride jet skiis?

Archie Manning (New Orleans)

PK, Who should I root for, My son or my former team?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:08 PM)

Unquestionably your son. How do you root against your kid How would anyone expect you to?

Frank Wycheck (via mobile)

I like Costner's idea. Me and you and Tim Graham will form a posse, although Graham will have to dress up like a rodeo clown.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

Good idea. Too bad you've already forgotten it!

Josh (Houston)

You've said that you don't see a salary cap in any new CBA, do you think there may be a rookie cap though?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:09 PM)

Restrictions, yes. And I have heard some things now that perhaps a cap could come back.

Adam (Louisville, KY)

What do you make of the monster ratings the Championship games got last weekend?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:10 PM)

People love the NFL and love TV.

Awayne (INDY)

Bigger suprise, anyone in the Colts organization saying anything even remotely quoteable or snow in Miami on Super Sunday?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:10 PM)

Snow.

Kevin Kitchen (New Orleans)

Can you get me a free ticket to the SB?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:11 PM)

Because I have so many or out of our long-term friendship?

HANK (CLEVLAND)

IMPACT OF MIKE HOLGREM ON ORGANIZATION?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:11 PM)

Better than the last 10 guys. But he wasn't a good administrator in Green Bay, so I didn't really understand the hire.

Mike (Indy)

Could it make any less sense for the NFL and Players Association to allow a lockout, no product on the field for a year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:12 PM)

It wouldn't have to last a whole year. It could end any time they reached an agreement, like any strike or lockout.

Adam (Louisville, KY)

Where will you be in Landshark Stadium? Pressbox? Sideline? 50 yard line?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:12 PM)

Press box or auxiliary press box.

Baker (VA)

Any chances the Titans are gonna pick up some talent in this off season?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:14 PM)

Nope. They are going to pass when their name is called on draft day, open the gates and let everyone who can leave go, cut a bunch of guys and attempt to keep the roster number as low as possible.

Awayne (INDY)

Is the Indy Super Bowl 2012 onetime shot or do you think Indy can impress the league enough to get in the roation for further years?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:14 PM)

It won't be a regular. The don't want to do a cold weather city very often.

Matt (IN)

Did the press box shake last Sunday? The dome used to shake all the time, but last week was the first time I'd ever felt Lucas Oil do that. Big props to my fellow Colts fans for bringing the noise. It was great.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:15 PM)

Nope. No movement at all.

Josh (Houston)

Considering the fact that I haven't seen any mock draft get even the top 10 right, much less the whole first round, why do so many of them still exist? (And why do I actually read them to see who my team is going to pick?)

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:15 PM)

Answered your own question there chief.

NFL fan (Bronx NY)

Can u do a promo to win tickets to either the Probowl or the Superbowl?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:16 PM)

Sure. Except for the part where I produce the tickets.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:17 PM)

OK folks. See you next week from Miami. Be well. Thank you for your attendance and participation.
