Chat with Andrew Siciliano

Andrew
  (12:00 PM)

Good morning/afternoon everybody

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Which NFL teams will select QBs Colt McCoy

Andrew
  (12:02 PM)

won't be the rams. people say vikings...i don't buy that. the cheifs make sense with CW there, but they have a lot of money tied up with cassel. i'd say browns, raiders, or bills

Jared Brass (Anaheim, CA)

Hey Andrew, do the Lakers need to go deeper into their bench with the way everybody is playing. Pau is only the consistant player. We know Artest is basically the only one that can handle Durant. But i know Josh Powell could help this team out a lot with his energy and shooting. Should Phil Jackson go to him to match him up with Ibaka?

Andrew
  (12:04 PM)

how much deeper do you want to go? sasha is hurt...walton hasn't done much, if anything, since he returned. DJ has no offensive game. josh powell isn't defending anyone. yes, he has a quick trigger on that 15 footer...he loves to shoot...but i can't see phil going too much deeper

David (NYC)

Andrew, sometimes I feel like Kobes skill of being the best difficult shot maker ever turns him into the bad decision maker we saw last night...the game could have been different if he started getting his teammates involved earlier in the qrtr. By the time fisher and artest started hitting shots it was too late...I was very frustrated by this and it seems like Phil cannot overstep his bounds when it comes to kobe...thoughts?

Andrew
  (12:05 PM)

Pau hardly touched the ball in the 4th. for as many difficult shots that kobe took in the 4th qrter, he sill also set up some wide open jumpers for others, as well. artest hit 2 wide up J's in the 4th (both should have been 3's-his fault). kobe takes bad shots when they do'nt go in, right? that said...give durant credit for his 4th qrtr D

George Ashburn (Reynoldsburg OH)

Andrew. Being a fellow Browns Fan, what did you think of their pick of Joe Haden? I thought it was a solid pick myself.

Andrew
  (12:07 PM)

people were in love with wilson...they probably thought 7 was too high to take him. i wouldn't have minded if they traded down a bit. however, haden is the safest corner on the board. he's talented...he played in the sec...he can flat out play. brandon mcdonald isn't a starting CB in the nfl. he can be tolerated as your nickel, however

Mike Markowitz (el segundo, ca)

andrew, where do you think the raiders go next? if clausen is available to them in the 2nd round, do you think they snag him, or an offensive tackle?

Andrew
  (12:08 PM)

OL, DL, Clausen, or just a crazy Al pick. I love what the raiders did. they took a quality football player...with good character. they took a player that nobody can second guess. don't forget they traded for kamerion wimbley as well. their defense took a major step

peter reynoso (los angeles)

its sad that paul only got one Freaken touch in the 4th Qtr!! this team needs to go KOBE less on the 4th and play team ball inside with farmar. hes the only good penetrating and could dish out

Andrew
  (12:09 PM)

that 4th quarter was maddening, frustrating, insert curse word here

Jeremy (Lancaster, PA )

miss you on FSR- who's starting at QB for the Browns week 1? week 10? Have you ordered your Joe Haden jersey yet?

Andrew
  (12:10 PM)

i'm passed the age of buying jerseys....i buy them for my neice these days. now that i think of it, her brady quinn jersey is likely heading to the donation bin

Andrew (Culver City)

What has happened to the Dodger bullpen. Their first four hitters are well over .300 and they are winning below .500. Will the divorce prevent them from getting pitching help?

Andrew
  (12:11 PM)

the bullpen is nuts. there's nobody you can bank on other than JB. jeff weaver should be your long man...not a guy getting critical mid-game outs. they badly need bellasario to return to form. george sherrill will come around..i hope

Paul (San Diego)

Time to put a fork in Brandon Wood?

Andrew
  (12:12 PM)

is .212 bad? ha. i'd give him 2 months.

Frank (Coram, NY)

What is your reaction to the Tebow pick?

Andrew
  (12:12 PM)

I'm glad the broncos found a replacement for peyton hillis

Andrew
  (12:13 PM)

i kid, i kid. i'm not sold on tebow as an nfl quarterback...i doubt he can be that guy. however, i have faith that josh mcdaniels can find ways to win football games with tebow as an effective complimentary player.

Paul (San Diego)

When do you think Mike Scioscia will realize Howie Kendrick should be batting 2nd and not 7th or 8th?

Andrew
  (12:14 PM)

hopefully soon. they miss figgins

Ray (Long Beach)

This Thunder team sure is fun to watch. How long do you think that window will be open for this Laker team before the Thunder take over as the premier team in the West?

Andrew
  (12:16 PM)

the lakers window is open as long as kobe can still lead and carry. gasol and bynum are both in their 20's and operating under long term contracts. kobe bryant and 2 7-footers should always be in the conversation for a title. granted, a new PG might help...

Serg (Sacramento)

Durantula took over last night, 19 boards!

Andrew
  (12:19 PM)

his 4th qrtr D was huge

CRIS (LONG BEACH)

what do you think was the biggest laker mistake last night?

Andrew
  (12:20 PM)

failure to get the ball in the post in the 4th

Pat (DeKalb, IL)

Hi Andrew....who do you see the Bears taking with the 75th pick, or will they trade up into the 2nd round today?

Andrew
  (12:22 PM)

jerry angelo said he's sick of trading away picks. they need a safety

Ray (Long Beach)

The Dodgers despreately need help in both the roation and the bullpen. However, A big name isn't going to be made available till we get closer to the deadline. A. What do you think about packaging up billingsley/Dewitt/a top prospect for ...C. Lee perhaps? and B. Can the Dodgers stay in the hunt that long with their current pitching staff?

Andrew
  (12:23 PM)

cliff lee is hurt...and he wouldn't get traded, period. i'm not against trading billingsley...but his stock is down. also, with the pending divorce i would NOT expect them to take on any salary.

Craig G. (Fairfield, California)

Hey Andrew, do you keep in touch with Tony Bruno still? Both of you are tremendous radio icons in the LA. market and I enjoyed when you worked together in the past.

Andrew
  (12:25 PM)

we still talk...and he's still working hard for you, so tip him well.

snapthejap (Seal Beach, CA)

do you think DET has done enough to be relevant this upcoming season? (still don't see 'em winning more than 6 games-- and nice breakdown on the Dodgers/Lakers)

Andrew
  (12:26 PM)

suh and best...that's a great draft. they don't have to make anymore picks...and they would still have a great draft

William White (Las Vegas, NV)

Do you think we can expect to see Oakland making a run at Clausen or McCoy today? Or is it much more likely we see them wait til a later round to take a QB like LeFevour, Crompton, or Canfield?

Andrew
  (12:27 PM)

i keep hearing browns may trade up to 33. you never know with AL. he might be arrogant enough to ignore qb

Ray (L.A.)

I have been frustrated, like every other Laker fan, watching the team this year. I thought they had a chance to make a statement in the game last night by taking the Thunder apart, but much like their season, they go AWAY from what works (inside out game). Do you think Phil should have taken Kobe out, when we all could see that he was waging a one man battle against Durant? Which by all counts He lost. And as a result the Lakers lost. Great job Phil and Kobe.

Andrew
  (12:29 PM)

take kobe out? really? look, the 4th quarter was bad. but here's a stat for you: Last 5 times Lakers went up 2-0 in a series, they lost Game 3 all 5 times. Won all 5 series...

Dallas Braden (Oakland)

Get off my mound!

Andrew
  (12:29 PM)

now that's funny

Andrew
  (12:33 PM)
