We could have some teams eliminated to night so things should be interesting.
Do you think the sharks will pull a repeat of their early exit from last year?
No, I think they will find a way to win this series.
Hey Barry, Doughty wins the Norris, right?
I think he will be a finalist. I would vote for him, he had an amazing year.
Hey Barry, which team is in more trouble: Wings or Sharks and why?
Wings are in more trouble. I see that series going seven games. There is more of a chance that Detroit will lose to Phoenix then San Jose losing to Colorado.
Do they Devils have a chance, even if they win tonite?
They do, Gagne and Cater are both out for the Flyers and that's a break for the Devils. That's a break that doesn't often happen and the Devils need to take advantage to that.
How good of a chance do the Caps have at winning the Cup? Also, who wins in a match up between them and the Pens?
Washington has a good chance but right now I think Pittsburgh is playing better than Washington. If everything holds true, both teams will be playing in the conference finals which would be great.
everyone is going on about crosby establishing himself as the games best player- last i checked ovie was having a pretty good series himself. whats with that?
He's actually been good the past three games but wasn't good in Game 1. Crosby has played well in all his games and without a doubt has outplayed Ovechkin.
Hey Barry, what has been your favorite series with the best hockey so far?
I would say Buffalo-Boston. It's been the most intense, phyical series and the goaltending has been great.
Are we going to see the 5, 6, 7, and 8 seeds advance in the West?
You know what, we could. I don't think Colorado will beat San Jose but it wouldn't be a shock to see the bottom four seeds advance.
Flyers/Devils predictions for game 5? Flyers close it out (without Gags and Carter) or does it come back to Philly?
I think the Devils win at home. They have a lot pride. The lose of Carter and Gags is huge for Philly and New Jersey will find a way to win.
who are your updated championship picks? ANy chance we DO NOT see a crosby ovechkin rematch, but this time in the conference finals?
There's a chance but I think there is a 70% chance we see Pittsburgh-Washington in the final.
What do the Kings need to do this offseason to be cup contenders next year?
There best years are ahead of them. They are a young team with a great power play and goaltending. They will add a player here and there and are a solid team for the future. I think they will be a competitive team for years to come.
Is there any second round series that would have more juice than Pens-Bruins?
That would be pretty good. Depending of what happens we can see Chicago-Detroit in the second round and I think that would be awesome. But there's no doubt that Boston-Pittsburgh will be a great series.
Now that the Sedin boys are getting on track, do you like the Canucks to win the series?
I like L.A. I think their play power play is going to be the difference. They have nine power play goals so far. I see the Kings winning this series.
Can the Capitals win with Mike Green as their best D-man?
Mike Green has to be better if Washington is going to win. Defense has been there problem all year long.
Barry, unlike the other major sports, the NHL re-seeds after the first-round. Why is this? I personally am a fan as it greater rewards team play from the 82-game regular season.
I think its fair. It makes the standings mean more and I like it better than what the other major sports do.
Goal scoring seems to be up quite a bit so far, even compared to last year. Any thoughts as to why?
The pressure that is being put on the goaltenders. Teams are crowding the area in front of the net and that makes it hard for the goaltenders to see. The new rules also make it easier to score.
Best goalie in the playoffs so far-Rinne or Anderson?
Anderson has been the best goalie so far. He's seen the most shots and he's the only reason why Colorado is this in this series.
Is Ottawa's incredible amount of penalty minutes the major reason they are going to lose the series, or are the Pens just that much better?
I think Ottawa doesn't have a good of a team as Pittsburgh does. It's just a case of them not being as good as the team they are playing.
What do the wings need to do to win this series?
They have to play two more games the same way they played in Game 4.
If the Caps can close out Montreal, who presents the best matchup?
I think Philly because they take a lot of penalties. If you're going to take six, seven or eight penalties then Washington will make you pay for it.
I've never played hockey, in fact I don't even know how to skate... Do you think I could score a PP goal against Vancouver?
It's going to be an interesting evening. I'll be watching New Jersey to see if they can take Game 5 at home. It should be another great night of hockey.
