Chat with Paul Kuharsky

Paul Kuharsky
  (2:59 PM)

Hi folks, thanks for sticking with me during the move. Let's dive in.

CJ2K (Orlando)

Why is Nashville media so worried about me not showing up? I'm just trying to get paid, brah!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:00 PM)

I'm not worried. But I also don't think you are getting paid this year.

NOLATitan (New Orleans, LA)

Does Rusty Smith have a shot making one of the top 3 QB spots for the Titans or is he bound for the practice squad?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:01 PM)

A very good shot, I'd say. You have to cut him to get him on the practice squad, and then anyone else can sign him.

Graham (Macon, Georgia)

What could I expect from Bob Sanders this season? Thanks alot

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:01 PM)

Don't know. I'm going to say 10 games.

Jeremy (NY)

The AFC South looks to be very competitive this season. Can Houston or Tennessee take the top spot from the Colts?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:01 PM)

Highly doubt it.

Eddie (Bakersfield CA)

Paul, love the articles, huge fan..... Any new developments that you've heard of going on with Keith Bulluck? If it's not with the Titans, is he getting interest from anyone else in the league?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

Won't be running until May. Maybe he'll start to poke around then./ I do not expect the Titans to pursue aggressively.

Bill (Washington, DC)

Do you think former-Tennessee Titan, Adam Jones, can still be effective in the league? I've read that a few teams are giving Pacman a look.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

They are idiots.

TitansMatt (Knoxville)

Is there a chance that both LaGerrette Blount and Staphon Johnson make the titans roster?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:02 PM)

Doubt it. I don't think Johnson is the prospect Blount is.

Holman (Texas)

Paul,Seeing that the NFL Draft had higher ratings than any of the sporting events last week and knowing how high the ratings are for the actual games each week, do you think the powers that be (owners AND players) realize how popular the NFL is with folks, scratch that....Realizing how popular the NFL is, do you think that gives them more motivation to avoid a strike year, or does it give them more comfort (and leverage) that they won't miss a beat when it returns, assuming there is a lost year. It's almost surreal to me that a sport, by far the most popular around would be this serious about canceling a season. Are they over underestimating the backlash among fans this could cause, or do you think that in fact, the NFL would just bounce back to where they are now, if a strike occurs.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:03 PM)

Not a strike, a lockout. Major difference. I think they are all arrogant and presume we'll all come running back when they re-emerge. And they are probably right.

Casey (Santa Monica, California)

Hey Paul, Rod Smith has coached three receivers in their transition to the NFL from the Draft: Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, and Kenny Britt. So why isn't this guy coaching anywhere?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

Perhaps he doesn't want to be? Being an NFL position coach is a crappy job considering the hours. If I am a retired player who invested well, I wouldn't want one.

shawn (pennsylvania)

Who would you have chosen in Philadelphia to be your starting QB Vick or Kolb?(Considering what Vick did with his only pass against Dallas last year for 76 Yards for a TD to Jeremy Maclin)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:04 PM)

Kolb, without a doubt.

Jerry (Planet Earth)

Can you rank the QBs in the AFC South 1 - 4? I would say: 1) Peyton Manning 2)Matt Schaub 3) Vince Young 4) David Garrard. Can you do a similar ranking for LBs? RBs? Sorry if that is asking too much but you're the best!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:06 PM)

RBs: 1-- Chris Johnson, 2 -- MJD, 3-- Addai/Brown, 4 -- Slaton/Tate (don't know about Slaton health or ball security, don't know about Tate as a pro).

Shaun (TN)

I saw your OTA article about Ringer. How does he look now that he is the backup? He is going to have to get some carries to spill CJ every once in a while.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:06 PM)

First disclaimer of the spring: All skill position players look great when they aren't getting hit, and none get hit at this time of year.

Joe Angel (Mcallen,Texas)

Hay, there Mr. Kuharsky, just two?'s what do you think about the Houston Texans schedule being one of the hardest this coming up season. and will the Colts win the AFC South

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:07 PM)

Strength of schedule is based on last year's records, and with all the worst-to-firsts, good-teams-gone-bad, and bad-teams-gotten-good, I don't put a lot of stock into it. I think the Colts are the heavy favorites again...

Peyton Manning (Indianapolis)

Dude, I showed up to chat yesterday and you weren't here. Why didn't you tell me you were chatting today instead? We haven't been communicating well and I feel left in the dark.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:08 PM)

Posted it on the blog, which tweets it, which puts it on facebook. What other method of notification could you like. will call you, just provide a number.

Kevin (Nashville )

PK, in your opinion is Bud Adams more akin to Al Davis or Mike Brown? I'm worried about his financial and mental commitment to his football interests.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

Silliness. He's an absentee owner who asks only to be kept in the loop and pretty much lets Reinfeldt and Fisher do what they want.

jason (san diego)

Paul, do you think Chris Johnson will be given a bonus for his performance last year? I think it's time for him to come in and practice with the team so that he and VY can build upon the chemistry that was started last year.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:09 PM)

There is no such thing as a bonus for your performance last year. There are only new contracts. With three seasons left on his, I don't see it.

Zach (Indianapolis)

Where do you see Kevin Thomas playing? With Hayden, Powers, and Lacey, will Thomas see the field much this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:10 PM)

Not if they are healthy. On special teams.

lo (memphis)

whats your take on alterraun verner? and why are people saying he does not have good speed because of his 40 yard dash? (the 40 is very overrated)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:11 PM)

I like him. Will see him in a couple hours and have a bit of a better feel. Like it or not, people use 40s for comparison.

jb lockport NY [via mobile]

How come you defended Ben Rothelisberger so hard saying he hasn't actually been charged.. when Pac Man wasn't charged and he was suspened indef. You were fine with tht... 2 rape accusations and both not true

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:12 PM)

I don't recall defending Ben. But Pacman faced charges in his very first incident in Nashville.

palm springs, ca [via mobile]

Why does every stick there nose in the air about the jags draft. I remember them saying the same thing last year about knighton and cox and even britton but they all turned out to be solid starters. Not to mention we stole morrison from oakland. I think gene smith is makin Mel kiper look like a dunce.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

Just because last year's draft was underrated doesn't guarantee that this year's is being underrated. We have to wait and see.

Matt (IN)

Any shot that Raheem Brock returns to Indy? Have you heard his name connected to any other team? He's been pretty quiet about it on Twitter.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:13 PM)

I can't see him back and haven't heard a peep.

hank (chicago)

paul, answering questions with sound reasoning, logic and a dash of sarcasim does not cut the mustard...so tell me, how devastated are people in nashville now that their dreams of holding lord stanley is gone?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:14 PM)

Nobody thought that was a cup team. People in Nashville just want to see what the second round is like.

Dustin (Stanford CA)

Do you think the Titans drafted to Safeties to light a fire under Griffin?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:15 PM)

I think they drafted safeties because they think they can play. Hope is probabaly in his last year, and if griffin doesn't improve and Johnson is good, they could make a switch. You don't use draft picks to light fires under previous draft picks. You need to get players with them.

Corey (DC)

How big of a role do you expect Jared Cook to have this season? Was letting Crump go a sign he will be on the field more?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:16 PM)

Cook's got to be a consistent performer for them, no doubt. But loss of Crumpler speaks more to Craig Stevens.

Brian Clements (Nashville)

The last time we played the AFC West was in 2007. We hosted Oakland and played at Kansas City.Shouldn't we play at Oakland and host Kansas City this year.Brian

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:16 PM)

One time blip that sort of gets things on track for good after the 2002 realignment.

larry (oak)

Mr. Kuharsky, if I may call you brad, is there any chance the colts would trade gonzales for crayton with dallas

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

Why?

Darryl (Toronto)

RE Zach's question about Kevin Thomas. I thought the intent was for Kevin Thomas to be the 3rd CB (a 3rd rounder figures to be more talented than an undrafted FA - generally) and that Lacey would end up being the dime DB. Isn't the worst-case scenario that Thomas ends up behind Lacey on the depth chart?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:17 PM)

I would think Lacey comes in for the nickel but plays outside, with Hayden moving inside. Unless Thomas proves a better option from the start.

James (Columbus)

If 2 teams represent the AFC south in the playoffs next year which 2 do you think it will be.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

Indy and Houston.

gail (ala)

do you think payton could tutor j. russel to make him an above average qb? not saying indy would just wondering...thanks brian

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

Manning is busy. He has a fulltime job.

Charles (Goodlettsville)

How in the world do players come in out of shape, ala Britt, after only one year. I know that he has not seen this play out time and again, since he is so young, but surely there are vets, agents, and coaches that can get through to these guys and show them examples of what this could do to his career.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:18 PM)

Happens all the time. Time off = relax, eat, hang.

Brett Favre (Hickville)

I didnt like Walter Jones getting all the attention not to mention Holmgren calling him the best offensive player he ever coached, So I had to put that ankle story out there because my ego was starting to hurt.....

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:19 PM)

No joke. You also didn't like Bryant vs. Ireland. Give us a break already.

Mike (Ohio)

Thoughts on the Yankees thus far? Cano, in particular, is tearing it up. He's usually a slow starter.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:20 PM)

A very good team. Imagine once Tex starts hitting. My fantasy team is sure imagining it.

Ingrid (Hawaii)

What is your take on the Jags' selection of Alualu in the first round? I love Somoans. But, I've got to think this was a reach at #10. I've heard that he is somewhat robotic - appears to be made out of mechanical parts. Does he stand an Otter Pop's chance at being the starter at an end position? Oy vey and good luck!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:21 PM)

Why would he be starting at an end position when he's gong to be busy starting at a tackle position. Seemed reachy. But we have to wait and see. He might be great. We're going to condemn them because he didn't line up with analysts predictions?

Cris (Palm Springs, CA)

do you see the jags making at least a wild card spot this year. we solidified pass rush with morrison and kampman and with monroe and britton coming into their second year should provide som balance on the O-Line. what do u think?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

I think they are the fourth best team in the division and don't have enough offensive firepower to win consistently.

Lame Titan fan (Nashville)

Hey Paul, do you think if Lendale White has a good mini camp we can trade him for a 2nd round pick next year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:22 PM)

A first. No, two firsts! where are all the people who over-valued him so much with their mea culpas?

Zac (Franklin)

Our AFC South blog friend @Movethesticks tweeted multiple times that the Titans were targeting Brandon Graham or Jason Pierre-Paul and missed out when they got taken before Morgan. Was Morgan lower on their shopping list than the other 2?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

I think they expected Morgan to be gone.

kyle (frankfort,ky)

are you the only one working over there

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:23 PM)

Am I?

Joey Marchy (Urban Jacksonville)

Will the Jaguars be hurting this season because they have nott (yet) addressed interior offensive line and safety?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

They are vulnerable at those spots, certainly.

Taylor (California)

Do you really think Hope was "overprepared" or do you think that there was a degree of mutiny among the secondary with Hope not trusting the plays Cecil was calling?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

That's one way to read it. I read it for what Cecil said, not some interpretation of what he said.

Michael (Shreveport, LA)

Any update on Bethea contract issues on signing his tender or a long term deal? Does him being out affect much right now?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:24 PM)

Affects nothing right now.

John Rich (Mt. Rich-more)

Did you enjoy my party Wednesday night?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

Yeah, I'd come to your party. And I think LenDale White had huge value, that the Titans should play all Wildcat and that Peyton Maning is vastly overrated.

Mad Mike ( Houston) (Texas)

Paul, how bout the Sharks/Red Wings game last night? Fine playoff hockey!!!!!!.............MM

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:25 PM)

I was sleeping.

Jeff Ireland (Miami)

Will you just tell everybody that sometimes you have to ask the tough quesions. By the way PK, how do you feel about union labor and guns in bars?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:26 PM)

Guns in bars is about as dumb as I can think of.

Dustin (Stanford CA)

Do you think there will be any drop off on the Titans Oline with the loss of Mawae?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:26 PM)

Could be better if there is no panic when things get difficult.

Adam (Nashville)

A little intimidated to go up against somebody with your depth of Titans knowledge but here it goes. All offseason I have been saying over and over what a priority it is to get Stephen Tulloch signed based on the turnover in the linebacking corps. I wanted to get your assessment of that situation and how much value you think Tulloch has.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

Tulloch cannot go anywhere. He's restricted. If he doesn't sign it at the next deadline, they can pull the offer and replace with one that's only 110% of his 2009 salary. So why the panic? I think he's solid and getting better. But they think Curran can do a lot of the same things.

Fiona (FL)

How concerned do you think the Titan's should be about Britt coming in out of shape?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

Only a little.

Finley (under the desk)

Sure is a beautiful day outside. When are going to quit staring into that little tv with the keyboard and take me out?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:28 PM)

You are out. The question is whether you'll come in when this is over.

Alex (Nashville)

Jaquees McClendon love the guy and think he wil do well for the Colts but do you think he will be a rookie starter?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

No way anyone can say they know the answer to that one at this point.

Simon Kuharsky (via mobile)

Dad, Finley made a mess in the kitchen again. Anyway, I've decided that I want an Evan Longoria jersey. Go Rays!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:29 PM)

Longoria is great. But we will not be wearing him.

Mad Mike ( Houston) (Texas)

Paul: Can you name a player for each AFC South team that you think will take a big step forward in their performance? I would be looking to players drafter or signed in the last couple of years. Thanks.......MM

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:31 PM)

Houston: Barwin. Indy: Brown/Moala. Jax: Monroe. Tenn: McRath.

Rob (Green Cove Springs, FL)

Jerry from Planet Earth listed Young as better than Garrard?? Hmmmm. I don't know about that. In fact I think that's crazy. At the very least, Garrard's never quit on his team.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:32 PM)

Toss up in a lot of ways, but Young certainly wins more.

Simon (Daycare)

When can I have my own Blackberry? I got a few people I want to follow on twitter like the @etrade kid and @mickeymouse!

Fitz (Jacksonville)

I know the Jaguars need a safety but you cant cure all your needs in one draft regardless of what the mel kiper's of the world tell you. While the jags need a upgrade i am almost certain a sustained pass rush will greatly improve that unit.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:33 PM)

You can't solve everything on one draft, but you can address more than one position group with your first four picks, no?

otis (nashville)

why do you consider the jags 4th best in the division the titans only have CJ and we have MJD and MSW is much better than any titans reciever

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

CJ is as dangerous as anyone in the league. And I don't really base such things by adding top RB and WR for each team and seeing how it comes out.

Savai (Stockton, CA)

Guess Who??!! Jamarcus Russell! Do you see any AFC South teams taking a look at him when he's released by the Raiders? Jamarcus lazy. It would be a hoot to see him scarfing down chili cheese dogs on the sidelines of an AFC South game.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:35 PM)

I think he's toxic. And I don't think anyone should touch him until he drops 40.

Rob (Green Cove Springs, FL)

PK, I'm curious to see what Sims-Walker will do this coming season. I think he will be the Jags' first 1,000 yard receiver since J-Smooth. Do you think that Underwood makes the 53 man roster or is that Williamson's spot?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

The could both make it. I'm curious about Jarett Dillard.

Chief (Nashville)

Give us your favorite #SeinfeldDerbyHorseName

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:36 PM)

I proposed "I Am Out of the Contest"

John Rich (Mt. Rich-more)

Sorry about the helicopters and fireworks! Finley sure did seem to enjoy himself though!

Mario Leal (Brownsville, TX.)

What do u think of the SPURS win last night?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:38 PM)

Chief, I've moved away from you. You can't find me. And Finley can't find you.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:39 PM)

I's list things I care about less than the NBA, but it would take me a long time to come up with them.

Jason (Murfreesboro)

Mr. Adams has mentioned that he doesn't have much time left to win a superbowl. If he were to pass, who would take over ownershp of the team? Would there be any danger of the team moving?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

They've got a lease that runs through 2029. He's got a plan in place that would hold things over til his grandson is a bit older.

Paul (Jax, Fl)

Jags need a C bad, what should the Jags do?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:42 PM)

Watch who gets cut. Consider Cecil Newton?

Adam (Nashville)

I know it is early, but were you surprised to see Mouton ahead of McCourty in yesterdays OTA's. By the way I heard you on the radio about the new pipeline being opened to Auburn based on Fishers daughter being in school down there and thought it was a spot on assessment.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:43 PM)

Thanks. McCourty was ahead, and they said it could change OTA to OTA.

Howard Mudd (Indy)

How big of an issue do you think the Colts O-Line will be ?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:43 PM)

Biggest they have.

Paul (Jax, Fl)

Whats your opinion of Darren Sharper, and do you think the Jags should sign him?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

Will hit some home runs, will swing and miss too. But I think it'd be great if they could sign him and have one vet leader in each group: Kampman, Morrison and Sharper.

Steve (Indy)

What's the rule if someone were to sign a RFA after the draft?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:44 PM)

Can't. The deadline for offer sheets is behind us.

Frank Wychek (Louisville, KY)

Hey Chief Who told you I cant reed?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

I've watched you struggle through those live spots.

Jeremy (GA)

Do you see Curran in the rotation for the Titans this yr. Or is strictly going to be special teams?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:45 PM)

I'd be surprised if he's more than the goal line fourth LB if they are healthy.

dylan (missouri)

who your fav sport team

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

Yanks and US Soccer.

David Stern (NYC)

Why dont you like the NBA? Is it because the 1st round of the play-offs last longer then most marriages?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:46 PM)

I also love isolation and constant timeouts.

Fitz (Jacksonville)

well obviously the jaguars were picking just on defense early on but if a DL player was graded higher then a Safety then I have no problem picking 4 DL in a row. While a Center or OG would of been nice we are talking 5th round selections, I rather take BAP then need at that round.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:47 PM)

If it's a well balanced draft and you have DL rated BAP four times in a row, I think you might have rated DL a little high.

Tim Graham (AFC East)

Dude, I was playing fetch with Finley in the backyard and he chewed up my favorite wizard hat. You gonna pay for this?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

Nope.

Charles (Goodlettsville)

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:48 PM)

Matt (NY)

Hey Paul, the Titans seemed to have questions at every single position on defense going into the offseason. Between the draft and FA they brought in several players - with the exception of DT. Do they feel like they are ok there or will they look to add someone in the coming months (no I'm not implying Big Al)?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

They think they are OK there and I agree.

Eric (Murfreesboro, TN)

PK, thanks for the entertaining chat, as always.Do you think there is anything fishy going on behind the scenes with ZERO TEAMS calling Kevin Mawae? I think he's probably got another year or two of better-than-average ability left in him...

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:49 PM)

Teams are allowed not to want him. If part of that is because he's prez of the PA, they're still allowed to not want him, no?

KB (Knoxville, TN)

With all the talk about day after draft grades and draft grades three or four years later, I thought I would ask your opinion: How many players from one draft have to make a significant contribution to a team in that first three or four years to call it a successful draft (and you decide what is meant by significant and successful)?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

2.5 starters, 3.5 contributors.

Ike Davis (NYC)

Im the new stud 1st basemen in NY, SUBWAY SERIES, Yankees go down this time!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:50 PM)

This is a cute little run you are on. Setting yourself up for the typical late season implosion.

jason (chi)

hey paul, love your stuff...I am a huge bears fan 310 lbs 6'4" but love how you write...any chance you can cover the nfc north? Seifort is nice and all but you Rock!

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

Seifert rules.

speakman (Ohio)

What will Rolando McClain a bust or to good to be true

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:51 PM)

Very good unless the Raiders mess him up.

Corey (Waverly)

PK, what is VY's current contract situation?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:52 PM)

Entering the last year of his original contract.

steven (Salem, OR)

Do you see the Jets winning the AFC or do you think they still need some help on offense?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

I don't see them winning the AFC. I don't think they will be nearly as good, statistically on D, as they were last year, despite additions and improvements.

Tyson Alualu (DUUUVAL)

27-Over/Under on how many sacks our DL gets this year?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:53 PM)

Under. Team over.

Kevin (Nashville (next to otis))

PK, Please solve this now....In your opinion who is the young WR with the most upside in AFC South?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:54 PM)

Andre Johnson is 27 or 28.

Steve (Longview, TX)

There's obviously no leadership on the Titans squad, who needs to step up and take control? VY?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:55 PM)

Lots of that to be sorted out. Hard for VY to get himself in order and lead the offense at the same time.

Jason (Murfreesboro)

Freddy Keiaho signed with the Jags think it was a move to try to figure out some of Indy's secrets?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

No. That kind of stuff is way overrated. And you think he actually knows what Peyton is doing?

Charlie (Nashville, TN)

What do the Titans see in Rusty Smith? What do we know about him thus far?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:57 PM)

A tall, confident, big-armed pocket passer.

Jason (Murfreesboro)

Do you agree Fish should have let Harper go a long time ago? If you're coaching who starts opposite Finny?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

I didn't have a huge problem with Harper before last year. People act like no passes should be completed.

Charles (Goodlettsville)

Do you have any type of read on Jovan Haye? I know the Titan's D as a whole last year stunk it up, but for a free agent, he flat out disappeard. Surely the scheme wasn't that hard to learn, especially for a Vandy grad.

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:58 PM)

He was not very productive.

Pacman (oblicion)

I've stayed out of trouble for a while now... meaning of course I ran out of money and couldn't make it rain if I wanted to. I burned all my bridges in the NFL and CFL, which leaves me with either a) TNA or b) my rap group the Posterboyz. Any career advice for an old friend?

Paul Kuharsky
  (3:59 PM)

Be sure to ask "Would you like fries with that."

You dodged a question IMO (Internet)

Kevin (Nashville )PK, in your opinion is Bud Adams more akin to Al Davis or Mike Brown? I'm worried about his financial and mental commitment to his football interests.Paul Kuharsky (3:09 PM)Silliness. He's an absentee owner who asks only to be kept in the loop and pretty much lets Reinfeldt and Fisher do what they want....And who only makes a demand to switch starting QBs after his team goes 0-6. You always downplay the role and the seemingly declining mental acuity of Bud Adams but according to multiple interviews HE made the call to put VY back into the lineup last year and told Fisher "he better do it." That doesn't really sound like "hands off" to me. Are you going to reply with a brief, sarcastic remark or just a cowardly deflection?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:01 PM)

Fisher made 1,000 moves last year and would have gotten to VY two weeks later. I'm sorry I don't see Bud, unsurprisingly asking for Vince to play, as akin to being some huge meddling owner. Name a move since 1999 not involving Vince that has his fingerprints on it?

Charles (Goodlettsville)

Best long term DE draftee: Graham, Pierre-Paul, Morgan, or the field?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:02 PM)

Good question. I'd lean field just because of odds. Out of three, I'd put them Morgan, Graham, JPP.

Dustin (Stanford CA)

How does Witherspoon compare with the last few years of Keith Bulluck? Comparible skills? Where is he deficient?

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:02 PM)

I need some time to see him work, please.

Jacksonville QB (Jacksonville)

Rusty Smith will end up being the best QB out of Jacksonville in this draft....

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:03 PM)

Which would mean best QB from his church -- he and Tebow go to the same one.

Paul Kuharsky
  (4:04 PM)

Well folks, I am off to DC for a beer summit. That or the Titans' facility for this rookie practice and then to Jacksonville in the morning for minicamp. Stay tuned and thanks for coming...
