I'm partnering with TIMEX to run in the New York Marathon. TIMEX is giving me some of their state of the art equipment like the Timex Ironman Global Trainer Bodylink Systemin in order to help take me to the next level. They've also awarded me with 2009 USAT Amateur Triathlete of the Year Chris Thomas as my person trainer. Using this state of the art equipment will help me become more confident in running this 26.2 mile marathon. You can follow my training on

What is your $ Goal for the Marathon

Amani Toomer
  (3:10 PM)

I think that if I run it in the time that I want to run it in, I believe I can raise around $20,000.

Sam (NJ)

How have you been training for the NY Marathon?

Amani Toomer
  (3:12 PM)

I've been using the Timex Ironman Global Trainer Bodylink Systemin. It tracks all my data so I can download in on my computer. Then I can look and see what my heart is doing at every moment. I also have Chris Thomas by my side to help me go from a 5K runner to a marathon runner in a safe way.

How did it feel To Win your first Super Bowl?

Amani Toomer
  (3:12 PM)

I'm sure it felt as good as me finishing this first marathon.

I just wanted to thank you for your time with the Giants. It was an honor to watch a great competitor and a consummate professional play the game the right way. Why do you think it is that so many players can't seem to keep themselves out of trouble nowadays? Good luck with the marathon!

Amani Toomer
  (3:14 PM)

I think most of them are good people but there are a couple of them that make it bad for others. There is only a handful of players that get in trouble you just never hear about the many that don't but always hear about the ones that do.

Thanks for all the good seasons Toomer and congrats on the team records you hold. What do you think the Giants 2010 season looks like? Thank you.

Amani Toomer
  (3:16 PM)

I don't know, I think they are a mystery. They have the talent and coaches, now they just have to go out and perform on the field. Not for the first six games but for the entire season.

Fox (Cherry Hill, NJ)

Amani, my family and I have had season tickets to the Giants since the original Giant's Stadium opened and you're one of my all-time favorite Giants. Congrats on a great career. My personal favorite "Amani" moment was the catch you made from Kent Graham against Denver to hand them their first loss at Giant's Stadium (I was there!). What is your personal favorite Giant's Stadium moment and where does that catch against Denver rank for you in your Giant Memories?

Amani Toomer
  (3:18 PM)

When we played the Minnesota Vikings in 2000. Running out onto the field seeing LT and other Giant greats, seeing all the fans with the towels and cheering for us was a great feeling. When I fist came to New York fans were booing us more than they were cheering us on and the moment I ran out against the Vikings, it felt as if my career has come full circle.

Mike (Long Island)

any chance for a return this year now that the Giants have lost Hixon for the year with a torn ACL..thanks for all the great memories Amani

Amani Toomer
  (3:19 PM)

No, I don't think they can pay me enough to come back. I'm enjoying retirement and training for this marathon.

Declan (Yonkers, NY)

Being such a heady player, any chance you might look towards a coaching career in the future?

Amani Toomer
  (3:20 PM)

No, I don't think I want to coach. They put in a lot of hours and I want to enjoy my family.
