Tina congrats on fantastic season so far! Luv watching you play! Just wondering-what do you think is the biggest adjustment from college ball to the WNBA?
The biggest adjustment was just waking up on my own. In college I was in a family atmosphere living with three of my teammates. So I will say the toughest part is just being on my own.
Who has been your toughest opponent in the WNBA?
I'll say my toughest opponent is Sylvia Fowles. She goes out there and competes night-in and night-out. Every time I play against her I know its going to be a battle.
what do you like to do after you win a game?
Usually after a win, I go back and see my mom. She attends every game. After that, my teammates and I go out to eat. There are a lot of nice restaurants around Mohegan Sun.
Are you happy to still be playing in CT and play along side your old teammate Renee Montgomery?
It's definitely a blessing and being able to stay in my comfort zone in playing with Renee and Asjha makes it all the better. Playing with two UConn greats is wonderful. And if anyone knows my game, it's Renee.
A shout out from Queens! Congrats on ripping up the season so far. What would you tell other college post players about playing against WNBA post players?
I would say WNBA players are smarter and more physical. I think Coach Auriemma and the UConn coaching staff definitely prepared me to play on this level.
How does it feel being able to continue your career in Connecticut, since you just graduated from UConn? Do you still keep in touch with your UConn teammates and Coach Geno?
I still do keep in touch with my old teammates. I was just up there yesterday checking in on them. That's the great thing about UConn, we are are family and continue to be even after we leave.
Did you honestly expect to be this good and produce these kinds of numbers on the pro level quite this fast?
I just expected to go out a make an impact on my team. I wanted to go out and do whatever it took for my team to be successful and win.
Tina, I'm pretty sure I can beat you one on one and I'm only 5'10". Who wins between you and Taurasi one on one?
(Laughing) Defiantly Taurasi. I'll give her that.
What's the biggest difference between Coach Thibault and Coach Auriemma?
I'll say that Coach Thibault is more calm than Coach Auriemma. If you watch the UConn games, you see coach on the bench having a fit but that's because he wants everything to be perfect. Although they both have the same philosophy when it comes to the game of basketball.
I think I can beat Taurasi also. Will the UCONN women ever lose another game?
Thank you ...we just have to see how the team shapes up. It takes hard work to go undefeated. I do hope that they can pull off another undefeated season though.
Thanks for following me during my time at UConn and now as I'm with the Sun. Thanks for taking the time out to chat with me today. God Bless.
