JG in regards to the Redskins three headed monster rushing attack, which guy would you feel comfortable with of Portis/Johnson/Parker? Why?
I would still say Portis. I think Johnson got worn out in Kansas City and Parker will be more of the change of pace. I think Portis stll has the most miles left on his tread
Do you think Vincent Jackson is posturing or really prepared to sit out the season?
I think that is more posture then anything else. San Diego as much as any team in the league has done a very goos job of taking care of their young star players. I think a deal eventually gets done.
Who will be the starting quaterback on the St. Louis Rams next season.
I think it will be Bradford. Young QB's Ryan and Flacco did really well when they were thrown into the fray early The big key will b can they protect the pocket. If he has time he is still going to make some rookie errors but if he takes a lot of hits he could become shell shocked.
Will the Rams be any better this year, or should we start looking forward to the first pick in next year's draft?
I think they will be better. They will be better on defense because the players will be more comfortable with Spagnulos offense. Jackson will be mor e healthy. Do not worry about the first pick... Buffalo will be making it.
big skins fan here, any chance the McNabb trade puts them in the NFC East race this year?
I do and I think the fact that he ends up in the division motivates him even more. They have a 3-headed monster at RB and if Haynesworth comes ready to play that defensive front can protect the 2nd level. They will be in the mix
Is 49ers QB Alex Smith poised for a breakout year now that he has some receiving threats, a solid O-line, and continuity in coaching?
I think he is on of those guys really under the microscope in that it makes or breaks his career. I do think he is going to have a breeakout season though. You hit it on the head. Better targets and better offensive line and I think he finally has a system he feels comfortable in. I like him to play well and the 49ers to win the division.
Do the Bucs have a chance this year?
Depends on what your expectations are? I think Josh Freeman still hhs some growing pains he is going to have to fight through. The one thing that should help is the defense will be better at the start of the season. They are back playing more cover 2 and that will be huge with their personnel.
Who wins the AFC North? I like the Ravens but am biased and the Bengals were able to steal a couple tough wins from them last year.
i really like the Ravens chances especally since Pittsburgh has a chance to stumble early. This was a team that was maybe a piece of the puzzle away at WR. They get a potential number one with Boldin and all the other pieces are still there so they are a legit contender.
is the Patriot run finally over?
I might be one of the few believers but as long as #12 suits up they have a chance every Sunday and I think he is goin g to better this season a year removed from his injury. As long s Brady is at QB and Belichick is on the sidelines I dont want to call their run over so to speak.
Any chance Jake Delhomme rebounds from his terrible performance last year?
Yeah i dont think so. He started to deteriorate even the season prior where he struggled down the stretch and played horrible in that playoff loss to Arizona.I would not even call him a good game manager at his point in his career.
Sorry JG. Pats finish 3rd in that division this year. Fins and Jets will be fighting for 1st.
I am feeling the Jets and I think the Dolphins are better as henne will take anoother leap up the QB rankings. I just can't put a fork in the Pats though. Thhey have been to good for to long.
do you think the cowboys will still be strong even with the losses
I am not ready to put my predictions on the table yet but I did call the Saints last season... Dallas is one of the he teams in the NFC i am pondering as being in the big game. They can over come the losses and be there bt it comes down to Tony Romo and can he go to next leve? If he can they are a SB contender
What are the chances that the Texans make it to the playoffs coming out of one of the hardest divisions in the league?
I am ready to make this prediction... The Texans time has come... they are going to be a playyoff team. They have a chance to start fast this season which is something they have n not done.I think thew are going to be more balanced on offense and better in the back end on D. Put em in... As Jim Mora would say... they are talking "playoffs"
In my opinion one of the best fights for a division title this year will come out of the NFCN between the Vikes & Packers. Your thoughts?
Depends on th Vikings QB situation. I mean if T-jack is runing the show I got the packers. If favre plays it is going to be one of the most tightly contested division at the top.
Do you think Frlix Jones in Dallas will take over for Barber and be one of the elite RBs in the league?
I know they have Jones penciled in as the starter but i dont think he is very going to be elite. Barber is not elite either. They are going to split carries and it is not going to matter who the starter is because the hot guy that week will get the carries late in the game
We all know that I am coming back!
You heard it here first. Brett welcome to the Chat man
OK... everyone enjy your week. No NFL... No NBA... just baseball as a Cubs fan... that does not get ya real fired up. See everyone next week.
