Hey everyone. Send in your questions, let's get started!
How are places determined when people get eliminated around the same time at different tables? Does the payout slip have a timestamp on it?
The floor staff communicates through walkie talkie to get the exact moment a player is eliminated. They make sure that the player gets the exact spot they finished in.
How many eliminations since the start of play today, you reported 205 to start the day
At least 15 players are out so far today
When Phil Ivey wins the WPT tonight it will be bigger in the poker world then whoever wins the WSOP.
Really is unfortunate timing...if he's able to pull through, it won't get the true attention it deserves
Blake Kelso out in 188th. He gone.
Any guys to root for that are not young online pros?
I came to the WSOP as a Chris Ferguson look alike but could only stay the first three days and missed my dream shot of me and Chris together . did take hundreds of pics with fans each day and some pros too . some of the pros were even fooled for a minute (reporters too), have some funny stories but got no mention anywhere . my question is this , does anyone know where Ferguson goes next so I can try again if financially able ?
No way that was you...If so, it was pretty impressive. You definitely put a lot of time and effort into making that happen...
Update on Ryan Eriquezzo please. At work, can't access pokernews.com and have known him forever. Thanks.
2.3 million. Coasting so far today.
What happened To Peter Eastgate at this years WSOP didn't hear much about him?
He retired and didn't play in the main event. We cover that story on ESPN Inside Deal (espn.com/insidedeal)
You reported that Chan took a brutal beat to start the day. Chances that he makes it through today with the stack that he currently has. And also, how impressive that Ivey shows up late to an event and makes another final table. What do you think are his chances today being 5th in chips?
I'm not sure if Johnny is going to have the patience after a beat like that to hang around. He ran KK into AA and is now with a below average stack. As for Ivey, he's at the final table and hungry for a WPT win.
Is the field still too big to have a hands down crowd favorite? Chan looked to fill that role, but could be out soon after that cooler.
Yeah. I think if Johnny made it through to Day 7 in similar standing to where he was this morning we could just give him the nod...not anymore.
Hi chops. Great podcast yesterday.
Gualter Salles., great story. Ex-indy race driver.....yesterday he had 1 ante at one point and today he is around 1 million chips
Very true. We'll have something up on him in a few hours....if he's still alive at that pt.
JRB = Nov 9 Bubble Boy on quads vs. quads.
That would be his luck, wouldn't it. JRB is down to 500K right now.
Still wondering what happened to Jack Ury. Do you know?
Nobody knows, but we didn't hear any additional bad news at this point.
True or false: my repeated pleadings to get you on PokerRoad led directly to your inaugural appearance yesterday (please lie to me).
True (if I'm lying). It was good times. Was nervous, but had a good time.
Are both remaining Mizrachi brothers still alive? I know Rob was sporting one of the shortest stacks.
Yep. Robert is still a short stack and Grinder is closing in on 2 million
Whats average stack right now?
Am I still playing or am I out??
Just saw you. Shaking at the table like always.
I'm still quite popular today.
You've been quite popular since 2003
Whose play would you say has impressed you the most in terms of consistency and success at this year's WSOP? Either from someone you'd expect or from a fairly new face?
Michael Mizrachi has been awesome all series. Talk about a refocusing on his game to really jump to a new level this year.
Has the 2010 WSOP TV schedule been released yet? I believe in previous years prelim events start airing right around this time...?
It's on the poker front page (espn.com/poker). Preview show on July 20th, 50K on July 27th, TOC on August 3rd and main event from then on.
Quick follow up. I know its way early but if Grinder made the Nov. 9 in the same year he won the Players Championship and Final Tables another (1 or 2?) 10k events, where would that rank in WSOP accomplishments?
One of those "I can't believe it" stories.
With the popularity of Twitter, have you had any conversations with pros (ie -- JRB) about giving off false info/playing styles to their tablemates?
Yes and No. The players really just use it to update, but there was one player this tournament who tweeted he was going to go all in no matter what on the next hand, did that, then showed the rest of his table.
Is Bernard Lee still in?
Unfortunately he's sitting right next to me. Finished 410th.
btw, love your podcast and you've been added to the list of poker podcasts that I listen to regularly. Keep it up!
Thanks Mark. Glad that you've liked the coverage.
What's your guess on chip leader's chip count going into November Nine?
Gary Wise says 47.8, I'm going for 41.2
How about an update on espn.com/poker's favorite player, Eric Baldwin? Looks like he doubled to 600Kish.
Up to 680. At the secondary feature
Dragan Galic is out and he was announced that he was from "Cratia".
How low are we likely to get on players today?
I thought we were playing to 81, but the TD said at least 4 levels.
How many ladies are left in the ME?
Recent Twitter Update - Jean-Robert BellandeWon a pot. Limp reraised w AK and stole a pot. 1.1mil
Yuo really think Chan is going to self destruct with "only" 40 bbs left?
I really hate to do this guys, but I've gotta get up a column on Jean Robert Bellande before he busts...I'll be back tomorrow! Follow the twitter feed (@ESPN_Poker) and email email@example.com if you have any questions or comments! Thanks!
