Former TCU and Buffalo Bills running back Kenneth Davis will be here shortly!

Buzzmaster
  (2:03 PM)

Kenneth is here!

Willie (SJ)

How many TCU games are you able to get to each season?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:03 PM)

I'll get to the home ones and the ones in the state of Texas, I'll get to also. I probably get to about 50% of the games.

Dave (FL)

Did you steal Thurmond Thomas' helmet?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:04 PM)

No! He talked about that during his hall of fame induction, that he thinks Bruce Smith was the one that moved his helmet.

Paul (LA)

How was your time at the Tailgate Tour this past weekend?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:05 PM)

It was great. It was a very exciting time for me. It was exciting to see all the fans. It's a great thing that Allstate does for college football. I enjoyed it a lot.

Dave (Boston)

Many people have opinions of your Bills' teams, but you were actually on those teams. How do you view your teams' accomplishments, despite not having won a Super Bowl?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:06 PM)

I don't really compare it to not having won a Super Bowl. We had the opportunity to participate and the chance to win a world championship. You look back at it now and you tell me how many teams went to 4 consecutive Super Bowls? How many college teams went to 4 consecutive national championships? What we did was a great run.

kevin (dallas)

what do you think of TCU's chances of ending up in the BCS title game?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:07 PM)

I think they have a great opportunity. I don't like the idea that Oklahoma jumped them in the BCS standings like they did. If it's meant to be, it will be. The best thing that I would love to see happen would be to have Boise State and TCU play for the national title. THat would upset the BCS mightily.

Matt (IN)

Kenneth, I know you're here to talk TCU but I wanted to ask something else: What was it like to play in the Super Bowl?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:08 PM)

Oh man. I tell you what, it was one of the most exciting times of my life. I know of so many guys that played before me and never had a chance to win. And there were a bunch of guys that played during my time that didn't have a chance to play in one. I just consider myself very lucky.

Mark (Austin)

I grew up going to games and watching you play at TCU. Thanks for the memories. What was it like playing in the cold weather after playing at TCU for so long?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:09 PM)

I think that it was great. I had a good friend of mine teaching me how to properly dress for the cold. You had to put on layers of clothes and after I learned that, I like to play in the cold. IT was a great experience. I had an opportunity to experience something different in my life. If I hadn't done it then, I would never have done it.

Joey (DC)

Best TCU RB?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:10 PM)

Well, I think all of them that came through there were good. The guys in the 60s, they were the best. The guys in the 70s, they were the best. The guys in the 80s they were the best. The guys in the 90s, they were the best.

Mike (Ohio)

Do you think TCU would be enjoying the kind of success that they are these days if they'd joined what is now the Big 12 when it was formed?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:10 PM)

I think that they would. I just think when they had a chance to get into the Big 12, they would have the same type of success. And maybe they wouldn't have had the same kinds of problems trying to get to the BCS title game now, if they had been in the Big 12.

Jon (Charlotte, NC)

Kenneth, what did you think of that hit Deshawn Jackson took this weekend? How can the NFL do a better job of protecting its players from hard hits like that?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:11 PM)

I think it's just more them educating the young men about the hits. It's a very violent game. I think some people are just now realizing how violent it is. We have to continue to educate the players.

Matt (IN)

You're a Texan, so you have to know your way around a grill. Which do you prefer, charcoal or gas?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:12 PM)

When I grill, I use a lot of wood. Very little charcoal.

Nathan (Kentucky)

What was it like to play with Thurman Thomas in Buffalo?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:13 PM)

Thurman was a great individual to play with. He was a great teammate. He was a very competitive guy. He was a hall of fame athlete. I say it all the time that it took a hall of fame athlete to keep me on the bench and he was a hall of fame athlete.

JeremyB (Traverse City, Michigan)

Is the BCS over looking schools like TCU and Boise State because of their Conference and their schedules? And is it fair?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:14 PM)

I think they do overlook them. It's not fair. We live in the greatest country in the world in America and the BCS can't get it right? What if we did the same in basketball and not let some of these smaller schools have a chance? Let's get it right.

Ryan (Baltimore)

favorite memory?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:15 PM)

My entire career. My entire 6 years I was with the Bills was my favorite. I enjoyed every moment. The game. Practice. It was a great time in my life, for six years. I had a very successful team. My entire time in Buffalo was a great time in my life.

Mike (Ohio)

Were you aware at the time that guys like Thurman, Jim, Andre, Bruce, etc., were just at a different level?

Kenneth Davis
  (2:16 PM)

Oh yeah. I think they were playing at a different level, but that's what made us so good. They were playing at a different level and then when you went in as a backup, you played at a different level. We could always continue to elevate one another.

Kenneth Davis
  (2:16 PM)

Thanks everyone. The Horned Frogs are going to get it done this year!
