Chat with Ohm Youngmisuk

Ohm
  (12:31 PM)

Wud up, wud up! Let's get rolling. Where all my Snooki questions at! LOL!

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Which team in NY/NJ do you think will clinch the divisions in the NFL this year?

Ohm
  (12:32 PM)

CF... I think the Jets will win their division. As for the Giants, very good chance. They can bury the Cowboys not only this week but they play Dallas again in a month. Still think Philly and Washington will be tough outs though.

Sam (Ma)

Any new news on Kiwanuka? Poss a come back after the bye week?

Ohm
  (12:34 PM)

Sam... read my blog homey! Just posted one that there is no new news on Kiwi. Coughlin says nothing has changed. http://es.pn/cFNYa7 check it out... thanks!

Craig (Washington, DC)

Why do the giants get no love in the media? they came into the season with as many questions as the Eagles, but everyone seems to have come around on the eagles as a strong team in the NFC. Why not the G-men?Also, do you see Fewell sticking with the 4-2-5 for the rest of the season? seems to play to the giants strength on defense.

Ohm
  (12:36 PM)

C from my hometown. What's happening in Chocolate City? Miss DC. The Giants have gotten plenty of love lately, perhaps not down in DC. But they get their fair share. Now at the start of the season, they didn't deserve it after last year's meltdown. People still have that on their brains as well. As for Fewell, I think you will see a lot of the 4-2-5 for sure. He loves his three safeties. But with Bulluck making his way back, I think you will see you more three linebacker looks than you have recently based on matchups. But I still think you will see plenty of three safety looks.

Ricky T (NYC)

Ohm my man! So are the Giants are legit?? Do you think they go down to Dallas and cement themselves as one of the elite teams in the NFC with a win over the Cowboys?

Ohm
  (12:38 PM)

Ricky T... wud up man. I think the Giants are legit. I predicted them to win 10 games and amazingly -- I don't like to self promote but let me brush some dirt off my shoulder here -- I predicted the first six games perfectly back when I broke down the schedule game by game in April. Unfortunately for you Giants fans, I predicted them to lose this game. Can they win? Absolutely. They typically play good ball in Dallas, especially before nationally televised audiences. But the Cowboys need this game. I mean, their season could be over if they lose. So I'm leaning toward Cowboys. Refuse to believe they are that bad unless they don't want to play for the coach... who knows?

John McGraner (Middletown, NJ)

In a PPR league, would you start Bowe or Woodhead? Have NYG S. Smith and P.Harvin @ WR and C.Johnson & R. Mendenhall at RB?

Ohm
  (12:40 PM)

JMc... hmm... I like Woodhead a lot in PPR... but I think I go with Bowe. Jax is AWFUL. The Jags' secondary is really really bad. And there could be a backup QB starting for the Jags too. Smitty and Harvin, you should start. And ditto for your RBs.

Frank (Houston)

Hasselback or McNabb? Also, choose 3 of the following: R. Moss, D. Bowe, S. Smith (GMEN!), R. Williams, or D. Branch? As always, thanks for the help. What's your take on Eli being ranked as one of the most overrated players?

Ohm
  (12:43 PM)

Frank... wow, you got quite a dilemma there. Both have great matchups. I think McNabb will play well, it is a homecoming and Bears secondary suspect. But I'd lean toward Matt at home vs Arizona. Don't know if you are in a PPR but I'd go Moss, Bowe and Smith. Wait one more week on Branch and see what he does. As for Eli being overrated, people look at the name and think he should be better. I get it. But he has a Super Bowl ring. So no matter how much he struggles or hasn't taken that next step where he's dominating defenses, he still won the big one. That makes him better than so many other quarterbacks.

ben (nsha)

if the draft was tommorow what position do the giants draft with their 1st round pick

Ohm
  (12:43 PM)

Ben... dude... love you man, but let's just get through the season bro.

Andiamo708 (ban that ESPN) (NYC)

Young Ohm, long time no chat....why are the Giants stock piling Olinemen right now? With Beatty and Boothe coming back (I think Boothe is already back)....doesn't 11 seem like a bit much? IMO the giants saw first hand last year how effective injured players are....Tuck, Hedgecock, and Bernard all had the same injury Boothe had this year. Is it not conceivable that the Giants signed this Meredith character so they could IR Boothe and give him an entire year to heal?!?

Ohm
  (12:45 PM)

Wud up bro. It's a good question. Well Boothe is practicing today I believe. I think they are looking for depth. Who knows how much longer O'Hara will last even though he is not listed on injury report anymore. Beatty is making progress but they also could be looking at guys for next season as well. The Giants are all about winning in the trenches, you know that, so they are stockpiling OL guys I guess. But you do have to wonder what they will do soon with Boothe, Beatty or Kiwi.

Jake Carteret NJ [via mobile]

What team should the Giants be most concerned about in their upcoming schedule?

Ohm
  (12:46 PM)

Jake... Dallas. LOL! I think the Cowboys are going to come out like their season is on the line. Seattle is not going to be easy at all. Beware that trip out there although it comes off a bye so that helps the Giants.

DC (PA)

Wud up, Ohm!!?? Hope your week has gone well. Ugly win last week, but we'll take it. What's your prediction for Monday night's game? Dallas is desperation mode.

Ohm
  (12:46 PM)

DC... wud up man. I think I predicted Dallas to win like 35-31 or something like that. I got the Giants getting them back in East Rutherford in a month.

Ro (ATL)

Ohm, what's good fam? What do you think are the chances the Giants defense plays a ridiculous game with 5 sacks, 2 forced turnovers, defensive touchdown and not giving up more than 13 points? I can use that kind of performance for my fantasy matchup this weekend. Also, do you think Manningham will be a factor in Monday night's game? Get at me!

Ohm
  (12:48 PM)

Ro... well, I don't think the Giants will hold Dallas to 13 points. Dallas is ranked fourth in total offense. And typically, games played down there between these two have been somewhat high-scoring. Now the sacks... they could get multiple sacks... don't see 5. I can see the turnovers. Defensive TD? Maybe. As for Manningham, very hard to predict. I think Smitty has a better game. Manningham had no catches for two weeks and then a few last week. All depends. This is a game I think the Giants will pass in though.

matt (clifton ny)

What is the Chance Kiwi gets put on IR? If so who would fill his roster spot?Boothe?

Ohm
  (12:49 PM)

Matt, there's a chance. I think the Giants will wait on Kiwi a bit more. At least through Bye week. If they put him on IR, could be Boothe.

Eddie in Jersey (Uhhhh Jersey)

Romo or Orton?

Ohm
  (12:50 PM)

Eddie... you got a good dilemma there. I know Orton has been throwing like crazy... and he has OAK... but I think I go Romo on Monday Night. He's been throwing like crazy as well. And he has to win this game.

Jc (Fort Myers, FL)

Hey Ohm. Biggest reason for the defense's turn around. Fewell, better safety play, or a healthy dline? Also Cory Webster has been playing like a probowler your thoughts?

Ohm
  (12:50 PM)

All of those reasons JC... Fewell, safeties have been terrific and D-line has been a monster. I don't know if Webster is there yet. Not quite yet.

Mike (Danbury, CT)

Whats crackalacking Ohmboy! I was just wondering about Chad Jones recovery, not necessarily football wise, but just in general. Im assuming no news is good news...

Ohm
  (12:52 PM)

Mikey... yeah, I think my boy Garafolo from Star Ledger did a great story on Chad Jones a few weeks ago. I think he is progressing but a long long road to recovery. But I think he is doing as well as can be from what I read.

Brian (NJ)

Whats up Ohm? Would you start the Giants Defense vs the Cowboys or Chargers Defense vs the Patriots? and Why does it seem like Osi is being overlooked all across the NFL? Where are the defensive Player of the Year talks that he deserves? You should write an article and draw some attention for him.

Ohm
  (12:54 PM)

B... do you read me dawg? http://es.pn/8YAerU Wrote all about your boy on Tuesday. LOL. As for your defense, I think I go Giants defense even though I see Dallas scoring points. Hope for sacks and turnovers.

Al (NYC)

A friend of mine recently said that the giants have 2 future hall-of-fame wideouts (Nicks, Smith)...Any thoughts on this? Also, anyone from this current Giants squad you can see in the Hall of Fame?

Ohm
  (12:56 PM)

Al... tell your friend to ease his roll. I like Smitty and Nicks. But future Hall of Fame wideouts? Whoa. Got a long, long, long, long way to go before then. Let's put it this way... as a Redskins fan growing up, I had a long wait to see Art Monk get in the Hall of Fame. And he had as many catches as anyone for a long, long time. Nicks is a great playmaker. But he has a ways to go. As for anybody else on this current roster... Eli would have to win maybe another Super Bowl... Osi has to keep playing at a high level and get a bunch of sacks. Tuck, same thing...

Andrew (Radford, VA)

hey man how do you think the giants combat the anger of the cowboys and stop them from using it to try and take advantage of the game?

Ohm
  (12:58 PM)

Andrew... I know psych wa smy minor at Michigan State but I'm not really feeling you on this question. Are you saying that they somehow stop the Cowboys from using their anger against the Giants? And how would they do that? Giants need to hope that the Cowboys keep making stupid penalties by being too emotional. If I am the Giants... I let the Cowboys act like a bunch of angry dudes. Ok... that's my psycho-analysis for the chat.

Jose Cuervo (Puerto Rico)

What do you think the key to a Giants victory is?

Ohm
  (12:58 PM)

Mr. Cuervo... get ton's of pressure on Romo, win the turnover battle and run effectively. Scoring in red zone a must as well.

mike (eatontown)

Ohm..i do you think the d line can get pressure on romo

Ohm
  (12:59 PM)

Mike... yes. I do. I don't see 5+ sacks or anything. But I think they can get to him. They have to. Don't want to risk much with Austin and Bryant and Williams out there as well as Witten.

Shuls (Connecticut)

How will the Giants' 4-2-5 (3 safety nickel package) stand up to the Dallas offense with Austin demanding at least a safety over the top, Williams' resurgence, and Witten in the seam? Not to mention their pass-catching backfield...

Ohm
  (1:00 PM)

Shuls... the three safety look works. Keep one on top of Austin... the other plays in the box, and another on Witten. Let the corners handle Williams and Dez. And make sure you get pressure on Romo.

Anthony Amodeo (NJ)

Illmatic or Stillmatic?and can Giants O line handle Cowboys pass rush?

Ohm
  (1:01 PM)

Illmatico! LOL. Going to be a major major test for Giants offensive line. Dallas d-line is tough. But they have been playing better and O'Hara looks like he will be OK.

ruben (new bedford,ma)

do you think the giants will make it to the play offs

Ohm
  (1:02 PM)

I do Ruben... I think they win 10 games and make the playoffs.

wayne (brooklyn)

can the G-Men put together a complete game and finally put the Cowboys out of there misery.

Ohm
  (1:02 PM)

Wayne... they can. I think you are definitely right... we haven't seen a complete game from them. Yeah, they smoked the Bears but they didn't play a complete game offensively. This could come close on Monday for the offense. But I think Dallas wins.

Dustin Keller (NYC)

W/ S Holmes back, will I still get looks from Sanchez after the bye? I'm feeling unloved the past two weeks...

Ohm
  (1:03 PM)

D... looks like you will get some red zone targets but Sanchize hs too many dudes to throw to. And he's been throwing a lot to Braylon lately too. I don't think you will be seeing same targets as before Santonio came back. Sorry.

Gunny D (Seattle)

My Man Ohm, what up?Thx 4 all of the NYG info, I always look fwd 2 what u have to say. What r ur impressions of Shawn Andrew's play? Has he had any problems w/his back?

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

Gunny... thanks man. Will be in your hood in a few weeks. And I think Seahawks will be tough. Shawn Andrews has played alright. Nothing spectacular. His back is holding up. Remember, this is his first football in a while and he is learning a new team. They have used him a bit as tight end eligible.

Nik (Branford)

Speeking of Kiwi, what are the odds that he resigns here/ wants to resign here with our logjam at d end?

Ohm
  (1:06 PM)

Nik... it all depends on how much money Giants offer him. At the end of the day, Kiwi got to take care of Kiwi. And he will. If the Giants offer him a good contract, my guess is he stays no matter how many defensive ends are there because the Giants find ways to use him. But it is important to him that he does play defensive end as well. But he knows if he went to say the Rams, to play for Spags, he might not win.

Snooki (Jersey Shore)

Snooki want smush smush!

Ohm
  (1:07 PM)

Snooks... stop fighting with Angelina! By the way, did you see Matt Dodge's quote of the year last week? He actually did the Jersey Shore fist pump on the field after a long punt... as if he were in the club! Tynes said, I saw you get your Jersey Shore on at the 50!

J (Boston)

Are you starting Eli over Cutler this week?

Ohm
  (1:08 PM)

J... I'm not because I don't have either quarterback. But for you, I would start Eli over Cutler. I know Redskins secondary is shaky. But Cutler doesn't have any time to throw. Eli has weapons, better offensive line and is on Monday Night.

NYGiants4Natic (Dirty Jersey)

Hey Ohm, Do you think the Giants can put the Boys to sleep this Monday night or will they not show up and get punched by the desperate Cowboys. Let me know bro

Ohm
  (1:09 PM)

Bro... Giants show up. But desperate Cowboys edge them out. That's my guess.

Bryan (NY)

Is it ok if I tell people we're friends?

Ohm
  (1:09 PM)

Well, considering I've never met you... I guess it's cool. Whatever helps with the ladies man.

Snooki (Jersey Shore)

Did you see the South Park episode that made fun of me Ohm? That wasn't cool, I don't act like that

Ohm
  (1:10 PM)

Oh wow. Nah, I didn't see it. What they do? Did they make you look all orange? Who would do that to my beloved Snooks?

Bill Youngmisuk (Dad?)

What up pops? Sparty going unbeaten this year or what?

Ohm
  (1:11 PM)

Like Skee-Lo... I wish, I wish, I wish. Don't see it happening. But this is our best chance ever at doing that. This weekend has major letdown written all over it. NW had crazy spread offense that gives State trouble. And then next week, at Iowa. If they somehow get through the next two games, the last dangerous game is at Penn State, where they always lose.

Billy (Michigan)

Ohm, what up my man! Early bowl projections have MSU in a BCS game. Sparty!!

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

B... Like a true diehard Spartan... I don't want to look past this week. LOL! I am terrified of the letdown. I hate playing NW there. They always give us fits. But I recognize... if we are ever going to go to a Rose Bowl, this has to be the year. It has to be. Nebraska next year, Big Ten championship game... we need to do it this year.

Eddie in Jersey (Uhhhh Jersey)

Obviously Rolle has been very vocal about the new "Instant Suspensions" for hard hitting in the NFL. Any of the other defensive guys going on record against it? Oh and Snookie wants smoosh, smoosh.

Ohm
  (1:13 PM)

I LOVE all these Snooki smush, smush references. So funny! We will talk to the players in a few minutes.

joe (philly)

jonathon goff...beast?

Ohm
  (1:13 PM)

Joe... ease your roll kid. Not a beast yet. But let me say... he has been a lot better than many of us, including myself, expected. He has been very solid.

DC (PA)

you helped last week...so let's see what you got this week. Big Ben or Eli? Thanks bro!

Ohm
  (1:14 PM)

DC... Big Ben homey.

Khalid (Elmont, NY)

Why didnt the giants look into picking up Derrick Ward?

Ohm
  (1:15 PM)

Khalid... I think DWard was out of shape, according to reports out of Tampa. Also, they have Ware as third back although they never use him. As of now, they barely use Jacobs. So they probably just want to keep it at two backs. I think they just saw no need to go down that road again although DWard was terrific here.

Aaron (Madison, WI)

What do you make of Nicks performance last week? Aberration or will he be able to adjust? Also what's the new on Andre Brown?

Ohm
  (1:16 PM)

Aaron, Nicks is going to see more games like this.. he will garner more attention. And Eli likes to go with whovever is open and then he tends to lock in sometimes on that receiver. You will see some Smith games, and other Nicks games. As for Andre Brown... I think he got waived recently by Denver but may be picked up to their practice squad again. I think that was the last thing I read.

Rocky (ky)

Word up ohm do you see the dallas game as a trap game we have played so well and dallas so bad. I think that we are the better team, but think the cowgirls are due.Plus why is boss not getting any love in the passing game.

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Rocky. I do see see Dallas winning this game. But it's no trap game. A trap game means the Giants don't see this coming. They definitely know what Dallas is capable of. As for Boss... they need him to block more these days. And they don't nearly use the TE enough in passing game if you ask me.

Hakeem Nicks (East Rutherford)

I'm not a hall of fame wideout yet? Well then you're not a hall of fame writer yet! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Hakeem, you are my man. But you're not in the Hall of Fame yet and I will never make it to the Hall of Fame of writers. Just keeping it real.

Curt (New Jersey)

I keep hearing about Nicks and the revitalized D, but what about the run game? Bradshaw is on pace for 1,200 something yards. Pro Bowl for him?

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

C... Bradshaw has been great. For sure. He churns the yards out. He runs so hard. I hope he can stay healthy. If he keeps it up... Pro Bowl a possibility but there are a lot of other RBs in NFC. LeSean McCoy, for example, has been terrific.

Rocky (ky)

Ohm love the chats bro. How do you really feel about the giants going into the playoffs/superbowl run?

Ohm
  (1:19 PM)

Rocky... I got the Giants going to the playoffs. Super Bowl run... I don't see them winning more than a game or two. Don't see them coming out of NFC. But it's still early. Ask me before the playoffs begin.

Snooki (Jersey Shore)

They made me into this fat orange beast who wanted to smush every guy I saw... wait, I guess they nailed it

Ohm
  (1:19 PM)

All Snooks... I gotta watch it then! LOL.

Mike (NY)

Ohm- still think its going to be tough for the Giants to win 10. 3-3 in divison play and a win vs the Jags puts them at 8 wins, you think they can win 2 out of 3 against Seattle, Minny, and GB on the road?

Ohm
  (1:21 PM)

Mike... you are right. I think they can win in Seattle. Minny and GB... I had them as automatic losses when sked came out. Who knows, though, what the Pack will look like by then with so many injuries. They have a shot at taking 2 of those games...

JZ (Joy-zee)

thoughts on Dodge? is he improving or still getting stagefright? he looks shaky taking those snaps.

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

JZ... still getting stagefright on first punt. But getting better... definitely getting better. The dude did the Jersey Shore fist pump on the field. He's got to be getting better to do that!

B (NC)

OHM! Andre Brown has been signed to the Colts practice squad. And the South Park Jersey Shore episode was epic!

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

Ah, there you go... Andre Brown in Indy with injury to Addai. Nice work kid.

John Q (Ohio)

Whats goody? Is Osi's knee anything to worry about?

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

Just routine managing the injury from what I understand...

Ohm
  (1:23 PM)

Just routine managing the injury from what I understand...

Ohm
  (1:23 PM)

Just routine managing the injury from what I understand...

Mike (NJ)

Ohm, 25 wins for the Nets...over or under?

Ohm
  (1:23 PM)

Over... barely, if over. LOL. Prob 30 wins.

JZ (Joy-zee)

is it hard to concentrate on the game in Dallas with those cheerleaders?

Ohm
  (1:24 PM)

Dude. We are so high up, we can't see them. Wait... Jerry has that big TV there... On second thought...

Eli Manning (East Rutherford, NJ)

Overrated really? What does a playa got do to get some love around here?

Ohm
  (1:25 PM)

Gotta win another one I guess Eli... Not me that said you are overrated.

Eddie in Jersey (Uhhhh Jersey)

How do you think they will scheme defensively this week against an 80% pass offense. Cheap plug for Ohm. Join his in game chats on Giants gameday. Most fun you can have without getting fined by Goodell.

Ohm
  (1:26 PM)

Thanks man... I should hire you as PR director. Hmm... I think more of the 4-2-5... three safeties... lots of DBs... one or two linebackers... bring the pass rush, move defensive ends around.

Rossy Ross (morristown nj)

Ohm, my man in amsterdam! Since Cruz is IR and Moss is AWOL does that mean Barden is the 4th? Or has Calhoun jumoed him?

Ohm
  (1:26 PM)

Rossy Ross... Moss is on IR too. LOL. Barden is definitely #4. Calhoun #5.

Rocky (ky)

Ohm, whats up with barden is he ever going to be the red zone threat everyone says he is?How do you think KP is doing I don't here much about him but I think he is great!Plus got to sneak this in all the way from ky got made love for you snooki love the show!

Ohm
  (1:28 PM)

Well, don't see it right now. Manningham is definitely the third receiver so they use him more. Although we had a Beckum sighting in end zone last week! KP is doing well. Still coming into shape. He clocked Megatron last week on one play. Thanks for the love from Kentucky. Although, Mich State will beat them Cats in basketball! Actually, Cats always scare me. We never match up well with Cal's athletes.

Mitch (LA)

Over/Under Knicks Wins...41?

Ohm
  (1:28 PM)

Right about there.. I see Knicks winning about 38-44 wins... sorry, I know I am not answering that question but if they get Melo... major spike.

Mike Sorrentino - The Situation (Jersey Shore)

Ohm, I've got a situation here. Should I start Felix Jones or Fred Jackson this week? I hate bye weeks!

Ohm
  (1:29 PM)

PPR? Wow that is a tough one. I think go Felix. Could get ugly vs Baltimore.

Brian (NJ)

Best TE pick up option if Gates can't go for me this week? Shiancoe, Heath Miller, or Celek? By the way I do ready your blog but must have missed the Osi story thanks for the reply

Ohm
  (1:31 PM)

Wow... all them dudes are available for you? I'd go any of them... I guess Shiancoe with Favre being back in GB. But Miller will see more catches from Big Ben and Celek is great too with Kolb. Tough tough choice.

Ohm
  (1:31 PM)

Alright guys... got to run to locker room... anymore fantasy questions, send them to @NotoriousOHM on Twitter. Thanks for the time homeys!
