Good to have you. Another large week in MMA as we look back at last weekend's 2 shows & preview this Saturday's UFC 124 in Montreal. If I miss your question here, you can find me on Twitter- @Jon_Anik or email email@example.com. MMA Live is tomorrow night on ESPN2, 12:30A ET/9:30P PT. Let's vent.
Think Big Sexy McCorckle has a chance against Struve?
Yup. My pick is Struve, but I don't expect an easy fight. And in MMA, almost everyone seemingly has a 'chance'.
ANIK! See you in Toronto buddy!
Hope to be there, man! Excited for all of the Toronto folks. Overdue.
How did Brookins look to you on Saturday?
Great, b/c he had the chance to respond to fairly major adversity in that first round. Really liked the way he fought through that. I wouldn't call him the most naturally-gifted fighter in the world, but he works damn hard and is as coachable as it gets. Excited to see him progress.
Is the strikeforce card up for card of the year?
Not for me. Great show. Unbelievable knockouts. I just feel like there were some mismatches and the results were not totally unexpected. Definitely thought Paul Daley and Robbie Lawler would have first-round knockouts.
Looks like Daley might get Diaz in January. You like his chances?
Many see Paul Daley as a Top 10 welterweight in the world. I think he's right on the fringe and can knock any other welterweight out on any given night. Love that fight. Early lean towards Diaz.
did you feel bad for matt lindland, should he stick to coaching after the brutal knockouts he has had?
Yeah, no more. Please.
Jon, I think Koscheck is a much more developed fighter since GSP Koscheck 1 than GSP is. Koscheck is the biggest threat to his title so far, I got him winning what about you?
One of our MMA Live staffers, Anthony Spadacenta, seems convinced Koscheck is gonna pull it out. You're not the only ones who feel that way. Spoke with Koscheck for a good 8 minutes this AM and he is in a great place for this fight. That said, I just think GSP will be too much. Both have evolved tremendously. St. Pierre is the best in the world.
Kos has never been in a 5 round fight.. Will that be a factor in your opinion?
Sometimes even the most conditioned fighters gas and it's unrelated to the length of the fight. Depends how hard Koscheck has to work if and when he is put on his back. You just prepare and hope your cardio doesn't abandon you when you need it most. I am very excited for this main event. Hate that I'll be stuck in CT!
Could you please elaborate more on your "mismatches" comment on the strikeforce card? If lindland even attempted to use some of his wrestling he may have had a chance. Smith just beat Cung Le about a year ago which shows he's still a game fighter. Kyle obviously wasn't mismatched considering he almost won and hendo and "bubblegum" are pretty much in the same boat.
The Kyle-Big Foot fight was terrific and I shouldn't overlook that. I don't intend to take away from the winning fighters. The Hendo result surprised me, especially the brevity of that fight. But Scott Smith and Lindland were huge underdogs who few gave a chance to win.
With Sylvester Stallone getting into the boxing Hall of Fame (which I actually think is well deserved), how long before we see Ralph Macchio in the UFC Hall of Fame?
Definitely think Stallone's nod is appropriate. I'm just looking forward to the time when the UFC builds an actual Hall of Fame.
Beside the Main event, this weekends UFC card is terrible
Not the deepest card in the world, but you've got a strong LW prospect in Charles Oliviera who most people are very high on. I love the John Howard-Thiago Alves fight. Think Howard might shock some people in that one. And there's a 6"11" guy on the card, too.
When can we expect Chael on MMA live, brother?
Chael Sonnen will be back in Bristol, CT next Thursday.
This week, Pat Miletich and the victorious Stephan Bonnar in-studio. We'll talk to Georges St-Pierre, Josh Koscheck, and Ben Henderson.
Do you like the idea of a Chael vs. Wandi fight? If so, does Silva have a shot?
I think Sonnen would be way too much for Wanderlei at this stage. Perhaps the time off has helped Silva, but Chael just smashed Anderson Silva.
Is Sonnen going to answer (or be asked) uncomfortable questions about the inconsistencies of his testimony to the Commission?
We will address the hearing.
Regarding the Pham/Garcia decison; I know you've been around a long time and there have certainly been some questionable calls, but can you remember a more obvious blown decision than that?
Not really. I watched every second of those 15 minutes and scored it 30-27 for Nam Phan.
How soon do you see the UFC moving to a 220 lb champion and then a "Super" Heavyweight class from 222-265? That just seems to be a huge gap and I think it would really open things up.
Not soon. The UFC just absorbed the WEC and expanded with 135 and 145 lbs. divisions. There are now 7 UFC champions as opposed to 5. 9 UFC champions is too much. Isn't it?
Have you spoken to KenFlo since his injury? Any scoops? How is he doing?
Yes. He's not happy. Really was in good form with training and to have to pull out of a main event is crushing. But it's out of his control for now and hopefully there won't be surgery.
is hendo getting a title shot? id rather seem him fight King Mo
Looks as though Hendo will get the shot against Feijao. Strongly believe King Mo is the best light heavyweight on the Strikeforce roster and will be back in title fight in 1-2 fights.
JA, there may be 7 UFC champions as opposed to 5, but there are 7 Zuffa champions as opposed to 8.
That is true. But there is already talk of a flyweight division. I just think 9-10 divisions is bordering on overkill. You have to be careful with that.
Speaking of the 145
Ya know, Anthony Pettis is a hard guy to pick against and his fight with Ben Henderson has the potential for greatness. I just can't pick against Henderson and look forward to talking to him tomorrow. And I think Dominick Cruz will have an easier time defending his belt.
What did you watch live? What did you tivo this past weekend?
Watched 'The Ultimate Fighter' finale live. Efforted to mix Strikeforce in live, but that didn't work.
Gotta watch Bonnar live, right?
Do you think that Dana made those comments about Jackson's camp to get them to fight each other in the future?
I don't think Dana White had other motives. Guys won't fight guys they don't want to fight. Dana just speaks his mind.
I'm more excited about WEC 53 then UFC 124. What about you?
For me, Georges St. Pierre is the face of the UFC. When he fights, it's the biggest show in sports.
Do you think that the atrocious judging has started turning fans off of UFC. I've lost interest after some decisions by judges that were absolute jokes. Extremely unprofessional.
Good question. It is very off-putting. When new or casual MMA fans see decisions like Phan-Garcia, they are turned off in a big way. But overall, the product is so good and I think fans put up with some of the inconvenient truths of MMA/UFC and other combat sports.
when lesnar fights it was the biggest show, until we found out a girl can take punches better than him
Brock will always be the biggest draw. When he was the heavyweight champion, he was the face.
Is it me or are the inmates running the aslyum at SF?
I just wish there was more structure, but I can't comment on exactly what's going on internally because I don't know. I'd just like to see more aggressive matchmaking and more consistent appearances for the top names and top prospects.
JA, who is your fighter of the year in MMA? I have Dunham, even though he lost via decision, even his opponent thought he won.
Frankie Edgar. To vote for anyone else is unfathomable for me. He beat B.J. Penn. Twice.
any word on when Shogun v.s Rashad will be and where it will be
Nothing official. Vegas has the line out there. I think Rashad Evans is +155. But no definitive date or location.
The UFC 126 show has 3 Legit Main Event fights, while the New Years eve UFC is lacking any star power. Maynard vs Edgar II is not exactly pulling the casual viewer
The Jose Aldo injury was a big blow to UFC 125. That certainly could hold up as the co-main event. Injuries are a massive inconvenience for the UFC. And part of me thinks they expedited the process with the WEC merger because they needed fights.
Can you ask Bonnar on the show where we can pick up the "Trash Talkin Kids" tshirts? I've looked everywhere online and cannot find them!
I will. If not on the show, we'll post something on Twitter. He'll be thrilled that you asked.
Any word on if Bonnar is going to fix that grill? If not he could always be in the next dumb and dumber movie.
Got the tooth fixed before the fight.
Who do you think is next for Bonnar, and do you think he could get the loser of Franklin-Griffin?
As most of you know, rarely does the UFC match up a fighter who lost his last fight with a fighter who has won his last fight. But in this case, I think it makes sense. Bonnar has beaten two guys to get to the level of a Forrest Griffin or Rich Franklin. So the timing might make sense. And don't count Stephan out.
If Maynard knocks off Frankie, and BJ rattles off a win or two at WW, Would be awesome to see BJ be given another LW shot, because Maynard ducked him for so long.
You'd have to think Penn is rooting for Maynard in a big way. Doubt very much that Penn would fight Edgar again, but you know he has visions of being the lightweight champion again.
Why would BJ get a title shot at 155 for winning at 170???
Do you think Chael will sit until the winner of Vitor-Silva or will he fight again before that? Also, If Vitor wins, does he get Silva again or the champ?
Your guess is as good as mine and might be better. If it was my call, I would hold Chael out and, if Anderson Silva wins, I would give him the rematch. If Vitor Belfort wins, I might give the fight to Yushin Okami and rematch Silva-Sonnen anyway.
What's next for Damien Maia?
That guy is good. Just love watching him transition and advance position. And, as Joe Rogan pointed out, he looks so much different physically than he did in his UFC debut and even recent fights. He'll get a top name. Maybe he can avenge the loss to Marquardt? Didn't Nate knock him out quickly?
Do you think ufc 124 is worth $60?
As stated previously, when Georges St. Pierre fights, the UFC is the biggest show in sports. So, yes. Got any buddies who would pitch in? Maybe I'll send you a 10-spot.
If BJ does somehow beat Fitch in an impressive fashion, how can the UFC sell another fight with GSP when BJ has never shown any signs of life against him? This is why fighting at 170 makes no sense for him. I liked the novelty fight against Hughes, but if a barely 155 Frankie can manhandle him, GSP will terrorize him again.
I agree that another GSP-Penn fight would be fruitless. But I do think there are a ton of big fights for B.J. Penn at 170. Fitch, obviously. Thiago Alves, Carlos Condit, Jake Ellenberger. Those are fun fights for B.J. Not always about the belt.
I don't know how cable or Direct TV schedule it, but if you have FIOS, the PPV is replaying Sunday morning at 9am for $10 less.
Watch it live!!! I know you will be in Malden.
My UFC 124 picks: GSP, Alves, Oliveira, Struve, Almeida, Hazelett, Dan Miller, Stevenson, Makdessi, Natal, and Riddle. What do you see my record being?
I agree with most of those plays. Still going with John Howard to get TKO victory over Thiago Alves.
How do you know where I will be? I can't stay up until 1am. By 10:30, I'm asleep.
Just figured a hardcore fan like yourself would watch the PPVs live. But I get it. I'm old now and can sympathize.
Will Alves-Howard really be a stand up war or will one of them take it to the ground?
I think it's inevitable that it hits the ground and that's where I think Howard might be able to land a few fight-changing shots, even from his back. Dude is a spark plug.
What do u think about Bears vs Pats this weekend?
Close game. Still reveling in 45-3.
Has Koscheck's striking improved to the point that he can stand and trade with GSP?
He will try. Koscheck was adamant in our interview this morning that he is willing to get knocked out. A lot of fighters aren't. Koscheck will try to maximize this opportunity. He's not looking to 'survive' 25 minutes w/ GSP. Order it up.
Any chance Robbie Lawlor gets another shot at the UFC? He is only 31, and proved this weekend he can still throw some leather. His loss to Nick Diaz back in the day is still my favorite fight of all time. That beard is out of control.
I'd like to see him get that opportunity. Fighting Matt Lindland at this stage is kind of a waste of time, no?
loved the SC commercial you posted with GSP
LOVE that MMA worked its way into a SportsCenter commercial. If that isn't progress...
any chance phil davis gets bonnar next?
When will an event come to the Maryland/DC area?
I don't know. Clearly, there is an appetite for it. Hit Dana White up on Twitter. He is highly responsive.
Robbie is 28 and he can't wrestle a lick
Wasn't sure about the age. Born in 1982.
But Robbie is never on his back, great takedown defense!
That requires me to have a twitter account. Can you just tell him that Greg from Ellicott City wants an event in the area?
Twitter is a great conduit for MMA fans. A huge number of UFC fighters are on there and the UFC does a great job getting them out there.
Stand and trade with GSP?! When was the last time GSP stood and traded with anyone (besides a pudgy BJ Penn)?
I get it. Just think he was asking if their striking is comparable, and I think it's not that far off. I just feel like GSP is a master at transitioning, dictating pace/rhythm and is gonna be too much for Koscheck. But I almost always root for heavy underdogs, so go Kos.
Another guillotine win for McKenzie. What is that, 10 wins in a row by guillotine?
Dude's got one powerful squeeze. He may never be well-rounded enough to compete with the elite, but that choke is vicious. And I would imagine intimidating.
Please ask Sonnen about the discrepancies in his his testimony vs other published comments about informing the NV commish.
I believe we will have Josh Gross on tomorrow to break it all down and then Chael should be in-studio the following week.
Chost! You are the reason I broke my own rule and signed up for a Twitter account. And I also started to follow Miguel Torres. Highly entertaining! PS- I think the Pats just scored again!
I still can't get over how accessible fighters/athletes are on Twitter. 45-3. Belichick > GSP
If Kos loses does the UFC match him up with Hardy?
Quite possibly. That's another guy I'd like to see B.J. Penn fight at 170.
Bonnar is pretty slick on the ground. He should go to it more often, no?
Underrated on the ground, for sure. But when you have a chin like that, it's hard not to box. And his style means he'll always have a job.
Late to the party so I apologize if it has already been asked, but where do you see Strikeforce at this time next year? Will they progress as a national MMA league or regress back to a regional promotion?
Perhaps neither. Could just idle, with 3-4 big shows/year and not much continuity when it comes to champions and title defenses, etc. I just think they need bodies and I don't necessarily mean fighters.
Jon.. gotta give the prediction for UFC 124 before the end of the chat..
Georges St. Pierre by 5th-round TKO.
COME ON I'VE POSTED MY QUESTION LIKE 20 TIMES
Lot of traffic. Post now and I'll try to pluck it before end of chat.
What do you think about the new 1/2 point judging they're trying out in California this coming year? Think it'll make it to the pros?
We'll see how it goes. It is one of a handful of potential solutions. Some have suggested you go with 5 judges. Others like me believe 10-10 and 10-8 rounds need to be scored much more liberally before any judge will ever write down 10-9.5. Need to re-define what a 10-8 round is, relative to a 10-9 round.
I think Fedor's legend will be tainted if he never fights in the UFC! It is the equivalent of a football player never playing in the NFL. What do you think?
Every time I consider questioning Fedor's legacy, I go to Sherdog.com and look at his resume. He will always be considered an all-time great. But that said, he is still elite and MMA fans deserve to see him fight the other elite guys. Hopefully he will fight Alistair Overeem soon.
zuffa has 66% of the best fighters in the world agree or disagree?
Have no idea how to answer that question. Percentage could be even higher.
Do you think the UFC will try to get Lesnar on the big show in Toronto?
That's a possibility. Toronto is gonna turn out and blow it out regardless, so maybe they'd save Lesnar for a Vegas show.
Jon, do you know if Bellator has stopped there lawsuit against Zuffa pertaining to Jonathan Brookins?
I would imagine so, but not certain. Seems as though Brookins' UFC career is moving forward.
Lawler is 28 not 31, someone posted he was 31 earlier!
Yeah, we got in there and corrected it.
Have fun with pat in studio today. Anything special planned for my Iowan brother?
We will recap Strikeforce and the TUF 12 finale. Interviews with GSP, Koscheck, and Ben Henderson.
Jon Anik. any news on fedor ??
Looking to get contract situation resolved shortly. Hopefully, Fedor will be on at least 2, possibly 3 Strikeforce shows in 2011.
PLEASE NO RAMPAGE VS TONEY!!!
I'm with ya.
can you still show knockouts on MMA Live?
Certain fight finishes can be shown. Others cannot, as has always been the case.
Why does Sonnen get so much love for losing? He's a steroid user who's never won a title.
I think you know the answer. Because he dominated Anderson Silva for 23 minutes. And Anderson is perhaps the best mixed martial artist of all time.
Am I the only one who thinks Pettis is going to put it on Ben Henderson? And Gray Maynard would be the worst thing to happen to the lightweight division if he beats Frankie. A wrestler who will lay and pray his way to boring decisions forever.
Firstly, you are definitely not alone on the Pettis bandwagon. I like Henderson, but Pettis is worthy of the challenge. And don't worry about Maynard. Edgar will win.
Without Gina Carano, I've totally forgotten about female MMA. Do you think Arianny can fight?
Don't want Arianny to fight. And she says she's a lover. As for women's MMA, Cyborg is the only fighter who piques my interest.
Any plans on taking the show to Vegas for Superbowl?
I hope so, brother.
Jon are you going to weigh in on Chael's verdict? I mean is this guy honest or a politician?
I think the truth may lie somewhere in-between. A fighter's testosterone level certainly should not be significantly higher than his opponent's. I doubt very much that's what Chael had in mind or was trying to achieve, but there are some inconsistencies. Look forward to hearing from Chael first-hand next week.
Why is everyone and their Grandma calling out Wandi?
Because he is an exciting, big-name opponent who many middleweights believe they can knock out. He is a legend of the sport that any fighter would want on his ledger.
Is it just me, or was the Garcia decision really not that bad? The 1st and 3rd round could have gone either way.
I actually talked to one friend at ESPN who said he could understand why the 1st and 3rd rounds went to Garcia. I have since terminated the friendship.
Due to DVR conflict between the wife and I, I could only choose one MMA show to record, and thankfully I chose Strikeforce. Obvioulsy we had some crazy finishes and exicting fights?.are you of the opinion that the finishes were due to aggressive fighting styles or mismatches? If it was due to mismatches, do you think that could become a trend to get the finishes that fans obviously enjoy?
Addressed this earlier in the chat, so feel free to read back up. I think the results were a combination of styles and (mis)matchmaking.
i posted my question atleast 10 times :(
Post again. We like Russia.
Last call...and remember, overflow on Twitter @Jon_Anik. Will get to them later today.
we all know the feeling SASHA, believe me Jon is fare
does phil davis get vera/silva winner?
Makes sense to me. We'll see.
Mismatches can only go so far to help a promotion. People will talk about a ko for a week or so. A great back and forth fight and people will talk about it forever.
Jon, I have been a big fan of MMA for about 2 years but I am starting to lose interest. The current scoring system is encouraging fighters to take safe gameplans. Something is flawed when it seems a single takedown can win you a round, regardless of what else happened.
There are a lot of people who are frustrated. Fans, the UFC president, even my wife has mentioned decisions recently. I think reform is difficult to achieve and there are no easy solutions. But keep making noise and change will happen eventually.
Jon are you going to watch Dynamite on new years eve? if yes who are you picking on Mousasi fight?
I don't have HDNet anymore (I know), so I've gotta chase down the fights online. I like Mousasi.
Jon you'd like the NY Jets Jetblue plane. The Bostonians painted the score on it
If GSP knocks out Kos does that put him over Anderson Silva for #1 P4P?
Depends whose list you are talking about. And for me, it'll depend on how the fight goes down. Right now, I have Anderson Silva at #1.
Will mayweather ever fight again?
Yes. But not Pacquiao.
Mismatches and big finishes can also help build momentum for future fights.....i.e Paul Daley vs Nate Diaz!!!!!
JA! Kos is +350. You jumping on with me??
Rube. It's been a bad year. Best of luck.
would gsp beat anderson and will that fight ever happen
I don't know who would win, but I do believe the fight will happen. 2012.
Paying any attention to the Bruins?
You know it. Finally have NESN. No HDNet, but have NESN now.
What will Dana White do with Shane Carwin?
He'll be back in a big fight as soon as he's healthy. I think he will eventually face Cain Velasquez for the title.
Why is Pacquiao ducking Sergio Martinez?
Sergio Martinez is just a naturally bigger guy and not worth the risk/reward for Freddie Roach to allow it.
GSP vs. Shields, Toronto in April. Does it happen?
I wish I could say yes. I hope GSP returns that soon, but breath not being held. If he gets knocked out, that could expedite the return.
True or False, Oregon wins the BCS title game?
False. I hope, for your sake, to be wrong. Auburn just too good, top to bottom.
do u think Frank mir will ever be a Champion again>?
I hope so, but it'll be tough. Just not sure he matches up all that well with the current elites- Cain Velasquez, Junior Dos Santos, Shane Carwin.
Any word if Lesnar is back in training after the beatdown?
I would imagine Brock is one pissed-off dude, staying in great shape while hunting with a vengeance.
Fact or Fiction - Chuck Liddel fights in Toronto?
Koscheck was on Sportscenter, referencing Rocky 4 in his hype for the fight. That is awesome. Anyway, word is Diego v. Kampmann in March. Do you like the matchup?
Yeah, Kos did SC right after we spoke to him, so we heard it. Diego Sanchez-Martin Kampmann is great matchmaking. I think Kampmann is the more technical guy and the better athlete. But after witnessing live what Sanchez did to Paul Thiago, who knows?
Roach has come out and said that Martinez would be the best fight for Pacquiao but it's not clear what weight he envisions that fight happening at...
I'll believe it when I see it. What a fight that would be.
Hey Jon, any rumors on a possible date for the Velasquez-Dos Santos fight?
Nothing yet. No later than June.
how do you post something on someone elses twitter
Use the @ symbol, @Jon_Anik, etc.
Hey Jon I know GSP isn't a standup guy..do you think Roach is good or may hinder his standup..remember what happened to Arlovski..not sure but I still see georges taking this
I don't think there is much comparison to be drawn b/w Arlovski and GSP, nor would I relate any of Arlovski's results directly to Roach's guidance. I don't put much stock into Roach's assurance that GSP will knock Koscheck out. But clearly he liked what he saw. We see GSP fight so infrequently, so there is no telling how much he has improved.
Chost,So was Brock a complete product of UFC hype and never really had the MMA pedigree or more importantly the heart to take a punch or did he just get beat by a much better fighter?
I wouldn't go past tense on Lesnar just yet. He needs to learn how to better take a punch. Not saying he has to like it like Bonnar, but he has to get used to it. Brock is definitely not a product of any hype machine. He works as hard as most fighters in MMA and really desires to be great,
What sports star would you like to see devote himself to MMA?
Patrick Willis. Or maybe Ray Lewis, when he retires. Andre Johnson also looks the part at 205. And Danny Woodhead would be a tough out at bantamweight. Miguel Torres vs. Danny Woodhead.
Will we see GSP vs Penn 3?
sup anik long time reader first time chatter i just wanted to say im happy to finally find mma on alot of major websites i remember when i couldnt find nothing mma anywhere and this is by far my fav good job with the show and the chat and who are your pics this weekend?
Thanks, Ramon. It is great to see all-around. At UFC 124, I like GSP, John Howard, Charles Oliviera, Mac Danzig and TJ Almeida. Also think Struve will find a way.
Jon, you letting the lettuce grow like your boy Baby Brady?
Got it all cut off yesterday. So liberating. Hate hair.
Which fighter out of the ones you have met or interviewed is the most intense?
Good question. Stephan Bonnar! Chael Sonnen has an intensity about him. Hector Lombard has an intimidating quality, but I wouldn't say he's all that intense. Bonnar and Josh Koscheck attack the interview process more than others.
Does ESPN try to make you grow the hair out? Mine always tries to make me wear pants.
Some producers have suggested it, but they don't threaten me or my loved ones.
Who is the most physically intimidating fighter in MMA? Overeem, Brock?
Have never met Overeem, so I will say Brock Lesnar. It is unreal to see guys like Lesnar and even Frank Mir completely fill up a doorway. Huge, huge men.
Can I have a job on MMA Live?
If you've got a new gig for me...
Breaking News: Urban Meyer steps down as Head Coach of Florida. Will coach bowl game
Wow. Love the alert, Rube.
If a fighter can't defend their title every 4 months, they can't be champ. Thoughts?
I would just like to see some criteria. You can never fully account for injuries, but I also don't oppose interim title fights as much as others do. I think since Shogun will have been out a year, there should've been an interim title fight. Perhaps the UFC tried. Can't say for sure.
How can someone enter the next ultimate fighter? For example like me
They hold open tryouts.
Over/Under 170lb for Alves on Friday?
Over. He's allowed to be 171. And that's what he'll be.
Hey Jon, on GSP's ESPN commercial, was there a voice over there? That didn't really sound like him.
No, that was him.
Just want to say your awesome. Wilbon started a chat at 1:30 and has already packed it in, while your still going strong. Props man your time is greatly appreciated!
My pleasure, man. Really gotta go but I enjoy the back and forth w/ y'all.
Breaking News: Milli Vanilli star relaunching pop career!
Who is next for Sonnen, he said he knows, any guesses?
Will pick Chael's brain next week. I still think it'll be Anderson Silva, if he's willing to wait.
dana not being able to sign fedor was probably a blessing in disguise..these guys r asking for the world..your thoughts JA
I get what you're saying, but don't see it that way. MMA needs to see Fedor against the UFC's elite. That would complete a lot of people.
Man, it really is hard to get a question in. Oh, by the way, did I mention I just got engaged?
Congrats, Stupid Tim!
Who would you like to see Urijah Faber fight next?
Miguel Torres, but I'm not sure their calendars will align.
Your thoughts on the Red Sox signing Adrian Gonzalez?
His at-bats are of such a high quality. Stoked.
Alright, gotta bounce. MMA Live tomorrow night on ESPN2- check those DVRS. We've got GSP, Koscheck, Bonnar, Miletich, Ben Henderson and some stuff on Chael as well. Gonna be epic. Almost as epic as 45-3. Until next week, hit me up on Twitter - @Jon_Anik - and don't text and drive. - JA
