Bill Williamson
  (2:01 PM)

Hi everyone, let's get rolling.

Wayne (Denver)

Aside from public relations, does giving Elway final say in personnel make any sense? I'm worried.

Bill Williamson
  (2:02 PM)

There is risk invovled and a history in sports that legends don't fare well in the sports world off the field. But Elway is a smart guy. Let's see how it plays out.

Dennis (Riverside)

In the mock drafts, you have Julio Jones listed as the first pick for the Chargers. Don't you think the Rams might nab him before then? Instead, do you think we could maybe look into the second round for WR in Hankerson? Thanks!

Bill Williamson
  (2:03 PM)

These mcoks will change like crazy. But yes, I coudl see San Dieog taking a receiver early.

Chris (Lees Summit)

With McCoy staying in Denver, who do you see the Chiefs making their offensive coordinator? Do you think we will branch out somewhere or hire within?

Bill Williamson
  (2:05 PM)

We've heard the names of in-house candidates Maurice Carthon and Nick Sirianni, Arizona's Mike Miller and Tampa's Greg Loson. But it's pretty quiet. I'm making calls on it, but it's been quiet.

Robert Spencer (Clarksville TN)

Bill, any chance that Carolina could end up with Kyle Orton with a 2 or 3rd round pick with Thomas Davis or DeAngelo Williams involved?

Bill Williamson
  (2:07 PM)

Makes sense to me. But I don't think Denver would get a player and a third-round pick for Orton. May be a case of one or the other.

Chris (Lees Summit)

Being a huge Chiefs and MU Tigers fan, I've seen some mock drafts with the chiefs taking Aldon Smith. Do you think the Chiefs will go with a pass rusher with our first pick? I'd love to see aldon along side with Tamba

Bill Williamson
  (2:07 PM)

I think Smith is a real possibility in KC.

Joey (Tucson, AZ)

What are the odds of the Raiders getting Al Saunders and who may they be looking at for DC?

Bill Williamson
  (2:08 PM)

I would be surprised if Saudners wasn't the guy. Defensively, I wouldn't be totally stunned if DL coach Mike Waufle was promoted.

Colin (West virginia)

What do you expect from Mike Tolbert next season?

Bill Williamson
  (2:11 PM)

More of the same. I think Mathews will be the starter, but he has to prove he can stay healthy. Tolbert is a tough runner and he helps San Diego's offense greatly.

Aric (Madison, SD)

Hey, Bill. Who are some of the best candidates available to become the Broncos DC? Do you think they'll go after John Marshall?

Bill Williamson
  (2:14 PM)

No, I don't see them going to Marshall at this point. Green Bay d-line coahc Mike Trgovac was DC for John Fox in Carolian for six seasons. I think that can be a fit.

Big D (Colorado)

What is Denver's biggest upside?

Bill Williamson
  (2:15 PM)

The mountains ... Clady, the receivers, Tebow, DJ Williams.

Steve (Omaha)

would they ever be any change that the Chiefs would sign nnamdi asomugha this offseason? It isn't like they couldn't use a great shutdown corner.

Bill Williamson
  (2:15 PM)

The Chiefs are good at corner. I think they'd look elsewhere.

Mark (Kansas City)

Bill, the Chiefs have a tough schedule for 2011. Do you believe Matt Cassel is good enough to handle the better defenses of the NFL? Also, the Chiefs need to add to the WR core to take some pressure off Bowe, have any good ideas?

Bill Williamson
  (2:19 PM)

Cassel will have to continue to improve for sure. But I think he can handle the load. Yes, I see the Chiefs either drafting or signing a receiver in the offseason.

Tom (Milton, WI)

Hey buddy your prediction on the Bears Packers game,

Bill Williamson
  (2:19 PM)

Packers by 7-10.

Clifford (Mission, Canada)

Hey Bill love your blog, what do you think the Broncos should do with the 2nd overall pick? Do they trade down to get multiple picks or take the best player available...I know that history proves that trading the 2nd pick isn't done very often but in this case wouldn't it help the Broncos in the long run? Also even if the Broncos resign Champ wouldn't it be awesome to get one of the top corners (Peterson/Amukamara) in this years Draft or do they concentrate on the front seven?

Bill Williamson
  (2:24 PM)

It is tough to trade the No. 2 pick. But if they can, I bet the Broncos will look at that option. They have two second-round picks and they really have a bundle of early picks if they dealt the No. 2 pick. But the odds are Denver will kepe the pick. I think they should take Nick Fairley at No. 2 if they get the chance. He'; be a greta anchor to John Fox's defense.

Dominic (Phoenix)

as great of a future as the Chiefs have and they are going to have more good years to come do you see them having a slight setback next season with the brutal schedule they will have?

Bill Williamson
  (2:25 PM)

The Chiefs could maybe take a minor dip next year, but, overall, I think this is a franchise heading in the right direction.

MaxRaider (Rio Linda)

Houshmanzadeh or OchoCinco in Oakland? Seems very likely to me. Oakland could use either one as a possession receiver in my opinion. Keep up the good work Bill. Just a reminder, you know you get more hits from Raider Nation then the rest of the AFC West combined. LOL!

Bill Williamson
  (2:30 PM)

Both of these guys have played for Hue Jackson before. Housh was a free agent just before the season and he went to Baltimore. I think Ochocinco is a bigger possibility. He tweeted his congrats to Jackson when he was hired this week. I wouldn't be shocked in Ochocinco was in Oakland next season. The Raiders could use his veteran presence. I have a feeling we'll be talking about this one a lot in the coming weeks.

Scott (Amarillo)

I thought Robert Ayers was starting to come along nicely until he broke his foot. Do you think he could still be a player or is he a bust?

Bill Williamson
  (2:31 PM)

He can be decent, but he has to start showing it. I'm not sure if he's going to be a difference maker.

Mason (Philadelphia)

Who you got this weekend Bill? will you pick the Iron Curtain to stop the Jets cold?

Bill Williamson
  (2:32 PM)

Steelers in a doozy.

Sergio (Tijuana, Mexico)

What % chance do you see Asomugha signing in San Diego, final prediction of where end up playing?

Bill Williamson
  (2:33 PM)

1 percent ... Oakland.

Josh (New Mexico)

Bill what are the odds of Champ Baily Playing for the Denver Broncos next year?

Bill Williamson
  (2:33 PM)

49 percent.

Shawn (Toronto)

Do you think Andy Studebaker is good enough to be a solid starter for the Chiefs at OLB or should they be looking for an upgrade?

Bill Williamson
  (2:34 PM)

I think he is an interesting player. I think there is a place for him and he is getting better. He brings some things to the table.

Isiah (Denver)

With an entire overhaul to the broncos over the next few years how long will it be before they can be a playoff team and please don't say John fox got the Panthers to the SB in 2 years so it will be that long. i'm hoping for about 2015?

Bill Williamson
  (2:38 PM)

It can happen quickly. For Denver to make it to the Super Bowl in Fox's second season, it would need to draft great, add some pieces on defense and see Tebow develop very quickly. It will be difficult.

BJ (Indiana)

Mathews and Tolbert...the new LT and Turner?

Bill Williamson
  (2:39 PM)

They're good ... but let's hold off that comparision for a bit.

Keith (New Jersey)

who is a better quarterback overall? jason campbell or mark sanchez?

Bill Williamson
  (2:40 PM)

Sanchez is making his second trip to the AFC title game in his first two seasons and he's just 24. So ...

Keith (New Jersey)

is there a realistic possibility that the raiders trade up in the draft?

Bill Williamson
  (2:42 PM)

Sure, Oakland is aggresive. They are picking No. 48. I can see it, but it has to be careful. You don't want to lose next year's No. 1 pick just to recoup this year's. But if Oakland falls in love with a player, it could happen.

nathan (reno)

Nnamdi and Champ as cornerstones? Al will have lots of money to spend this offseason. what are the odds?

Bill Williamson
  (2:42 PM)

That would be cool, but Oakalnd wouldn't be able to afford anybody else.

Craig G. (Fairfield, California)

Hey Bill, with which teams do you think Nnamdi Asomugha would be a good fit?

Bill Williamson
  (2:42 PM)

I can think of 32.

Matt (Westchester)

What does Jay Cutler have to do to put the Bears in a winnable position? Im thinking 2 TD 1 INT would be ok

Bill Williamson
  (2:43 PM)

One interception would be dandy.

Derek (Toronto)

Any chance DJ Williams gets traded? What value could he bring

Bill Williamson
  (2:43 PM)

I don't think so. He's one of the Denver's better players.

Zac (Wichita)

Could you see the chiefs moving up to 10-15 in order to get julio jones?

Bill Williamson
  (2:45 PM)

I think KC will have interest in so many different spots -- WR, RT, DL, LB -- that they can wait and get a fine player at No. 21 without giving up anything.

Ray (El Paso)

Is Tebow the Starter week 1?

Bill Williamson
  (2:45 PM)

Yes, I think so.

John (Boulder)

So with Fox coming in...do you see him going hard after LBs in free agency. Barrett Ruud, Paul Posluszny and Chad Greenway could all be available. Each one of them seems like a "John Fox" type player. We all know that he loves his LBs too

Bill Williamson
  (2:45 PM)

I like Paul P. from Buffalo.

some guy (out back)

So how long does Hue Jackson last if he fails to make 8-8 next season?

Bill Williamson
  (2:46 PM)

Just loook at the history.

Keith (New Jersey)

any chance that the raiders could be thinking to sign asomugha to a 1 year deal and then trade him to another team?

Bill Williamson
  (2:47 PM)

Nice thought, but shouldn't they have just done that during last season if that was the plan?

Matt (Santa Barbara)

I think Huff is just as important to the secondary, if not more, than Nnamdi. The way the Raiders play defense his position is very difficult and makes him look bad on occasion, but he is improving and makes plays and clearly has the talent. Nnamdi's presences seems to allow teams to focus on the weaknesses of the other defensive backs. Agree?

Bill Williamson
  (2:47 PM)

No, sorry, I don't.

Ryan (San Diego)

He asked who the better qb was not who had the better team around him winning games for him. Campbell is better

Bill Williamson
  (2:48 PM)

Cool, that's your opinion. Everyone has opinions. That's why this is fun.

Rob (Chicago)

Is there a good chance that Micheal Bush will be back in Oakland next year?

Bill Williamson
  (2:50 PM)

The Raiders have a lot of free agents and some who are higher priorities. So, Bush could get lsot in the shuffle. I could see a team paying him to be its starter.

Ryan (San Diego)

Why would Asomugha go back to Oakland?

Bill Williamson
  (2:52 PM)

To finish something he started.

Skip (Oklahoma)

Could KC be waiting to find an OC who is still with one of the play off teams?

Bill Williamson
  (2:52 PM)

Yes, it's a possibility.

Kremz (Chicago)

Starting linebackers in Denver next year are Williams, Doom, and...... Woodyard? Hunter?

Bill Williamson
  (2:55 PM)

I think Woodyard would fit. But I see Denver drafting and/or signing a linebacker.

Sergio (Tijuana, Mexico)

What differences do you expect in the chargers defense under new DC Greg Manusky?

Bill Williamson
  (2:58 PM)

There will be subtle changes. He is more fiery than Rivera and the team will be a little more aggressive.

Sergio (Tijuana, Mexico)

What is the chargers opinion on Larry English is there still potential to be a productive pass rushing OLB or is this guy getting close to being a bust?

Bill Williamson
  (2:59 PM)

They have to keep him healthy. But it is time for him to get going.

Matt (Santa Barbara)

I know Hue said Campbell is the guy, but could Vince Young be a better long term solution?

Bill Williamson
  (3:00 PM)

I wouldn't be surprised if he was brought in as a backup with a chance to earn the job.

Keith (New Jersey)

what do you think about mike mitchell starting if michael huff isn't resigned?

Bill Williamson
  (3:01 PM)

I think he will get the chance if Huff is gone.

Bill Williamson
  (3:01 PM)

Great hour. Enjoy the the games. Talk to you next week.
