I just hope everybody enjoyed that Boston-Tampa Bay game as it was one of the best games of the year.

John (Boston)

Who sits when Bergy comes back for the Bruins? It clearly can't be Seguin now.

Barry Melrose
  (4:03 PM)

No it won't be Seguin. I think it will be Paille, Recchi or Kelly.

Pat (The moon)

The Lightning are heading back home with a 1-1 Tie, but the Bruins are expecting Bergeron back soon and have a 1-1 tie. Which team is in a better position?

Barry Melrose
  (4:04 PM)

I think Bruins fans have to wait until they see Bergeron back in the lineup before they get all hyped up. First the Bruins have to go down to Tampa Bay and get a split.

Stephen (Ann Arbor, MI)

Barry! I believe in Tampa Bay. They just look so fast and smooth out on the ice. With Roloson on his A-game, can this team win it all?

Barry Melrose
  (4:04 PM)

I think whoever wins the West will win the Stanley Cup but Tampa Bay is playing very very well.

Nick (Minnesota)

With Boston having some success in the playoffs last year, and going farther this year, and with good young players like segiun breaking out, do you see Boston as a team that will be playing at this level for years to come?

Barry Melrose
  (4:05 PM)

Boston has a good nucleus, two good goalies and everybody apart from Mark Recchi is pretty young.

josh (DC)

I think the Flyers need a vocal leader in the locker room. Do you think if Mike Richards relinquished the "C", Pronger would accept it? Both will be around for a long time (on the payroll, anyways)...

Barry Melrose
  (4:06 PM)

I don't think Richards is going to relinquish the "C". I think if Philly gets an elite goaltender then all their problems will be solved.

Keith Dotson (Leominster, MA )

With the amount of concussions sustained by the Bruins this year, and the fact that the B's can win without him, should they have Patrice Bergeron in the lineup for any of the games in the forseeable future?

Barry Melrose
  (4:07 PM)

I think they have to go forward counting on him not being able to play in the playoffs. If he's able to play great but go on like he's not going to play.

Mel (San Diego)

Your vote for the best remaining playoff beard?

Barry Melrose
  (4:09 PM)

That's good! And I saw it last night. Kessler has a good beard, Mark Recchi has a good beard but I'm going with Tyler Seguin. He's rocking the Amish beard.

Evgeni N (Long Island, NY)

Do the Sharks miss Nabokov?

Barry Melrose
  (4:10 PM)

I think their goaltending has been great. I think Niittymaki has played well for them in the second and third rounds.

Mel (San Diego)

If Thornton and Kessler do come to fisticuffs to start game 2, which team will have the advantage while both are in the box?

Barry Melrose
  (4:11 PM)

I would say it's a push. They are best very valuable to their teams and I don't think either team will have an advantage with those players sitting for five minutes.

Mel (San Diego)

Your vote for rookie of the year?

Barry Melrose
  (4:12 PM)

I would vote for Skinner from Carolina only because he's a couple years younger than Couture.

The Mule (Detroit, MI)

It seems like every year come playoff time, Detroit is hobbled with injuries. Do u think a healthy Red Wings team can win it all next year?

Barry Melrose
  (4:14 PM)

Unfortunately when you get older, you start getting injuries and that's one of the things that is happening with Detroit. In a perfect world, with no injuries on any team, Detroit will be one of the teams in the running to win a Cup.

Mel (San Diego)

What are your thoughts on a Gordie Howe comeback?

Barry Melrose
  (4:14 PM)

I think it's bound to happen.

Henrik L (NY, NY)

Is Luongo overrated?

Barry Melrose
  (4:15 PM)

Maybe a little bit. We'll find out at the end of these playoffs. If he wins the Stanley Cup, he'll have a gold medal and a Stanley Cup. Not many goalies have that.

Andy (Las Vegas)

Sharks-Canucks...Who has the edge at this point, and who do you like to advance?

Barry Melrose
  (4:16 PM)

I liked the Vancouver Canucks from day one and I still think they are the best team in the NHL and I think they will win the Stanley Cup.

Jimmy (Chicago, IL)

I got Kessler at 10-1 to win the Conn Smythe - is that a good bet?

Barry Melrose
  (4:17 PM)

I would say right now he is one of the four or five guys that have a legitimate chance to win. He's certainly in the running.

Brian (San jose)

What can the sharks do tonite to slow down the play and hard style that Vancouver ?

Barry Melrose
  (4:18 PM)

I thought the Sharks played pretty good in Game 1. They have to stay out of the penalty box because they can't give up plays to Vancouver. And when they get the lead, they can't go into a defensive shell.

Shawn (Michigan)

Does Stevie Y get his 1st cup as GM before Ken Holland gets another??

Barry Melrose
  (4:19 PM)

Good question! I would say no.

Shortrib (Memphis, TN)

What type of material is the puck made of?

Barry Melrose
  (4:19 PM)

It's made out of recycled rubber.

Barry Melrose
  (4:20 PM)

I hope the rest of the games are as good as the ones last night. Talk to you next week.
