Hang on guys, Stephania is running a little bit late and will be here within the next 10 minutes to take your questions.
Hi gang:Sorry - a few technical difficulties - but I've arrived. Lots of questions so let's get to 'em...
Stephania, your thoughts on David Wrights injury lasting throughout the year? Thanks.
Mark: Wright is supposed to be re-evaluated (I think today) to determine whether he's ready to resume baseball activities. Here's the unique thing about this type of injury. We don't know for sure that the fracture just happened. The definition of stress fracture is the failure of the bone to repeated stresses. Many times we see that these are present - and can be asymptomatic - until something flares it up. So it's then reasonable to expect that the "crack" may not totally disappear. It really comes down to function. Can he return and remain pain-free through the rest of the season? He could - but we don't know if he will.
What is the latest on Garza, need him back
Drew: Well, you won't get him this weekend. He's going to be at least a bit delayed in his return. Bullpen scheduled for today and will be interesting to see as he throws harder whether he feels it at all in the elbow. If he does, will push him back further.
BUSTER!!!!!! Help me off the ledge here. What do you expect the long term impact of this injury to be? To hard to know right now? Is there a history with other players we can look to?
Guys, there's been a power outage and Stephania doesn't have any internet connection. Hopefully we'll get her back online soon.
