Chat with David Newton

David Newton
  (1:59 PM)

Before we get started, keep colleague Ed Hinton and his family in your thoughts as he lost his wife on Tuesday. Now let's get to the questions.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Which Female Drivers has made their Sprint Cup Series Debuts at Michigan?

David Newton
  (2:01 PM)

Dang, first again. Must be a record. Stumped me with that one. Janet Guthrie I believe made her debut at Charlotte. Suppose you know the answer?

dan (washington dc)

Who are the top 4 drivers at michigan tht you think will finish the best??/ In what order???

David Newton
  (2:02 PM)

Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin.

Jay (Virginia)

It was great to see Richie Evans get into the HOF. Any idea why the Modifieds haven't gained more national popularity/coverage? They always put on a great show

David Newton
  (2:03 PM)

It was great to see. Maybe it'll open the door for Buzzie Reutimann featured in my column on ESPN.com today. Can't answer why they haven't gotten more exposure only to say that minor leagues in all sports get less coverage.

jesse (iowa)

Hey Newt! i am looking into doing the same thing as you. what kinda degree did you get? and are there any universities you would recommend? thanks

David Newton
  (2:04 PM)

I went to Wofford with a degree in English. Was headed to law school when I stumbled into journalism. Lots of great schools, though. Northwestern where my friend Nate Ryan from USA Today attended might be closest to you.

Austin (Denver)

With Hamilton and Stewart all smiles yesterday, is there a chance maybe we see a Sebastian Vettel/Kasey Kahne seat swap later this year?

David Newton
  (2:05 PM)

Heck, I don't know. I'm waiting for somebody to swap seats with me, let me drive and them write and criticize me.

Tyler (Minnesota )

Why do you think it is that with four cars teams there is always one car that struggles?

David Newton
  (2:05 PM)

Wish I knew, but it seems that way. The only time I remember when that wasn't the case was when Roush put five cars in the Chase a few years ago.

jesse (iowa)

after watching Lewis Hamilton yesterday after the ride swap with tony stewart, do you think if tony doesnt get danica patrick to drive in sprint cup full time down the line, Lewis Hamilton could be a fit for a third ride at shr?

David Newton
  (2:06 PM)

First, Danica likely would be the third car. Not sure Stewart is so anxious to go to four.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Who do you think will drive for Team Red Bull in 2012 Replacing Kasey Kahne & Will Ryan Newman re-sign with Stewart-Haas Racing if Not who will drive for Stewart-Haas Racing in 2012?

David Newton
  (2:08 PM)

I still like Mark Martin at Red Bull, maybe sharing a few races with Cole Whitt. Newman is an interesting one. He and Stewart have a solid relationship and Newman is in the top 10 right now, but sponsors haven't latched onto him. That's what makes the world go around. If he doesn't re-sign I'm not sure where he lands. Maybe Penske will expand back to three and give him a second chance.

David (Tucson, AZ)

Who would you name as some of the favorites to win at michigan?

David Newton
  (2:08 PM)

Look below.

Michael tyson front royal va [via mobile]

Hi david: where do you put jeff gordon on the all time list? Thanks

David Newton
  (2:09 PM)

Wow. That's a tough one. I rank Pearson No. 1, Petty 2 . . . Johnson three and after that you have to look at Gordon.

Michael tyson front royal va [via mobile]

Hi david: where do you put jeff gordon on the all time list? Do you thank he will ever win is 5th champ yes or no? Thanks

David Newton
  (2:09 PM)

By the way, you were great in Hangover II. Just ranked Gordon in previos question. A for fifth title, I'd say he can do it. I also thought Tiger Woods was a sho-in to break Nicklaus' record and now I'm not so sure.

Rick ma [via mobile]

David i think if the 42 gets a top 15 this week he will be in good shape for the chase with the tracks coming up. I got the 42,33,39,16,4 for the 2 wild card spots. What do you think?

David Newton
  (2:10 PM)

I think he'll still need to win one of the road course races to have a legit shot.

Bill (Scranton, PA)

Hi David, Do you think Kyle can simply refuse to feud with Harvick and continue to have NASCAR keep him in check or does Kyle keep throwing the little fish back?

David Newton
  (2:11 PM)

I don't see him biting on Harvick's bate. I really don't see Harvick taking a shot at him. I think it's all mind games, to see how mentally strong Kyle is.

Jim (NY)

Do you think Red Bull might do one of these driver swaps with Sebastian Vettel and Kasey Kahne so the fans could see how a NASCAR driver in his prime runs in a F1 car?

David Newton
  (2:11 PM)

Wow, two questions on this. Have you guys heard something I haven't. No indication.

Don (Ohio)

How did NASCAR make the drivers shift gears 600 times at Pocono like Tony Stewart was complaining about?

David Newton
  (2:12 PM)

Nobody made anybody do anything. Gordon said he shifted less than anybody the first half of the race. Tony was just hot becaues he had problems.

Lee Ann (Rutherford, TN)

With the recent behavior of alcohol/liquor sponsored Childress and Harvick in recent weeks, do you think it is time that NASCAR banned alcohol/liquor sponsors like they did tobacco?

David Newton
  (2:12 PM)

Not at all. The sponsor didn't have anything to do with their behavior.

Dave (Newport, KY)

Hey David, when NASCAR had to warn Harvick about running the #18 off the racing surface at Pocono, do you think that was a violation of Harvick's probation?

David Newton
  (2:13 PM)

Nope. He never really did anything but play with Kyle.

James (Dunwoody, GA)

Mr. Newton, do you think NASCAR will order Harvick to the hauler on Friday to warn him to watch his mouth with the media and knock off the funny business with the #18 on the track?

David Newton
  (2:13 PM)

They could, but I wouldn't. Let Harvick make his own bed and reap the benefits if he gets out of line. They've already warned him enough.

Tom (Covington, TX)

Do you agree with HOF member DW that Harvick will never be a Sprint Cup champion as long as he's more focused on Kyle Busch than his own performance?

David Newton
  (2:14 PM)

No, because I don't think Kyle is his focus. Have you looked at how many times he's won this season?

Joe (NJ)

Hi David, were you surprised that NASCAR let Harvick get away with making post race threats against Kyle Busch at Pocono and do you think that puts him in hot water with Mr. Helton?

David Newton
  (2:15 PM)

Knowing Harvick I wasn't surprised at all. I expected it, which is why I was first on pit road waiting to talk to him after the race. Helton has dealt with a lot worse, so he can handle himself.

john (chicago)

hey david which scenario do u see more likely in 2012 UPS sponsoring carl edwards or clint bowyer?

David Newton
  (2:15 PM)

Edwards if you make me choose.

Nate (Lancaster, TX)

Hey Newt, does it seem to you that Kyle's non-violence is a sign of strength while the Childress/Harvick violence toward Kyle is a sign of desperation and weakness?

David Newton
  (2:17 PM)

Not at all. I see it as a sign of Kyle has a sponsor that doesn't want him fighting and Kyle has a belief that you have a better chance at winning the title with more friends than eneemies on the track. I wouldn't call Childress or Harvick weak.

Andy (Conn.)

Do you think Dale Jr can win the Sprint Cup without winning 1 single race?

David Newton
  (2:17 PM)

I don't think anybody can.

your name chris (your locationpa)

hey david do u see landon cassill getting a a ride with a solit team next year

David Newton
  (2:18 PM)

He's shown moments of deserving one, but there aren't a lot of solid rides available, so probably not.

jesse (iowa)

whos your pick to win this weekend? i have kasey kahne and david ragen running really strong?

David Newton
  (2:18 PM)

Bold picks. Mine are below.

dan (DC)

What are the top ten drivers at michigan this week???In what order

David Newton
  (2:19 PM)

Again, Edwards, Biffle, Gordon and Martin, but I'm not married to the last two.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

If the Nationwide Series moves to the Brickyard how will they fit the Kroger 200 at Lucas Raceway Park?

David Newton
  (2:19 PM)

Fit? Lucas Raceway Park, and I apologize for calling it ORP yesterday (old habits die hard) would still have the Truck race.

AAA Rockingham NC [via mobile]

What can be expected out of the 56 with new CC for this weekend. Worked well last weekend and Pocono. Fillin my roster for yahoo! Thanks Newt

David Newton
  (2:21 PM)

I believe it's going to be a fuel mileage win for somebody, so that opens up half the field. I like the new pairing for Truex, but in all honestly they have been working closer than Truex was with Tryson all season.

Cory (Geneva, IL)

So far at the Chase Tracks run, Jr. has an average finish of 6.6, with 3 top 5's, 6 top 10's and a 12th in 7 races. At what point do we consider him a legit contender for a title?

David Newton
  (2:21 PM)

When he wins a race and is putting up the same numbers in the Chase.

Rick ma [via mobile]

David, i think the 24 ,11 will finish in the top 10 for the chase. I see the 33,39 will drop out and battle the 4,16,42 for the wildcards. How do you see it?

David Newton
  (2:22 PM)

Agree on Gordon and Newman. Not so sure about Bowyer, but can see the rest you predict coming true.

Matthew (Columbia, NJ)

David, I saw in an article the other day that some people know that Greg Biffle regrets re-signing with Roush already. Do you agree?

David Newton
  (2:23 PM)

Nope. He's the perfect fit there. Not sure another team would have give him what he's getting.

Ryan (Reynoldsburg,Ohio)

1st off i would like to wish my condolences to Mr. Hinton. For thoes of us that do not know alot about Snow Hinton could you tell us a little about her or share a quick story.

David Newton
  (2:24 PM)

I honestly never got to know her, but from stories others have told she was respected when she was in the business. Hopefully, Ed is back soon and can share some great memories with you.

Jenny (Elizabethtown LA)

With Jeff Gordon winning 2 races this year how will he do the rest of the year? Thanks for your time

David Newton
  (2:24 PM)

I don't think we've seen the last of him in Victory Lane. I look for him to be one of five guys competing for the title.

Tracy (CT)

Okay with your Indy wanting NW story I have a question. Does that NW race they want take away from the ORP race? IF so that is a bigger joke than adding another Kansas race! IMS may be a great venue but its a snoozer that is totaly over priced! ORP has great races yearly!

David Newton
  (2:25 PM)

Yes, it does take away from ORP. It makes sense. IMS needs more on-track activity to sell more tickts. It all comes back to money.

Tracy (CT)

I'm sure I can speak for the regulars on the comment board when I say best wishes go out to the Hinton family. Hope he is doing okay.

David Newton
  (2:26 PM)

Received an email from him the other day and he is doing best he can under the circumstances.

David Newton
  (2:26 PM)

Received an email from him the other day and he is doing best he can under the circumstances.

jesse (iowa)

What are your favorite moments form michigan?

David Newton
  (2:27 PM)

Wasn't it Michigan where Carl Edwards ended his losing streak and his truck driver got to shave his beard? That was pretty cool. Seeing Junior win on fuel mileage was cool as well. But my favorite moment was watching fellow writer Dustin Long celebrate our annual hoops game at the Residence Inn with shouts of "My House." Priceless.

Nick Rolando (Orlando)

David, first of all I heard about Mr. Hinton's wife I must say my thoughts and prayers are with those hurting. Any update with regards to the UPS/Edwards position and who would sponsor 6 if the UPS deal switched?

David Newton
  (2:28 PM)

No update on Edwards and UPS, but promise to check at Sonoma next weekend. Taking a break from Michigan. But UPS and Edwards does make sense if that is what it takes to get the sponsor to stay at Roush.

jesse (iowa)

whats the latest on the nationwide series raceing at the famed brickyard in 2012? what are the chances this will happen?

David Newton
  (2:28 PM)

Nothing has changed since I wrote the story yesterday. I'd say it's a pretty good chance based on my conversations.

Rick ma [via mobile]

David i think the 33 is about to drop out of the top 10 in the pts and will have to battle four other cars for the wildcard. With the 29 running well but the 33,27,31 not up to par is the 29 covering up rcr's performance issues?

David Newton
  (2:29 PM)

I wouldn't go that far. Burton has had some good runs with some bad luck. And Menard has done better than a lot of people thought.

Mark (Waynesburg Pa)

what is your take on Dale Jr's season so far? and is he capable of winning the championship?

David Newton
  (2:30 PM)

I'd give it a B-plus so far, maybe even an A-minus. With Hendrick cars and talent that I believe is underrated I do believe he can contend if he can get over the hump and get to Victory Lane.

David (Los Angeles)

There will be lots of talk this week about the 3 years since Junior's last win. Isn't the bigger story that Junior is 10 points out of first and would be the points leader is not for a cut tire at Daytona?

David Newton
  (2:31 PM)

Good point. We've written enough about the losing streak, and other drivers such as Harvick have had streaks longer than that.

David (Los Angeles)

What are your thoughts on MWR? A couple of years ago, I thought they were primed to join the elite. Reutimann and Truex are good drivers. What do you think is missing?

David Newton
  (2:32 PM)

You may have just answered the question. Reutimann and Truex are good drivers. It takes great drivers to reach the elite. Having said that, it's not as simple as the drivers. The whole program needs to step up. They aren't even contending for wins.

Emily (NJ)

David, first I want to give my sincerest apologies and condolences to Mr. Hinton and his family. God bless. Ok, now I wanted to thank you for the article you wrote last week on the beauty of Pocono. I still think a lot of people give it way too much criticism than it deserves. Beautiful area, better racing than people think, and it always draws well. Thanks again!

David Newton
  (2:33 PM)

Thanks, and I'm sure Ed appreciates your thoughts. As for Pocono, I may have been guilty of piling on about the race being too long, but beyond that there is a lot to like. I just decided it was time to point that out.

Eric (Houston)

At the half way point to the chase, has Jeff Gordon all but guaranteed a chase berth with two wins? Also, which accomplishment do you think Rick Hendrick is most proud of: Dale Jr's consistency or Gordon's wins.

David Newton
  (2:34 PM)

Gordon is a lock. Because Rick has won titles with Gordon and he admits getting Dale Jr. into championship form has been the toughest task of his career, I'll go with Junior's consistency.

Matt (Virginia)

If David Ragan stays about where he is in the standings, do you see him keeping his ride at RFR for next year? Seems like he's come a long way to cut ties now.

David Newton
  (2:35 PM)

It'll all depend on sponsorship. If UPS leaves and another sponsor is more willing to support another driver over him, Roush will have to make a change.

Keith H (Seattle)

David, before we get too wrapped up in this, let's take a moment for Ed Hinton and his family. For those who don't know, Mrs. Hinton passed away earlier this week. Thank you.

David Newton
  (2:36 PM)

Thanks. I mentioned that at the beginning of the chat. We all wish Ed and his family well.

Ricky (North Carolina)

Will the games continue between the guys at RCR and Kyle Busch like they did with Harvick and Busch last week or has NASCAR warned these guys?

David Newton
  (2:36 PM)

NASCAR has warned enough. Let the games continue.

Ben spencer (Winston-Salem NC)

Who would you have on your fantasy team this week besides the Roush guys

David Newton
  (2:37 PM)

I really believe Gordon has momentum that makes him a threat the next few weeks. Because it'll be a fuel mileage race in all likelihood you can go with 15 to 20 drivers.

Lance (Iowa)

IMO the only thing missing from the 88 is qualifying better AND leading laps. Is qualifying/track position the only thing keeping them from leading laps or are they still a bit off in some other areas?

David Newton
  (2:38 PM)

They've had good speed under race conditions, but do need to lead more laps. I can't blame it all on qualifying. Harvick and Kenseth have combined for what, five wins, and neither of them qualify well.

Roscoe (Cali)

Will Kyle play with Kyle's mind this weekend?

David Newton
  (2:38 PM)

Harvick is banking on it.

Dave (Long Island)

Thoughts and prayers to Ed and his family. Did Snow have a current favorite driver? We should root for that driver in her honor.

David Newton
  (2:40 PM)

She worked with several drivers such as Earnhardt, Parsons and Waltrip, but I'm not aware she pulled for one driver. Ed being the impartial journalist that he is would probably prefer your thoughts rather than cheers.

Jamerson (Georgia)

Are there any rumors of any teams courting Mark Martin for 2012 yet? I would think his phone would've started ringing already.

David Newton
  (2:41 PM)

I'm sure he has options. Red Bull officials haven't ruled him out. Perhaps Turner Motorsports will look at adding a Cup team. He'll be just fine.

Renata (Atlanta)

Hi David,First, I really enjoyed your story on the Reutimanns. My question is who do you believe wins first, Denny Hamlin or Dale Jr.?

David Newton
  (2:42 PM)

Thanks. Reutimanns were a hoot. Interesting on Hamlin and Jr. I'll go with Hamlin but for no real concrete reason other than he's won a lot the last few years.

Julie, TX [via mobile]

As a female racing fan, I've always looked up to Pamela Snow. What's your favorite memory of her?

David Newton
  (2:43 PM)

Will pass that along to Ed. I regret never getting the opportunity to know her. I hear she was a great lady.

Gene (Ohio)

How are ticket sales at Michigan?

David Newton
  (2:44 PM)

Haven't seen any numbers, but if they are like most tracks this year they should see an increase.

David Newton
  (2:44 PM)

If you're not watching on ESPN, Phil Mickelson is up to his knees in rough at the U.S. Open.

Ron (OH)

Are the top 12 in points now the 12 that will make the Chase? If not who doesn't make it?

David Newton
  (2:45 PM)

No, the top 10 in points make the Chase. The next two spots will go to drivers 11-20 who have the most wins. If none have wins, then they'll revert to 11th and 12th in points.

Paul (Atlanta, GA) [via mobile]

I got really into the NBA playoffs this season and it got me thinking... which drivers do you think are the equivalent of the Heat and the Mavs? Have to think Kyle Busch is the Miami but I'm struggling with the Dallas version. Thoughts?

David Newton
  (2:48 PM)

Loved the NBA playoffs this year. Congrats to Dallas. Good call on Busch. Tons of talent with no title. As for Dallas, hard one. Michael Waltrip would be the Mark Cuban but he doesn't have the talent to win it all. Jimmie Johnson would be more like Dirk. Will give it more thought.

Octo (My own universe! )

Duh duh duh duh duh I heart Kyle dud duh duh I should get out of the House, and who win this weekend?

David Newton
  (2:48 PM)

Duh, duh, duh see below.

Tracy (CT)

Did you know that Jr has the best finishing position at the 7 chase tracks we have run so far? 6.57. That should upset a few people!

David Newton
  (2:49 PM)

I had seen that, and not sure why it would upset anybody.

Ron (OH)

Why does NASCAR say "drivers have at it" then last Sunday tell Kyle and Kevin to knock it off?

David Newton
  (2:50 PM)

They were warned because they are on probation and NASCAR has to maintain some order.

Scott M. (Iowa) [via mobile]

Harvick has said that his feud with Ky. Busch isn't over. What track do you think he goes after him at and will NASCAR be looking at them?

David Newton
  (2:50 PM)

I think it's all a mind game. Sometimes the threat of payback is worse than the payback.

Dave (San Diego [via mobile]

Can jr win this weekend

David Newton
  (2:50 PM)

Sure. He did three years ago.

Scott M. (Iowa) [via mobile]

Harvick has said that his feud with Ky. Busch isn't over. What track do you think he goes after him at and will NASCAR be looking at them?

David Newton
  (2:50 PM)

See previous answer.

LeBron James, South Beach [via mobile]

Thought I would make an appearance early in your chat.. before I disappear before the end.

David Newton
  (2:51 PM)

I'd take time to chat, but I'm choking on my lunch.

Glenn (Louisiana)

Why did there seem to be far less two car drafting at Pocono like there is at Talledega and Daytona?

David Newton
  (2:51 PM)

Because they run plates at Dega and Daytona. That helps create the draft.

stump (MO)

If the chase started today, would the 24 be placed in the 2nd spot?

David Newton
  (2:52 PM)

Tied for it with other drivers with two wins, although he probably would show up behind those tied with 2 wins because of points position.

Marty G. [via mobile]

Has there ever been a NASCAR riot like we saw in Vancouver last night?

David Newton
  (2:52 PM)

Closest I can remember is when Gordon took a win from Junior at Dega and the fans rained Gordon with beer cans.

Chris (Iowa)

David - With NASCAR and some of the tracks beefing up their safety features (new catch fences at Talladega, new safer barriers in the infield at Pocono, etc) why are some tracks like Kansas and Texas allowed to have no infield wall to protect pit road? I understand these tracks have in infield oval for Legends-type races but can't they at least erect some sort of temporary wall? You'd think with infield slides like we've seen Busch and others make recently that they could have easily lost control and went straight to pit road where any car or pit crew member could be in danger. I just don't see how safety can be such a high priority yet some tracks don't have anything to stop an out of control car from heading straight for pit road. Shouldn't NASCAR demand walls for safety (even knowing that NASCAR essentially owns some of the offending tracks like Kansas)?

David Newton
  (2:54 PM)

Not sure that is necessary. Never seen a car slide into others on pit road, and if I have it escapes my memory. But I like some of the upgrades, particularly at Pocono where in practice we saw one of the cars hit what was an unprotected area a year ago.

Scott (Charlotte)

David, you may want to tell Jesse (Iowa) that Lewis Hamilton has a 27 million a year deal with McClaren. Don't think Tony can top that.

David Newton
  (2:55 PM)

Tony is rich, but not that rich.

Jeremy (Port Angeles, WA)

Who do you think will announced what team they will be racing for in 2012 between Danica & Carl 1st?

David Newton
  (2:55 PM)

Gonna be close. Both need to get something done soon, but I'll go with Carl.

Jeff (SC)

First off, Condolences to Mr Hinton and his family. Very sad.Has the track in Texas been started for F1? Hamilton wouldnt come to Nascar would he ? Dont they make significantly more money in F1

David Newton
  (2:57 PM)

I don't se Hamilton in NASCAR. Was just a nice publiicity move. And yes, Hamilton makes far more in F1 than he ever could in NASCAR. Not sure on the track in Texas, and thanks for condolences for Ed and his family.

Jamerson (Georgia)

Newsflash, Newt. When you get multiple submissions of the same question under different names, its probably the Octo-Troll. Especially when its an obscure question like talking about Vettel and Kahne trying out each other's cars.

David Newton
  (2:57 PM)

Agree. Sometimes I post so fast that I don't notice till I'm answering it.

Dave, Little Rock [via mobile]

Do you think Kyle Busch is really as hated as the media makes him out to be? I know a number of diehard NASCAR fans (in addition to myself) and none of us hate him and think he's good for the sport.

David Newton
  (2:58 PM)

I don't hate him, either. I respect him as a driver and love what he brings to the sport. He does get a lot of boos, but so did Jeff Gordon early in his career.

David (Los Angeles)

I know the season is far from over, but Dale Jr. is 10 pts. out of first, and would be the points leader if not for a cut tire. Many of the media members dismissed Junior as having his best days behind him. Is it time for them that their assertions may have been premature?

David Newton
  (2:58 PM)

I never said his best says were behind him. If you read me over the past few years I've said he has something left in the tank.

dave (pa)

I showed up to our local dirt track friday, and saturday of last week to be surprised by hearing on friday night Tony Stewart was 3rd quick in time trials. I live in Central PA and the sprint car racing is tough around here. Whats your opinion on Tony just showing up and racing a 410 sprint car.

David Newton
  (2:59 PM)

Hey, he's always done that. He loves to race. Didn't hear about the race you mentioned, but I'm not surprised. He's one of the best.

Joe (South Carolina) [via mobile]

Is the way I feel about hockey the way people in the North feel about NASCAR?

David Newton
  (3:00 PM)

I don't think it's quite the same, although being from South Carolina I undertstand what you mean about hockey.

Tom (Aurora, IL)

David, now with JG winning for the second time this year, how long before Jr, gets his first?

David Newton
  (3:00 PM)

Daytona.

David (Los Angeles)

Why can't we Nascar see that trading a Pocono date for an Iowa date would be beneficial? The Cup series is in need of more side by side racing and with the COT that only happens at tracks 1 mile or less.

David Newton
  (3:01 PM)

I may give away a Michigan date before Pocono. But I agree Iowa should get a date.

David (Los Angeles)

What are your thoughts on Elliott Sadler's season? What do you think a Nationwide Title would mean to him?

David Newton
  (3:01 PM)

Pretty good so far. Surprised he hasn't won, but I predicted before the season he'd win the title. I suspect it would prove to some he can still drive.

Scott M. (Iowa) [via mobile]

With Kyle Busch having candy as his sponsor and Kevin Harvick having beer, is it fair to say that Kyle really can't fight with Harvick because he might lose a sponsor?

David Newton
  (3:01 PM)

That plays into it.

Teri (Burbank)

How is Ernie? Will Matt Kenseth get another win this year?

David Newton
  (3:02 PM)

Barking at the mail lady now. And it wouldn't surprise me to see Matt get a few more wins. He's looking good.

David Newton
  (3:02 PM)

Have to run. As usual, sorry I couldn't get to all the questions. If you still have one send it to me at @dnewtonespn on twitter and I'll do my best to answer.
