Happy Friday everyone! Day 1B is underway and there's now a bar in the Amazon Room. It's going to be a fun day.

Jamie (Maryland)

Its the summer of Mercier: bracelets, backing coups, and dominance (combined as an owner w/ Jason Somerville) of the Vegas WSOP 25k fantasy league. Obv going to make the November nine no?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:03 PM)

Haha. Yea, he's running really bad right now. #whenwillitend has become my favorite hash tag.

Slick (Southside)

If numbers are under 1000 again today, can the ME pull in 2,000+ on each weekend day to at least give us a field of 5,000?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:06 PM)

I think we'll get over 5K. The weekend days will probably have at least 1,500 players each.

blackshap9 (montreal)

why didnt espn allow a live streem of 50k tourny? i wud of watched it on tv again to see hole cards.

Andrew Feldman
  (4:07 PM)

We did have a live stream on ESPN3.com, but unfortunately it isn't available to everyone (depends on your cable provider). The edited (with hole cards) show will debut in early August.

Shawn (Hellabama)

Can I call the clock on Andrew?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:07 PM)

No. Sorry, was just stunned by something on media row.

Kurt (Indy)

Does Phil Hellmuth really only behave that way when camera's are around to promote himself or does he act that way when they aren't? I'm not sure if I was the only one rooting against him but I can't stand the way he puts on a show.

Andrew Feldman
  (4:10 PM)

He knows when the cameras are on him. Away from poker, Hellmuth is genuinely a different person.

James (Florida)

What was the story with Doyle at the Featured table?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:10 PM)

Not much of a story, he didn't last very long.

Eric (LA)

Better for poker, Jason Alexander makes FT or a woman makes FT?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:10 PM)

Jason Alexander. Barely.

Mason Roberge (North Berwick, Maine)

Andrew,Big Fan of your blogs and articles. who is your favorite to win the 2011 WSOP Main Event and can you even pick a favorite with the number of players in the field and the amount of luck its going to take to win it?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:13 PM)

Thanks Mason. Big fan of North Berwick, Maine right now. It's definitely too early to pick a favorite. Give me a couple days and I'll have at least an educated guess.

blackshap9 (montreal)

did u speak to PH after his monumental loss in the 50k any stories about that?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:15 PM)

Sure did. He was really gracious to Rast and wasn't visually upset at all. He kept his head up, felt solace in the fact that he's the POY leader and was ready to have a deep run in the main. You can listen to the interview here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=6745430

Erik (DC)

I always get a kick out of the sometimes random celebrities who show up for the WSOP each year. Aside from Jason Alexander, do you know who else is playing this year?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:16 PM)

Paul Pierce was at the Rio today. Brad Garrett and Ray Romano are supposedly playing at well over the weekend. Not sure who else will make an appearance.

Jay (Albany, NY)

Heard anything about jungleman during the WSOP? I heard he had the most $ tied up in FTP, just wondering how he's funding all those big cash games.

Andrew Feldman
  (4:16 PM)

Not too much, but I'll ask him when I see him. I figured with all his success over the past few years, he had to have taken some money off...right?

Ryan (Vegas)

Any more rumors on Mr. Ivey making a surprise appearance?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:17 PM)

Rumors. Still doubtful in my mind.

Neal (Philly)

How many Mizrachis do you think will cash this year?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:18 PM)

Doesn't look good for Grinder right now, so I'll lead low with 2.

Beating a Dead Horse (Quincy)

Have you caught any of the Big Game on pokerstars.tv? Also what's going to happen with Poker After Dark?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:20 PM)

Haven't had time to watch...sorry Jobin. PAD is dead as of now.

Matthew (Long Beach CA)

Why wasn't Phil allowed to wear the Aria hat and shirt? Had to of cost him 100k or more.

Andrew Feldman
  (4:21 PM)

Yeah, Hellmuth's Aria deal is a hat deal and clearly he was upset that the WSOP wouldn't let him wear the hat with the logo the other night. The WSOP has new policies this year in attempts to preserve their company share when online poker becomes legalized. I don't love the new policies, but it is what it is.

Jobin (Quincy)

Going away from poker for a second... have you ever met Michelle Beadle? I bet she can't deny the Feld-charm.

Andrew Feldman
  (4:22 PM)

Course. Michelle is great.

Kevin (Buffalo)

What's your favorite WSOP moment that you have witnessed first hand?

Andrew Feldman
  (4:27 PM)

Ivey making the final table I think. Just such a buzz and excitement when he made it in, it was just an awesome moment to be part of.

Andrew Feldman
  (4:27 PM)

I hate to cut this short, but I have to run. See you all Monday and of course, for all up-to-date action, follow me on Twitter @ESPN_Poker.
