Welcome to Bubble Day everyone. Send in your questions now and I'll get started in a moment.
Is video allowed to be watched on players' iPads? Because they can stream espn3.com and watch while they are playing.
I'm pretty sure that they are not allowed to use those devices at the feature table.
Hey Andrew, Is there any way to watch the live coverage in Canada?
Check out WSOP.com if your area does not get ESPN3.com. Not sure if it will work for everyone, but that's what they told me to suggest.
What happened to seeing the hole cards last night on ESPN2?
Seems like we're now only able to reveal after the hands have been completed. I'm not positive on that, but after watching a little bit of the coverage last night, seems that's the case. I'll find out from the producers today.
The coverage yesterday was awesome, I watched every minute! What was the player consensus on the short delay and showing of the hole cards while the were on TV?
A lot of players in the room simply felt it was a great moment for the game. Not too many were concerned regarding hole cards. Obviously some will have differing opinions, but regardless, it was a big moment for the game.
This is probably a lot more feasible on Days 6-8 than Day 3, but any chance we get coverage at more than just 2 tables? Even if it's without hole card cams.
I've pushed a note their way saying we need some outside table coverage and I'm assuming that based on the bubble today, we'll see more coverage outside. Really not sure though...
Who haven't we seen so far that we should start paying attention to? Who is the most under-the-radar person still in?
Nicolas Fierro. Great online player from Chile who has a lot of chips at the moment.
Thoughts on the execution of TV coverage after one day? It seems like they have trouble going from action on the table to on-air graphics and to the commentators in a fast manner, but I'd expect there would be a bit of a learning curve on it.
It was our first day, we're going to learn any improve as we go, but i thought our first efforts were tremendous.
We're 70 spots from the bubble...people are flying out the door.
No question, just a comment. The coverage has been great. I love watching and hearing the commentary from the featured pros. Esfandiari was great.
Should we all start six-bet shoving with A6o preflop with deep stacks?
No. Probably not the best idea. Just sayin'.
Will the hole cards be shown as per advertised in future showings of the live coverage? They were briefly flashed at the ends of hands, but I was under the impression we'd see them during the hand.(nice to finally meet you btw!)
Nice to meet you too. As I said a couple minutes ago, I need to research what the new plans are and if there are new changes to the hole cards.
What has been the reaction to the 2's v K's hand?
Haha. I believe most people here are still stunned he called the six-bet all-in with the 2-2. Still crazy to me at least.
Will Hellmuth Make the Money?
He only needs to outlast about 60 more players and he knows how to get through the bubble. The question is if he has enough to bully or if he's going to be passive.
How many people has Shaun Deeb killed post-bustout to Max Rofls. Also, have you seen the side by side Max vs Max comparison? It's spot on! See here: http://t.co/pHy7DcO
Do you think the absence of online play has affected skill level at the WSOP this year? Benefit to the pros?
I think there are more pros here in general. Probably the most we've ever had and I think because of that the field is more aggressive and much tougher.
Loved the live coverage Andrew...Hope this is a new tradition and we add a few poker majors to the rotation. Can just imagine what legalized on-line poker and the new live coverage could do for the game.
Thanks Chris. I'd love to see more as well.
did Peter Eastgate make it to the ME? Have not heard anything about him at all
For the second year in a row, Eastgate did not play in the main event.
Andrew, loved the coverage last night. But, I'm a big poker fan. What has been the reaction from the casual fan?
I think the casual fans have enjoyed the coverage as well. Without the hole cards it's tougher to tell the story to the casual fan, but I think our announcers are going a great job explaining the situation.
Erick Lindgren update? Is he still around?
Sure is, near 400K
Amazing coverage by ESPN, congrats. Are Tuckman and Busquet...and for that matter the ESPN2 crew, about to receive and answer emails or tweets?
Sure, I'll solicit them now.
The live coverage was great last night. Your thoughts on the no talking about your hand when heads up? Seems Daniel was right on that the rule is just silly.
I think the more you can do to get information from your opponent, you should do it. That rule should be adjusted in my mind.
vote of support for the hidden hole cards till after the hands! lets the viewer thinks for themselves a bit more. coupled w/ Esfandiari's commentary it's much more interactive than the old format
Andrew, why the call to not have Norman Chad during the live shows?
He appeared on the E2 feed last night for a bit, but I'm unaware of the decisions that were made on that front. Sorry.
is this AJ Soprano's first WSOP appearance? does he have any pro chops or pure amateur?
He told me last night he made Day 2 his first year, Day 3 last year and he's so far onto Day 4...not bad.
Thanks for all the questions today. Enjoy all the coverage today on ESPN2 and ESPN3!
