Chat with Ohm Youngmisuk

Ohm
  (1:01 PM)

Wud up ya'll?

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

What NFL Stadium is absolutely Terrible to get in & out of because the Parking is Terrible?

Ohm
  (1:02 PM)

Well, I wouldn't really know because I park in a media lot which helps a great deal. As a fan, I've gone to some Redskins games and parking can be difficult there.

Pete (MI)

Sparty sucks!

Ohm
  (1:03 PM)

Only a few more weeks before we start another season where we beat U-M, again.

Rachel (Hattiesburg)

Ohm, I haven't seen your chats lately. It seems your name hasn't been listed the night before when I go to ask my questions. Anyhoo yes, you tried to warn me about my bet and I did lose $10 oh well, it was wishful thinking. So if I placed another bet that the lockout would be over today, would I win? (Watch it be over when you receive this) hehe.

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

I was on vacation two weeks ago. Had a chat last week though. Come on girl! You are a regular! LOL. No way lockout ends today. Quickest would be tomorrow if players vote yes today and then owners approve it tomorrow. But Schefter is on TV right now saying he got a text from someone in the room where players are huddling saying this is not going to be easy. But fastest would be for lockout to end Thursday.

Ohm
  (1:05 PM)

And that really means a deal being done. Free agency and players reporting wouldn't be until next week if approval comes Thursday.

Jc (Fort Myers, Fl)

Ohm my man...right on. Will the Giants have any chance at signing FA's with the pool as large as its going to be especially with guys looking to take 1 year deals for bigger pay days next year. Also what do you think Bradshaw is really worth in the open market? Is 5 million+ too much for a 25 year old running back with 2 bad ankles. I'm not sure either way.

Ohm
  (1:06 PM)

Hey JC... well according to my man John Clayton, the Giants will be $11.34 million over the cap. That doesn't mean they won't be able to get under. They got a decision to make on Shawn Andrews' deal that could potentially cut the cap number significantly. But their biggest priority will be to re-sign Ahmad Bradshaw and then their other FAs like Kiwanuka, Steve Smith, Kevin Boss, etc.

Drew (NY)

What up OHM!, whats on the lunch menu? also, while i got u, we have to sign Bradshaw right. that would be a huge disappointment if we dont

Ohm
  (1:08 PM)

Man, big D... haven't even had time to think about lunch yet. Might have to be something quick because I have to head into the city after this to shoot a video. Signing Bradshaw is pretty much a must for me. If they don't, then they got to add another RB to go with Jacobs, Ware and Scott. And let's just say Saints cut Reggie Bush and Giants were to somehow add Bush -- this is all speculative on my part -- I still think I rather have Bradshaw because Bush is a great third-down back and change of pace back. They want somebody like Bradshaw who will start and then Jacobs comes in and changes the look.

john(princeton, nj) [via mobile]

Ohm, with the Gmen 12 million over the projected cap already, is it safe to say we've seen the last of 72 and 96 in Big Blue? And if Jacobs doesn't want to redo his deal, will he see the door too?

Ohm
  (1:10 PM)

John, probably got to say that 96 will be moving on if he gets what he wants and that is a big contract offer. Too many other DTs on the roster. As for Osi, gun to my head and this is just a guess or gut feel, I think the Giants will try to ask Osi to play under his current contract. And Osi won't like that and he could hold out. As for Jacobs, he might have to re-do his deal. He said he'd be open to it if it weren't a lot. We'll see.

Juan Valencia (Colombia, South America)

How do you see the Osi situation panning out? If the Giants dont sign Bradshaw who do you see as their 2nd choice?

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

Juan, I kind of just touched on Osi situation. Just my guess but I think Giants may try to talk things out with Osi and ask him to play under current deal. According to John Clayton, they are over the cap so they don't have much room to do things right now and still got to re-sign Bradshaw, Boss, Kiwanuka, Smith and others. If they can't get Ahmad back, we'll have to see what's left on the FA market after teams have those small windows to sign their own guys. I don't know how much money the Giants will have to play with as far as signing somebody either.

Matt (NYC)

Can I have a job, please? Getting my J.D., maybe in 10 years when there's another lockout I can help you write about the new-new CBA.. whatdya think?

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

Matt, if it were up to me, I'd hire you. But I don't have any power homey. None. And I got no money. LOL.

pcastro33 (Flo-ri-da)

whats good oooooohhm Please tell me we go get a top tier LB in FA??? I can't deal with it anymore, this team playing with no good LB and TE's running free.

Ohm
  (1:13 PM)

Castro... wud up? Hard to say right now. We have to see what their cap number will be, and what they have left after they re-sign their own guys. Posluszny is a popular name though and I would think Perry would love to get his hands back on him. But will Buffalo allow him to hit the market and will Giants have money?

Ed (The Bronx)

Crap my question sent too early... Rosenhaus is Bradshaws agent so it wouldnt surprise me if he left... Who takes over for him? Internally with Ware or Scott or Will they actually take a waiver on Clinton Portis or another FA?

Ohm
  (1:15 PM)

Eddie, Rosenhaus does have plenty of clients on the Giants like Rolle and Phillips. But if Bradshaw were to leave, I think they would have to sign a veteran running back to go with Jacobs, Ware and Scott. Portis? Hmm, I think they might want some other guys before Clinton. Just a guess.

Matt (Ridgecrest, CA)

We all know the Jags need help at saftey spots on both sides. I still think Garrard or Gabbert needs a solid #1 WR. Do you think the jags will target one in FA? if so who?

Ohm
  (1:16 PM)

Matt, I wish I could tell you that I have been keeping up with the Jags needs at safety. But unfortunately I have been only on the Giants. I do agree with you though. Jags need a playmaking wide receiver. Absolutely.

andiamo (Astoria (shortly))

TeamJPPThat is all.

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

My man. Haha. We'll see. JPP hasn't been around coaches all offseason. That is going to hurt a bit. He's going to have to rely on that pure raw athletic ability. I still would like to see Osi and Kiwi return and have Kiwi play some LB.

Alex (CT)

Do you think the Giants will add a MLB and move Goff to strong side or would they try signing an OLB and leave Goff in the middle? Also is it possible we have enough money to add Leach as our FB?

Ohm
  (1:19 PM)

Alex, it's a possibility if they were to add a guy like Posluszny. But all depends on how much money they have to play with. As for Leach, hard to see the Giants having that much money to get Leach. If I had to pick, I rather invest that money in a LB, no?

Ohm
  (1:20 PM)

Oh, hold on, phone call from Cimini, our Jets beat writer

paul thompson (san fran)

Million dollar question what giants free agents will we lose and pick up in free agency??

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

Paul, I'd have to guess that Barry Cofield will be the biggest name the Giants will lose. And as far as picking up... I'll guess Posluszny or Stephen Nicholas or James Anderson. Just guesses.

Jdubbdizzle (Hartford,CT)

Holler at your Boy OHM!!Hope all is well. What are the chances that we are going to see a deal today?!?!?

Ohm
  (1:23 PM)

JDubb. HOLLA! No chance today. Quickest would be Thursday. Still think it's going to happen, even if not this week, very soon.

Ryan (NY)

What up Ohm... a few weeks ago I told you I got hammered and hooked up with my buddy's sister and you said that I had to tell him. So I told him and he was cool with it. He said sisters are ok, but mothers are off limits. You and your boys should work that clause into your code

Ohm
  (1:24 PM)

Ryan, nice man! You lucked out. I think that not many dudes would be OK with that. He must really love you. I guess "the Code" worked in your favor there. Moms are definitely OFF LIMITS. This ain't Saturday Night Live. LOL! But I still say that the Code extends to sisters too. But hey man, you are one of the few that lived to tell about it!

Ohm
  (1:25 PM)

What do you guys think? Would you be cool with your boy hooking up with your sister or is that a violation of the Code between you and your boys? The Code being that there are things boys will never do to one of their boys such as trying to talk to a girl that they already are talking to or like or trying to date one of your boy's ex's

JIM T (NY)

Alot of speculation that Steve Smith of the giants starts the season on the PUP list..WHY? Does anyone know his status, i havent seen him comment of his condition in months.

Ohm
  (1:27 PM)

Jimmy, Smitty says he is on track but he had delicate microfracture surgery. His situation could be just like Kenny Phillips' from last season. He will be brought along slowly in camp. Starting the season on PUP? Don't know yet. We have to see how he responds on camp.

Mark (DC)

Chris: It's a 31-way tie for "parking sucks at all of them"

Ohm
  (1:27 PM)

Mark, word to the mutha.

Mike (Greenwich, CT)

what do you think the Giants will do for a middle linebacker?

Ohm
  (1:27 PM)

Mike, I still can see Goff starting this year. But I do think the Giants need to add another LB, whether it be OLB or MLB.

Frank (Blackwood, NJ)

Thank you for the time Ohm. My immediate question, lockout aside, is do you see the Giants doing anything to strengthen their linebacker core?

Ohm
  (1:28 PM)

Frankie, no problem. Yes, I think the Giants will try to address some linebacker help in FA. It might not be the big splash many of you guys want though.

Glen (Queens, NY)

Will Prince Amukamara be better than Darrelle Revis?

Ohm
  (1:29 PM)

Glen, calm down dog. The answer is no right now. Could he be eventually? Perhaps. But let's just get him on the field first. LOL.

bill (queens)

giants win the east?

Ohm
  (1:30 PM)

Bill, they're in it. But my guess is they won't win the East. Perhaps second place. Just hope they make the playoffs.

David (NJ)

Ohmmmm, so football within the week???

Ohm
  (1:30 PM)

I'd say so barring a snag this week.

Plaxico (Agrees)

What up Ohm?? Go Spartans! Any chance the G-men let Bradshaw walk??

Ohm
  (1:31 PM)

Plax... I don't think so. Just wish they'd bring you back so I can have another Spartan in the locker room! LOL.

RJ (NY)

What kind of video are you going into the city to shoot? Are you one of the backup dancers in Katy Perry's new video?

Ohm
  (1:31 PM)

RJ, I wish. Just another video about free agency and biggest questions facing Giants as camp starts. But I'd be a Firework for Katy Perry any day.

Scott (Northglenn, CO)

Cofield will look good in orange-and-blue next year...is he worth starting money?

Ohm
  (1:32 PM)

Scottie, I think so. He rarely gets injured, very very solid and a good citizen and presence in locker room. Well-liked by most. Been a starter ever since he came in the league. Won't give you eye-popping stats but very solid.

Chris (NY)

Read today Vonta Leach would be interested in playing for the GMen...is the feeling mutual?

Ohm
  (1:33 PM)

I am sure the Giants would love to have a FB like him but not sure if they have the money.

chase (philly)

ohm whos the best team in the nfl

Ohm
  (1:33 PM)

Chase, gotta be the champs until they are dethroned.

max (philly)

who is the best free agent in the league

Ohm
  (1:34 PM)

Max, Nnamdi Asomugha. And Eagles could be all over Nnamdi.

Scott (Northglenn, CO)

Are you named after the measurement of voltage? If DeAngelo Williams is available, do the Giants kick the tires on him, or would that hurt Bradshaw's feelings and make him more likely to leave?

Ohm
  (1:35 PM)

Yes, and the name also is Indian/Buddhist name of three Gods. DeAngelo would probably only come into play if Bradshaw is gone. And even then, DeAngelo would want probably more money than Giants would want to pay, is my guess.

Darren (MI)

Hey OHM, just wondering, are most u analyst's in the same building while u chat?

Ohm
  (1:35 PM)

Darren, none of the ESPN analysts are in my apartment right now, that I know of, other than on my flat screen in front of me. LOL.

Chris (NY)

Will Prince start right away or do you see him in a reserve role?

Ohm
  (1:36 PM)

Reserve role. I'd say hope for him to be able to earn the third or fourth corner spot after camp. He has a lot to catch up on since he hasn't had an offseason program yet.

GIANTS FANS (EVERYWHERE)

Does anyone know the status of Steve Smith? He hasnt been publically talking / no news articles. Just speculation he will start the season on the PUP list.

Ohm
  (1:36 PM)

About a month ago he said he was progressing and rehab was on track. But we'll have to see. I think Giants will take things very slow with him in camp. Very slow.

matt (nyc)

my buddy and I watch football every sunday at his apartment. we call it headquarters because we have 5 monitors (of different sizes) playing multiple games at once. we have the national game on one, we use directv fan package for another, then 2 slinboxes, and the redzone channel. its pretty awesome. he's a broncos guy. we only play a couple of times a year at the same time so usually we don't have any real issues (besides 2 or 3 thanksgivings ago, whenever that awful loss was). this year we have wireless headphones for the less important games (lets be honest, broncos are less important). my question is- wana come? beer, foods, football? eh?

Ohm
  (1:37 PM)

Sounds awesome. I'd come, but I got to work on Sundays brother. LOL.

RJ (NY)

The Jaguars have fans? Tell them to start going to the games

Ohm
  (1:38 PM)

Jags almost beat the Giants last year if it weren't for Tuck and Osi getting up into everybody at halftime.

Jon (CNY)

Your colleague Graziano chose Eli as the best NFC east star or something to that effect in three years..agree/disagree?

Ohm
  (1:38 PM)

Dan knows best. Hard to predict. But I will say this... Eli will improve on his interception numbers this season, meaning, less picks.

Chris (NY)

Where do you think Boss is on the Giants priority list?

Ohm
  (1:39 PM)

High. They got to bring Bossman back.

David (NJ/Brooklyn)

Can you please explain what the Giants plan to do with Prince, Grant, Phillips, Rolle, Ross, Thomas, Webster all wanting time in the defensive backfield?

Ohm
  (1:40 PM)

D, I'd say Webster and TThomas start at corners. Ross third CB with Prince possibly pushing him there by midseason. Rolle and Phillips start at S. Got to see if they bring back Deon after drafting Sash.

Drew (NY)

Are you shooting a video to the NFL on how many sad Fantasy Owners their will b if a deal does not get done.

Ohm
  (1:40 PM)

No need for sadness. There will be fantasy football.

JIM (NY)

We have Sonic the Hedgecock, We do not need to spend 10mil on Leach

Ohm
  (1:40 PM)

And Bear Pascoe.

Mike (DC)

Ohmy the homie what's good.....If the G-men are in the market for MLBs, what does this mean for Sintim. Also, your thoughts on D. Williams in a Giants uniform if Bradshaw gets to greedy....thanks man

Ohm
  (1:41 PM)

Mikey... Sintim is coming off knee surgery. Might take him some time to get back in top form. I'd be surprised if we see DeAngelo as a Giant. Can see him going to Denver.

joe (crazy)

Bartolo Colon (Bronx,NY)Wally tell everyone i am OK i just need a couple of more hot dogs and i will be fine.No need for Ubaldo if he comes to the Yankees i will eat him with mustard like a hot dog umumum!!!!

Ohm
  (1:42 PM)

I'll tell my man Wally. LOL.

Really? (ny)

Pick questions or statements that have absolutely nothing to do with the giants and football? what a joke

Ohm
  (1:43 PM)

If ya don't like my chat, you can go to another chat homey. My chat is about everything, hip hop, movies, Jersey Shore, Giants, Jets, NBA... we talk about a lot of things. Giants questions always are priority but everybody in this chat can ask me about whatever they want, especially dating advice.

Jones (Jersey)

I'm on the other side of ryan's sitiuation right now, and i am definately not ok with it. its messed up

Ohm
  (1:44 PM)

There we go, one man has spoken. I figured this would be the case.

Mike (DC)

i hooked up with a boy's sisters.....but he only knows about one of the two

Ohm
  (1:44 PM)

:o

Mark (DC)

Sisters are only offlimits if they're grenades... because that's just nasty

Ohm
  (1:45 PM)

Mark is a code-breaker. LOL.

Grand Master Z (Long Island)

Should we be concerned if the cap is truly 120 million? What moves would we need to make in order to re-sign our key guys and still have flexibility to go after an impact LB?

Ohm
  (1:45 PM)

Hard to say right now Grand Master. But I'd guess that one of the big ones will be Shawn Andrews.

Kevin (NYC)

Any chance they cut Ross next week? I'd hate to see him go, but it seems to make sense, no?

Ohm
  (1:46 PM)

Probably say no because Prince has to learn so much in camp. I'd be somewhat surprised to see that.

Dick (Blueballs,PA)

Wisconsin this year Ohm.

Ohm
  (1:46 PM)

Quite possibly. My money would be on Nebraska.

Ryan (NY)

For the record, I agree with the code that sisters are off limits, but Jack Daniels has it's own code...

Ohm
  (1:47 PM)

As long as you know and respect the Code. LOL.

Raphael (Long Island)

Ohm, how'd you get the gig with ESPNNY? I miss your work on the Daily News and watching you debate on The Wheelhouse.. ha..

Ohm
  (1:48 PM)

Thanks Raphael. Well, my boss at the Daily News left for ESPN-NY and took me and Rich Cimini and Adam Rubin with him. But I have much love for the Daily News and miss SNY. I miss Wheelhouse and Daily News Live a lot.

Ahmad Bradshaw (Miami,FL)

OHm tell the fans they have been great but iam taking my talents to south beach!!!!

Ohm
  (1:48 PM)

Still think you'll be in Blue this season.

Raphael (Long Island)

Ohm, get back on The Wheelhouse and shut down Tierney!!!

Ohm
  (1:49 PM)

Haha, the homey BT moving to SF I think. He'll do well there. SF is a great city.

Scott (Northglenn, CO)

Ohm you kinda look like my brotha! How do you feel about the Yankees going after Ubaldo Jimenez -- it's rare for a potential No. 1 with that good of a contract to be available...is he worth Montero and 3 SP's?

Ohm
  (1:49 PM)

Your brother is a handsome Thai boy? Nice. Love Ubaldo. But that is a hefty price.

Ray (Phoenix)

Hey Ohm sisters are definitely against the code. My boys are like brothers so their sister is like family. Definitely would be some furniture moving in my circle.

Ohm
  (1:50 PM)

Ray don't mess with the code. Or somebody will get an arm chair on their head, WWE style.

JIM T (ny)

Again pls Ohm, If the giants arent able to resign Bradshaw and in fact S. Smith isnt an opening day starter, Could we go out and get Vjax or Buress and maintain Jacobs and Ware as our Rb's. That would be quite scary..Vjax or buress / Nicks and Manningham/Smith in the slot.

Ohm
  (1:51 PM)

Jimmy... too much dreaming homey. Don't think VJax going anywhere. And it won't be to Giants. As for Plax... hard to see Coughlin and Plax reunion. Sorry brother.

JRG (Kentucky)

Hey Ohm, if the giants can only sign steve smith or kiwi, who will they make an all attempt to sign?

Ohm
  (1:52 PM)

Geez... gun to my head... I can only pick one? Have to say Steve Smith I guess but I think Kiwi is more valuable if neck injury is completely gone. But thankfully, Giants won't have to pick just one. They will try to bring back both.

tony (queens,ny)

Ohm witch movie should i take my date this friday 2 see?

Ohm
  (1:54 PM)

I haven't seen it yet but heard Bridesmaids is good. Reason I give you that is you got to have your date laughing and women love that movie. So do guys. If that is gone, I would pick comedy. Something like that Cameron Diaz movie or the one where they try to kill their boss. And then report back to me next week and tell me how the date went and how the movie was. Good luck homey.

Bob (Long Island)

what's a "grenade"

Ohm
  (1:54 PM)

Fellas, please explain to our friend.

Drew (NY)

I luv ur chat OHM, pick whatever questions u want, we all need to laugh buddy, dont change

Ohm
  (1:55 PM)

Thanks man. I'm a silly dude.

Ohm
  (1:56 PM)

Alright guys. I hate to end this chat. But I got to get going into the city. So what I am going to do, because I got sooo many questions this week, is answer several of them in a mailbag on the Giants blog by Friday... cool? And you can always hit me up on Twitter as well @NotoriousOHM. Thanks for all the questions. Have a great week ya'll!

Ohm
  (1:57 PM)

And I think I will have to do two mailbags! LOL.
