Rob, your fellow rookie Aaron Hernandez is from the same town you're in right now, Bristol, CT....is he in town too? Are you going to see him? Or maybe just stop by his parent's house and see if you can grab a bite to eat?
That's a good idea. But I was actually with Aaron last night. We had dinner. He's a great player to have on your team.
Chris, have you been following the lockout closely this whole time or are you just waiting for the call to come back to play?
I've been getting a lot of updates from my agent. He's been optimistic about it. This whole time we've been training and looking to get back. We've just been waiting for the call. It's been too long. At this point, I'm just waiting.
What's it like having all three of you in the NFL?
It's amazing. It's a dream come true. We're still waiting on our fifth brother, fourth football player to go to KState next year. I'm looking forward to playing my brothers this year.
You could argue that the Molina brothers were the trailblazers of the multiple brothers in professional sports movement. Do you guys ever hang with the Molina brothers?
We haven't met the Staals or anyone either. That'd be cool.
And the Hanson brothers too!
So do Gordie and Glenn get upset when they call you three "The Gronkowski Brothers"?
No. We're just setting it up for Glenn. And Gord's our biggest fan.
Did you guys ever all play on the same team? If so was it hard to carry your brothers to victory game after game Rob?
We didn't all play on the same team at once, but I did play with Dan when I was a sophomore in high school and with Rob when I was a senior. I also played with Dan at Maryland. It was real cool to be out on the field with each other and get a big block and tell him how sweet it was.
You have someone who actually listens to you talk about a big block. Usually no one cares.
Which one of u was better at other sports growing up?
Me, with baseball.
Me at hockey.
Me at basketball.
Rob, I know you are going to play against your brothers this year when you play the Cowboys and Broncos. Are you looking foward to beating Chris and Dan this year?
Yes sir! I like where your head's at!
Worst brother on brother crime/prank?
I whipped Rob into the bathtub when he took five ministeaks over my back when we were playing Pogs.
wuts up Gronkowski's, i was just wondering if u guys hang out and vacation together in the offseason, if so, where are your favorite places to go?
Yeah, the lockout has been nice. We just killed it in Vegas for my bachelor party. That was probably the best times of our lives.
Yeah, family vacation in Florida as well. right after the season ended.
So, are Gordie and Glenn like Cooper Manning -- the forgotten brother?
Nope. Glenn's still growing up. He's going to Kansas State. He's playing football. Gord is playing baseball. He's our No. 1 fan and No. 1 promoter.
Are you optimistic a labor deal will get done today or in the very near future?
Yes, from what everyone's saying, it's very optimistic that it will get done and we'll get back on the field.
Which one of the brothers is the biggest Buffalo Bills fan?
Definitely Chris, he's always wearing his Bills hat and old school Moulds Bills jersey.
Sports Nation tradition, who's the better griller? Gas or Charcoal?
Rob's the best at cooking the weiners on the grill.
Who wants to come munch NO Xplode with me?
Yes, that's our pre-workout drink. We're trying to get hyped.
Did you guys fight often growing up? If so, who usually won?
Every day. We used to usually beat up Rob, because he deserved it.
Chris looks the most jacked.. has he been working the hardest this offseason?
No, he's just the shortest, so he looks bigger.
No, he is eating the most, so he's the fattest.
Have you guys ever dreamed of playing together on the same NFL team? If so, what team would you want to play for?
rob, do you think you should/ will get more playing time after a great season last year?
He played every snap at the end of the season.
So, I don't know it's possible.
Maybe more special teams.
What they said.
How do ur parents feel about all your success. also, which one of you is the favorite son?
I think they feel really great about it, because they tell every person they meet about us.
Very proud parents. And I'm their favorite.
Gord's the favorite son because he can dance.
maiiiiinnnn who a better QB...me or Drew Willy?
You, you the five star. Him's only two.
Who do your parents get to see most often?
Probably Rob, because he's close to home and plays the Bills twice a year.
Have you guys each been attending your voluntary workouts with your respective teams?
Five days a week, working out with a small group of guys. Also met with the team as well for a few weeks as well.
GORD HAS A NICE CAR!
Yes he does. Very cozy.
Ya'll must have killed it playing sandlot football growing up. Which of you throws the best spiral?
I was a QB in high school and went to college as one, so definitely me.
Gord actually does have a good arm.
Who is going to win the first Super Bowl ring?
Rob,I'm playing in my sand box. You should join!
Be at your location soon.
Which one of you got in trouble the most as kids? I'm going with Dan?
Rob for sure.
Dan, you never got in trouble.
It was Dan, I never stole.
Dan, how have you handled the lockout situation?
Just been working out with some teammates in Denver. Keeping my body healthy and ready to go for the season.
This is for Rob. What makes you and Aaron Hernandez so tough for opposing defenses to cover.
We both bring different aspects to the game to the tight end position.
Do you all have the same agent?
Small-time Drew and Big-time Danny Martoe.
What would you be doing if you werent in the NFL?
Trying to play another sport professional. If not professional, being one of the greatest salesmen around.
Dan, what is it like playing with Tim Tebow and what do you think of people who say he can't be successful?
He's a hard working guy. It will be interesting to see how he does this year.
What is ur approach to a game where u play each other
A lot of smack talk.
A lot of smack talk.
Followed by a lot of touchdowns.
Followed by a lot of touchdowns.
Followed by a lot of making fun of after.
Chicken. Steak. And our mom's homemade chicken souflet.
Definitely steak and potatos kind of guys. And protein shakes.
Yeah, protein shakes.
Rob, have you ever had to block Wilfork in practice? Is it physically possible?
Yes I have. I'm flying back five feet. But he didn't make the tackle.
