Brandon is here!
Will you return to Europe this year if, sorry when, the NBA locks out?
Right now, my main thing is keep preparing for the NBA season. Stay focused over here and keep at it. I don't have any plans to go overseas yet, but if things keep going, I'll have to think about it.
Brandon. How do you feel about being in the same division as D Rose for the next 10 years? You feel there is a rivalry brewing between you two?
Hopefully. I think it's a good thing for me. It makes me have to work harder every summer. He's the MVP right now. If I want to get to that level, I'll have to keep working hard. I think the Chicago-Milwaukee rivalry is a good thing.
Did you test out Court Grip during games?
Actually, not during the season, but after the season, I was able to test it out. I tested it out on the pro-am games this summer. It's a great product and it helps my game when I'm out there.
BJ3 you're awesome, keep up the great work. What do you think of the moves the bucks made this summer?
I think it were great moves. Getting Stephen Jackson and Livingston were great moves. Jackson has won a championship and is a leader. Adding him will be a great piece.
What's good BJ3! NBA players have been having charity basketball events and such around the country- do you think we'll see anything like that here in Milwaukee during the lockout?
I'm sure you will. There have been charity games put on everywhere around the world. I'm sure if the lockout keeps going, I'm sure we'll try to come together and put something on for the city.
Go Bucks! How many hours a week do you, if at all, practice your 15 foot jump shot. Thanks.
Actually since the lockout, I've been in Baltimore working for 3 months straight. I'm going to shoot over 40% this year. This whole three months of the lockout, I've been working out 5 days a week in Baltimore.
BJ, do you play fantasy football? Seems like it would be a hobby right now.
I don't play fantasy football, but we play a lot of flag football. We have a lot of events out here in California.
I just saw a video of you testing Court Grip. What does this product feel like?
Actually the fact that I play on dusty courts and a lot of courts are slippery, I will have better balance and grip. That's the great thing about the product.
Better Combination. Wings and Beer or Jennings and Bogut?
Jennings and Bogut.
How do you feel about the competitive balance of the NBA coming from a small market team?
I still think the league is competitive. At the end of the day as far as a point guard standpoint, the NBA is full of great young point guards. I think the competition is at an all time high.
Assuming the lock out ends and there is a season and there are no major injuries, where do you see the Bucks fitting into the playoff picture this season?
I think with the pieces that we added, I think we have a chance to make some noise. Whenever the season starts, I'll be really excited about it. With Jackson and a healthy Andrew Bogut, we'll be great.
Was at the pro-am game this past weekend, was that the stuff you and M. barnes put on your kicks?
That was the Court Grip that me and Matt were putting on before the game. That's the product that's out right now.
You can find it at Foot Locker, if you need some.
Since you've spent some time in Italy before the NBA, what's you favorite Italian Restaurant in the US?
Yeah, I have one in Milwaukee. But of course there's nothing like going over to Italy and eating Italian food over there.
There are people saying you shot too much, hit to little and produce to little assists. Do you take this criticism as a chance to develop or do you feel offended by it? If it's the first one how do you plan to improve or do you feel your game is good as it is?Good luck reaching a PO spot if there's a season.
Actually, I just ignore it. Everyone has their own opinion. At the end of the day, I'm just trying to become a better player and help the team win.
Im trying out for a team in Europe and I hear the courts can be pretty rough. How do you think Court Grip would work on the courts in Europe?
Actually, there are a lot of dusty courts in Europe. I think that would be a great thing to tak over there to play, Court Grip. You'll probably be the only one over there with it so you'll be able to make all of your moves.
Love your web series, is it annoying to have cameras around you even when your not working?
Actually, it's kind of fun. The fact that I'm able to show people who I really am. The Under Armour videos are great and let people get to know me and who I really am.
How does court grip compare to those sticky mats?
The difference is that the thing about the sticky mats you always have to go to the sidelines to use it. For Court Grip, I have grip for the whole first half and I don't have to use it again until I come back out. Court Grip lasts a lot longer.
And the sticky grip is just too big. No one wants to carry that around all of the time.
Will you be using this during the season?
Yes, of course. The NBA actually sponsors Court Grip. It will be at the tables the whole year. You'll be seeing all of the players using it. Every time you see someone at the scorer's table, I'm sure you'll see the Court Grip in their hand.
Get ready for the season, because the Bucks are going to make some noise.
Thanks for chatting Brandon!
