Melissa Jacobs
  (3:01 PM)

Hello fantasy friends,Who's excited for a little TNF??? After the PSU craziness, we could all use a little NFL.Let's get to your questions...This week I'd love to hear your team's MVP and bust, if you're so inclined.

Jamie (Seattle)

What should I do about CJ0K? Still start him?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:03 PM)

HI Jamie,If you ask him, he's doing well. It's true he finally showed some glimpses of the former CJ2k last week against a tough Bengals run D. I'd give him one for start and if he can't put up numbers against the Panthers...sit his a** down!

Dave (Chicago)

5-4 now, 4 game win streak (thank you!), and winning this weekend gets me into a share of the division lead. As for the advice last week, couldn't bring myself to trust the Carson Palmer/DHB connection since they brought in Housh, so started Julio Jones instead. But that's what I'm enjoying about your chats, it's about thinking things through rather than just who to play. So this week's question, what are your thoughts on Earl Bennett ROS? Looked good Monday night, will he be good enough that I can shop around Roddy White or Colston before the trade deadline? Thanks again!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:04 PM)

Totally cool, Dave. Glad you didn't listen to me on DHB (I'm sure he'll be addressed later in this chat). Was very impressed with Bennett and know Cutler will continue to look for him. But the Bears will remain Forte's team and I would never trust a Bears WR for the long haul.

Howard (Twitter)

Need to choose 3 from this list. J. Ford, S. Rice, D. Williams, D. Jax. Thanks!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:06 PM)

Hi Howard....For those non-Tweeters, I invited those of Twitter to submit questions as well. Definitely Ford and D Jax (for his upside) and probably Williams. Just hate Rice's matchup.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Who do you think is the Worst NFL Quarterback that you have seen this season?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:06 PM)

Donovan McNabb. Had no interest in suiting up.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:07 PM)

Hey guys, can you press the submit button once please. Getting overwhelmed!

ATS (Twitter)

Going for my 5gm win streak. Blount or Wells? and Pick 3: White, Lloyd, Manningham, Nelson or Brown.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:08 PM)

Awesome! Wells for his matchup. Blount needs to be more utilized in TB, White, Manningham, and Lloyd. Good luck!

Mikey (Twitter)

would you trade Beanie/Julio for Shonn/Antonio Brown(ranked 7 in lg)? Return yds count & I have AP/Forte

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:09 PM)

By the way, Wells has been limited in practice so watch him closely. I don't know about your trade. I love Julio down the stretch, even with your return yards.

Danks (Twitter)

last week I made the crazy move of benching Brady for tebow. Press my luck with tebow again or go back to Brady this week?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:11 PM)

Wow, tough question Danks. John Fox seems to be full speed ahead on the option, so Tebow will be comfortable. But Brady doesn't have many bad games in a row so I'd stick with him, even against the Jets.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:11 PM)

Btw, my little wild card projection Ochocinco. 5 catches, 75 yards.

Jose (California)

Hi Melissa, thank you for all your help so far these past few weeks. I've got another question for you, In a PPR league, looking to trade Manningham for a WR with a better playoff schedule. Who should I target Holmes, Steve Johnson or Maclin?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:14 PM)

Hi Jose,I think I like Stevie Johnson talent wise, but Maclin schedule wise. Probably Johnson.

Steve (Hollywood)

Who's got the better fantasy day on sunday. Vick or Tebow?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:15 PM)

I think Vick. A lot of the same skill set. Better weapons. Playing at home.

Michael (Twitter)

New follower. Tony gonzales, law firm, P Harven, K Walter and J Gaffney. Need 2 , thinking law firm and Gonzales.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:16 PM)

Hey Michael - Thanks for the follow. I agree with you. Definitely Gonzalez of that crew. Maybe Walter is worth a look is Andre Johnson is still out (which is likely). But BJGE could run on the Jets - and may have to.

Benny (Twitter)

Hi Melissa! What do u think DHB's role will be moving forward? Do u think he will see his typical number of targets? Thanks!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:18 PM)

I would say no for the short-term. Clearly Palmer prefers Ford and Housh. Maybe DHB showed up late at his impromptu bye week workout? Last week was shocking and I wouldn't start DHB again until it's clear he's actually part of the Palmer Era.

Shannon (Chapel Hill, NC)

MVP = AJ Green Bust = Jamaal Charles (sadly). In a 2QB league can I trust Palmer to play well tonight? Also have Mathews. Is he good to go? Or should I look elsewhere? Thanks!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:20 PM)

Thanks for answering my little question. Love Green!Mathews is probable so he should be fine. Can you ever trust Palmer to play well? San Diego has an upper level passing defense. I see Palmer with a couple touchdown, one or two INTs.

Jon (DSM)

Which San Diego RB are you starting tonight? And, are has Ballard played his way into a starting TE on my fantasy rosters ROS? Thanks.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:22 PM)

Hi Jon,I'm still starting Mathews. I haven't seen any indication that his carries would be limited upon return. I'd look at Ballard as a week-to-week situation. Love his matchup against SF this week. Would definitely start him. But want to see how he factors in with Nicks possibly returning.

Stephen (Seattle)

Melissa, Enjoy your chats! Freeman, Tebow or Cassel for this week? A. Brown or S. Holmes PPR 1 point per reception. Thank You

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:24 PM)

Hi Stephen,Tebow, although I see Matt Cassel having a good fantasy day as well. Both secondaries give up a ton of touchdowns. I'm high on Brown this week, even against the Bengals. Like how Big Ben is utilizing him with Sanders and Ward out.

Austin (Cheeseburger West Side)

I am not projected to do well and need some big points from my QB, so do I start Rivers or Cassel

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:26 PM)

I hate projections! I think both have decent games, but I have a hunch Cassel may be slightly better. That may be a higher scoring game all the way around.

Mark (San Jose)

OK, an easier question. I think, haha. Would you start Seabass tonight or just pick someone up knowing you can wait till sunday?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:27 PM)

Start Sea Bass. Always start SeaBass. You're right, easy question. :)

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:27 PM)

Where did Ed Hochuli go? I want him to penalize me for use of emoticons. :)

Stuart (Brooklyn, NY)

Hi Melissa. Love your work! Please pick one and tell me why. RB2 is Jacobs, Tate, BJGE or Stewart? Thanks!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:29 PM)

Thanks Stuart!I like BJGE here because you can run on the Jets this year. I think the game will be won on the ground and he'll get more carries than normal.

Mark (San Jose)

Melissa, he's been dropped by a few thousand teams and is questionable tonight???

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:31 PM)

Thanks Mark. I missed that one. Had just assumed he was fine after Sunday. Yeah, I'd still play if he's good to go. Hopefully we'll know at least an hour out and can adjust rosters accordingly. I own him too so extra thanks for that one!

Blythe (GuysGirl)

Cam or Vick this week and going forward?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:32 PM)

Hi Blythe,So many QB dilemmas this week. I say Vick this week but would monitor on a weekly basis.

JT (Twitter)

What do you think of Jacoby Ford with Palmer? Great last week. Play him over James Jones? Thanks

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:35 PM)

Hi JT,I'd stick with Jones. He is on a touchdown binge. Love what Ford did last week but not sure about tonight's tough matchup - and if DHB gets back into the mix.

Anthony (Swamp)

Hey there Melissa, I have also been on a pretty good winning streak ever since I joined your chats! I am currently 7-2. Keeper league PPR, Marques Colston for Antonio Brown. Brown and Wallace remind me of Maclin and Jackson in some ways ....

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:37 PM)

That is awesome news! Wowser, I don't know if I could do that. Maybe if you get return yardage. Like your Eagles analogy but still feel like the Steelers emphasis may return to pound it out. Whereas the Saints are always looking to air-it-out.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:38 PM)

BTW, Brees is chasing Marino's single-season passing record. Brees, Rodgers, Brady all on pace to break it.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Will we ever see a Female Official in the Future in the NFL?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:39 PM)

Good question. And one that was reported on by our own Jane McManus. She spoke to the NFL's Head of Officials who indicated their would be a female official. Let me find the link. Great story...

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:39 PM)

Here it is! http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-opinion/6854588/calling-shots-nfl-women-pipeline

Jay (Iowa)

Pick 3:Vjax- Still no Floyd means lots of targetsMaclin- Terrible Arizona secondaryStevie J- Weak Cowboys secondary and they won't be able to run well, Fitz said he wanted to get him the ball tooDez- Average Bills secondary and none of their CBs are physical enough,

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:41 PM)

How about all 4! I'd probably Stevie out of those four, just based on matchup. But it's really close.

Dan (PA)

MVP - Foster; LVP - CJ0K. DeMarco Murray or Michael Bush at Flex this week? Thanks!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:43 PM)

Hey Dan,I lpve what Murray's done and would have a harder time benching him than Bush. Obviously Bush was great last week (has he played himself to a starter role elsewhere next season?). Just think Palmer may continue to air it out more tonight.

J.B. (PA)

I'm 1-8 and on a 6-game losing streak in one of my leagues but I'm still 'playing to win the game.' Better upside this week, Ms. J.: Laurent Robinson or Sidney Rice?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:44 PM)

Oh no, sorry J.B. I'd play Robinson. I don't see Rice doing much against the Ravens.

J.B. (PA (and Twitter if it helps))

Ms. J.: Dilemma this week. I'm starting Eli v your Niners. Worth a dice roll to go with Cruz at one of my WR spots or better not too put too many eggs in one basket and go with Antonio Brown instead? This team needs a big push to get a playoff spot.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:46 PM)

Ok, one more from you.Neither has an easy matchup. I'd go with Cruz, but not if Nicks is back, which seems to still be determined.

John (Los Angeles)

Ochocinco showing up for a game is truly a wild card projection, but why not go all-out and predict 85 yards for him, rather than 75?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:47 PM)

Ha! Very good point. I'm lobbying for a name change.

Neal(slc) [via mobile]

Hey MJ, nice to see you on a Thursday this week. Need trade advice. Would you deal Jennings and DeAngelo to get Stevie J. and SJax. Really need RB upgrade in 14 team league. Thanks.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:49 PM)

Would love to see you get rid of DeAngelo but I wouldn't trade Jennings. Just too high level on league's best offense. I don't think you're getting enough.

Benny (Philly)

Melissa, I needed a fill-in RB2 so I grabbed Ogbonnaya off waivers, what do you think he will do for me??? Thanks, I am a huge fan of your expertise!

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:51 PM)

He was beyond awful last week and would be pulled if they had any other options. But with Hillis and Hardesty out, he's the only real option. But...he plays the worst run defense in the league so I'd give him a shot this week. I'm playing him in one of my leagues.

Chris (Boston)

Hi Melissa. I need to pick 2 WR. Little help? Robinson, Harvin, Breaston, Ford.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:53 PM)

I'm going to say Harvin and Ford. More of a hunch, thinking about targets.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

How do you think the Giants will do at San Francisco?

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:54 PM)

Love badly. Jacobs gets shut down. Manning loses the kind of self-imposed elite label. I do't know actually. I'm hoping they are too high from last week's win, but truthfully I'm nervous as all hell.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:54 PM)

Love was supposed to be lose.

Melissa Jacobs
  (3:56 PM)

OK, with the typos in full force, I'm going to head out. Thanks for playing and just an fyi that my chats will be Thursdays at 3 for the ROS. Except for Thanksgiving, which will be Weds at 3. Thanks for all the great questions! Four-plus hours until kickoff. Yay!
