Hi everyone, let's get rolling.
How effective do you think Jacoby Ford will be after all this time off? Also do you think Hue Jackson or the Raider's organization is being to cautious with their injured players?
No, I don't thiuk they are being too cautious. These have all been tricky injuries to deal with. It would be be hard to imagine Ford will be full go, but he can help, no doubt.
Bill, having a legitimate shot to make the playoffs this year but with serious deficiencies on the defensive side of the ball, do you see Chuck Bresnahan back as the DCoord next year or will Oakland look elsewhere?
I think it depends on how the rest of the season shakes out.
The Broncos have been blown out the past two weeks. How likely is it that "Tebow Time" starts up again Sunday against the Chiefs?
It all depends if Tebow Time equals Turnover TIme. That has been the difference.
Hey Bill, I think if Tebow doesn't have a strong game against KC, Elway will seek a QB in the draft. How would this impact the team, though, which seems (at least before the Buffalo game) staunchly in support of the young QB?
If Tebow blows up again, I think everything will be back on the table.
So who do you like in the Chargers-Raiders game? Sadly, I don't trust the Broncos to take care of business against KC.
I think Raiders get it done. I don't see the Chargers being into it, especially against a more physcial team that has so much more on the line.
Why is it that the Chargers can have all the talent in the world, and yet they flop every year? It's beginning to get quite frustrating to watch failure every Sunday.
They aren't as deep as they used to be. There are a lot od needs on that roster.
Everyone says how great the Raider's D-Line is. But watching the games it feels like there are long stretches where they don't get any pressure on the opposing QB. Is it me or is everyone give them too much credit?
It's frustrating because the entire Oakland defense has a lot of talent, but it gives up way too many plays. It's been going on for the past few years.
The Chiefs have had a major issue getting in the endzone from the red zone this year. What do you think they need to do to fix it?
Getting Charles and Moeaki back won't hurt.
I think the Chiefs/Broncos game comes down to KC's ability to stuff the run? What say you?
Yeah, and Denver can't turn over the ball and the Chiefs need to score touchdowns rather than settle for field goals.
I'm hearing Fisher and Cowher. If AJ is gone, is Cowher the leader? Are there any other prominent names out there?
This is how Cowher comes; If he wants to coach next year (he says he doesn't), Smith is not brougth back and Spanos family wnats to shell out big money.I could see Fisher as a fit either with Smith or without him. He'd cost some bucks, too, thoughs.
Sorry, I lost connection.I was about to answer a quesiton form MicRaider on how I feel about the Raiders-Chargers. I see Oakland winning fairly easily if Palmer cam get the ball in the right hands. As far the Raider Week, in the offseaosn, please refresh me, Mic.
If the Raiders make the playoffs, do you think they stand a chance of moving past the first round?
I think they'd have a better chance on the road as a wild card against Houston than at home against Pittsburgh (if the Steelers are the wild card). I know the importance of playing at home in the playoffs, but matchups are matchups and I think Oakland could get past Houston on the road. They did it in October.
How do you see the Coaching situation playing out in Kansas City? Who are the candidates left in your opinion?
I think Romeo gets the job unless the Chiefs are totally embarrased Sunday.
With as bad as Goodman has been playing and Champ getting up there in age, can you see Denver taking a CB with their 1st round pick next year?
I think that is a position Denver will surely look at, along with the defensive line.
Does it seem like every other team has a grasp on how long players are going to be out except for the raiders?
They know. They just don't tell.
What do the Chargers need to improve their team(besides a new head coach)
They need some impact players on defense nad they may need some new O-linemen depdning oin the fuutres of Dielman, McNeill and Hardwick.
How would you grade the Broncos' draft class this year? Miller obviously is a stud and Franklin has started every game, but what about the safeties and TE's they got? Haven't seen much from them
Carter is good, Moore is not ready yet. Green has a real chance. Thomas is a project.
I think that terrible block in the back call on the Royal kickoff return TD completely changed the game and prevented the Broncos from being able to stick with the run. Your thoughts?
Giving up two offensive and touchdown on a punt return changed the game.
If Denver decides to go another route at QB, do you see Tebow at least remaining on the roster?
I really expect Tebow to be rthe starter unless things go really badly Sunday. I think he will get an offseason and then a full season before Denver makes up its mind.
Haven't heard much on the GM front from Oakland lately. I was just wondering if you happened to have any updates for us.
The focus in on Green Bay executive Reggie McKenzie.
i dint know tebow trew 3 touchdowns against the bills?
He had four, but the league changed one to a fumble. So, it's three.
Has Justin Houston shown enough to take OLB off the Chiefs top draft needs in your opinon?
He's been good. He has a real future. He was a first-round talent who was taken in the third round because of character issues.
If Oakland idin't have so many penalties and so many players injured that they would be a dominate force?
SD and KC has had big injuries this season as well. They happen. The penbalties are on the Riaders. It's been silly.
How is it satistically possible for team to change personell so much, both players and staff in the last 10 years but yet have more penalties then any other team?
I don't get it, either, dude.
Hi Mr. Williamson, any chance Darren McFadden ever survives an entire NFL Season?
I'd liek to say, yes. He is one of my favorite players. But he has to show it.
Is this the AFC West chat or NFL chat? What's your prediction for Cowboys - Giants?
Yep, AFC West.
Do you see the Chargers releasing Mcneil with his injury history and contract and keeping Gaither?
I think that could happen. There are a lot of questions about McNeill's future. I could see the Chargers deciding to move forward with Gaither.
Is McClain our defensive Jamarcus?
I don't think it's that bad.
Hey Bill who is the MVP for each team in the AFC west?
We'll address that in some posts next Wednesday, Tarek.
Hey Bill, how many times will Orton end up in the fetal position Sunday?
He has only been sakced nine tiems all season.
Did the Raiders make a mistake in flunking Gaither's physical?
No, he wasn't ready.
Okay Mr. williamson. Will oakland make the playoffs this sunday??
I have a feeling yes. I relaly think both Denver and Oakland win.I think Oakland gets in as a wild card.
How come Reese is not nationally known? He is a match up nightmare for dfenses and no other fb can catch or block or run as well as he can.
That's what happens woith fullbacks.
Hi Bill, will having OTA's, Training Camp and a preseason help Carson Palmer be a better QB for the Raiders next season and where does Terrelle Pryor fit in now?
Pryor is still a major project for down the road.
The AFC West has the potential to have two teams in the playoffs and KC gave Green Bay their only loss, yet they are not given any respect in the media. Is it deserved?
The division has been done for a while. It takes time to rebuild respect. It's getting there, though.
Your best guess, will Romeo return?
Yes, I think so.
Are the Raiders better suited for a 3 4?
It might be worth a try. They have a lot of players who are natural fits for the 3-4.
What do the Chiefs need in the draft? I could think they might take a C or G.
OL, DL, LB, S
Do you see Kyle Orton remaining a Chief or moving on even if he does well this weekend?
Odds are he moves on because Pioli likes Cassel a lot, but if he does well Sunday, I think the Cheifs will have an open mind.
Do you see McGahee as Denver's #1 RB going into the offseason, and then they draft or sign a RB back to go along? I think Moreno has outworn his welcome.
I think Denver could draft a RB early and use him in a combo role with McGahee.
Dont the Broncos need to pick up a QB regardless of how this season plays out? Is Quinn likely to return as the back up? We have no 3rd string as far as I know.
At least a backup, yes.
Do you know you know the status of the Monkey riding Dog is? Will there be a halftime repeat this week?
I hope so. That was awesome.
As a Raider fan...I would rather win the wild card than win the division and face Pitt or Balt...Do you agree?
Winning the division is awesome, but the whole idea of the playoffs is moving on and in this isntance, playing Houston gives the Raiders a better chance of moving on.
Great hour, folks. Happy New Year and enjoy Week 17.
