Brandon is here!

San Marcos, TX [via mobile]

How does it feel to now be in the conference with the defending super bowl champions?

Brandon Carr
  (1:57 PM)

Oh, it feels great. Added motivation is that opener on Wednesday night. We get the first crach at the Super Bowl champions.

Cody M (Dallas, TX)

Can we expect a Deion Sanders dance on one of your INT's?

Brandon Carr
  (1:58 PM)

Oh man! I gotta practice in the mirror a couple of times before I bring that out. Deion is Deion and Brandon is going to be Brandon. Whatever happens spur of the moment is what we'll see.

Eric (Tampa)

Hey Brandon, is the number you wear important to you? Did you want to keep 39, or didn't it matter to you? Is there any superstition there?

Brandon Carr
  (1:59 PM)

39 was the number that I got coming into the Chiefs. It grew on me. Now I'm to the point where 39 is Brandon Carr. I think it's a unique number for a DB. It's all about me making the number popular and a beautiful number.

C.J. From Palestine Tx. [via mobile]

Will the cowboys finally start pressing receivers now that they have you?

Brandon Carr
  (2:00 PM)

You know what I bring to the table. I like to get in the receivers' face. I'll tailer that around the scheme, of course. I think Coach Ryan has some things that he's waiting to unveil. This offseason is key to getting chemistry. It should be exciting.

Josh (Center, Texas)

What WR past or present would you like to have the oppertunity to cover man to man?

Brandon Carr
  (2:00 PM)

I'm in the NFC now. All of those receivers. I'll get a chance to check some of the best in the game. The NFC has a lot of talented, explosive WRs. It will be a challenge. We can start Sept. 5.

Reggie Jackson (Waldorf Maryland)

Besides the hefty raise the Cowboys gave you(well deserved) what else sold you on becoming a Cowboy?

Brandon Carr
  (2:01 PM)

Just the atmosphere. The philosophy of Jerry Jones and that trickles down. They're all about winning now. They're determined to winning now. The facilities. The private jet. Everything.

Jack (Dallas)

Brandon, welcome to the Cowboys! Have to ask you about your impressions of Tim Tebow. What did you see in him when you played him last year? Can he be successful in the NFL? What does he need to work on?

Brandon Carr
  (2:02 PM)

A talented guy. He defied all of the odds. He found a way to get it done. Through all of the adversity and naysayers, he still keeps his poise and wins ball games.

Josh (Center, Texas)

Do you talk trash while on the field? Or do you let your game talk for you?

Brandon Carr
  (2:03 PM)

I'm more of a actions speak louder than words. But at the same time, I'm not going to bite my tongue.

Miguel pharr tx [via mobile]

Hey carr! Welcome to the Americas team ! how does it feel to have an absolute beast like demarcus ware on your team? I expect a 5+ interception year for you considering the preasure Dware puts on the QB lol does that sound realistic? No preasure.

Brandon Carr
  (2:04 PM)

I'm just excited to get out there on the field with that entire defense. The front seven put a lot of pressure on the QBs. For a DB, you hope that they put pressure on the QB as quick as possible. If you turn 6 seconds of covering into 3, you love that.

Tony (Madisonville)

Welcome to the Cowboys! Do you know any of the current Cowboys? Who are you most looking forward to meeting?

Brandon Carr
  (2:05 PM)

My first day was Monday. I feel like the new kid on school. It's nice to put faces to the names. That was exciting about my first week in Dallas. I met all of the guys. There were about 40 guys working out. I met the core guys. The vibe was pretty strong right now.

Chris (Connecticut)

Brandon, glad to have you in Big D. Are you worried about possibly having to play the left side or it doesn't matter?

Brandon Carr
  (2:05 PM)

It doesn't matter. You have you the whole offseason to fine tune the skills and get ready for both sides of the field. Wherever duty calls, I'm ready for it.

Dave (NJ)

You bump into Herm up therE? He took a chance on you?

Brandon Carr
  (2:06 PM)

I sure did! I saw Herm inbetween one of my breaks. I'm excited to get on set with him later on. He's the guy that allowed me to get my foot in the door in the NFL.

Joseph Cosolito (New York city)

What was the experience of visiting cowboys stadium like?

Brandon Carr
  (2:07 PM)

Woo! What's a good word ...? I was escatic. Close to overwhelmed. Having heard so much about it. And being in Dallas. And everything that I've heard, plus more. I feel good to be in Dallas, my family is getting settled. Ready for this journey.

TJ (New Mexico)

How do you think you will do against the great receivers in the East?

Brandon Carr
  (2:08 PM)

How do I thikn I will do? I think I will do well. IT's a big challenge. I knew what the NFC East had to offer, but I felt I had what it takes to go to the next level and prove myself all over again.

chris (willis tx)

Hey brandon, When you were entering the league was dallas interested in you during the draft process?

Brandon Carr
  (2:09 PM)

I don't believe they did. But KC was a good fit for me to come out from a small school and a place that I could play right away. Work on my craft. The opportunity came for me to take it to the next level. Dallas came after me hard and it's a place I dreamed out since I was a little boy and the dream became a reality.

prince (AZ)

What other teams was interested in you going into free agency?

Brandon Carr
  (2:10 PM)

Dallas was my one and only pick, but there were a lot of teams that were interested. That was the exciting part about it. You put four years of work in and you get to see what teams want your services and what teams want you as a part of their defense. Dallas was the team that showed the most interest. Now today I'm a Cowboy.

Jimmy (San Antonio)

Brandon first i want to say welcome to America's Team!! We are excited to have you and hope you excel here. With that being said, If you have a weakness what would you say it is? I know being a professional athlete it's hard to admit but say im Jason Garrett asking you for your honest opinion. Thank Brandon. God Bless!

Brandon Carr
  (2:11 PM)

I may sometimes overwork. I think I work too hard. I need to rest some more.

Brandon H (Grand Prairie)

Who was your favorite team growing up and how does it feel to join the Cowboys franchise?

Brandon Carr
  (2:12 PM)

I'm playing for them. The Star. Dallas Cowboys.

Brandon Carr
  (2:12 PM)

Deion Sanders. Aikman. Smith. Irvin. I'm sold.

Josh (Rhode Island)

Will Brandon Carr shut up all the local pats fans for me about dallas' horrid 2011 defense??

Brandon Carr
  (2:13 PM)

The past is the past. It's time for a new season. Dallas is making a lot of moves to put more pieces of the puzzle together. We have a lot of work. We are expecting a lot of good things in 2012.

Tony (Richmond, CA)

What's your biggest challenge as a new member of the Dallas Cowboys?

Brandon Carr
  (2:13 PM)

Probably finding a nice restaurant that I can go to once a week.

Jason (Tucson)

What are your expectations for not just you but the rest of the Dallas secondary seeing as how you are the #1 corner?

Brandon Carr
  (2:14 PM)

My expectations are to be the best secondary in the NFL. I want to be the best and I want the guys alongside me to think the same way.

Coop (Maine)

How excited are you to be playing the Giants on opening night? You get to get a taste of the NFC EAST right away. We gotta win the NFL East this year!

Brandon Carr
  (2:15 PM)

My palms are sweating right now! I'm ready to go. The countdown has begun.

Brandon Carr
  (2:15 PM)

Thank you for the warm welcome to Cowboy Nation. It's time to get the 2012 season underway. How about them Cowboys!
