Michigan State's Jerel Worthy is ready to take your questions!
How glad are you to be coming into the league this year and not last when you'd have to deal with the lockout?
It's very fortunate this year, because there is a lot of stability with the new CBA. To be able to come in and go to work right away and be sure that everything is in place.
What's been more tiring, the draft process or the recruiting proces?
The draft process, because you're in and out of different cities every week. You have long meetings with a lot of people. It's a lot more stressful, because there's a lot more riding on it.
What are you draft day plans?
I will be in Ohio with my friends and family celebrating. Hoping for the best selection possible. Hopefully I can go high.
Would you rather sack the QB or get an INT?
Oooh. That's a hard one. I would rather get a sack.
What's the MSU game that will stick out in your mind the most?
The Hail Mary. It says it all.
At home? That's cool....so what'll be on the menu?
A lot of different things. Chicken. Mac 'n' cheese. My grandmothers going to take part in it and I'm just going to let her go to work. What she does best.
Any QBs you'll be happy to get a hit on?
Hopefully, I'll get a hit on them all. I would say Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, because they're not used to getting sacked.
What's your favorite part about MSU?
The best part is coming out of the tunnel for a night game. Nothing like it.
Do you pay attention to any of the mock drafts?
No. Just focusing in on being ready when I'm called. Just enjoying everything and getting ready to make an impact when I can.
Jerel, Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I have a routine that I have to do everything the same, from getting dressed to the type of socks I wear to a lot of different things. Everything has to be the same.
What made you decide to go to State?
Coach Dantonio and the vision he had for the Spartans.
How much have you been working out during this draft process?
Every day. Five days a week.
What do you think you'll bring to a team?
A lot of versatility. A great attitude. A work ethic that I want to make the team better. Being a great teammate.
If MSU loses to UGA in the Outback bowl, are you back for your Senior season?
Yes sir. Definitely.
Has any team been more interested than another?
No, everybody's been pretty much equal. It's a toss up in the air as to where you'll go. You can't get a good feel for who wants me more.
Is Draymond Green versatile enough to play on the football team?
Yeah, I could see him being more of a receiving TE than anything else. He has good hands.
What was your favorite moment in college?
Beating Michigan four years in a row. Enough said.
What's your favorite sandwich at Penn Station?
Cheesesteak. Hands down! Cheesesteak.
Jerel: are you more of a pass rushing dt or do you focus on stopping the run?
More pass rushing. Sacks lead to big bucks.
Which of your interviews or workouts have gone the best so far?
I feel the pro day went better than the combine. I think I did well at all of my interviews. But the pro day was better than the combine.
How much do you like hitting the QB?
No better feeling than hitting the QB.
What's the first thing you're gonna buy with that NFL contract?
Buy my mother a house.
Thanks for all of your questions and support. I look forward to the NFL draft coming up. Until then, be safe.
