What made you want to enter the draft and not stay in school?
I just considered the positives and negatives. The positives outweighed the negatives. I talked to my family and those that have been in my shoes.
What will you miss about Hokie football?
Coming through the tunnel on Thursday nights.
What was your favorite moment in college?
Playing Georgia Tech...any time.
How long you ben wearing bowties? Like the look today!
I started tieing them when I was 17, but I mix it up.
How have you stayed in shape since declaring for the draft? Any particular location?
Just the same workouts I normally do in the offseason. Running and lifting weights and football drills.
What role has Virginia Tech played in helping you shape your football accomplishments?
Very big role. Coming out of high school, I think I've developed a lot with vision and becoming a more complete back.
You seem to prefer driving old classic cars, which is refreshing. Do you have your sites on getting any classic cars that you would love to have in the near future?
Some type of Chevy. No younger than an '84.
You had said several days ago that you planned to watch the draft from home in Danville. Is that still the case?
Yeah, just at home. In my basketball shorts. I've already picked out the shorts.
Whats your draft plans?
No party. Just hanging out and my mom will do some cooking.
What was the biggest adjustment from High School to College, and what do you think will be the biggest heading into the NFL?
From high school to college was the pace of the game. Into the NFL, it's going to be probably the same thing. Just the pace of the game.
What can you do to help the team you get drafted by in the NFL?
Just versatility coming out of the backfield. Running inside, outside. Speed. Special teams.
Who do you try to model your game after?
All of the legends.
What was the most interesting thing about going to interview with NFL teams?
There were a lot of the same questions.
David, Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Favorite team to play against?
How exciting is it to have the oppourtunity to play in the NFL? What do you think would it be like to play for you and RGIII to play for the Washington Redskins and create one of the most dynamic QB, RB duos for years to come.
It's very exciting. With the draft approaching, it gets a little nervous. I get a little nervous.
What is the most important thing for any young player like you to remember when entering the draft?
Being in the NFL is a lifetime dream so as long as I get to get drafted and put on a team.
How much travel have you been doing this process?
I've been living in hotels for the most part.
Is there any player you have been working out with to get prepared?
Did you talk to ryan williams about the process after getting drafted?
We keep in contact since he declared.
How have your hometown people reacting to your declaring for the draft?
Very proud. And supportive.
Favortite thing to do off the fiel?
Are you better than Lamar Miller?
We both are two good ACC backs.
Out of all your touchdown runs, which one is most memorable? An who was it against?
Georgia Tech. Both TDs.
What is the best advice that your parents have given you as you approach the draft?
Just remember it's all a blessing.
What team do you wish to do?
I never had a favorite NFL team growing up. I don't have a preference.

Very competitive. Definitely a football game I will always remember.
After the Michigan bowl game, did that really motivate you to push hard in the off-season and work out your hardest?

Nothing real specific.
