  (3:01 PM)

Hey guys, what you got?

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Since Today is NFL Draft Day, Who do you think that the New York Giants will select in the 2012 NFL Draft Tonight?

Ohm
  (3:03 PM)

In my mock, I picked LSU WR R. Randle. I think if Coples, Mercilus, C. Jones, Kirkpatrick, Hightower and S. Hill are gone, the Giants could go Randle in first round. In my Giants mock pick on Sports Center, I picked Clemson DE Branch when all those guys and Randle were gone.

Pete (MI)

Sparty sucks!

Ohm
  (3:03 PM)

Again, talk to me when Michigan football actually beats MSU football for once.

Eric (MI)

Elisha is a dork.

Ohm
  (3:04 PM)

Two-time Super Bowl champ. Pretty cool to me.

Drew ((NY))

Wut A Big Ohm, Been A While. What Is The Osi Extension Situation Lookin Like?

Ohm
  (3:04 PM)

Osi thinks he won't get what he wants from Giants with other young players' contracts that need to be eventually taken care of. They've just had preliminary talks. That's it.

Michael C. (Westport, CT)

What's Coughlin's extension gonna look like in your opinion?

Ohm
  (3:05 PM)

Good question. Perhaps another 2-4 years I would think. Up to how long he wants to coach. Giants will take care of him.

Benny (Bronx)

Would Osi take something like 13 mil total over 2 years? How do you see this playing out?

Ohm
  (3:05 PM)

I think Osi is looking for one last big contract. He's 30. That's my guess.

Joe S. (Joisey)

Supposedly Tebow's gonna live in Hoboken. Think Eli will throw a housewarming shindig?

Ohm
  (3:06 PM)

QBs usually all know each other and are cool with one another so why not?

Dutch (Harlem)

Whats good Ohm?! Say it aint so about Osi!! Any way you see him get extended in NY or will it be by another team?

Ohm
  (3:06 PM)

Hard to say. My gut feeling is Osi remains a Giant this season, extension or not.

Tom (Toms River, NJ)

Considering where they pick, and Jerry Reese's track record for taking the best available regardless of need...I think predicting the Giants pick is laughably impossible. I have learned to trust the pick even after disagreeing with the Hakeem Nicks pick (I wanted Maualuga) and the JPP pick. Never been happier to be wrong on both.

Ohm
  (3:07 PM)

Tom, try predicting seven rounds!!!! It's impossible. I got real lucky hitting on Jacquian in 6th round last year. Giants don't even know how the draft is going to play out. But we still have to do it. Ya know? Whatever happens, I think Giants are among best in the biz at drafting.

Shawn J (DE)

Ohm, I like what Osi has brought to Big Blue but will the Giants end up trading him tonight for a draft pick or other player?

Ohm
  (3:08 PM)

Always possible but I think he stays. Just my guess.

Chris (Apopka)

Hey Ohm, i just wanna say i love your reporting of the giants, i wouldn't have anyone else do it. So do you think the giants will use their first draft pick and draft Fleener the TE from stanford?

Ohm
  (3:10 PM)

Thanks Chris! But there are several great Giants reporters on the beat! But thanks. I do not think the Giants will take Fleener. That's just from what I've been hearing.

Ohm
  (3:10 PM)

Thomas (Brooklyn, NY)

If the Giants were to go offense in the first round, which position do you think they will likely go for- RB, WR, or TE?

Ohm
  (3:11 PM)

Of those three... WR. Then perhaps OL. I'm hearing no on TE or RB in Round 1.

aok (cliffside park)

What are the odds the giants take another DE :)?

Ohm
  (3:12 PM)

Really good if one of the ones they like drops to 32. Remember, Osi situation uncertain. Kiwanuka entering last year of his deal. Tuck's deal up after next year. Tollefson gone.

Tony (Richmond, CA)

Is LB the primary need for the Giants in this draft?

Ohm
  (3:12 PM)

Nope, especially after they traded for Keith Rivers.

Shawn J (DE)

What's up Ohm, the Giants have lacked a solid return man are there any potential draft sleepers that could help the GMen in this area?

Ohm
  (3:13 PM)

I'd love to see them take someone with return skills. Joe Adams I think had the best yards per average in the country. Rainey from FLA can return too I think. MSU's Keshawn Martin is a dangerous return man as well.

Ryan (Dayton) [via mobile]

What's good ohm? You mentioned in the mock draft blog post that you thought the NYG were going to go another direction from Fleener. Was there something they saw in him they didn't like or just want to address other needs at 32?

Ohm
  (3:17 PM)

I don't know all the details. I know some reports have questioned his blocking skills, something that is important to the Giants. I also think they probably see that they can get more value at 32 with another position as well. I think they probably like his receiving skills though.

Ohm
  (3:17 PM)

Sorry, I got knocked off line. Should be back up.

Aaron (NYC)

Ohm, looks like your chat is pretty slow today. I'll help out - Whats the expectations this year on Marvin Austin and Tyrell Thomas coming back fron injury?

Ohm
  (3:18 PM)

Having computer problems. Giants aren't sure what they will get out of Austin. He hasn't played in over two years. Thomas also coming back from torn ACL. So you have to temper your expectations. But I think Thomas starts at CB. Austin backs up Joseph and Canty.

steve (princeton, nj)

ohm baby! i read your mock draft and i must say ... stick to reporting ... it's what you do best!

Ohm
  (3:19 PM)

Again, you try doing a seven-round mock where you try to project who you think the Giants will take... not who you want the Giants to take. And also remember who you think will actually be there when they pick and account for the fact that they do not draft based on need but take best on their board. I tried my best to do that. If I picked who I wanted for them or who I thought they should take regardless of thinking if that person would be there or not, the mock would look completely different.

Mac (Brooklyn)

Hi Ohm, Do you see the Giants trading down in the first round and, if so, for whom? Thanks much.

Ohm
  (3:19 PM)

Possible. Depends on how the first round shakes out. Impossible to say right now.

aaron (ny to the c)

ohm - hows your day going? mine is boring at work. Q: will the giants address the RB situation in the draft? its their most glaring hole on the team IMO

Ohm
  (3:20 PM)

I'm in a parking lot in my car trying to chat with you guys right now. So I need to get home soon and get ready for the draft. LOL. I think they will. I hope they will. Just might not be as high of a pick as some of you guys would like. We'll have to see.

Haywood J (The middle of the ocean)

Could you see the giants potentially moving up to take a guy like luke kuechly?

Ohm
  (3:21 PM)

Doubt it. Not to say he isn't worth it but just don't see Giants spending a hefty price to move up.

Primo (New York, NY)

I believe the OT position should be addressed as well as the TE position. McKenzie needs to be replaced soon. Also the CB position needs more depth. I think a CB should be picked in the 1st round at 32. What do you think?

Ohm
  (3:21 PM)

Agreed. Possible if Kirkpatrick drops to 32.

Mike (NY)

Realistically, what is going to be expected from Prince this year?

Ohm
  (3:22 PM)

Hard to say. Is his foot OK? He had an injection to help it heal. Says he will be ready for camp. My expectations... third cornerback behind Webster and Thomas. Expect ups and downs like most rookies. His rookie season last year was largely lost to injury so this is kind of like his rookie season part II.

Shawn J (DE)

Ohm, what can the GMEN expect out of WR Ramses Barden and the TE Bennett this season?

Ohm
  (3:23 PM)

They hope Ramses will step up and be the third receiver. He will compete with Jernigan and Hixon. They hope Bennett shows his full potential as a starter.

Newt (Jacksonville)

When do the Giants invest in a decent backup QB? If Eli gets hurt, the season's over.

Ohm
  (3:23 PM)

They got David Carr. But I wouldn't mind seeing them take a QB to develop late late in the draft.

Mike (NY)

Any chance they look at taking a DT at 32?

Ohm
  (3:25 PM)

I think better chance they take DE like Coples, Mercilus, C. Jones if they drop or CB like Kirkpatrick or LB like Hightower or WR like Hill or Randle before DT. Even see OL before DT. Although you know I like Worthy.

steve (princeton, nj)

oh c'mon ohm you know i was just having a little fun with you. i know you've got a thicker skin than that. seriously do you expect a few more cuts in june and more free agent signings after that?

Ohm
  (3:27 PM)

I do have thick skin. I'm just explaining... I think a lot of people forget or think that a mock is who they want... not taking into consideration it is actually who they think Giants will take with what is there. If I had my choice, they'd be taking probably Martin in first round or Worthy if a DE doesn't drop and then go OL in second round and maybe WR in third round. But Jerry Reese knows infinitely a lot more than me and is a lot smarter than I am.

Mike (NJ)

Have you heard if the Giants have any thoughts of trading out of 32 and moving back a handful of picks?

Ohm
  (3:27 PM)

Have not heard that... but possible if they see a bunch of guys with same value at 32 and can get one of them lower.

Ohm
  (3:27 PM)

Alright guys, thanks for the questions! Time for me to get out of this parking lot. Talk to you tonight on Twitter perhaps!
