Hey everybody...good afternoon..didn't realize until a minute a ago, I'd being doing a chat today with the 600 over a week away. That's okay because I love to talk to my fantasy friends..uh I'm mean..oh you know what I mean...Will have to cut it a little short today though special occasion dinner with the better half tonight.
Howdy Mark, Will The All-Star race be a reliable indicator for the 600? I faded a bit last week with the 39 hurting me at the end. The "Dinger" and Ambrose both ran good at Charlotte last year. As far as the 600, rate these four, 39, 55, 22 and 9. Thanks as always, Bill
I think the all-star race can help Bill no doubt about it..but teams that run poorly often can figure out why and have it fixed by the time we get back to Charlotte..I'd probably rate those four 39,9,55, 22 going into Charlotte and before I've really started to dig into the numbers.
Who do you think will win the Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte & the John Deere 250 at Iowa?
I think potentially Austin Dillon gets his first career Nationwide win at Iowa....and how about Greg Biffle Saturday night or Jimmie Johnson.
Who do you think will be the top five scoring drivers for the next segment? My picks in order are 48 18 5 11 2, if all of them start all the races. I know they are too expensive to pick on the same team, I just think thet will be the top scorers.
48,16,48,11, and 14 are my top-5 in that category.
Who do you think will win the Sprint Showdown at Charlotte?
How about Allmendinger?
It seems this latest Urt meltdown spells the doom to his year. Is he worth even being any consideration in the future? Thanks.
Yes, I think he'll be worth looking into down the road, mainly because his value has dropped so low he's going to be more attractive than he was in segment one...and you're welcome Ross.
WHAT I GOT TO DO TO MAKE THOUGHTS PRODUCING RIGHT ENERGIE TO PREVENT PEOPLE GETTING PAINS INSIDER?
Hey Mark, where would Matt Kenseth be in your prerace rankings for the 600? And how is a team of 17,55,48,5, and 31 compared to a team of 17,55,18,11 and 31?
I think I like your first team a little better Rob..17,48, 5 will be very tough.
Anyone out there?
Mark, Just filled in a team to fill the empty slots. 48,99,5,24,31Like to use unter-valued drivers and hope they run up to their potential. Any changes and how about using this team for the long haul?
They all have decent potential..Gordon and Burton have been very good at times at Dover, Loudon and some of the other upcoming tracks. So they might pay off, but Gordon's luck has been so bad it's scary..and at this point I think week in and week out Kenseth and Biffle the best Roush cars.
Hi Mark. Where will jr.'s next win be? What do you think of this line up next week 88,11,29,20, & 51? 48 or 29? Thanks!
He nearly won it last year Jill so hope springs eternal...you never know..it's liable to come the one week we say he doesn't have a chance in you no where...lol...initial team is daring to be great and I would definitely take the 48 over the 29 because Harvick and Charlotte are not a great mix despite his lucky win last year.
Who do you think is the Best Female Driver that you have seen in NASCAR?
Danica Patrick...is the most accomplished and talented female driver we have ever had in my opinion.
Who do you think will win the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes?
Bodemeister goes out a little slower and redeems himself.
Mark, first time experience at Darlington was awesome last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. You see the Best Buy/Zest/Fifth/Third combo being with the 17 next year?
Darlington is a really cool place to go to and you didn't even offer me a hot dog? What's up with that?..Yes, I also think Zest and Fifth Third Bancorp have signed mutli-year deals with Kenseth so they will be back.
How do you determine the price of the drivers for the scc?
It's all about trying to rank them first top to bottom and then we begin to put values on them that will allow for some up and down movement..In the second segment of the game next week beginning at Charlotte, we actually dropped the values a little lower to start with to see if that would allow players more flexibility as the segment wears on into the summer. So what do you think of them?
Slow day, Guru?
Yes, and I figured it would be with the 600 next week and not this week. Thought some folks would ask about the Nationwide Pick'em contest and Sunday's race at Iowa.
Well, then. Who do you have for the All-Star Race? 17,48,18, and 5 should be pretty sporty. I could also see Truex pulling an 09' Kahne and getting into the race and winning.
I like and agree with everything you just wrote Taylor. I really think if a Truex can get in the extra laps in the showdown will prove to be an advantage.
What can I say Mark, I was out with me, big brother Phil, our buddy Drew and my Uncle Paul. Only thing I had was w Fiber one bars and a pretzel. Will say this the SpringHill Suites in CLT had an awesome b-fast.Any update on the RPM situation Mark, I heard at Darlington they were close to re-signing and seeing there shop in person, they are entrenched at RFR's campus.
As I've said Nick with that organization finally competitive again,I just don't see them breaking away from Roush and Ford. I might be wrong, but just don't see it..It would take a truck load of money and they still have to figure out who would build the Dodge engines. Penske could possibly do it, but that would be pretty funky deal if he's running Fords.
Got to run everyone...See you next Wednesday when we really start to get serious about the Coke 600..Have a great week and weekend..Sad to say but must "The Guru has left the building!"
