Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah will be here shortly to take your questions!

Kyle (Rockford)

How's the ankle?

Joakim Noah
  (12:56 PM)

My ankle is feeling a lot better. It's not 100%. I'm rehabbing it in NYC. It's one of the reasons that I'm not playing in the Olympics this year, to make sure it's 100% for the NBA season.

Chris (Detroit)

So, is it true that Vita Coco cures hangovers?

Joakim Noah
  (12:57 PM)

That is the truest statement of the day. Of the summer. Vita Coco has a lot of electrolytes and potassium and is very hydrating. It's unbelievable and cheap way to cure hangovers.

Jay (Detroit, MI)

Yo Joakim! you're one of my fav players in the league and I root for your success! I just want to ask you, how disappointing was last season man? Injuries are a part of the game I know but I cant help but to think WHAT IF?! This season u guys def could've raised another Championship banner!

Joakim Noah
  (12:58 PM)

Thank you. That is very sweet of you. It was very difficult to lose the way we did. I too believe that we could have went a lot further and won the NBA championship, unfortunately, we lost in the first round. But we will be back, ready to go next season.

Drom John (Macon, GA)

Would France be a medal winner if you were healthy?

Joakim Noah
  (12:58 PM)

I think that France still has a chance to get a medal. It is a very talented group. It was unfortunate that I'm not going to be able to be a part of it because of my ankle, but I know it's the right decision.

David (San Diego)

how did you get involved with Vita Coco?

Joakim Noah
  (1:00 PM)

I got involved with Vita Coco while doing an ESPN The Magazine shoot and we were looking in my fridge. It was filled with Vita Coco. I kind of look like somebody who would be a part of Vita Coco because I look tropical and I look like I drink coconuts fresh off the tree. I look like someone who would climb the tree to drink fresh coconuts. They decided to make me their only basketball player and I'm proud of that.

Jarek (Batavia, Il)

Joakim, with all the roster moves and Derrick out for most of the year, how will you and the rest of the team adjust to this different roster from the previous two seasons?

Joakim Noah
  (1:00 PM)

I think it's going to be a very exciting beginning of the year. Nobody is giving us a chance right now and we are an underdog. But we are looking forward to the challenge. I think people will sleep on us, but when it matters, we'll be ready to kick some butt.

Rick (Oakland)

Jo,You've been working with Kareem. Will we see the skyhook this season?

Joakim Noah
  (1:01 PM)

Kareem who is somebody who is mentoring me. I've been able to spend a couple of weeks with him. He's someone who is very interesting and full of knowledge. Working with him is very valuable.

Joakim Noah
  (1:01 PM)

The skyhook does not look like his at all.

Dan (FL)

Should I drink Vita Coco when I wake up or before I pass out to try to cure the hangover?

Joakim Noah
  (1:02 PM)

Dan, you should drink as many Vita Coco coconut waters as possible. You can not overdose on them. The more you drink the better. Happy you are apart of the Vita Coco team.

Tommy (Madison, WI)

Any chance that you change your hairstyle?

Joakim Noah
  (1:02 PM)

No.

Matt (Chicago)

Have you kept in contact with D-Rose this offseason? If so, what is the status of his injury?

Joakim Noah
  (1:03 PM)

Derrick is very committed to coming back as soon as possible. He is somebody who is working hard on getting that knee right. Training very hard for that. Yes, I've been in contact with Derrick.

JRJ (Gretna, NE)

What is your thoughts on losing Omer Asik to the Rockets and bringing back Kirk Hinrich?

Joakim Noah
  (1:04 PM)

Kirk-y work-y is a good friend of mine. He lives down the street from where I live. He's my neighbor. I'm very happy that he's back on the team because he's one tough little schmuck. I'm very happy because I think he'll help us win some ball games this year.

Matt (Chicago)

What does your charity Noah's Arc Foundation do to help children?

Joakim Noah
  (1:05 PM)

I think that Noah's Arc Foundation is about helping kids reach their full potential, teaching kids how to express themselves through a positive light through not just sports but arts as well. It's about helping kids in their education and just bettering yourself. We have a lot of projects that are coming up. Obviously Chicago has a history of violence and is going through a lot of issues. As Bulls players, it's our responsibility to try and help as much as possible.

Solomon (Bay Area,CA)

Who are some players that u just really love to stick it to! (II) Lebron? KG? who???

Joakim Noah
  (1:06 PM)

Yes.

Joakim Noah
  (1:06 PM)

In that order too.

Tommy (Madison, WI)

Have you tried to correct your shooting stroke? What happened?

Joakim Noah
  (1:06 PM)

People try to fix me all of the time. Unfortunately, I am unfixable.

Joakim Noah
  (1:07 PM)

This is also why I love Vita Coco coconut water, because they like me the way I am.

chris (Connecticut )

how close will you be watching from the Olympics, and how do you compare the dream team of 1992 to the current team usa team. Hope your recovery is going good

Joakim Noah
  (1:08 PM)

I think it's unfair to compare. I think people should just enjoy good basketball. Not being a part of the Olympics is difficult, because it would be a good experience, but I have to look at the big picture and be 100% ready for the up and coming season.

Marcus (Chicago )

Going into the season are your expectations the same as they were last year?

Joakim Noah
  (1:08 PM)

I think as a player, my expectations are to win the game, the next game. Those are my expectations. To be in a position to win the game at the end.

Chris (Los Angeles, CA)

Hey Joakim, I'm a big fan of your game! Which areas of your game do you think you've improved the most since coming into the league and what's the area you most want to improve this offseason?

Joakim Noah
  (1:09 PM)

I will be working on my conditioning, to be in tip top shape. I will be working on everything to become a more all around player.

toddy (minnesota)

where can i buy vita coco water at

Joakim Noah
  (1:10 PM)

Hey toddy...I hope your summer is treating you well. Toddy, you can get Vita Coco anywhere. Go to the deli, the corner store. You got it. You can figure it out. The local grocery store.

Mike (Green Bay)

From 1-10 how painful was it to come back in the game and play on that injured ankle ? Do you think it did more damage ?

Joakim Noah
  (1:11 PM)

It really sucked. It was very painful and it was even more painful that we lost the game.

Jay (Chicago)

So, any vacations to Cleveland lately?

Joakim Noah
  (1:12 PM)

I have not made any vacation plans to Cleveland ever in my life. And I will never go to Cleveland on vacation in my life. Even though I have heard that the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is a great place to visit.

Zac (Sterling)

Jo, whats your take on the up coming bears season?

Joakim Noah
  (1:13 PM)

I'm a big fan of all of the Chicago teams, because I like to see the people happy. When the Chicago sports teams do well, the people are happy and so I am happy.

Joakim Noah
  (1:13 PM)

To all my fans, I think we should all be happy together. And we should all drink Vita Coco coconut water together. Cheers! I would like to propose a toast. Go Bulls! Go Gators! Allez Le Bleu!
