Buzzmaster
  (10:44 AM)

We'll have the guys stopping by to chat at the top of the hour!

Buzzmaster
  (10:53 AM)

They're here!

Jon (West virgnia)

what are you expecting WVU record to be this year

Geno Smith
  (10:54 AM)

Record wise, I don't know. I expect us to win. I know it will be tough. The Big 12 is a prestigous conference. I just look forward to the chance to compete.

Adam (Memphis, TN)

How good is Texas gonna be this year??

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (10:55 AM)

We've been working real hard this summer, putting in the work, trying to be the best we can be as a team. Working on our defense to get better and our offense to be better. We're focusing on the start and how we start. We haven't even started camp yet this year, so we can't tell yet.

Dave (DC)

Geno, while the WVU offense has been billed as one of the best in the nation, it seems that only half of that side of the ball has really had much success. With Dustin Garrison returning from injury and Buie, Alston, and Clarke also in the backfield, how often do you expect to go to the run game so that defenses don't cheat on the pass?

Geno Smith
  (10:56 AM)

We excpect to run it very often. We'll take whatever the defense gives us. I'm not a selfish player, neither are the WRs. If we have to, we run it 100 times a game.

Gary (The Woodlands, TX)

To JJ - Do you think the media may be making more of the QB issue than it really is? Sure it would be great to settle on one, but ultimately who ever gives Texas the best chance to win and puts the D in the best position should get the nod. Your thoughts?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (10:57 AM)

We don't have a set QB situation right now, so I know why they're making a big deal about it. We can still win with guys switching. The coaches will decide it during camp.

Phil (Charleston, WV )

Jackson, how do you feel about the new comers into the league? And when you play WVU you think you are going to get ahold of geno?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (10:58 AM)

I don't know. This guy is pretty fast. I'm going to try and box him in. Hopefully we do a good job of boxing him in. They're a talented team.

Stedman (Morgantown)

Geno,Other than the backyard brawl. What is the one team/game/or location you are going to miss from the Big East.

Geno Smith
  (10:59 AM)

I am going to miss South Florida. A lot of my friends in South Florida. Raymond James Stadium is one of the best, so I'll miss that.

Carl (Denver)

Jackson, what is it about Texas that the school is continually able to turn out excellent DL's like yourself?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (10:59 AM)

Our coach knows his stuff. He studies the league and he works on our technique. He wants us to constantly work on it. He wants us to be a master, not a jack of all trades.

Jay (Toledo)

Geno! What would you see as the biggest hurdle going in to the new conference? Also, what's your opinion on the new gray uniforms? Can't wait to see you guys tear it up this year! Let's go Mountaineers!

Geno Smith
  (11:00 AM)

I think it will just be adjusting to the traveling. Football is football. The guys are bigger in Texas. We'll have to adjust to going 200+ miles and getting up for an early morning game. Or flying back after a night game.

Bubby (Morgantown, WV)

Geno, what are your thoughts on the Heisman talk, and mustard?

Geno Smith
  (11:01 AM)

I don't have any emotion towards it. I'm honored to be mentioned as one of the top guys in the country. I'm going to go out and play as hard as I had and not get caught up in it.

Jeff (RI)

Jackson, what's the biggest thing your dad has taught you?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:02 AM)

He's really preached working on my game, improving every day. The greats are the ones that work on their game every day when the others are sleeping. He would say to me that you either get better or you get worse, you never stay the same.

Jeff (Mooresville,N. C.)

Who will win Big 12?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:02 AM)

We'll see at the end of the season!

Geno Smith
  (11:02 AM)

Let the best man win!

Trey (Dallas)

Ninjas vs. Dinosaurs. Who wins?

Geno Smith
  (11:03 AM)

Dinosaurs.

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:03 AM)

I think they're a little bit bigger.

Geno Smith
  (11:03 AM)

Though it would be cool to see ninjas win.

Wes Lunt (Stillwater)

Geno, How far can you throw the football?

Geno Smith
  (11:03 AM)

65 yards.

Petey (Houston)

Jackson Jeffcoat, do you feel stronger going into this season? Is there an NFL player (DE or LB) that you try to emulate on the field or watch tape of?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:04 AM)

Definitely, I've been improving on my strength. After surgery I feel great. I'll be 100% once the season rolls around.

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:05 AM)

There are a lot of guys I like to watch. I like to watch our old Texas player Brian Orakpo. Ware. I like to see my dad play. You've got guys like Freeney and Mathis on one team. I try to take things from all of them.

Phil (Charleston, WV )

Geno what game you most excited about this year?

Geno Smith
  (11:06 AM)

The first game. We play Marshall the first game. It will be a relief to finally play and stop talking about football so much.

couch burner (cincy)

Jackson, Where is the toughest place to play an Away Game?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:06 AM)

A lot of them are all pretty tough. I've heard WVU is pretty tough too. KSU might be one of the toughest ones to play at.

Ross (NY)

Jackson, Texas have best D-Line in College Football right now?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:07 AM)

We're not where we would like to be, but we're not focused on being the best in football. There are many that have been around for years before. We're working hard on being the best we can be.

Shannon (Atlanta)

Geno, you have to be excited about playing at Texas, hope Madsen doesn't try to make steaks out of the bull!

Geno Smith
  (11:08 AM)

Yeah, I am. I've been wanting to play in Texas for a long time. To be able to play at one of the biggest venues in the country I'm looking forward to it. They'll be some good competition.

Ross (NY)

Jackson, If your a projected top 5 pick you gonna go pro?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:09 AM)

I'm not focusing on that. It's all about during the season. That's how you get beat, looking ahead.

Richard (Victor, WV)

Geno, what do you tell recruits when trying to sell WVU?

Geno Smith
  (11:09 AM)

I tell them that it's a great place to play football. It's very peaceful. It's different than Miami. It was a culture shock for me. The people are nice. They treat you well. If you want to win games then I think WVU is the place for you.

dillon erie pa [via mobile]

geno, two things, first; how do u approach this season knowing you threw 4000 yards last year, im rooting for 4500 yards for you, just saying, and second; does going for the big east to the big 12 affect ur game and is it a big transition?

Geno Smith
  (11:11 AM)

It's my final season in college football, so I can't approach it any other way. I'm leaving no stones unturned. Last season's success was good, but it was last season. I'm going to try to improve on that, because it's my final season.

Trey (Dallas)

Jackson, If you were a really good defensive end you'd keep Geno from answering questions.

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:11 AM)

We're not in pads right now!

Billy (Round Robin, Texas)

Jackson, How much will Texas beat OU by this year?

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:12 AM)

It's not about score. We're not talking about scores. We're worried about the game when it comes. It's all about the first game now.

mooress999 (Pittsburgh)

Gino, a lot of fans are really going to miss the backyard brawl. Do the players feel the same way, or do you think that a new Big 12 rivalry will happen pretty quickly? If so, who do you think that will develop with?

Geno Smith
  (11:13 AM)

It's mixed emotions. We loved playing Pitt. They played us tough. But I look forward to developing some new rivalries in the Big 12. I'm pretty sure all of those guys are ready to take us on.

Trey (Dallas)

Who's the most famous person who's # is in your phone? Not counting coaches.

Geno Smith
  (11:13 AM)

Peyton Manning.

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:13 AM)

Either Wade Phillips or my dad.

soonerfandave84 (OK)

Geno, with OU coming to Morgantown, will that be the biggest game played there in along time?

Geno Smith
  (11:14 AM)

I don't know about a long time, we've always had some pretty big games there, but it will be a pretty big game for the season. I'm sure our fans will come rowdy and ready.

Geno Smith
  (11:14 AM)

I love the fans.

Jackson Jeffcoat
  (11:14 AM)

Hook 'Em!

Buzzmaster
  (11:15 AM)

Thanks for chatting guys. We're going to have Arthur and Joe coming up next so get those questions in!

Buzzmaster
  (11:21 AM)

We've got Joe and Arthur now!

Soonerfandave84 (OK)

Randle, do expect to see 8 guys in the box from defenses this year?

Joe Randle
  (11:23 AM)

I'm ready for whatever.

Jacob (Nakatsu, Oita, Japan)

Arthur, I cannot wait for next season. Thanks for helping make KSU's defense exciting again! What do you see being the biggest challenge for KSU's D next year?

Arthur Brown
  (11:24 AM)

Our biggest challenge is always with this fall camp, just coming together and assembling everything to where it works. That's where you see the growth and preparation. That's where the biggest challenge lies, within our team.

Jason (Philly)

Joe, are you going for Barry Sanders TD record this year?

Joe Randle
  (11:25 AM)

I'm going to try and score as much as I can. That's not a goal or anything. Our goal is to just win a lot of games, however we've got to do that.

Joe Randle
  (11:25 AM)

By any means necessary.

George (Kansas City)

Arthur, how many times do you think you will sack Geno Smith this year?

Arthur Brown
  (11:26 AM)

However many times they allow me to get back there. Our pressure comes from our DL. They penetrate their OL and allow us to get back there. I'm not focused on sacking Geno.

Trey (Dallas)

If you could choose an Olympic sport to play, which would it be? Can't choose Basketball.

Joe Randle
  (11:27 AM)

I would play soccer.

Joe Randle
  (11:27 AM)

No, wait. Track. Long jump and triple jump.

Arthur Brown
  (11:27 AM)

I'm scared of heights, but if I could break that fear pole vault would be good.

Ryan (Stillwater)

Joseph, how much more is the team going to rely on you this year with the exit of Weeden and Blackmon? Do you see a substantial increase in carries coming?

Joe Randle
  (11:28 AM)

I feel like the coaches will make that decision. I'm ready to have the ball as much as they want me to have the ball. Coach Mike is very unpredictable.

Joe Randle
  (11:28 AM)

I'm sure we'll find a way.

Dylan (Jacksonville)

For both of you, which team are you most excited to play out of the newcomers?

Joe Randle
  (11:29 AM)

West Virginia. Both of them, actually. WVU has a lot of our old coaches, that will be a special game.

Arthur Brown
  (11:30 AM)

I'm looking forward to playing both, not one. TCU has some good players. I trained together with some of them.

Pat Jones (OKC)

Joseph, How would you compare old man Weeden with Peach Fuzz Lunt?

Joe Randle
  (11:30 AM)

They're both very similar in their playing styles. They both like to stay in the pocket and they both have strong arms. They're both capable of running, but they prefer to throw the ball.

Greg (VA)

Arthur, how satisfying was it to comeo ut with a good season last year after transferring?

Arthur Brown
  (11:31 AM)

The most satisfying thing for me was the gain and growth of the team. That was the most satisfying thing about last season, the improvement through the season.

Kyle (Holcomb)

Arthur, what do you think about the pre-season Big XII picks and how K-State was picked to finish 6th?

Arthur Brown
  (11:32 AM)

You have to start somewhere. Those predictions aren't accurate of the future. The best way to predict it is in our preparation of the team. It's an opportunity to improve with the success we had last season.

Jeff (Wichita)

For ABrown and JRandle, what is your favorite memory competing against each other in High School?

Joe Randle
  (11:33 AM)

I never played against Arthur in high school!

Sean (Kansas City)

Arthur - Last year you ran down RG3 in the open field and sacked him. Do you plan on doing that to Geno??

Arthur Brown
  (11:34 AM)

I was just trying to do whatever I can to make a play. I don't remember what was going through my mind during that play. The thing that's always going through my mind is to make a play.

DoTheGundy (Tulsa)

Is Gundy going to do more dancing this season?

Joseph Randle
  (11:35 AM)

Yeah, he's going to dance. He'll dance.

Tony (Columbus, OH)

Xbox or PS3? And on NCAA 13, if you have to play as a team different than your own, which one would you choose?

Joseph Randle
  (11:35 AM)

I have both, so either one.

Arthur Randle
  (11:35 AM)

I have neither.

Joseph Randle
  (11:35 AM)

Man, you don't like technology!

Short Round (Dallas)

Joseph, I think you have the best backfield in the conference. Will OSU be more of a ball control offense this year with a lot less passing than the last two years?

Joseph Randle
  (11:36 AM)

No. The offense will stay the same. We'll have guys step up to make plays, just like in the past. The offense will be the same.

Trey (Dallas)

What are your thoughts on the internet?

Arthur Brown
  (11:37 AM)

I'll post them on Facebook.

Joseph Randle
  (11:37 AM)

He doesn't get on his Twitter ever!

Arthur Brown
  (11:38 AM)

I'll answer on Twitter.

Arthur Brown
  (11:38 AM)

Looking forward to a great season. With the offseason training, we're looking good. Go Cats!

Joseph Randle
  (11:38 AM)

Go Cowboys!
