Jacoby is here!

Nathan (Denver)

How hard is it to have to sit out and watch your teammates knowing you can't go out there and help them?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:02 PM)

It's probably one of the hardest things I've had to do. But it comes with the game. I'll just have to take the negative and make it into a positive as much as possible. Help the guys and the team.

Chris (DC)

What are your best memories of playing in the rivalry game with South Carolina?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:03 PM)

My freshman year was probably the best memory. I had never heard of the rivalry before, because I was a FSU fan growing up, because that's where my brother went. But when I found out about it, it was fun. I scored in that game. That has to be my favorite memory.

Nathan (Denver)

How big of a win was it on Sunday over the Steelers?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:03 PM)

That was a huge win. Everybody at the game was on edge, especially in the end. We somehow figured out a way to win. That's all you have to do. We're just looking to take that positive energy and keep going with it.

Tom (ATL)

do you still stay in contact with CJ?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:04 PM)

Yeah, we do. I spoke to him yesterday, because I found out about his injury. I texted him. We keep contact on a weekly basis, an update, about football, outside of football. Regular friend stuff.

Kevin (FL)

How often are you able to get back to Clemson?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:05 PM)

Now that I'm on the West Coast, probably only once or twice a year and that's not during the season. Now that I have, unfortunately, some time off, I could go out if I wanted to. Maybe I will catch a home game.

Nathan (Missouri)

What has been your favorite moment so far in your NFL career?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:06 PM)

When I woke up that morning and heard my name called to be drafted. That's probably the happiest moment I had in my life. My dream came true.

Nathan (Kentucky)

What is your take on these replacement refs?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:06 PM)

That we need to get a deal done with our real refs and get them back into the game before someone gets hurt and games aren't lost on bad decisions.

Chris G (Connecticut)

Do you still watch any Clemson games anymore now that you're in the NFL?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:07 PM)

Oh yeah. I watch them every Saturday. Everybody reps their college on Saturdays so everyone wears a shirt or hoodie. Saturdays are fun. You get to watch the games. Especially here, because it's super early.

sam (oakland)

hows the recovery going?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:08 PM)

I just got my cast off yesterday, so I officially start rehabbing tomorrow. The swelling isn't terrible, but you can still see it.

Kelly (DC)

how big of a gamer are you?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:08 PM)

I'm a very big gamer. I've been playing since I was probably five years old, and I've always played against those older than me so I could get better. I play Madden on PlayStation.

Jeff (CO)

do you play as yourself?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:09 PM)

I can, if the opposing player online does not pick the Raiders. If I can't, then I go and pick another team, so I can stop the Raiders and myself.

Linda (St. louis)

how cool was it to see yourself in a video game?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:10 PM)

It was pretty exciting, in college to see myself in the game. In 2009, my senior year, I was on the back of the game. That was pretty cool for me.

Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)

Jacoby, Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:10 PM)

I have to call my mom before I play and I have to listen to Phil Collins before I step on the field. And I have to eat some gummy worms.

Lamar (Oakland)

Sorry about your injury mayne. I hope you come back stronger and faster than ever next season. The Raiders out there tryin to function. How big in your opinion was the Raiders win over the Steelers?

Jacoby Ford
  (3:12 PM)

The rehab is extensive, probably a few months for me to get back fully healthy. I can't put any weight on it for the first few weeks. Just doing some range of mobility and getting the swelling out of there. The win was phenomenal. They didn't quit. They just found a way to win. We have to take the win into the next game and we'll keep the momentum.

alex mares (CA)

how did it feel to be drafted and how you accompleshed your dream to be in the nfl

Jacoby Ford
  (3:13 PM)

I was excited at first. I knew that when I got here I had to make a name for myself. It's like starting all over again. I just wanted to help my team out as possible.

Jacoby Ford
  (3:13 PM)

I just want to say thank you for all of the support. I'll be back stronger next year.
