Chat with Ohm Youngmisuk

Ohm
  (12:57 PM)

Hey guys, what's up. Sorry about no chat last week. My laptop had serious issues in Carolina so was unable to do the chat. Got a loaner laptop now so let's get cracking.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

When will we see David Deihl,Ahmad Bradshaw,Dominick Hixon, & Hakeem Nicks Back Playing with the Giants?

Ohm
  (12:58 PM)

I think you will see Bradshaw, Hixon and Nicks this Sunday. Diehl, though, probably sounds as if he needs more time.

Michael C. (Westport, CT)

I'm curious -- do you have a lot of off-the-record conversations with Giants players, or is it all strictly by the book? Do you ever talk with Coughlin one-on-one?

Ohm
  (12:59 PM)

Mike, I do chat with some players about random things often. So it is not all on the record. As for Coughlin, I have probably only spoken to him alone just once by telephone when he made calls to every writer before a season a few years back. But otherwise, I only talk to TC in group settings.

Alex (Anaheim)

How do you expect the running back situation to play out this week?

Ohm
  (1:00 PM)

Bradshaw starts and gets the majority of carries unless Brown is cranking and Bradshaw is struggling. Then TC rides hot hand. But I'm thinking Bradshaw gets like 15 carries or more and Brown perhaps 8 carries or more if they are able to run the ball.

Pete (MI)

Sparty sucks!

Ohm
  (1:00 PM)

Offense not looking good as I suspected. QB and WRs too green... but I am still hoping for fifth straight win over Michigan.

LL (MI)

Typical sparkie fans.when they lose you won't see them or hear from until the next week when they win.Oh well see you in two weeks Mr. Ohmie!!!Losers.I hate them!!!

Ohm
  (1:01 PM)

Nah, I am here. And as some of you asked me before the season started, I said I did not expect MSU to win Big Ten or 10 wins or anything like that. But I am hoping for fifth straight win over Michigan. Going to be really tough with the inexperienced QB and receivers. But defense is going to have to carry them.

Primo (Brooklyn, NY)

Will Hosley have more coverage time on the Eagles' wideouts over Tryon? At times, Tryon gets beat like a dead horse.

Ohm
  (1:02 PM)

Right now Hosley is a question mark for the game with a hamstring injury. It's looking like he will not play after missing two practices so far. Coughlin will update us soon.

Matt (NJ)

Do you think the beef with Lesean and Osi is just noise or could it have an effect on the game, adverse or otherwise?

Ohm
  (1:03 PM)

There are too many other guys on the field for beef between two players to affect the outcome of the game really. Unless Osi fires up McCoy so much that he plays even better, I don't see it having a major impact on the game. McCoy is going to do his thing and same goes for Osi.

Matt H (York, PA)

With Barden having stepped up in a game where it seemed the entire team dominated a young panthers team, is Reuben Randle going to get a shot at the 3rd receiver spot?

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

Well Matt, I think Hixon returns to start at WR3 with Barden coming in after that and maybe a few snaps for Randle. But he has Hixon and Barden ahead of him.

david diehl (giants sideline)

Hey Ohm, If the O-line has another solid game without me, do you think I will lose my starting job?

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

It's always possible I suppose but I think when Diehl returns, he starts.

Wendy (PA)

I think our defense will really be hurt if Antrel Rolle cannot play. What are the chances he plays on Sunday?

Ohm
  (1:06 PM)

Wendy, it's certainly a question mark now that Antrel was not on the field at the start of practice today open to the media. He told me yesterday his knee was still bothering him quite a bit. That is not a good sign for a guy who is as tough as they come on this team. But you know what? Antrel will try to play through anything. So unless he can't move in practice tomorrow or the walk through on Saturday, I can see him trying to give it a go. But we got to see what happens today and tomorrow.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

What did you think of the Regular NFL Officials making a Deal?

Ohm
  (1:06 PM)

It's great! Too bad it took this long.

Primo (Brooklyn, NY)

What are your comments about the Osi vs LeSean beef?

Ohm
  (1:07 PM)

I love it. Anytime two players go back and forth in the media like that, it's entertaining. Definitely adds some spice to the rivalry. How can you not love it?

Matt H (York, PA)

Thoughts on the game sunday night; seems like a typical game the GMen would lose coming off a good victory against a division rival. How do you think it will play out based off of being around the team?

Ohm
  (1:09 PM)

Actually, I can see the Giants Eagles going down to the final five minutes like they usually do. And I think the Giants can pull this one out. What would be typical of the Giants is if they come out and struggle against Cleveland next week. LOL.

Matt H (York, PA)

Is there any way we will see Randle in the slot or outside anytime soon, maybe Randle/Nicks outside, Cruz in the slot? Is he not developing, or are they just taking their time with him?

Ohm
  (1:10 PM)

Cruz owns the slot. On the outside, it's Hixon or Barden and then maybe Randle from time to time. I just think he has other guys in front of him and he is a rookie. Got to be patient.

Primo (Brooklyn, NY)

What is the best way to pressurize Mike Vick? Give him less time to throw? He still got leg speed and can throw the ball

Ohm
  (1:11 PM)

Well Primo, other than throwing him in a plane 30,000 feet in the air or a compression chamber, I don't know how to "pressurize" Michael Vick. I kid... I think you might see what they did a little bit of last year and against Cam last Thursday, blitz a corner or a safety a bit. Try to contain him and maybe have Jacquian Williams shadow him at times. But they got to get pressure from the defensive ends first and foremost and stop McCoy.

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

Alright guys, thanks for the questions this week! See you next week, praying that my laptop comes back better!
