Jurko
  (1:03 PM)

Bears looked great defensively, still waiting for offense to step up. And Dave Toub and his special teams are as dormant as Mt. St. Helens. Let's go!

Gary (Fort Collins, CO)

So Cutler continues to get hammered with criticism over his attitude and demeanor on the field. Is it just me or have people forgotten about #9 Jim McMahon. He had that same fiery attitude, heck him and Ditka were always at each other's throats. I personally think Cutler's attitude about the game is what this team needs. They play soft at times and I can't blame Jay for wanting to get in these guys faces. As a former player, if my quarterback or anyone in a "leader" role is telling me to get going, I am probably going to listen, not cry about it. Any thoughts Jurko?

Jurko
  (1:05 PM)

Different era. The world has become so politically correct now, and the wussification of America doesn't allow for individual thought and action anymore. Sad state our society is in, but that's where we are today. If you don't like Cutler, don't watch. I like Cutler, I watch. Personally I thought Webb should have responded, and the fact he didn't tells me all I needed to know about him.

Undra (TX)

I saw earlier this week that Brandon Marshall tweeted s video in response to warren sapp comments, could u please tell Brandon not to drive and shoot videos. That's dangerous.

Jurko
  (1:06 PM)

10/4 will do.

Will Wright (TX)

Do the bears miss Johnny Knox's vertical speed?

Jurko
  (1:07 PM)

No. Because your OL can't protect that long anyway. And yes, it would be good to have someone taking the safeties deep.

Moon (Princeton IL)

If the offense does not improve this week, I don't see the defense being able to cover for them this week.

Jurko
  (1:08 PM)

I think the Bears have a good feel for the Dallas offense. They played them two years ago, but this Dallas defense with those two corners they have now is going to be tough to score on.

Wright (MS)

What happened to the Devin Hester package?

Jurko
  (1:09 PM)

It's been lackluster and uninspiring so far, thougth we've only seen about 15 percent of it.

Dre (Killeen)

Chilo Rachal is definitely a mauler can we prepare to see him pulling more to get the rbs out on the edge.

Jurko
  (1:10 PM)

The G and the O schemes are big with the Bears. You will see a play side guard or offside guard pull on many run plays. He just needs to listen to the snap count and he'll be ok.

Cody Seelhoefer (Bartelso, IL)

Jurko, I was planning on going to Dallas again, as i did in 2010 but have a wedding to attend in KC. Let me say, I am really bumbed about missing th game. I sat by you on the plane in 2010 and you were nice enough to buy me a beer since I left my wallet at STL airport. What do you project as a final score this year? I think we can leave Dallas with another W if Cutler can play well.

Jurko
  (1:12 PM)

Cody good hearing from you. The wedding is important, and there will be other Bears games to attend. I'm glad they found your wallet in St. Louis, even though it was empty. I have Bears winning 23-14 and the defense comes up big. Good hearing from you.

Jason (Los Angeles)

The Bears vs. Cowboys MNF game features perhaps 2 of the worst offensive lines in the league. Who has the edge on offense?

Jurko
  (1:13 PM)

Right now Dallas' is more high powered. The Bears have the ability, but haven't seen it yet on the field.

Dashon (Texas)

Do you think the tight end position needs to be more productive in order for offense to flourish.

Jurko
  (1:14 PM)

It would be breat if you had one. Bears don't have a TE. Unless it's Kyle Adams, but they'll find that out next year, not this year.

Ben (Cincinnati) [via mobile]

The Bears offense obviously looks subpar at the moment. What should we expect this weekend in Dallas? Despite their problems on offense, the Cowboy defense looks pretty solid.

Jurko
  (1:15 PM)

Expect a lot of running, trying to keep the ball out of the hands of the Cowboys. I'm still waiting for Earl Bennett or Devin Hester to have a game to compliment these receivers.

Travis Kalmer (Damiansville, IL)

Jurko, I am a huge Bears fan and will be in Dallas this Monday for the game. In your mind, what is the biggest key to the game?

Jurko
  (1:16 PM)

Webb vs. Ware. And how much help they'll give Webb.

Uzair (Chicago)

With all the mocking of Emery after drafting Shea with the first round pick, are you ready to give him some credit now?

Jurko
  (1:18 PM)

Who mocked him? Who are you talking about? Please don't put me in that group who don't know anything about drafting or what it takes to develop players. I have not mocked him, nor will I. There still is a question as to whether he'll be a better LB in a 3-4 vs. end with his hand in the dirt.

Everett (Dallas, TX)

As a Bears fan stuck in Dallas, I would really appreciate a defensive line performance similar to what we saw last weekend with the Rams. The Cowboys aren't exactly stellar with their line so would it be fair to predict another six sack effort?

Jurko
  (1:19 PM)

I think it would be unfair, though a pleasant surprise. Bears have to have a replica, it's easier to rush the passer when you have a lead and pin your ears back.

Matt (Denver)

Would you agree that Cutler needs to take what defenses give him, instead of always looks for the big play down the field? (At times forcing it)

Jurko
  (1:20 PM)

Yes! And that was the biggest adjustment Aaron Rodgers made on Monday. He took what the defense was giving him and that's why they gained yardage.

Dan (Omaha)

Is the key to winning Monday night whether Forte can be healthy enough to play?

Jurko
  (1:21 PM)

No, like to have him but if he's not healthy to play they can still put out a victory. When teams go through this they know they have guys who are going to play, back-ups who will have to play as starters. That's what happens now, they have backups who will have to step up. You're getting serviceable like Kahlil Bell.

Edward (Chicago)

What is your take on the replacement referees? Is it paramount for the Bears to jump on the Cowboys early so it doesn't come down to relying on the refs?

Jurko
  (1:22 PM)

Looks like this thing will be settled and the replacement's last game may be tomorrow.

Dan (Libertyville)

All I remember about the Dallas game from a few years ago is that Martz had a great gameplan....do you remember what it was? Lots of running and slants I think.

Jurko
  (1:22 PM)

Actually he hit Knox on a deep post and they had flaawed coverage and Olson took one all the way. Once they had lead they tried to run. D.J. Moroe had two picks. Chris Williams also got hurt and replaced him early. We never thought Cutler was getting out of the first quarter.

Dan (Omaha)

Jurko, do you think a solid full size sofa could slow DeMarcus Ware down more than J'Webb Nation? It would make him have to run around it a little further at least?

Jurko
  (1:23 PM)

I heard J'Webb Nation had already put an application at John Smythe. They're recruiting him already.

Patrick (Baltimore)

The defensive line is getting much better pressure on the QB this year. Other than Shea, they have basically the same personnel. What are they doing differently? I noticed they sometimes use 4 speed guys, but even when the normal DTs are in the game, they still seem to be bringing much more pressure to bear on the QB.

Jurko
  (1:24 PM)

The interior guys like Paea are getting a better pass rush, and Melton.

Ed (Kansas)

Do you think that Matt Forte plays this Monday? His outside speed will be key in slowing down the Cowboys defense.

Jurko
  (1:24 PM)

I hope so. He's important, but if he doesn't I think Allen can come in and do the job.

Jesse (Dallas, Texas)

Jurko-I am taking my 6 year old son to his first Bears Game...please tell me we will win on Monday against the cowboys. Thanks

Jurko
  (1:25 PM)

We will win Monday night against the Cowboys and your six-year-old will be a happy little champ.

Mason (Lowell IN)

will Jwebb ever figure it out? extend his arms and move his feet, or will he continue to be a big ball of potential that is never uncovered?

Jurko
  (1:25 PM)

Big ball of potential.

Jake (Niles)

After watching clay matthews abuse the offensive line especially webb, what can the bears do to slow down ware and his teammates from coming after cutler like the packers and rams did? Cowboys front seven have been applying great pressure due to have really good secondary.

Jurko
  (1:25 PM)

Sabotage the food at the team hotel.

Ramiro Ramos (Sandwich,IL)

Will the Bears try Chris Williams at Left Tackle this year?

Jurko
  (1:26 PM)

I hope not. Chris Williams is a bust, people. That's the worst draft choice in a while.

Rafael (Albany Park)

What does Cutler need to do to be an elite QB in the league?

Jurko
  (1:26 PM)

Use his brain. Needs to know how to harness himself. And sometimes you feel like you want to force it. I always say keep it simple and stupid. Better off you'll be.

C.W (Chicago)

Hey Jurko, when do you see the offense begin to take flight?

Jurko
  (1:27 PM)

Week 8 against Detroit.

Bill (Ontario)

If the Bears stay relatively healthy and manage to miss the playoffs, is it a FACT that Lovie will becanned?

Jurko
  (1:27 PM)

Yes. They have to go to the playoffs, and I think this team can get there. I think they can win the division.

Kary (Indiana)

With the receivers the Bears have, theres no reason for them to look like the White Sox offense as of late. Why do you think Jay is having such a hard time finding someone open with Marshall, Bennett, Jeffrey and Hester???

Jurko
  (1:28 PM)

He's not utilizing all four receivers. If your outside WR are covered, your slot guys have to be facing some one on ones.

Chris (Lakeview)

What do you dislike more, Harry's parodies or Friedell's blazers?

Jurko
  (1:29 PM)

Both are equally offensive, but I'm very happy today, I will see neither one of them.

Kyle (Schaumburg)

In your opinion, whose o-line is worse? Bears or cowboys?

Jurko
  (1:29 PM)

Bears.

Derrick (Dallas, Texas)

Jurk-Are you ready to see your team lose! LOL ha ha ha...Cowboys win...27-9....

Jurko
  (1:30 PM)

I went to Eastern Illinois. Your qb is an EIU product. If he does well, it would not sadden me. But I think the Bears win.

Dan (DC)

How can/will the Bears better utilize Marshall to ensure he's open and devestates opposing defenses, or have his drops plays a significant roll in his overall slow start?

Jurko
  (1:31 PM)

Put him in motion. That forces you to see exactly what the defense is doing. You can rub him off on people and use his athletic ability.

Jurko
  (1:31 PM)

Bears win this week in what will be another solid defensive effort.
